Chapter 48: Give us the Brush!
Upon entering the Storm Blot's Clouds, the Toonateers were shocked at where they entered. The inside of the clouds is like the Inside of the Blot from Epic Mickey 1, but there are patches of colors all over.
"Oh, gross. Where are we?!" Ortensia said.
"At least, it's colorful," said Tintley.
Gus types on the controls of the Oswacopter and shows a map of the entire Storm Blot.
Gus said while typing, "According to our coordination, we are at the base of the Storm Blot, better known as the Inert Front. The Inking Cloud gave us an opening to enter."
"Can you tell us that's listening worthy for our ears?" Turpley uninterested.
"It means went into the Storm Blot through its rear."
"Now, that's more like it. Hahahahahaha."
"Gus, can you direct us to where the Blot Heart is?" Oswald asks.
"Already on it," Gus responds.
"Oswald, is that your present?" Mickey asks, noticing the blue wrapping in red ribbon present on Oswald's back.
"Oh, yeah. I'll open as soon as all this chaos is over," said Oswald.
"I can't wait to decolorize those three Dictators. That BM will be great for stealing a kiss from me. Only Minnie could do that!"
"Did you say that they colorized themselves?" Tintley continued. "This isn't good. They evolved so much to create a Toon shelling that Paintbrush couldn't exterminate that the only way to destroy them entirely is to pierce them into their Hearts. But they are heartless, aren't they?"
"Or we Thin off their coating so the Paintbrush can have an opening," said Turpley.
"Oh, there's that. That it can absorb the Blotness inside them."
"First time you suggested something violent for a solution."
"First time, you suggested something peaceful for a solution."
"Touché."
"Gus, directions," Oswald demand.
Gus then answered, "Judging from the map of the Storm Blot, we need to enter Cold Thinner Downdraft, which can take us to the Warm Paint Updraft. And with it, we'll reach the Shadow Cloud, which the Blot is the Overshooting Top of the Storm."
"I need to find someplace to land. Cause I need my signature weapon."
"How about over there?" Mickey pointed to a purple platform.
"I'll keep her steady."
When the Oswacopter landed there, the Toonateers came out so it would transform back to Oswald's remote. Once he picks it up, the Toonateers walk through the enemy territory.
"It's time to end this chaos," said Mickey, preparing his Paintbrush.
But a gap opened underneath the Toonateers and vacuumed them down. They all screamed as they went down. However, each member fell into a different opening. Mickey landed in gray, green, magenta, orange, red, and yellow.
"Oh, dear. Where am I? Where is everybody? And why is it so cold with bright colors?" Mickey shivers.
But Oswald and Ortensia land on top of him. The impact makes him dizzy, and his eyes swirl.
"Mickers, we found you. Although we planned to look for you, not this way," said Oswald.
"Yeah, good to know, Ozzie-san. But please get off of me," said Mickey.
When the pair did, Mickey stood up and said, "I think we got separated from Tintley, Turpley, and Gus."
"No, you didn't," said Turpley, coming from Mickey's left pocket.
"Well, at least from the two of us," said Tintley, coming from Mickey's right pocket.
"It's good we went into your pockets, Mickey."
"But that would mean we got separated from Gus. Also, it's so cold," said Ortensia, hugging her husband.
"I think we got separated from something else as well. Or we're they switched," said Oswald, pointing out on Mickey's back.
Mickey took Gus's Blot Buster and said, "Oh, gosh! This isn't good at all. Without the Brush, how will we defeat the Storm Blot?"
"Hello? Hello! Mickey! Oswald! Ortensia! Tintley and Turpley! Where are you?!" Gus's voice was coming from Oswald's Remote.
"Gus! Where are you?! You wouldn't to have-" Oswald answered.
Gus is in black, blue, magenta, cyan, pink, and purple areas.
He is sweating while holding the Paintbrush and a walkie-talkie while saying, "The Brush? Yes. I think I'm the Warm Paint Updraft. It's so hot here that I feel like I entered a volcano hot spring sauna. It's sweat-inducing."
