Bonnie had a rough day as her older sisters came to town, and they were unbearable as usual. They always talk about how they are smarter than her, prettier than her, and how they get the most handsome guys in college. She needed someone to talk to. Late at night, she decided to call Danny and started to talk about her sister in her bedroom.
"Wow, that's rough," said Danny
"I know they'll be staying for the rest of the week," said Bonnie
"Do you want me to come over?"
"Nah, I can handle it. I've been through worse."
"Alright."
"By the way, I never asked, but do you have any siblings?"
"Yeah, older sister."
"And what's she like?"
"She's pretty good but can be noisy sometimes."
"Ah, that must be nice."
"Hey now, whatever your sisters say to you, it's not true, and no matter what happens, you got me." Danny paused "god, that sound corny doesn't."
Bonnie laughed a little, "It is, and thanks."
Danny paused again. "I gotta go. I have to take care of this dog issue; bye."
Bonnie managed to say goodbye before Danny hung up. Bonnie smiled sweetly and thought about Danny again, and that feeling returned like a chubby kid going back to the candy shop with money. However, that feeling faded away when she heard snickers behind her, and she turned to see her sisters at the doorway.
"It looks like our sister has herself a loser boyfriend," said Connie.
"He's not a loser," Bonnie defended
"Certainly someone we wouldn't date in our life time," said Lonnie
"Yeah let's go before she start day dreaming about living a crappy one bed apartment," said Connie
The two left, leaving Bonnie fuming, but then a thought occurred to her.
What would it be like if Danny was my boyfriend?
