Chapter 49: Terminating the Storm Blot
On the Shadow Cloud, the Blot, similar to the one from Epic Mickey 1, watches the carnage between Toon and BlotToon. He takes a deep breath to show a heart shape red glow where the Blot Heart is. He became startled when a beam of Thinner shot out of the clouds, and the Toonateers flew out where it was fired.
The Toonateers landed on their feet perfectly and looked down.
"Woah, this highest place I've ever been to. And the highest peak of Wasteland is Mickeyjunk Mountain," Oswald commented.
"Oh, gosh! You can even see the Battle of the Toons and BlotToons. Luckily, the Pete Gang is guarded well by the Sprite, close to Mean Street's train station," Mickey said.
"Wait? How can tell from up here?"
"Is anybody feeling lightheaded from the height?" Ortensia rubbed her head.
Turpley turned around and said, "And is anybody paying attention to who's behind us?"
The Toonateers turned to face the Storm Blot as it spread its dragon wings.
"It's even more horrendous than I remember," Tintley said.
"Tintley…Turpley…," the Storm Blot said in a demonic voice.
"I don't remember it can talk."
"Destroy…"
It then summoned Bloticles from the platform to attack the Toonateers.
"Let's get Epic…Mickey style," said Mickey, taking his Brush.
The Toonateers charge their way to the Blot as the Bloticles approach them. Mickey used his Spin Moves so they could enter his Paintbrush for elimination. Oswald strikes them with his Remote by electricity as Ortensia slices them with her sword hands beside him. Gus, Tintley, and Turpley fire Paint and Thinner, so they fall apart. The Storm Blot then summons Blot versions of Pluto, the Rhino Guards, Prince John, Sheriff Nottingham, animals of the Jungle Book, and Mowgli from the Scrapped Content of Epic Mickey 2.
As the Toonateers continued to fight, Gus said, "There's too many of them."
"Maybe we should've let our allies and friends stay to help us out," said Tintley.
"But no. They had to listen to Long Beard, Baldy, MacOldWiz," Turpley complained.
Fireworks then appeared and attacked the Blot Monsters.
"Fireworks?" Oswald questioned.
The characters of Planes are seen firing fireworks at the Blot Monsters while the Toonateers' friends and allies are riding multiples planes of Pedro from Saludos Amigos.
Panchito mariachi screamed while waving his hat before saying, "Toonamigos! We are here!"
"Vamnos, everyone! This is a battle for all to protect all," said Jose.
"Yoohoo, Mickey! Never forget we are always there for you," Minnie said.
"We'll keep the firearms endless. Take that abomination out," Dusty Crophopper said.
"Time to shoot this Paintbrush through the Blot Heart," said Mickey, preparing to spear-throw the Brush.
The Blot continues to shoo the fireworks that the Toonateers' allies fire while Mickey throws the Brush. But the Blot hit it to fling away.
"Dagganabbit," Oswald commented.
"Somebody catch it!" Mickey demanded.
"I got it! I got it! I got it," the Toonateers exclaimed and opening their hands.
"We got it," said Tintley and Turpley before they caught it.
"NOOOOOO….," The Blot shouted in fear.
Due to the Guardian Fairies touching it, the Paintbrush glowed in circling blue and green. Everyone stopped to watch as it shone in a Neutral Guardian Pool color. The glow was so bright that it was broadcasted all over Wasteland. The Toons and BlotToons, watching and respond, "Ooooooooo…."
The Paintbrush grows to the length of the fighter jet, Tupolev Tu-128 "Fiddler."
"Woah. I don't know what we did, but that looks like we made it into a Paintbrush Torpedo," Turpley complimented.
"Our pure essences of Paint and Thinner must've caused it to evolve," said Tintley.
Yen Sid, on a starry cloud, spoke out on a megaphone, "The Paintbrush has gained its ultimate form. Mickey, you and your friends must ride it toward the Blot Heart. It's the only way the Storm Blot can be eradicated."
"You heard the Thundering Old Voice in Blue Dress. It's time to make him go kaboom-boom!" Turpley excited.
"It's a cloak!"
"Whatever you say, ma'am."
Everyone tries to hide their laughter as Yen Sid puffs up his face in annoyance.
As the Toonateers climbed onto the ponderous Paintbrush, Mickey said, "Okay, Brush Buddy. It's time for launch."
But when it stands there and does nothing, Gus kicks it, saying, "Work, drawing tool!"
This made the ponderous Paintbrush flies upward at rocket speed off-scene, but it caused Mickey's shorts, Oswald's shorts, and Ortensia's skirt to fall off. But three Toonateers' hands appeared to take back their three bottom clothes. With the clothes already back on, the Toonateers keep their grip tight on the ponderous Paintbrush.
"And I thought the Moonliner Rocket's speed was the fastest thing in Wasteland," Oswald said.