"You're heating up?! We're freezing!" Mickey's voice screamed.
"Then you must be at the Cold Thinner Downdraft."
"You know, that would explain why it smells like ice cream. It's a frozen treat down here," Turpley's voice excitedly.
"Ice cream doesn't have a scent. Although my children can smell it for some reason," Oswald's voice heard.
"Gus, stay put. We'll come to find you," Ortensia's voice spoke out.
"How can I? It's so hot," Gus responds.
"Since Thinner is cold and Paint is hot, I highly suggest we use Paint to go through this Thinner Downdraft to keep us warm," Tintley's voice suggested.
"As for you, Gus, use Thinner to get through the Paint Updraft so you can stay cool," Turpley's voice added.
Gus answered, "Alright. Listen carefully. There should be an elevator at the Downdraft that can take you to the Updraft. But since it's well hidden there, you might need Paint to reveal itself. As for me to find its entrance to here, I'll thin it out from its hiding place."
"Stand guard, everyone. Those Dictators can be watching our every move in here," Mickey said as the scene changed to where the three Toonateers and the Guardian Fairies were.
"Yes, sir," everyone answered.
"But there are so many Thinner Rivers surrounding us," said Oswald, seeing the river around the group.
"Leave this to me! It's like a river out of milkshakes," said Turpley, beginning to slurp up the entire river.
"YUM! SO SWEET! It tastes like Shamrock Shake… or is it chocolate mint?" Turpley exclaimed.
"Time to make a Paint Path," said Tintley, letting Paint surround her and drip while she flew forward.
"Let's hurry up and get to Gus," said Mickey as the three Toonateers stepped on the path and followed the Guardian Fairies.
Back with Gus, he tries a Thinner Path with the Paintbrush. But it slaps him in the face with its head and starts to float by itself.
"Ouch! What kind of a Paintbrush are you?" Gus rubbed the part that was slapped.
It then writes on the floor in Thinner, "Where's my Master?!"
"You mean Mickey? Well, we are separated by him and the others. Can you we work together to get to them?"
"Sorry. I only let the Master use me, but I can paint a Thinner Path for you to stay warm."
"That's good. And I will feed you Thinner Cans until we find the elevators."
"Deal. I'll get to work."
The three Generals watch from a balcony as the Paintbrush paints a Thinner Path. They showed a toothy grin as they looked down on Gus.
"Hehehe. What luck that our trap did?" BOswald smirked.
"Get in places, everyone. It's show time," BM said.
"Operation Manipulation Musical is a go!" BOrtensia snapped her fingers.
When BlotToon instruments showed themselves in a spotlight, it startled Gus and the Paintbrush for its hope into Gus's hands. The agents play "Gimme the Wand" from Fairly Odd Parents: Fairy Idol.
"What in the world?" Gus confused.
But when a spotlight shines on a stage with red curtains, smoke is all over as BM's silhouette appears and smoking his pipe.
BM: I'm your trusty B-L-O-Double T-Double O-N. [He pokes his head out of the curtains with his pipe in his mouth as the smoke from his pipe spells out, "BLOTTOON."]
Huh? Hey! ["You smoke?! Wrong!" Gus shouted while coughing from the smoke.]
My friends and I will put you back on the screens again. [Winged Blot Cameras surround Gus while he holds the Paintbrush tightly. The giant Blot Jumbo Screen outside the Storm Blot shows everyone in Wasteland what is happening now, which startled the Toons to look up.]
You and the Forgotten were shoved in this Wasteland. [The Forgotten Toons shook from feeling offended by what he sang.]
With nature and magic so out of hand ["He's right about that," Big Bad Pete commented while he and the Pete Gang remained handcuffed but sat on the floor together.]
Being unused for several years ["Ouch, too far," Petetronic added.]
