A/N: Sorry if the story seems rushed but I really wanted to get to the Shimon Arc. There's some differences from canon, mainly that Tsuna hasn't been officially announced as heir yet and has no clue Enma is mafia. And Daemon already pulled the "Iemitsu" killed your families card.

As always, hope you all enjoy and feel free to leave a review!

Tsuna Gains a "Sane" Friend

"This morning a 6.4 earthquake rocked the small community of Cozzato Island, destroying several integral facilities including housing infrastructure, hospitals and schools. Clean-up has already begun with residents being rehomed until further notice. More on the story as it develops." A radio in the kitchen announced before going back to the music Nana had been listening to.

"Gyahaha! The great Lambo-sama claims all the pancakes!" Lambo exclaims, stealing some from I-Pin's nearby plate.

"No! Lambo share!" I-Pin protests as the two children tugged Lambo's plate back and forth.

And I didn't get any at all. Tsuna thought, his share of food already stolen by a remorseless Reborn.

Shizuka observed the scene quietly. After their trip to the past, her flames were still drained from their constant use in the past. She could manipulate objects, sure, but she didn't have enough energy to make herself solid for long periods of time. Much to her dismay.

"I can ask Meifeng-sensei if the family chef can make you something." Shizuka offers.

Tsuna took out a cellphone and opened a texting app.

They have a chef?! What else have I been missing?! Tsuna wrote.

"They're pretty well off, their home is what I think a traditional home in Kyoto would look like." Shizuka says. "That might also be part of the reason why Kyoya can bite students to death, the Hibari are likely paying for the hospital bills and therapy." She added.

Tsuna could only sigh. Thanks Shizuka. Will she be able to see you?

Shizuka laughed. "Her and Kyoya's hearing is insanely good. I can manage this much at least. And she can't exactly see anyways."

Tsuna looked at her in confusion. "Meifeng-sensei is blind. She couldn't see anything if she tried." Shizuka explains.

That made the fact that the woman could chase off Mukuro's minions and make the occasional assassin disappear even more terrifying.

The next day, there was a school assembly announcing that Namimori Middle would be taking in students affected by a recent earthquake. There was a quiet murmur among the students, becoming silent as Hibari took out a tonfa in warning.

"Hopefully they aren't as eccentric as Gokudera." Takeshi says jokingly. He narrowly avoided being punched in the head by the teen.

"Guys, please don't attract Hibari-senpai's attention." Tsuna pleaded.

There were seven students, all eye catching in their own way.

There was a tall girl with long black hair and rather noticeable bust. Only her fierce glare kept any of the male students from openly gawking.

The other girl had an eccentric sense of fashion, her head almost fully shaved with only a small patch pink remaining. Her flashy sunglasses made it impossible to see her eyes.

The other four teens were male with a student with red hair and red eyes standing out the most to Tsuna. Covered in gauze and band aids and a visibly shy demeanor, he found himself drawn to the new student.

Just because the students were all transferred from the same school didn't mean that they were all friends. Maybe Tsuna could be the kind of person that he wished would be his friend in his early days of being Dame-Tsuna.

As focused as Tsuna was on his thoughts, Shizuka looked at one of the teens with narrowed eyes. There was something... off about the one in the glasses and white fedora. He seemed to notice her gaze and looked in her direction, thankfully unable to see her.

Why are his flames being suppressed by foreign flames? She wondered. The flames being suppressed were ones that she was unfamiliar with, having more of an earth-like feel to them. The indigo flames though... she had a bad feeling about them.

The red head and the strange girl were both in Tsuna's class, their personalities a stark contrast.

Shitt-P had an odd name and even odder way of speaking. Gokudera was torn between snapping at her for getting into his personal space, multiple times, and interrogating her on what alien planet she obviously came from. She clearly spoke her mind, even if it made her classmates visibly uncomfortable.

Enma was quiet, shy, and very clumsy. He'd gotten the name Loser-Enma in less than an hour. He sat behind Tsuna, giving him a shy smile. "Thanks for not laughing at me."

Tsuna sighed. "Trust me, I was the school punching bag before you got here. It isn't as bad as it used to be though. I'm Sawada Tsunayoshi."

"Enma Cozart."

Tsuna ignored the high-pitched squeal that just came from his sister. "You guys are so cute!" She exclaims.

Maybe her not being visible is a blessing in disguise. Tsunayoshi thought as she mentioned... shipping? He had a feeling he was really going to regret introducing his sister to Haru.

With Gokudera and Takeshi around, most of the physical bullying Tsuna endured no longer happened in fear of retaliation. Now the bullies swarmed around Enma like a pack of starving sharks smelling blood.

Unfortunately, whatever unseen forces had been defending Tsuna as a child had switched to the new student. One of the more well-known bullies had run out of the lunchroom screaming for water.

