Story Start!

"This..."

Meidri was kind of bored at the moment. It was her first time going a long distance in a horse drawn carraige, and what was more was the fact that they were taking a path that didn't go through any forests or mountains, so the views were rather normal. They had passed a nearby city without going through it to see the sights there as well, so it was a lot of sitting down and just taking in the air.

It was kind of boring.

"Boring?" Naruto asked her.

"NO! I'm not bored at all, I'm having fun!" Meidri was bored, but she didn't want Naruto to think for a second that she was bored of his company or bored around him. She had just spoken without trying to speak, and her words came out naturally. They hadn't had a conversation in a few hours, since Naruto was focused on where the horses were pulling them.

She expected more conversation.

"Yeah, these long trips can be so boring... I hate escort jobs because of it, but the money pays well. It helps that I can use escort jobs for tax deductable expenses." Naruto laughed to himself, since he had more than one reason why he took a good number of time consuming escort missions. Meidri tilted her head in confusion.

"... These missions are tax deductable?"

"Not the mission itself... but say I have to stay at an Inn, I can write that off as an expense. This horse drawn carraige rental, writeable expense... and there are a few more expenses that can be technically written off... food and water for the trip for example... and another thing." Naruto didn't mention that other thing in front of Meidri. He knew her feelings on the matter, and he didn't want to make the bird girl angry when they were still a day away from where they were going.

Meidri nodded.

"... I bet Stunk would try and write off his brothel visits if he could." Meidri just sighed and shrugged her shoulders.

"You can."

"He can!?" Meidri was stunned.

"Well, for adventurers with high libidos who see active combat, a distracted mind can be lethal. So there are a lot of adventurers that will visit a Succu-girl joint to clear there minds. Of course, species with low libidos can't write it off, and it can't be written off as a deduction on missions that take less than 24 hours." Naruto always made sure to visit a Succu-girl joint before he had any long term mission that lasted more than a few days. Usually he would visit Elma or Piltia, since they could really handle him going all out. They could wring out semen like very few others, and they were understanding during the times when he wasn't trying to bring them as much pleasure.

Naruto laughed awkwardly at his own thoughts, while Meidri put some serious consideration into her past thoughts.

'... So... does that mean it is healthy for adventurers to go to... those stores before missions?' Meidri looked towards Naruto, because she hadn't considered that before. She knew that Naruto had gone to a succu-girl store before. She knew, because she knew he accepted a request from one of the stores to sleep with a girl while testing an antidote. She wasn't dumb, but she was very thankful that Naruto avoided talking about the subject when he was around her, and didn't harrass her like others did.

Naruto was a bit of a pervert, but he was very tame in how he mostly kept his perversions to himself and wasn't nearly as loud. She found that much more respectful than somebody like Stunk or Zel, who were pretty... forward with their perverted side.

"Do you visit those stores... before long missions and trips?" Meidri looked at Naruto, and he glanced towards her to make eye contact with her.

They stared into each other's eyes for a moment.

Naruto seemed content with something.

"Sometimes, though I always do when I'm escorting a female client... I've got bad luck with my female clients trying to sleep with me, and a lot of them are very pretty. It helps me stay calm and focused." Naruto didn't mention that sometimes he ended up sleeping with those female clients anyway, because sometimes he just didn't care enough to say no. Considering he did Deli, and though she wasn't a client, and Star Field... and he did it with Chitty at her home after they gambled together.

Meidri nodded her head with red cheeks, since she didn't know how to respond when given the truth. She knew, but now she had confirmation since she asked. She knew he kept notes as well, Ivy had told her about Naruto's notebook.

Time to ask.

"... and... you keep... notes?"

"Well... I would rather not talk about that." Naruto laughed to himself, since he figured that even if Meidri was the one to ask, there was no way that she would like any answer that she would get from him.

"Can I... take a look at it?"

"I mean... if you want... I keep it in my bag." Naruto gestured to his bag, and she crawled into the carraige and grabbed it, before she moved so that she was sitting next to Naruto again. She opened his notebook and started to look at the entries. He even had the first page as a table of contents for the types he had slept with.

Meidri... was a little surprised.

Lilith, Ogre, Orc, Elf, Cyclops, Halfling, Birdmaid (Penguin), Birdmaid (Harpy/Owl), Centaur, Walrus Hybrid, Fairy, Mandrake, Reptile Hybrid (Poisonous), and Mimic. She had expected more, but her eyes focused in on the two different types of Birdmaid. She knew one of those girls was Deli, that girl that would sometimes stop by the inn to see if Naruto was there, but she didn't know who the other one was.

'So... he hasn't slept with a normal Birdmaid girl like me.' Meidri didn't read even a single entry that wasn't related to birdmaids, until she blinked and realized that there was something strange written in the pages. "... Mandrake?" Meidri was sure that she knew somebody who was from that species.

She blinked.

Naruto took his notebook from her and tossed it back towards his bag, and she stared at him for a moment when she realized exactly who she was thinking of. Their local green skinned mandrake woman who owned the inn and rank the kitchens by herself. Naruto didn't look at her for awhile as she stared at him.

"That space is blank... but... yeah... it is what you're thinking. Ivy has been coming onto me lately." Naruto wasn't retarded, though it helped that Ivy was being VERY clear with her intentions, so he was seriously considering taking her for a ride at some point. Meidri stared at him for a moment, before she sighed in mild annoyance.

"... Fine, I've got to accept the fact that you have a strong libido." Meidri liked and treated Crim well, and he had a pretty strong libido as well. She knew he had taken to going to group trips to the brothels with the reviewers. "... what is even so good about sex?" Meidri sighed in annoyance.