I'm sure it puts all Forgotten into tears. ["Inside, yes. Though no one mentions it," Pete Pan said.]
BOswald: We want to give you the power those Humans got. [BOswald holds his Blue Booze bottle and throws some of the toxic Paint in the air for it to shape into Human faces.]
That makes the stories that you tell a lot. [It ends up on Gus, which makes him scream, "Gah! Alcoholic burns!"]
Hey! [Gus tries to fly off, by BOswald stops him by putting his hand on his face.]
BOrtensia: We want to give Toon from Forgotten and Remembered the freedom they'll love. [BOrtensia takes out a drawing on the wall of a Human Director hitting Epic Mickey Clarabelle and Goofy with a wipe to act before she erases the Human.]
We are your granters from above. [She waves her green wand to heal Gus's burns.]
And it isn't any evil plot [She then hides a pistol behind her back while trying to act polite, but Gus is suspicious.]
The three Dictators: So, give us the Brush! [The three Dictators then slide to the right to reveal a big sign, "Give us the Brush!"]
BM: And then you will see. [When BM tries to take the Paintbrush, Gus moves it away. BM takes out a net to catch Gus but quickly flies off for him to miss.]
The three Dictators: Give us the Brush! [Gus flies past the Give us the Brush sign as he looks panicked.]
BOswald: The free stars you'll be. [But he finds himself shrunk and in the palm of BOswald's hand and his Blue Booze in his other hand. He was to crush Gus in his palm, but he escaped.]
The three Dictators: Give us the Brush! [Back the Thinner Cold Downdraft, Turpley continues to drink Thinner in the way of his group as Tintley paints a path to warm up the three Toonateers.]
A-da-do-da-dee! [Mickey shoots Paint everywhere until it hits something to reveal a metal door.]
BOrtensia: All of this will be over in a rush. [He shoots again to reveal the elevator for his team to enter and Ortensia to hit the button for Paint Warm Updraft.]
If you give us the Brush. ["Wait? Is that music?" Oswald said, with his ears twitching.]
BM and BOswald: Shoo-doop-shoo-be-do-wah. ["If there's music, that means the three troublemakers are after Gus and my Brush," said Mickey.]
[25-second break.] [When the five enter the Paint Warm Updraft, they see Gus trying to escape with the three Dictators tapping after him. "At least, those three are better singers with more charisma," Turpley commented but irritated Mickey. "Okay, let's beat them at their own game. Toon y BlotToon," Mickey suggested. "Either that, or you want to prove that Heroes are better singers," Ortensia suspected. After Mickey makes an annoyed face, he runs off to begin singing.]
Mickey: I'm a certified Disney T-O-O-N [When a spotlight shines, Mickey slides in like a top hat and cane performer and uses Gus's Blot Buster to thin out words for Disney Toon on the floor. The three Dictators and Gus stop to watch him. The Dictators were surprised, but Gus looked relieved.]
We want to say everything good that comes from Human. [He taps dances while he shoots the BlotToons at the hearts. "Impressive…He's got my tastes. Yummy…," BM wiggled his eyebrows and smirked.]
Oswald and Ortensia: Shoop-bah-doo-bop-Dooby-doo-wah! [Mickey spells out what Oswald and Ortensia are singing on the wall in Thinner as the pair tango walks past it.]
Oswald: They brought us life, persona, and color. [As Oswald twirls Ortensia, he puffs up his chest.]
And make us feel like top dollar. [He then holds Ortensia by the hip when she stops twirling, puts her arm around his shoulder, and takes out five 100 bucks like a fan.]
BM: Yeah, right. [Annoyed, BM steps in and his arms crossed.]
Ortensia: There's a chance for Humanity to redeem. [Angered by him showing up, Ortensia morphs her hand into a mace and hits his head. This made BOswald and BOrtensia catch him before falling.]
They're not all bad as they seem. [Oswald and Ortensia hold hands with arms open for Mickey to get in between so they can hug him.]
