Paw Prints of the Heart
Jaune was currently in his kitchen, cooking himself and the four catgirls that lived with him breakfast. He decided to go with something simple and quick, so he was making several short stacks of pancakes for them all. And after all the time helping Ren cook them for Nora over the years, he was a pro. Which was for the best since Jaune was in no way focused as much as he probably should be while cooking.
The shame and disappointment he was feeling for himself was all encompassing. Everything that had happened with Weiss, Blake and even Yang, for as brief as it was, felt like an anchor tied to his chest. The memories kept playing through his mind on repeat: the numerous, passion filled kisses with Blake, the fewer tender but loving kisses with Weiss and the pair of near completely bare and breathtaking bodies that ground against him as time went on. Not to mention the completely naked body of Yang, laying on top of him and grinding into him as she gave him a series of searing kisses. They may have been the fewest in number among all three of the catgirls but they were no less filled with passion and love.
The worst part was that those memories still made his heart race and had a lasting effect on a specific part of his body. It just made him hate himself all the more. He was so close to taking that plunge, to step over the line he knew they could never come back from. With all three on them holding onto him, or laying on top of in Yang's case, plus with all the physical affection they were showering him with, his will nearly crumbled.
The only reason he didn't was because Ruby had walked into the room at that moment, saying that she was hungry and wondering if they could have breakfast. She didn't even question their variety levels of nudity, either because she didn't care or was more focused on getting something to eat. Her older sister sighed before telling her soon. That was when she gave him one last smile and kiss before whispering she needed a shower. She then got off him and made her way to the bathroom, not even bothering to pick up her clothes or covering herself in the slightest. But she did make sure to add an extra sway to her hips.
He just groaned to himself before he felt Blake gently kiss his left cheek and Weiss do the same to his right. They smiled at him, Weiss' being a bit more reserved, then they went about putting their night wear back on. He did the same, finding the shirt the two had helped him removed before throwing it back on and going to the kitchen. He didn't look back at either Blake or Weiss. Not even Ruby as he walked past her. He just looked down as he mentally cursed himself for what he had done.
Jaune pulled himself from his self-deprecating thoughts just long enough to fill another plate with a small stack of pancakes, placing a pot lid over them to keep them warm, before he reached for the rest of the batter he made. As he was reaching for it, he finally picked up on the fact that someone was watching him. He looked over his shoulder to see a silver eye peaking around the doorway to the kitchen, her red tipped black cat ear, twitching excitedly. Despite his bad mood, he smiled at her. "Can I help you with something, Ruby?"
Her eye widened and her cat ear stuck up straight. She then relaxed a second later and walked around the corner. She gave him a sheepish smile, "Sorry, Ma- Jaune." she quickly corrected herself. "What you were cooking smelt interesting and I was curious."
The 'curiosity killed the cat' cliché came to his mind quicker than he would admit but he just shook his head before answering, "You're fine, Ruby. I was just wondering why you were there." He turned back to the stovetop. "I'm nearly done. Just need to make the last few and we can all eat." He just picked up the bowl with the batter when he felt two arms wrap around his stomach and what was most likely a head, settle against his back. "Ruby?" he questioned.
"Sorry." She told him before she tightened her hold on him, just a bit tighter. "Everyone else got to have some time with you… I'm just feeling a little jealous…"
Those words made his veins fill with ice but his heart rate skyrocketed at the same time. He quickly pulled himself from the down spiral his mind was about to go down. "Ruby…" he started before he cleared his throat, "Do you… Know what we were doing?" he asked nervously.
She shrugged slightly, "Mostly. Blake and Weiss told me you guys were spending time together and kissing… A lot. Yang isn't done cleaning up so I haven't talked to her but I could guess what she was trying to do." She giggled slightly, "She's not exactly shy when it comes to what she wants."
That was a shock to him. Because she was a bit younger than the others, a part of him just assume that she didn't know about sex and the like. But apparently that wasn't the case. On top of that, her previous statement of being jealous had a different meaning now. One that gave him so many violently conflicting emotions all at once. "And… And you said you were jealous?" he hesitantly asked, not sure if he wanted to know her answer.
He felt her nod into his back, "A little…" He could feel her fingers fidgeting as she spoke in a more nervous tone. "I know you love me just as much as the others but… You kiss them more than you do me. And… I know I'm a bit younger than them, not by very much, but you seem more open to doing… Things with them. Why not me?"