Shizuka watched with a smirk, a packet of spices Fon sent from China being hidden. Enma just watched in confusion as the bully cursed at him before trying to steal a nearby carton of milk, only to trip on thin air.

"Now this is the sort of justice that I personally enjoy." Shizuka says with a devious grin. Tsuna just sweat dropped. Compared to what she started out doing, this was tame in comparison.

"Is this school... haunted?" Enma asks shakily.

"There are some strange things that happen around here but it's just my sister. She really doesn't like bullies." Tsuna explained.

Enma looked around, trying to spot Tsuna's sibling. Tsuna laughed. "You'll probably see her tomorrow, Shizuka is pretty good at hiding. Despite us being twins she takes after dad and is very head strong."

Enma was quiet, looking down at the ground. "Is something wrong Enma-kun?" Tsuna asks.

"Sorry, just remembered my own little sister." Enma says softly.

"Oh, does he mean that little girl that's been hovering around him?" Shizuka asks curiously.

Tsuna squinted at Enma and could see... something hovering around him. Shizuka visibly jolted, likely being hit? hugged? by the ghost. "She's not violent so it should be fine Tsu-nii, I'll keep an eye on her."

Mami was a small, very energetic spirit that was ecstatic that she wasn't the only spirit around. Much to Shizuka's amusement, it seemed she had a small bit of control over gravity. Nothing too impressive but enough to make someone lose their footing.

Shizuka sweat dropped and saw the girl occasionally prank her older brother. Never enough for him to fall, just enough to stumble forward awkwardly. "Is he naturally clumsy or is it just you?" She asks in amusement.

Mami shrugged. Despite being a ghost hadn't spoken yet, baffling Shizuka. Whenever the teen would ask about it the younger ghost just shook, looking even more pale than usual. Something still scared her, even in death.

She thought about Reborn and his ability to cause pain, even if she wasn't solid. Was it possible that something else was lurking around that had flames just as powerful?

Mami looked around before getting close to Shizuka. "He gives my brother nightmares. Help him." She whispers.

Bonus: Talking Down a Carnivore

Several members of the Disciplinary Commitee laid in a heap at the door of Kyoya's office, a window leading outside broken from the inside. Anyone with a view of the school roof would have seen a face-off that looked torn straight out of a martial arts movie.

Kyoya's jacket blew dramatically in the wind, his eyes narrowed at the carnivore trying to invade his territory. Adelheid looked unfazed, a tessen in hand. "Your men are weak."

She blocked a tonfa, still composed despite being pushed back a few inches. Reborn watched the exchange dressed as a squirrel, balancing on the roof's safety fence and recording a video with a Leon phone. He sent it as an attachment with a message demanding Tsuna to break up the fight.

He assumed the teen had opened the message when the door to the roof had been forced open, distracting the teens momentarily. The wind on the rooftop had increased, this time working against Adelheid. "I don't need an advantage tanuki." Kyoya states.

Reborn took out the translator. "Stop causing trouble for my brother then." Shizuka states.

Adelheid looked around, trying to find the source of the voice. Tsunayoshi eventually made his way up the stairs, gasping for breath.

"Hibari-senpai, shouldn't we be welcoming the new students instead of fighting them?" He asks.

"She's invading my territory." Hibari states.

"Want me to get Enma-chan?" Shizuka's voice asks.

Adelheid glared. "He has nothing to do with this."

That piercing glare states otherwise. Tsunayoshi thought, thankful that Shizuka was trying to deescalate a fight for once.

"Don't cause trouble then." Shizuka says stubbornly.

"Where is that voice coming from?" Adelheid asks irritably, only receiving a giggle in return.

"Shizuka, stop." Tsuna says, being the only one to see her pout.

"I'm already intervening to stop those bullies from messing with Enma-chan, I don't mind putting another one in their place."

Hibari narrowed his eyes. "Names and classes: now."

Tsuna was certain that if Hibari could see her smirking that he would've swung at her by now. "Once you put away your weapons and aren't trying to kill each other with your eyes."

There was a heavy silence before Hibari nodded, putting away his tonfa. Tsuna's jaw dropped as Hibari descended the stairs without further protest. He could see the giddy grin on Shizuka's face as she achieved something no one in the history of Namimori ever could: interrupted Hibari's fight and lived.

Reborn threw the translator at Tsuna's head before jumping off the fence and using Leon as a glider.

With Adelheid's attention now on him, Tsuna let out a startled squeak. She seemed to observe him for a moment, eyes narrowed. "You do anything to hurt Enma, that prefect won't be able to protect you." She states.

"That is literally the furthest thing from my mind! I need to check on my sister, bye!" Tsuna ran down the stairs, smoke comedically trailing after him.

"So that's the heir of Vongola. Tch." Adelheid says. While there were differences from the man that slaughtered their family, the resemblance was uncanny. Vongola would regret leaving their heir unprotected.