Mickey and BM: Give us the Brush! [Gus finds up between the three Toonateers and the three Dictators and looks back and forth at the group.]
We'll paint your troubles away. [BM claws up his right arm to claw a portal on the floor.]
BOswald and BOrtensia: Doot-doot-bop-dooby-doo-zow! [He puts his hand in it to pull Mickey out, which surprises everyone and the Toons watching.]
BM: Give us the Brush! [Seductively, BM strokes Mickey's chin as Mickey looks disgusted.]
Tintley: You'll be played-(Turpley: -for a betray!) [Tintley and Turpley show themselves on the Blot Jumbo Screen to warn the Toons before a cane pulls them away off seen.]
Oswald and Ortensia: Doot-doot-bop-dooby-doo-zow! [BOrtensia reveals that she was the one who pulled them before she points a pistol at them.]
Mickey and BM: Give us the Brush! [As Mickey gets out of BM's grip, he snaps his fingers and taps his feet to show he wants a dance-off as BM smugly winks in agreement.]
A-do-doo-dow! [Turpley spits Thinner on BOrtensia's pistol causing it to melt and her to look upset while Mickey and BM high kick backward in the background.]
Oswald, Ortensia, BOswald, and BOrtensia: Doot-doot-bop-dooby-doo-zow![Minnie, who is watching this from Tomorrow City's Space Voyage, looked mad from seeing this as her group fights the BlotToons and destroys Bloticles before looking at the Moonliner Rocket in thought.]
Mickey and BM: Don't let our voices be on hush. (Tintley and Turpley: Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooh, yay!) [Back in the Paint Warm-Updraft, everyone looks at Gus, who is still holding the Paintbrush before he starts to fly away.]
Come on, give us the Brush! (Give us the Brush! Give us the Brush now!) [Mickey quickly goes over to him so they can switch weapons until Gus gets pulled down a portal which shocks him.]
BM: We'll set you free. (Oswald, Ortensia, BOswald, and BOrtensia: Doot-doot-bop-dooby-doo-zow) [BM makes Gus come face to face with him while holding him in his claws. But Gus gets scared when BM's eyes show BM holding a hatchet before using it to chop up a human shape of Walt Disney into pieces.]
Mickey and BM: Give us the Brush! (Tintley and Turpley: Give us the Brush!) [Mickey grabs Gus by the feet, and BM continues to hold him by the neck.]
I know you'll agree. (Give us the Brush now!) [They tug-of-war him while screaming, "I can't breathe!"]
Oswald, Ortensia, BOswald, and BOrtensia: Doot-doot-bop-dooby-doo-zow. [Meanwhile, Oswald and Ortensia swing dance against BOswald and Ortensia's break dance.]
Mickey and BM: Give us the Brush! (Give us the Brush!) [But the pulling made him extend enough for him to go up and out of their grip. By the look on his face, he had enough of this craziness.]
A-doo-dah-dee! (Give us the Brush now!) [Mickey and BM begin to climb on the walls to get to Gus while Tintley drinks up toxic Paint everywhere, and Turpley watches everything with Thinner Popcorn that popped from the location's heat.]
Oswald, Ortensia, BOswald, and BOrtensia: Doot-doot-bop-dooby-doo-zow. [BlotToons soon came to aid the three Dictators, but Oswald and Ortensia beat them when they spin together like a tornado to take them down. Even BOswald and BOrtensia end up sucked up]
Mickey and BM: Don't let your conscience get crushed. (Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooh, yay!) [But Mickey, BM, Gus, and gets caught in the tornado as Tintley and Turpley held onto the floor.]
Now, give us the Brush! [The tornado ends with the BlotToons laying down in defeat while Oswald and Ortensia are on top of them and hold Mickey up with hands like a pyramid. BOswald and BOrtensia did the same thing with BM. But both Mickey and BM held Gus together as they held the PaintBrush up like a sword with confetti and streamers falling.]