The ponderous Paintbrush turns around as soon as it reaches the highest level in the skies of Wasteland. It points toward where the Storm Blot's Blot is as the Toonateers start to stand on it. Their allies continue to fire fireworks at the Storm Blot.
"Always have a good run off to give it all you got," said Ortensia, cracking her knuckles.
When the heart shape on the Paintbrush glows, Mickey says, "Oswald, place your Remote on the heart shape. At least that's what it tells me to tell you."
Oswald places his Remote on the Heart and presses it. This made a buckle surrounding the Brush for it to stay, and the two antennas turned into a yoke.
"I think it knew this might happen," said Oswald, grabbing the yoke.
But when he gets electrocuted, he yells, "Ouch! Hey, what was that for?!"
"It wants me to drive," Mickey responds.
"But it's my Remote."
But when he gets shocked again, Oswald, with eyes twitching in annoyance, says, "Mickers, you have my blessing."
"Okay, Ozzie. You have been driving three times anyway," said Mickey, taking the yoke.
Once Mickey touched the yoke, his Heart glowed red as he said, "I'm going to keep him steady for the target."
"Toonateers, look out! Bloticles, heading your way," Mad Doctor shouted.
The Bloticles came towards the Toonateers and the giant Paintbrush.
"Oswald, hold me up," said Ortensia.
"On it, kitten," said Oswald, holding his hands up.
When his wife stands on them, he extends his arms, so she'll slices down the Bloticles. As she does, Gus, Tintley, and Turpley fire it remains with Paint and Thinner.
"Toonateers, we can't keep the fireworks on forever," said Jamface.
"He's right. These fireworks cost me money," Scrooge McDuck yelled.
"If we can blind him, you'll have enough time to make the perfect shot of Blot Heart," Prescott added.
"Blind? Of course. Oswald, open your present!" Mickey said.
"What?!" the other Toonateers were confused.
"Mickers, I know it's my birthday, and you want me to open your present, but right now?!" Oswald reply.
"Just open it!"
"Okay, okay, Mr. Mouse."
As his ears keep his wife held up, Oswald unwraps the present from his back. The gift turned out to be a golden frame family portrait of Mickey and Oswald being held in the arms of Walt Disney in the middle with the rest of the family from left to right: Ron W. Miller, Diane Disney Miller, Lillian Disney, Roy O. Disney, and Roy E. Disney, while in front of them are all of Mickey's known relatives like Felicity Fieldmouse, Morty and Ferdie. There's even a plate titled: The Disney Family on the bottom of the frame. Oswald became wide-eyed in wonder and awe, and his heart was touched.
After shedding a tear, Oswald said, "Oh, Mickey. I love it. And I see where you're going with it."
Oswald then makes the portrait shine bright for its reflecting light to land on the eyes of the Storm Blot. Being blind, the Bloticles stop coming while he rubs his eyes.
"I pierce through the Heart of millions! I will do it to you with Paint and Thinner!" Mickey shouted before the Paintbrush touched the Blot Heart.
Once it was pierced on the Blot Heart, the Storm Blot let out a painful scream that rang the ears of the Toons, making them cover their ears. But it also made all of the BlotToons and Blotilces on Wasteland explode.
"We did it," said Chip.
"Yeah, victory to the Toons!" Dale excitement.
All of the Toons of Forgotten and Remembered cheered in victory.
"Rejoice! Rejoice!" Stitch yelled.
"No one can outmatch the Disney Toons!" Darkwing Duck swings his cape in charm.
But Edna Mode hits his head with a rolled newspaper and says, "No capes!"
But they all stop to see how the impact was so hardcore on the Blot Heart that it made the Paintbrush go through, which made the sparkles of the Darkest and Purest Essences of Hearts fall. The Purest Essences entered their chests of Good and Neutral characters, while the Darkest Essences entered their chests of Evil characters. They all rain among the Toons of Forgotten and Remembered.
"I feel whole again," said Evil Queen.
"Ha! Those BlotToons should learn better of never stealing the essences of our Hearts. It's so dark that no one can handle it," said Jafar.
"We did it! The Storm Blot has been defeated," Tintley cheered.
Rainbow magic emerged from the Paintbrush to pull the Storm Blot in for extermination. But when it straightens up, the Toonateers begin to slip down slowly.
"Well, that moment was short," Turpley commented before they all fell.
As they screamed, Guardians appeared to catch them and get them to land safely at the Heart of Wasteland.
"Phew. Thank goodness the Guardians came to our aid," said Gus.
"It may have been the Paintbrush who defeated the Storm Blot, but I think it was the power of family, friendship, and love that saved us all," Oswald looking sweetly at his portrait gift from his brother.
"I don't know how you made this gift so realistic, Mickey. But it feels like a real photo," Ortensia is looking at it.
"Guys, look!" Mickey pointed at the giant Paintbrush in the sky.