Jaune just stood there for about a minute or so, just trying to process everything he just heard. His breathing became a bit choppy and he could feel himself start to shake. He carefully placed the bowl of batter back on the counter before he placed his hands on it to support himself as he leant forward. "Why is this happening?" he asked out loud.
He felt Ruby remove her head from his back, "Jaune?" she asked.
"Why is this happening?" He asked again. "Why has my entire world been flipped on its head? Everything was so simple before."
He felt Ruby give him a quick squeeze, "What's wrong? You can tell me."
He was silent for the longest time but eventually, everything he had been feeling just started to pour from his lips. "Just a few days ago, I was just an average college student with a part time job. School work and actual work kept me very busy but I still had enough time to hang out with Ren and Nora often. And yeah, I haven't tried dating since… Pyrrha… But I was happy, content. And I had the four most amazing cats to keep me company when it got terrible."
He looked down more and his hands started to grip the countertop harder, "But now, by some reason something miraculous has happened, something that no one understands, and those cats have become some of the most gorgeous women I have ever seen. And the kicker, they all love me. Most people would be overjoyed, but me? I have no idea what to do. Half of me wants to just give in and love them like no tomorrow. While the other half is shouting to stay strong and not take advantage of them. No matter what I do, I end up hating myself. I just… I have no idea what I should do. When did my life become so complicated?"
He just stood there, staring down at the ground after everything he had just said. All the stress he had been feeling over the past couple of days and bottled up, finally vented. A sense of relief came to him but along with a wave of sadness. He could feel the tears gathering in the corners of his eyes even now.
He felt Ruby's arms let him go and heard her take a few steps backwards from him. But even with that, he couldn't bring himself to look over to her. "So… W-we're the problem…" she stuttered out in a broken tone.
As soon as she heard that, his head snapped up to look forward and it felt like someone just clenched down on his heart. He quickly turned around to see her ears had drooped, almost pinning themselves on her head. She was just staring at him with the saddest look he had ever seen her have, not for herself but for him. Her silver eyes were swimming with unshed tears and they finally fell when she asked, "W-would you have w-wanted us to stay as c-cats?"
The logical answer was 'yes'. If they would've stayed cats, none of this would've happened, he would've just went along in his simplistic life, none the wiser to what could've been. Most pragmatic people would agree with that.
But in this moment, seeing her hurt so badly by what he had said and thinking that all of it was her and her sisters' fault, he didn't think logically. He just instinctually told her the truth. The truth that had been buried under all the over thinking and heartbreak he had been going through. The answer that had settled itself in his heart and he just never looked deep enough to find. The word sprang from his lips before he even thought it through. "No."
She just gave him a shocked look as more tears fell from her eyes, "But… But you just said-"
Before she even finished that sentence, his arms wrapped around her and pulled her close to him, "No." he reiterated, softer this time. "No."
That was all the reassurance she needed to bury her face into his shirt and cry quietly into him. He gently started to rub her back as a few of the tears that were gathering in his own eyes finally fell as well. The two of them stood there for a bit before Ruby spoke up again, "I'm sorry you've been feeling so bad…"
He squeezed her a bit, "I know. But that's part of being human, sadly. We get stressed out when things don't go the way we want things to or if something just changes out of nowhere." He gently rubbed her back before continuing, "This has all been a big change for me and I didn't handle it well but I would never regret having you four in my life. Understand?"
She nodded slightly, "Okay… What do we do now?" She pulled away from him enough to look into his eyes. "Do you want us to stop kissing you and… Other things?" she blushed slightly at that.
That made him smile, she may know what sex was but it didn't look like she was unabashed by it like the others were. "Until I get a chance to really think this through and figure out how I feel about you all… And what we should do moving forward… I think that would be for the best."
She nodded, "Okay." She then hugged him again, "We still love you though."
That made him chuckle, "I know, Ruby." He gently started to rub her head and she began to purr. "I know."
While those two were hugging, a certain blonde haired catgirl had heard and seen everything that had just happened. Before either noticed her, she ducked back around the corner and placed her back against the wall as she looked down sadly.
She had finished her shower not long ago and since she 'forgot' to bring any clothes with her, she elected to just wrap herself in a towel. Sure, the towel was on the smaller side, covering just a bit too high up her thighs but hiding anything that people considered 'private' from view and low enough to cover only about half of her breasts, but she was still covered. Besides, it would get a great reaction from her Master.