Tintley and Turpley: WOW! [Tintley, Turpley, and everyone on Wasteland were amazed that they clapped, whistled, and cheered as the song ended.]
"Haha. I still got it," Mickey commented.
"Hehe. Not bad for a Cartoon Rabbit who just turned 96. I'm still a spitfire toughie with luck," said Oswald.
"And I'm strong and tough like my husband, too," Ortensia added.
Seizing the opportunity, BM grabbed the Paintbrush and pushed the three Toonateers and Gus down.
He gets off BOswald and BOrtensia and says, "The manipulation part of the plan may have backfired, but the musical part played out. The Brush is mine now."
But the Paintbrush slaps BM's face with its head before hopping over to Mickey and going into his hands.
"What the Blotdroppings?! It already gains consciousness!?" BM yelled in rage at his claws, teeth, and Thinner Mickey's face.
This scared the Toonateers as Tintley and Turpley came to their side. Quickly, BM calmed down by taking out his pipe and smoking.
"Hey, wait! Smoking is banned to Disney Toons," Mickey suspected.
"And so is drinking booze like this. Blue Booze is made from toxic Paint. But we're outside the Disney Eyes. We are free to drink, smoke, and do anything that Disney had banned," said BOswald, before taking out another bottle and drinking it.
"That's the same Paint that melted my people into a boney statue state, and you dare to drink it in front of me," said Turpley, showing his fists.
"We're more enraged that you and your Paint Fairy friend still wish to fight off the good for your Toon friends," BOrtensia cracking her knuckles.
"What good could come out of killing the Humans that made everything in their lives possible?! The Humans aren't perfect, but that doesn't mean they can't improve to be better," Tintley yelled at the top of their lungs.
"We gave you the reasons to hate them. We told you all about the wrongdoings they've done to you. We even showed you what fanart and fanfiction made from your fans," said BM.
"Sheesh. You don't have to mention the weird shipping, mature stories, and pervy art. Besides, you didn't show us any of it," Mickey rolled his eyes.
"Okay, I get it. But you all still wish to fight for the Humans' protection. Why do you still care?!"
"Why don't you join us?!" BOswald added.
"What thing could the Humans have that allows you to be okay with them to make you suffer?!" BOrtensia showing her hand-scythes.
"Suffer? You've been studying our suffering but never the Humans' suffering," Mickey continued. "Some must go through wars, terrorism, abuse, abandonment, harassment, and losses even at young ages. Some are going through illnesses and diseases and have to take life-harm activities that make it worse, like drinking, smoking, and drugs. They are even naked, homeless, poor, uneducated, hungry, and broken from the cruelties they face."
"That's why we're made. Their world is cold and ruthless, so they come to us Toons from the comics, movies, and television," Oswald continued. "Us and everything from the Entertainment World allowed them to find comfort from their hardships. We've shown them there's still fulfillment in their lives."
"We are their signs of hope, happiness, and confidence," Ortensia continued. "Disney may have done some awful stuff, but that doesn't mean they don't have a chance to change and be better. I'm sure in the future, Disney will make films and shows meant for everyone showing characters that can have any relationship with anyone, regardless of gender, race, religion, or culture, especially those that involve the Outline of LGBT topics. They will give another chance to characters that have been discontinued or canceled. The future will always be there for all."
Having enough of their words, the three Generals prepared to fight until a rumble was heard. Everything starts to shake as the rumbling grows louder. The top of the Moonliner Rocket came bursting out the floor and in between the Toonateers and the three Dictators. Minnie and other Sensational Six, Animatronic counterparts, Mad Doctor, Prescott, Jamface, and other good Mickey Mouse & Friends franchise characters.
"Don't you lay a finger on my Mickey!" Minnie shouted and held her Blot Buster.
"Are you cursing, kidding me? BlotToons, attack," BM commanded.
