"Raijin use Quick Attack!"

The yellow pokemon was enveloped in white energy as he rammed into the sandshrew sending it flying back onto the ground. The two trainers watched the fallen pokemon attentively for movement.

After it was apparent that the pokemon was out cold, the opposing trainer recalled the fallen partner. Walking up to Izuku, he gave a shaky smile and a nod before handing him his prize money and walking away.

Both trainer and pokemon watched as the other trainer retreated, before turning towards each other. Both stared before a grin broke out across their faces. Each of them jumped up with joy.

"WE WON OUR SECOND BATTLE!"

""ELE, ELEK!"

Both cried out in joy as they started jumping up and down celebrating their second victory. The fox pokemon that was watching the battle rolled her eyes but called out her congratulations to the electric type.

Raijin just cheered her way too happy to really care. After a minute of celebration and a few strange looks from nearby pokemon, both Izuku and Raijin calmed down.

Clearing his throat, Izuku spoke. "Uhh - wow - we should really stop, uhh, doing that, shouldn't we."

Raijin nodded in agreement. Yōko just snickered at the looks of pure embarrassment on their faces. Both Izuku and Raijin had a tint of red on their cheeks.

Yōko started trotting forward before stopping for a moment to turn back, and nod her head towards the road to let her team know to get moving. They didn't have all day to act stupid after all.

Izuku and Raijin didn't protest and started walking forward. Izuku began his usual talk of heroes and different applications of their moves as they walked. Raijin was tentatively listening to his trainer's word vomit, as Yōko mostly enjoyed nature, occasionally tuning in to what her trainer was saying.

It was a relaxing day to spend the day.

After spending the previous day traveling and battling whichever trainers they found, they had to settle for the night. The next morning, they awoke to a visitor.

Izuku hated the sun right now. He was having what felt like one of the best sleeps of his life, but the sun's rays danced across his eye lids.

Groaning in annoyance, he sat up rubbing the spots out of his eyes. After the quick rub, he stretched his arms up and yawned. As he was getting up, he looked around and locked eyes with something.

Something yellow and not Raijin.

"Bra."

His team was awoken by his subsequent scream. "AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Izuku and his team of 2 just watched as Abra scarfed down what he had cooked for breakfast. A moment of silence occurred after Abra finished his breakfast before Izuku spoke.

"Why, why are you here?" Izuku asked, rubbing his temples.

Abra stared for a moment before turning to his team and pointing. "Abra."

Izuku stared at him for a moment, before Abra sighed, its shoulders sagging, as it proceeded to throw a couple punches at the air before pointing at his team again.

"So, you want to fight them?" He was met with a nod and expectant look from Abra.

"What do you guys think, do you want to fight . . . him?" He turned towards Abra, receiving a nod.

Yōko and Raijin shared a look before turning away, murmuring something between themselves, before turning back and nodding. Ignoring their strange behavior, Izuku stood up and gestured for them to step further into the forest, where a clearing resided.

As they approached, Raijin stepped forward and lightly surged with electricity, with occasional crackles dancing along his form.

Abra on the other hand didn't move, didn't flaunt his power, he just stared. The only move he made was when Izuku asked if he was ready, responding with a nod.

"Raijin use Charge." Not wasting any time, he started off the battle with set-up.

As Raijin started twirling his arms around, each one becoming blurs as they began cackling with electricity, Abra did nothing. He just stared, his eyes glowing ambiently with psychic energy.

"Now Thundershock!" Deciding to test the waters, he ordered Raijin to attack, seeing how the battle would play out.

Abra teleported and appeared a couple feet to the left of his previous position, avoiding the small bolt of electricity that struck where he was.

Pokemon and trainer watched the psychic pokemon, ready to react to any action it would make. Everyone stood there for a minute unmoving.

The trainer finally cracked and ordered his next move. "Raijin start charging, slowly, prepare for a counter attack."

Raijin nodded and started spinning his arms as he had done earlier. New electricity started cackling amongst his arms, his eyes locked onto his opponent.

As Raijin was slowly charging his power, Izuku observed the opposing pokemon. It wasn't fighting back, simply observing. Was it waiting for them to slip up? Or was it trying to bait out some more attacks?

As he was lost in thoughts he almost missed the psychic raising its arms as they were engulfed in flames.

Eyes widening in surprise, he shouted out to his teammate. "Raijin! Fire a Thundershock at the fire then use Quick Attack to get out of there! Fast!"

Abra used the arm bathed in fire to send a punch forward, a thin vortex of fire expanding from his fist heading towards Raijin's stationary position. Raijin, seeing the fire heading his way fired his blast of electricity as his trainer commanded, and immediately jumped to his left, avoiding any of the fire that wasn't stopped by his blast.

