"You might as well stop your scheming, Kisuke Urahara," Retsu said.
"Scheming? What would I be scheming?" he asked.
"Oh, I don't know, how about getting Shirahime pregnant by anyone and I do mean anyone but Mayuri Kurotsuchi."
"And you'd rather he did?" he challenged.
"Kurotsuchi and Hitsugaya are both equally obsessed over her. So, are you feeling for the obsessive? Rather Hitsugaya do it - and do her?"
"He's practically younger than Ichigo - in a way," Kisuke objected.
"So, you'd rather Mr. Reincarnated Prince Who Wanted to Kill His Wife and Baby have baby number two with her, then?"
"Are you kidding me?"
"No, but you'd better be playing a bad joke trying to bring either Ichigo into this. No way in hell I'll stand aside and let the reincarnated prince touch her."
"Why, jealous you can't do it?"
"Jealous your own daughter gets laid more than you do? You know she and her mom are much, much more popular than you. Poor Yoruichi, she's so stuck on you. I think she should compete when she wakes up."
"Now don't bring her into this!"
"Better believe I will! Yukihime will likely agree. By the way, how did it feel to have your own daughter offer to sleep with you? Technically that's been twice now. First when she tried to save Ichigo, then when she was offering her thanks."
"First, it wasn't Shirahime's fault she didn't know who she was or who I was. And she thought I was with that man. And second, Yukihime is not my daughter. Not really."
"Shirayukihime Shinnouhi, wife of Prince Ichigo, was the daughter of your previous incarnation. Neither Shirahime or Yukihime are your daughters, Urahara. But both are Shinnouhi. If we are lucky, only one will get dragged back over there and one can stay."
"I don't want either to go."
"You may not have much choice."
"Then Yukihime should go."
"Shirahime would disagree, but that is likely to be what will happen. After all, Shirahime is just human now."
"So?"
"She won't live to see Yachiru grow up. You understand now, don't you? Time passes by so much faster for them."
"You're making that up."
"What if I told you Mayuri Kurotsuchi has plans to make her his wife to ensure she lives longer?"
"Now you're talking science fiction. He make that up or something?"
"No, but I'm sure that's what he will do."
"Like I'll let that happen."
"Then who do you want it to happen with? Jushiro? Shunsui?"
"Why them? She can't stand Shunsui anyway."
"They are the oldest compatible men here."
"Oh, not going to count the oldest man?"
"You think she'd go anywhere near someone who killed her children who still thinks what he did wasn't wrong?"
He looked at her.
"Her other twins. You remember. Matsuri. Fujimaru. The ones reincarnated as the Kudo twins. The ones Seigen Suzunami took away."
"Suzunami. Well, let's hope he's actually dead. I mean the prince is bad enough. One ex-husband is bad enough. But two? At this rate, let's just ask Aizen to come in and sweep the princess off her feet and marry her."
"He wouldn't pick Shirahime. There's no way. If he actually knew they were both here, he'd pick Yukihime."
"You say that like he wouldn't pick both."
"You have a point."

Children are terrifying.
A good bit of advice for a new parent.
But Renji had not yet reached that stage of his life.
Instead, he was just ushered in by several members of the fifth division's alpha and theta subdivisions and was now staring at a very unique child.
Said child was actually more terrifying than her eldest sister, Yachiru of the eleventh division.
A faint blue light glowed around the girl as she hovered around her brother, Daichi.
Vice Alpha Abe, who was also the fifth division's sixth seat, sat between two of the beds in the room. To one side of her, Daichi lay unconscious and pale. Red spirit binding threads tied each of his wrists to another in a different bed. To Abe's other side, Yoruichi Shihoin lay still, unconscious. A thick, red spirit binding thread still connected her wrist to Daichi's. In the bed on Daichi's other side, Yumichika lay as Yoruichi did, unconscious, with a red spirit binding connecting him to Daichi.
How did Ikkaku's nearly life-long crush end up being the father of this boy?
Only one bed was empty, no longer occupied as the glowing blue girl was now awake. Next to that bed, Shinjiro Kita lay still, but he had more color in his cheeks than the others who were not awake.
Realization hit Renji.
With the exception of Isane and two others, there were no members of the fourth division in this wing.
Realization came again.
Not only were most shinigami from the fifth division here, but most of those were from the alpha subdivision, the one in charge of the barrier.
Maybe zero division was coming for the children.
Perhaps they already knew of the one child that terrified Renji most of all.