With their allies joining them on the island by landing on their planes, everyone all over Wasteland watches to see that the Storm Blot has entered it as the Brush glows in rainbow color. Coming out of its head was Neutral Guardian Pool waters come out like a geyser. Everything's repainted as it rains on Wasteland, but millions of islands float out of the oceans.
"It's the most beautiful smell I've ever sniffed. Guardian Essences…," said Tintley.
Coming from Pete's Steamboat, the still handcuffed Pete Gang, Memorable Forgotten and Remembered Toons, arrived.
"Mickey, everyone. You got to listen to this. Thanks to the Paintbrush," said Snow White, millions of islands were made.
"More islands that we don't know what do with," Oswald said.
"There is," Cinderella continued. "As you may know, there are Toons from remembered movies and tv shows that are finished, canceled, or discontinued. We were wondering if we could move to the islands on Wasteland."
"You wish to move to Wasteland?" Ortensia surprised.
"The Cartoon World is overcrowded with ongoing and new movies and tv shows. We, the Retired Toons, want to find a place to put our worlds on," said Aurora.
"That's not a bad idea. Combing a Toon World of a Movie or Show with an island by magic will be good usage," said Yen Sid.
"Yeah. It would be best if you allowed it, Ozzie-san," Mickey encouraged.
"Well, okay. But I have a lot of paperwork to go through," Oswald responds.
But the Essences begin to fall on the island, and Tintley and Turpley go toward the field of the stony Ang-Tint Tribe and bony-statue Devi-Turp Clan. They came close to Mother Angel and Papa Devi L in concern once their friends and allies came along when the Essences landed on the two tribes, their colors were restored, and they began to move.
"Oh, my motherly angelic forehead," Mother Angel rubbed her head.
"This devilish papa never felt this mix-up in years," Papa Devi L added.
But when the two clans and their leaders see Tintley and Turpley.
"Our family!" Tintley and Turpley cried in joy.
Rejoicing, the two clans and their leaders do a group hug with the Guardian Fairies while the Toons say, "Awwwww…."
"It's a miracle! You all came back," said Tintley.
"You won't believe what we had to go through for you to revive," Turpley said.
"I love happy reunions," Mickey commented.
But when the two tribes look down at the Toons, Mickey says, "Hi. Tintley and Turpley told us everything about you."
"Oh, you're the Toon with pure Disney blood, aren't you," Mother Angel smiled.
But she pinches Mickey's ear, and Papa Devi L does the same with his other ear.
He screams in pain while Papa Devi L says with a fake smile, "Thanks for dropping Thinner and Toxic Paint on us, pal!"
"Hey! You two were the ones who summoned me to save the day," Mickey standing up for himself.
Mother Angel and Papa Devi L puffed up their faces in annoyance once they let go of Mickey's ears.
But when they saw Yen Sid, they quickly bowed before him and said, "Master Yen Sid?! Please forgive us for our Guardian Fairies' recklessness and ignorance!"
"Now that I know the whole story of what happened to my project, it's best to forgive and forget," Yen Sid calmly replied.
The Paintbrush soon floats down before everyone until it shrinks to its standard size and returns to Mickey's hands. It playfully tickled his face while he said, "Haha. You did a great job out there, pal."
"So, now that everything is back to normal, I guess my cousins and me-" said Big Pete while he and the other three Petes tried to leave.
But Oswald gets in front of them as everyone looks at them angrily while he says, "Not so face, you quartet of wackos! We may have fixed everything, but the BlotToon and Storm Blot issues were still your wrongdoing. Therefore, as your punishment, you four will be promoted."
"Huh?" the Pete Gang, confused.
"Eh?" everyone was shocked.
"Promoted?" Petetronic asks.
"That's right," Oswald continued. "By being the nannies of my 420 Bunny Children."
"What?! No!" Pete Pan was terrified.
"Don't worry; you'll be taking daily shifts, each of you taking 6 hours. Come on, kids. Meet your new nannies," said Oswald.
"Oh, dear," said Small Pete before the Bunny Children pounced on the Bunny Children.
"Ortensia and I were trying to find full-time babysitters for the Bunny Children. Don't know why no one will take it the jobs."
"Yeah, I wonder why?" Animatronic Donald said in sarcasm.
"I just want to say this is the most eventful birthday ever."
"Yeah. Despite all this BlotToon insanity, it turns out good at the end, Ozzie-san," said Mickey, patting his brother's back.
"Turpley and I have a present not just for Oswald but for all of the Forgotten Toons in Wasteland," said Tintley.
"You do?"
"Yeah. Follow us," Turpley said.
"You think?" Mother Angel turns to Papa Devi L.
"I think they are," he responded before everyone started to follow the Guardian Fairies.
They came to the Toon Heart Orb before their hands glowed in their color. It made the Orb shine a light at the island's center and created a doorway underground. With serious faces, the Guardian Fairies lead everyone downward.
