Coming up to Mary's and her roommate's house, I couldn't help but remember the blonde woman with Dracula. Mary's roommate Lucy was described as resembling the blonde woman. If it was, we needed to be causious. This could be the 'finish line' he referred to. 'It is not... Honestly Stasis, maybe I expected more of you than I should. I turnly thought you would have figured it out.'

'Figured what out?'

'Tck, I am not going to tell you. Things are much more entertaining if you were to figure it out on your own.'

Mary was unlocking her door, asking if he was in there. I told her I had no idea but to be careful just in case. "Van Helsing should be here by now..." Mary grew concerned, and I reassured her that her father knew what he was doing. I honestly had no idea if Abraham was dead or alive.

The vampire keeped tapping I the back of my mind, "What could you possibly want now!" The vampire chuckled, clearly amussed by my innoence. Mary jumped at my sudden outburst as she walked to her room. The look in her eyes almost made me laugh, "Be glad he mostly bothers you in your sleep."

"I'll just be glad if he never bothers me face to face," she smiled knowingly. She has been tormented by Dracula for her whole life. Mary wished she could tell him to shut up, maybe even tried. Years of doctors and theripy for monsters that were not in her head, not a disease, but real and unalive. I at least knew I wasn't crazy when he first spoke, Azrael was another story.

We called for Van Helsing and Lucy when the phone rang and Mary answered it. It was her roommate Lucy. Mary asked where she was, and the answer chilled both of us, "Where do you think? With your father..." Then a rattling and footsteps were hear upstairs. He was here, and he has been busy.

Mary and I walked up the stairs and saw a big mirror shattered to pieces. Hebrew writing was on the wall behind the mirror, written in blood! Mary went into Lucy's room and hung up the phone on the floor while I examined the writing, whispering its words, "Follow me, for I am the path to eternity."

In the room, I heard Mary cry, "Father!" I ran in the room to find Van Helsing pierced through the neck with a curtain pole under the bed. Mary tried to call the emergency number, but the line went dead. Not that it would help, but people do strange things in extreme situations. I told Mary to stay close, and I examined the body.

Azrael walked up behind me, and he had tears in his eyes. "Come to collect, did you?" I did not turn to him in case Mary thought I was actually talking to the vampire. I did not want to scare her more.

"I came to say goodbye. Being deathless, those who follow him are too. Yet, he decides their end. I have been after the vampire for centeries. Years have passed since the vampire stole my heart from me. The one I love was lost to obsession and deathlessness. Now lost to death, may you have peace, Abraham."

I understood every word, "You loved him?"

Azrael sighed, "Not in the way mortals tend to, but yes. The vampire stole Abraham and consumed him with Abraham's obbession with him. I could not bear it and left to find a way to set him free. You did allow that to happen, but it is not finished yet." Azrael left with the chilled breeze coming from the wind.

'We are not finished yet, are we?' I whispered to the vampire, where ever he is.

'No, we are not. Yet, I won through Van Helsing's death. My vengance is deeper, but even his death allows my victory. I just need to claim my prize. Thank you for bringing her to me!'

"He is here. We need to leave!"

Just then, the woman Lucy appeared, grabbing Mary's head. She was the woman with Dracula, which made her a vampire. "You had him every night in your dreams, and you never even shared," she released her friends head, "It is better than chocolate."

Mary and I rushed out of the room. Mary stopped, however, and seemed to be in a trance. Another vampire appeared in front of us, Valorie, "What makes you so special? What makes you the one?"

"Oh, I know," Solina crawled across the wall, "It's obvious. I can still taste it on your daddies blood."

"Ah yes, the essence. What he stole from Dracula, he passed ln to you!"

Lucy appeared on the other side of the wall, "Eternities little prom queen!"

The brides laughed as I stated they dared not touch her and dissappeared one by one. Mary seemed to be coming out of her trance they she was aware of the vampires that were in the room. We both went to walk down the hall only to hear a noise behind us. Looking at it, it was Dracula watching us closely. I pulled out my silver sword and held it in front of Mary. "In my way again, Stasis! How dare you use silver against me when I think you know why I hate it so."

"Run!" I yelled at Mary. She did not hesitate and took off the hall. "Very rude to refer to a woman as an object or prize!" He only scowled at me. When Mary reached the stairs, I lowered my sword and bolted for them. Behind us, Dracula turned into a wolf and chased us out of the house.

Outside, Simon jumped out of the vehicle. 'You went back for the vehicle!" I scolded him.

"It is a rental!" Simon yelled back as he shot at the wolf jumping out the door towards Mary and I. Before it got hit, Dracula turned into a flock of bats and flew away. I could hear him cursing me in my head.

Simon came towards us, "Are you okay?" We both nodded. "Where is your father?" Simon followed Mary's gaze back to the house. He knew Abraham Van Helsing lost to Dracula in the end.