As he steadied himself, neither himself or his trainer were fast enough to react to the blue energy surrounding Raijin. Luckily for them, Izuku was fast enough to give Raijin advice. "Raijin, cover your head! Try to protect as much of it as you can!"

As his electric type pokemon was picked up by the psychic power and tossed around the field, he watched the abra, looking for any apparent weaknesses.

He grinned as he saw the slightly strained face on the abra. Using his psychic energy was tiring out the little pokemon fast, he just needed Raijin to stay awake long enough to fight back. He glanced back towards his teammate, watching him cover his head with an arm on each side of his head.

"Raijin! Use Thundershock! Then Quick Attack at him!"

Raijin yelled out in frustration, struggling to gather the necessary energy needed for the lightning attack and feeling the pain from the hits of the battle. As he let out another yell of effort, a weaker than usual line of electricity shot forward towards the abra, causing him to stop the electricity with his powers.

Noticing the weakened hold on him. He followed his trainer's command and quickly built the energy required for a Quick Attack. Surging the energy forward, he managed to break from the hold, and rush towards the abra.

The little psychic type widened his eyes but stood firm in his place unmoving. Right before Raijin slammed into him, he teleported away. Just as he did, Raijin was struck in the back by his previous attack. He fell to his knees from his exhaustion and pain, but started to push himself up.

Izuku smiled softly as he saw his partner getting back up, but his joy turned into fear when he saw Abra appear right behind him.

"Raiji-" Before he could finish his warning Raijin was met with a Fire Punch to his face, knocking him to the floor. He waited a couple seconds before rushing forward, Full Cowling enhancing his speed.

He appeared at Raijin's side in moments, picking up his partner and looking over him for injuries. Taking note of the scrapes and bruises he had from his time being ragdolled; he sighed when he noticed the area of impact from Fire Punch was only marred with red skin and no burns.

He quickly returned Raijin to his ball for the moment, before turning to Abra. He could notice the very light shaking from the pokemon, chalking it up to exhaustion.

"You did good, Abra. Next time, we'll beat you." He met Abra's gaze and tossed him a berry from his pack. Ignoring Vulpix's whine from losing a berry, he waved as Abra caught the berry and disappeared with a teleport.

He couldn't help but let the small smile grace his lips. This new world was refreshing.

He couldn't help but laugh when Yōko ran up to him and began smacking him with her paws. Blocking her punches with his arms, he couldn't help his laughter bubbling up from the little game they were playing.

"Hey! Stop it!" Vulpix played along having a bit of fun until she was panting slightly from jumping around and trying to land her hits on her trainer.

"Alright." He released a breath before continuing. "Let's get the supplies ready to treat Raijin. I doubt he would like the fact we waited so long to help him." Vulpix snickered at the thought of Raijin's annoyance, but nonetheless started to help her trainer prepare.

Abra teleported back to Saffron. He floated clumsily across the floor as he made his way to his bed. Eating the berry as I went over today's events was relaxing in a way.

He could've used less energy tossing the little electric type around. He could've done a lot better in general. He let him get away with too many actions unpunished. He just sighed and shook his head. He 's supposed to be better.

A flash of light appeared in his vision before in its place stood his Mother and her trainer. He nodded in their direction to greet them, as they both nodded back.

"You were out again Abra. Did you come across a trainer that has acquired your interest? Or were you simply looking to battle again?" His mother's trainer, Sabrina, cut straight to the point.

"Abra." He responded. He knew he didn't have to speak out loud. He could simply flare his thoughts with psychic energy and Sabrina would pick them up. But he was tired of using psychic energy today.

" I see. So you were testing him." She received a nod from the little pokemon. "Did you win?"

The psychic type nodded his head in response.

The alakazam by Sabrina's side smiled at her young's success, and sent an approving smile in his direction. She could sense his pride and joy coming from him. Sabrina smiled at the little interaction between mother and child. She let it continue for a bit longer before interrupting.

"You did well today. Now rest, it is clear to most that you're exhausted. Rest for now. We'll train tomorrow, be ready."

The little psychic pokemon nodded and allowed his body to relax, as he welcomed the darkness in his vision. Looks like another 18 hours was going to be wasted.

And that's the chapter. How'dya like that little twist. The abra is the kid of the Alakazam on Sabrina's team. And there was Izuku's first loss. He seems to be taking it well too. Wonder how Raijin will take it.

You know the rest too. Please leave any reviews and support the story if you enjoy it. You should be getting a chapter tomorrow or the day after the next due to some free time I have.

Have a great day and goodbye.