At least that's what she originally had planned but after hearing all that, she felt ashamed of what she put him through. She knew he had been struggling with everything. She had found out the first time she tried to show him just how much she loved him and he started to break down. She even told him she wouldn't push any further. But when he saw him with Blake and Weiss, she just jumped to the conclusion that he was starting to open up to them more.
"Guess I was wrong." She said to herself. She then peeked back around to see that they were now standing beside the stove again. It looked like Jaune was showing Ruby how to cook the pancakes and from the look of it, Ruby was enthralled by the entire situation. That made Yang smile.
She ducked back behind the corner, "While they're busy, I think I should tell Blake and Weiss about this. We can all be on the same page going forward." She was about to walk down the hallway to the living room before she remembered how she was dressed. She smiled to herself, "Maybe I should get some clothes on first." She giggled before turning around to go to the bedroom that had her clothes.
Despite how rough the day started, Jaune was shocked to find that the rest of the morning went much smoother. He had shown Ruby how he went about cooking pancakes and the catgirl was amazed by the entire process. He even let her flip them with a little assistance. They weren't perfect but the look of pride on her face was worth it.
Once they were all done, he placed the plates onto the table and they all sat down to eat. Each girl using a different amount of syrup but all enjoying the new food. Since they loved meat so much, he didn't think they would love it as much as they did. When they were done, Blake took it upon herself to do the dishes again as the others dragged him to the living room. They all took their seats before they handed Jaune the remote to the tv. He shrugged to himself before looking for something to put on but eventually put on one of his favorite movies from the popular superhero franchise and the one that started it all.
He waited for Blake to come back before he started it and it only took a few minutes for all of them to be mesmerized by the movie. Seeing them cheer, gasp and yell at the different scenes made him smile to himself, 'Note to self, do not take them to a movie theater until I teach them movie etiquette.' When it was over, they began clapping. From Weiss and Blake's polite to Yang and Ruby's excited ones. Immediately afterwards Ruby turned to him and ask if they could watch the next one. He looked over to the clock to see that he still had a couple of hours before he had to leave for work, so with a shrug he stared the next one. Much to their excitement.
Towards the end of the movie, he excused himself to take care of a few things before he needed to head out. The first was to make something for them all to have for lunch while he was gone. He looked into the fridge and saw he was running low on a few things. 'Gonna have to go shopping after work… I'm going to be tired but it needs to be done.' He saw several vegetables in the crisper and elected to make a light salad since they all had a very filling breakfast. He'd just make sure to get something a bit heavier for dinner.
He took the couple heads of lettuce and broke them apart before adding in some diced onions and tomatoes. He added some sliced cucumbers and olives to round it out before covering it in a reasonable amount of Italian dressing to finish it. He then placed it back into the fridge to keep it fresh until they were hungry.
He then went into the bathroom for a quick shower and to do the rest of his daily hygiene before going to his room to dress in his uniform. Black dress pants with a white button up dress shirt and black tie. A red vest over top of that and black dress shoes finished the look. He took one last look to make sure his hair was straight before he went back into the living room.
Luckily the girls were still enamored by the movie so he was able to get the sheet of paper that had his number written down on it and quickly added both Ren's and Nora's to it. With that done, he paused the movie, much to their chagrin, "Hey!" Ruby said in annoyance. "Jaune, they were about to get to the final battle! Why'd you stop it!?"
He grinned at her before he started to speak, "This is important Ruby so I needed all of your undivided attention." That got her to pout but listened, nonetheless. "I'm going to work and will be gone for the rest of the day. I left a salad in the fridge for you all if you get hungry and I'll bring something home for dinner. I also won't be able to check my phone so if anything goes wrong, you can call Ren or Nora. Their numbers are written down by mine on the paper on my desk. Anything you wanna ask me before I go?"
They all looked at each other before Ruby shot her hand up into the air. He smiled, "Yes, Ruby?"
"Can we keep watching these movies?" she asked as she pointed to the screen.
He chuckled, "Sure. They should be in order so just wait through the credits and the next will play." She just nodded at him before he resumed the film for them. He went over to his coatrack and quickly threw his jacket on. He gave them all just one last look before going to the door. He opened it and looked over his shoulder one last time, "See you all later."