BlotToons emerge from the floor and walls to attack. With their allies here, the three Toonateers kicked their BlotToon Counterparts to fight. BM tried to claw Mickey, but he dodged it to grab his cape and swing him around nonstop. Oswald and BOswald fired electricity at each other. Their electricity collided to unleash an explosion. Oswald quickly punched BOswald's face and used his ears to tie up his wrists. BM's cape ripped for him to be sent flying at BOswald, who tried to kick Oswald. Ortensia, with her sledgehammer hands, fights BOrtensia and her machete hands. Ortensia uses both her hands to do a slam down BOrtensia, but keeps her stance with her hands to deplete the impact. Soon, BM and BOswald ram into BOrtensia before colliding with a wall.
Find their clothes tattered, the three got on their feet, and BM said, "I loved that cape!"
"Like Eda Mode says, "No capes!" Mickey responds.
"We made these clothes with evolving from those Essences of the Darkest Hearts," said BOswald.
"If you can't join our cause, we'll make you," BOrtensia said while her eyes glowing.
With three Dictators glowing in red, blue, and green, they summon Bloticles.
The Bloticles seized their allies while Prescott shouted, "You slippery snakes of ink! Unhand us!"
"Ouch! It's bone-crushingly painful!" Jamface yelped.
"My sons!" Gus exclaimed.
"This is your last chance! Join us, or we'll make the Humans find a way to replace your friends with new versions," BM said.
Turpley spits Thinner at the three Dictators. This made them scream with their colors and clothes melting away. Turpley's Thinner made the three Dictators turn back to old forms. Tintley uses the Paint of the place for Bloticles to collapse and free the allies.
Sensing the Paintbrush's communication, Mickey said before throwing it at the three Dictators, "You got it!"
As it was thrown, it split into three duplicates, piercing the three Dictators' chests and up against the wall. The strike made them gasp and begin to struggle to breathe.
"Wow! So it can clone. Impressive," Mad Doctor commented.
As the three Toonateers go to their BlotToon Counterparts, they see red, blue, and green blood coming out from where they were struck.
As they cough up blood, they face their Toon Counterparts while trying their pain with smiles.
"You know…we are made from…your DNA…We have your quirks, style, and feelings….We're mirrors of yourself…." BOrtensia spoke.
"…The negative thoughts, emotions and traits…your dark side and malicious intentions…you chose to hide…Are revealed through us…," BOswald added.
And before taking his final breath, BM said, "As long…as you have them…We won't disappear completely…And we shall…return…"
The three Dictators slowly dissolve as the Paintbrush duplicates suck up their remains so they can be exterminated inside.
The Paintbrush returns to its single being and hops into Mickey's hand as Mickey says, "But as long as we have our good side, our darkness will be overthrown."
Minnie hugged Mickey and said, "Oh, Mickey. You were incredible. Although, I wish I could chop off the head of your imposter and crush it with my heels."
Everyone sweatdrops as Ortensia says, "Yeah. I can see myself in her."
"All that's left now is to take down the Storm Blot," said Donald.
"Yeah," Animatronic Donald agreed.
"We must leave it to the Toonateers. It's best to return to Wasteland to continue the fight," Yen Sid said.
"And we came up here for nothing?" Daisy complained.
"Let me about it, sister," Animatronic Daisy added.
"How about you launch fireworks to buy us time to obliterate it?" Oswald suggested.
"Sounds like fun, haw-haw," Goofy chuckled.
"You heard Oswald. Prepare the fireworks," Animatronic Goofy said to a walkie-talkie.
"You got this, Mickey. Stay brave," Minnie said before she kissed his lips.
"Stay safe with everyone else, Minnie," he responds as the Toonateers' allies return the Rocket.
Gus said as it went back down, "We need to reach the Shadow Cloud. And with the Updraft, it takes there through an opening."
"Let's make an opening," said Mickey, pointing the Brush up.
It let out a massive beam of Thinner to create one. Since it was made, the Toonateers went upward due to the current.
"Look out, Storm Blot! Here comes the Toonateers," Ortensia said before they entered the gap.