"Different answers for different people. Some people love the pleasure, other people enjoy pain... and there are those that just like holding another person... they like the feeling of companionship, and the memories of the moment." Naruto didn't realize she was asking a retorical question under her breath, and he answered it somewhat seriously. Meidri didn't comment as she stared at him again, since she hadn't realized that she even asked that.

She had meant to think it.

'... I've never really heard him talk about sex before now...' Meidri had always appreciated that Naruto didn't talk about it around her, but since SHE asked, she was hearing his thoughts for the first time. She had to admit that she was a bit curious now, not about sex, but about Naruto's own personal feelings and thoughts. "... and you?" Meidri asked Naruto for his opinion.

Naruto hummed in thought, before he grinned.

"... Hmmm... hm?" Naruto was grinning as he tried to put it into words.

"Naruto?" Meidri asked when Naruto extended his hand towards the sun.

He made a grabbing motion, before he opened his hand and looked at his palm. He grinned wider as if he had an answer.

"I love how it brings me close to other species, and how many friends I have made because of it. Some of my best friends in this world, I only met because we had sex. Sometimes it is great, and sometimes I hate the sex... but I love the new experiences as well." Naruto had his answer for that after thinking it through. "... and I want to share those experiences with others, and help them experience new things... I want to make... I don't know if my book will change the world, but I want to pass my knowledge down to everyone who will listen." Naruto glanced back towards his notebook.

Meidri didn't get it.

"... Is sex really that great though?"

"I mean, until you have sex... no answer I give you will be your answer. You're the only one who can answer that... some people love sex, and some people actually hate it... though that it more rare." Naruto couldn't answer any further than that.

'... He's so experienced, and even he can't tell me... of course he can't tell me an answer, it is because he is so experienced... and the girls he has been with have experience too.' Meidri rubbed her arm in discomfort, because she was coming to reality. She looked towards her bag, and saw that her dress for the party was peeking out. She slapped her cheeks for her line of thought, before she smiled at Naruto. "... so what was your old world like!?" Meidri changed the subject.

"It sucked."

"Huh?!"

"I hated my old world... if you looked different, or acted different half of the people in the world hated you, and the other half blindly supported you. The only intelligent species were humans, but we were more divided than the species of this world could ever be... I'm Asian, but I'm hated because I look Caucasian... white... people in my world capitalized on our differences to divide us, make money to line their pockets-" Meidri was shocked when she saw how tightly Naruto's hands held the reigns of the horses, and for the first time she saw a genuine anger in his eyes.

'... He really hated his world...' Meidri couldn't help but agree he was telling the truth.

"The government only cared about making the rich richer, and using that money to line their pockets... they pretended to care about the average person. They made lies and false promises to help, but every word they spoke only made the average person hate each other... and I wanted to destroy it all."

"Destroy!?"

"I wanted to conquer my home nation, I wanted to become it's only ruler... somebody who the big money couldn't corrupt. I would, by my own hand, end the division between people... I would create a peaceful world. I would take the sun in my hands, and be the light that showed people just how corrupt their world was... and fix it." Naruto reaching for the sun made sense now to Meidri.

"... only humans..." Meidri couldn't imagine a world like that.

"People want to be different, so when you're surrounded by people like you... you have to make yourself feel different and better. It's what I like about this world so much... people don't have to change themselves... because they are always surrounded by people different than them." Naruto looked at a town to the east that was visible. "... I bet that town has at least 100 different species in it... all of them getting along and living side by side. I am MUCH happier in this world."

"You much have been happy to leave your world." Meidri commented with a smile.

"... At first, it was a little jarring... but the longer I stayed in this world, the more I came to hate the world I came from. I love this world... this is the world I was meant to be in. I don't feel like I was pulled away from home anymore. I feel like I was called to where I was meant to be." Naruto breathed in deeply, before he exhaled and just continued to grin a bright smile that could blind people. Meidri smiled at him, and sat quietly as she looked at the road ahead of them.

...

"So what about you?"

"I lived a pretty normal life. I grew up with my parents, and then I flew the coup to make it on my own. I don't really have any goals, or dreams, or any real hard opinions on anything. My life is kind of... plain."

"Plain is good, plain means you aren't suffering as much... it means your parents were happy and loving. I would love for my children one day to live a nice, plain life where they can just find something they feel passionate about." Naruto didn't see a problem with a plain life either.

There was silence.

They had a few hours of silence.

"... So... Guess what I just looked at."

"... Meidri... you have way better eyesight than I do, this game kind of gives you a huge advantage." Naruto knew birds like Meidri could see way farther away than he could. Meidri hummed in thought and looked around for something closer. "AAaaaaaah... this is going to be fun. You stay here... I'm going to be right back." Naruto stated as he stopped the horses and drew his sword, before he jumped out of the carraige.

"... Why did you draw your sword?"

"Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer to!" Naruto called out to Meidri as he went behind some boulders that were next to the path they were taking.

"Aaaaaaaaaarh!?"

Naruto came out from behind the boulder with blood on his sword, and blood splattered against his legs. Meidri looked at the blood as Naruto swung his sword hard enough to fling the blood onto the ground. He sheathed his sword and didn't make a comment on what happened. Naruto cleared his throat, took his seat, before he had the horses begin moving again. Meidri turned her head to look towards the boulders, but Naruto put his hand in front of her eyes.

"Trust me... it was not pretty what I did to the bandits who were about to try and rob us." Naruto would rather her eyes not bare witness to what he did.

"Dead?"

"Very much so."

Meidri did not look behind them.

She would not have liked what she would have seen.