As he was stepping through, he heard four different voices telling him goodbye in return before it closed behind him. He smiled as he locked the door and made his way out of his apartment building. Once outside, he was able to easily flag down a taxi and it started to drive him further into Vale.
While he waited, he pulled out his phone to quickly send Ren and Nora a text. He just wanted to give them a heads up about giving the girls their numbers and that there may be a chance they will call them sometime throughout the day. He got responses back almost instantly with neither of them having a problem with that. Ren even offered to stop over a bit later to check on them if he wanted. That just made Jaune smile, 'I still have some of the best people as friends.'
A few minutes later, the taxi pulled up in front of the restaurant and he paid him with a tip. He stepped out and went in, quickly making his way into the back to put his jacket in his locker and get ready to start his day. As he was doing that, he was shocked to hear someone behind him ,"Jaune! Good I caught you before you started."
He turned to see Mr. Adel walking towards him. He had the same brown hair and eyes as his daughter and similar fashion sense, looking professional but not overdressed. He was nervous for a second before he saw that his boss had a smile on his face. He relaxed slightly as he was fixing his tie, "Hi, Mr. Adel. Did you need something from me?"
"No, no. Nothing like that." He said with a shake of his head. "I originally had you working until eight tonight but I just wanted to let you know that won't be necessary. You can leave at six."
That made Jaune raise an eyebrow. Six to eight was the busiest time of the night, it seemed odd that he would just let one of his employees go home during then. "Did I do something wrong, sir?" he questioned, expecting the worst.
Mr. Adel's eyes widened in shock, "What? Absolutely not. Jaune, you are one of my better employees." He chuckled, "You'd have to do something pretty terrible for me to cut your hours. No, Coco told me you have one of you finals tomorrow, that true?"
Jaune nodded, "Yeah, my last one."
"Well why didn't you say so?" His boss questioned. "The last thing you need is to work all night and still have to study for it. That's why I'm doing this. Work a lighter shift and go home to unwind for tomorrow. And if your worried about your pay, I can let you make up the other two hours sometime during the week if need be."
Jaune just smiled at that, "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for this, Mr. Adel."
He waved it off, "Think nothing of it. You're a good guy with a great work ethic, you've earned a break every once in a while. Besides, between you and me…" He looked around slightly before leaning in to whisper to him. "If Coco found out I overworked you before a test, I would never hear the end of it." The two shared a laugh over that before Mr. Adel gently patted Jaune's shoulder and left him to get to work.
The next few hours flew for him. Waiting tables wasn't the most exciting job but it kept him busy so it made the time feel like it was flying. And he seemed to luck out and he, and by extension the other waiters and waitresses, didn't really deal with any rude or entitled customers. He actually saw a few that knew him by name and was able to chat with them for a few minutes as he took their orders and served them. They also left him a very large tip but that was besides the point.
By the time he went on his break, it was halfway through his shift, much to his shock. He excused himself to the backroom where he grabbed a bottle of water and sat down, checking his phone. He had a few messages from Ren and one or two from Nora. They had indeed checked up on the girls and they were all fine, still going through the movie list and loving each one that came next. Nora then suggested that they should go shopping for Yang since she was the only one to not get any additional clothing yet. Ren made sure to tag along and make sure the two didn't get up to anything terribly mischievous. That made Jaune smile and thank his closest male friend.
"I need to get them something as a thank you. They've been helping out a lot over the last couple of days." He said to himself as he started to take another sip from his water.
"So you've taken to talking to yourself… Gotta say, that isn't the most attractive trait." Said a voice from behind him.
Having been thoroughly startled by that, Jane ended up spitting out his water. He then devolved into a coughing fit, trying to expel the little bit of liquid he inhaled. He just managed to get a few words out between all the coughing, "Damnit… Coco."
"Sorry, sorry. Didn't mean to scare you that badly." He then felt her firmly pat his back to try to help him out. "You alright?" she asked as he got control over his breathing again.
"Yeah." He said as he took a deep breath. "But I was perfectly fine until you scared me." He said as he turned to give her a slightly annoyed glare.
That's when he finally saw her. She was dressed as fashionable as she always was but was missing her beret and sunglasses. And a lot of her usual accessories that she normally had were also absent. She also just looked a bit on the tired side. Didn't take anything away as she gave him a familiar smirk. "Not my fault you're so jumpy." She then started to walk around to take a seat at his table, "I even said 'Hello' when I walked in, you just ignored me." She then slumped into the chair with a sigh.
"Rough day?" he asked her.
She nodded with her eyes closed, "Had two finals today."
He winced, "Ouch. That sounds horrible."
"You're telling me." She started to massage her eyelids gently. "Luckily I'm done now so I can sleep in tomorrow."
"I'm surprised you're here and not passed out at your place."
"I would be but my dad wanted to have dinner together to celebrate. My mom and brothers are coming too and I've missed them. So I'll down another cup of coffee and enjoy myself." She pulled her hand away and grinned at him, "I can sleep tomorrow."
Jaune returned her grin, "Well congrats on finishing and hopefully you have a good night."
"Oh, I will. An Adel family outing is never dull." That made the two laugh. "So, how have things been with you? Haven't seen you, Ren or Nora since final weeks started."
He shrugged, "Busy. Getting as much studying in as I can and hoping for the best. But I'll be done after tomorrow. And thanks for talking to your dad for me, I appreciate it."
She shrugged, "No big deal. He had no idea you had a test tomorrow otherwise he wouldn't have scheduled you. And if I didn't realize you were working tonight, you would've been shot tomorrow. I don't get why you didn't tell him in the first place."
"I forgot." He said lamely which got him a deadpanned expression from her. "I was so absorbed in studying that by the time I found out I was scheduled for tonight, it was too late for me to say anything." He started to rub the back of his head nervously. "I didn't want to put your dad in a bind and have to scramble to get someone to cover my shift."
That made her facepalm, "What am I going to do with you?"
"In my defense, I've had a lot going on over the last few days…" he added.
"Unless you finally started to see someone, I don't accept that excuse." She said as she pulled her hand away from her face. He opened his mouth to deny that but as soon as he did, the memories he had shared with the four new women in his life came to his mind. Both the wholesome ones and the more intimate variety. And before he could get a grip on his emotions, his cheeks started to flush a deep red. Coco saw all of this and her eyes widened before the mother of all smirks came to her lips, "Oh, I see. Well congrats on that and you have to tell me everything."
He tried to stutter some sort of response but he just ended up failing. He eventually just put his hand over his face and took a deep breath, "It's not like that, Coco."
"Those red cheeks say otherwise." She teased.
"It's not like that." He reiterated. "It just…" he sighed and pulled his hand from his face to look up to the ceiling, "It's so complicated, Coco."
He looked over to her when he felt her gently placed a hand on his shoulder. Gone was the teasing grin and now there was just a supportive and concerned look, "Hey, relax. I was just messing with you. No need to get all serious on me." She gently squeezed his shoulder. "But if you wanna talk about it, I am here for you. Will be just like old times."
He looked at her for a bit, going back and forth on whether he wanted to talk to her about this. He wasn't taking anything away from her, far from it. Coco loved to tease her friends but when it was serious, she would try to help you out to the best of her ability. He was mostly debating on how to explain all of this to her. And how he was supposed to get her to believe him. "I honestly don't know where to start." He settled on.
"The beginning is usually the best place." She gave him a small grin as she took her hand away. "Take your time."
He took a second to think and decided to leave out a few key details just to make this a bit easier to talk about and possibly not look at him like he went off the deep end. "Well… There have been these four women that I've been getting pretty close to over the last few months. It got to the point where I started to consider them some of my closer friends. They're great." He said with a small smile.
"Okay, I'm not exactly seeing the problem here."
He looked to the side slightly, "Things have changed lately. Like a lot. They've… Well I would say they've become more affectionate but that's not really the best way to describe it. It's more like their affection has a different meaning to it now. They all seem to have some sort of feelings for me and are all more than happy to show me."
"Now I see the problem." Coco said with an understanding nod. "Caught between four girls and you're trying to not start a cat fight between them all by handling it the wrong way."
He couldn't fight the grin that came to his face when she said that. 'She has no idea how accurate that is.' It didn't last too long before the grin fell and he became more serious. "Actually… All four are aware of how they all feel and they have no problem with that. They have somehow come to the conclusion that they don't need to worry about who, if any of them, I pick because they know I wouldn't abandon them and would still care for them…"
He couldn't stop his mind from finishing that statement, 'And are somehow okay if I wanted to be with all of them.' He shook his head to clear that troublesome thought.
Coco was staring at him in disbelief. Jaune was worried for a bit until she gave out a low but long whistle. "You hit the jackpot. How'd you get that lucky, Jaune?"
He huffed and fell more into his seat, "I don't feel lucky."
"I think I'm missing something here. What's the actual problem here?" She asked.
He was quiet for a long time before he bit the metaphorical bullet. "The problem is I don't know how I feel about any of them and I don't want to hurt them. And even though it's been nearly a year, I'm still not over Pyrrha." There it was. The truth that he had known all along and finally spoke up about it.
Coco was quiet for a while. She looked to be chewing on the inside of her cheek in thought. "I can't say I'm surprised about that. You two were each other's first relationship and you two fell hard for each other. And you were together for a solid two years. Two and a half if you count the long distance part. No wonder you still haven't moved on from it. You're still holding on to the chance she'll come back, aren't you?" she asked, her voice holding a tender tone that he had rarely heard from her.
He looked to the ground and shrugged, "I honestly don't know. If she came back and wanted us to be together again… I'm not sure what I would say."
"Jaune." she said evenly and he turned back to her. She had a stern look on her face. "I love you like another brother so I'm going to give you some tough love. You need to move on."
"But-"
"No buts." She said sternly. She didn't raise her voice but it was still level. "You can't live your life waiting for something that may never happen. All that is going to do is make you miserable. And even if miraculously she comes back and you do get back together, it won't be the same. You're always going to remember that break up and it will affect it going forward. And you won't be able to ignore it. And if you did, it wouldn't have been healthy for either of you. You need closure, one way or the other."
He just stared at her. That hurt on some level. And people had been telling him that for a while now. They had been doing so in a gentler way but it never really struck true. But the unwavering logic that Coco just hit him with did shake him slightly.
"And if you want my advice on your other problem, here it is. I understand you don't want to hurt anybody, Jaune. You're a good guy and I get it. But I'm guessing that you don't want to take the chance of getting hurt yourself. But if you never try, never put yourself on the line, you'll never have the chance to be happy. To be in love. And you deserve both of those things."
"You never do." He said before he could stop himself. His eyes widened and he slapped his hand over his treacherous mouth. The wave of shame he felt didn't help any of that either.
Surprisingly enough, she didn't seem angry. Her eyes widened momentarily, not expecting him to say that. But her face settled on one of acceptance. "You're right. I never take the chance. I'm about flings and one nights. And do you know why?" He just shook his head after a second. "Because I'm afraid. Not of being hurt but of whatever woman I let in will find out I'm not as amazing as I present myself. That I'm not as good as I think I am. That I'm not goo enough. That's what I'm most afraid of, Jaune."
Jaune just stared at her for a while. He wasn't expecting her to get this deep with him. He eventually pulled his hand away from his mouth. "Coco, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to go-"
She shook her head, "I know and I'm not upset. I've figured that out about myself a long time ago. I'm just not ready to move past it yet." She gave him a small smile, "I'm not telling you to move on. I'm not even telling you that what you're feeling is stupid. I'm just telling you that you'll never really be happy until you move forward."
She stood from her chair and stretched out her back slightly with a light groan, "I need to go meet up with my family. Just think about what I said Jaune, okay?"
He hesitated before giving her a nod and that made her smile, "Good. I'm going to be rooting for you." She turned and started to make her way to the exit.
"Coco." he spoke up, stopping her before she could walk away. "Thank you. I think I needed to hear that. And... And I'm sorry I said that to you. I'm an ass."
He heard her snort and she turned to look over her shoulder to him. A very familiar smile back on her face, "No problem. It is my job to help out my junior after all."
He returned the smile, "We're not in high school anymore though."
Coco shrugged, "Doesn't matter. You'll always be my junior." She turned back around and waved to him. "Good luck with those women of yours. And if it doesn't work out, you have me, Ren, Nora and Velvet to help you out. Remember that, Blondie."
Jaune just watched her go and just let what she said and everything he had been feeling work themselves out in his head. Trying to figure out what he should do next. He knew what he should do but he was quickly finding out that sometimes those were some of the hardest things to do.
He didn't have long to think about it since his break was ending soon. But even as he busied himself with work, those thoughts kept playing in the back of his head. Getting closer and closer to the answer.
A/N- Surprise! An update for this story! There really isn't much left for this story, 2-3 chapters at most. So I decided to just try to finish it up rather than prolonging it.
Anyways, thank you all for being patient and I hope it was worth the wait. And I hope you'll stick around until the end!
