The Genin had just met their Jounin Sensei, Obito Uchiha, a quarky person, who often was nice but a little weird.
"So let me introduce myself, I am Obito Uchiha, I like my rank, sweets and I guess my friends, I dislike traitors and stuck up idiots, My hobbies are up to me, I like to switch them around from time to time, my dream is to be Hokage," said the Jounin, smiling. Obito was dressed in Jounin attire with his entire body covered by gloves and a cloth over his left eye. His face was scarred on the right side.
Naruto really didn't understand why anyone would want to be Hokage, it has so much paperwork and you have to take care of an entire village, It also didn't help the position's case that Minato Namikaze was the fourth Hokage, the person who left Naruto in the village.
"Okay, I am Naruto Uzumaki, I like wolfy and my friends, I dislike traitors and certain people, my hobbies are training and learning new techniques I can use, my dream is to become Anbu Commander," said Naruto, spoke with some spite at the certain people, Sasuke and Hinata were confused who the 'certain people' are as Naruto was nice to everyone, so who would he actually dislike? Naruto seemed to have a darkness.
"Okay, now you Sasuke?" asked Obito to which Sasuke.
"My name is Sasuke Uchiha, I like my older brother and my parents, I dislike fangirls and annoying people, my hobbies include training and my dream is to become a better shinobi than my older brother," said Sasuke to which Obito smiled.
"And finally..." said Obito to which waved to Hinata Hyuga.
"Hi my name is Hinata Hyuga, I like my dad, Ko, my sister and my f-friends, I dislike the elders, my hobbies are training with N-Naruto, my d-dream is to unite the branch and main houses," said Hinata Hyuga albiet nervously but without much of her stuttering. Obito smiled at all of them, they all had true and good dreams.
"You all have good dreams, I honestly believe your dreams are possible but it would take alot of work," said Obito to which all of them smiled "However before we get onto the actual training, I will have to do a test if I want to take you on."
"But what's the point of passing us if you are going to give me another test?" asked Sasuke.
"The point of passing you from the academy is because you have to potential to be Genin, not because you are genin," said Obito to which all three genin looked shocked "since it is such a nice day, we will do the test today, meet me at training ground 3."
Obito disappeared in a flash of smoke. As Naruto, Sasuke and Hinata walked together towards the training ground. They had decided to talk about the test before actually doing the test.
"So what do you think this test is about?" asked Sasuke.
"We are most likely a heavy assault team, we go and fight enemies, meaning this test will most likely be us against Obito-sensei, since he is a jounin and definitely better than us in fights," said Naruto in a thinking pose as they walked "we'll have to work together."
Sasuke understood the logic of this anaylsis, a Jounin was an extremely skilled opponent, they had to be to be skilled as they were. Obito was most likely more skilled than them.
"So we work together to beat him?" asked Sasuke.
"Yep," said Hinata with a nod.
"So what's the plan?" asked Sasuke with a smile.
-Time skip-
The Genin had finally arrived and saw Obito waiting for them. Obito had a big grin on his face. Since they were so young, Obito would try not to hurt them, too much but he would have fun with it.
"Okay, I have two bells, your job is to get these two bells off of me, get it off me before the evening and let's see how good you are," explained Obito.
"But why are there two bells?" asked Hinata.
"Because only two of you pass, one of you is going back to the academy," said Obito with a mad glint in his eye before laughing insanely, "Begin!"
Suddenly both Sasuke and Naruto began going through hand signs as Obito watched them interessted.
"Fire release: great fire ball technique!" shouted Sasuke as Naruto used wind release.
"Wind release: great breakthrough!" shouted Naruto as Naruto enlarged the flame with wind release. Obito's eyes widened at the giant fireball using shunshin to teleport behind the teammates only for Hinata to attack with gentle fist. Obito wasn't a jounin for nothing and was quickly able to deal with the first idea and was definitely impressed with this team's skill.
Obito knew they were skilled and were going to be even more skilled with the training plan he had for the next year. Obito disappeared as the team planned their next attack.
-Thirty minutes later-
Obito of course willingly walked into the attack as he did Sasuke and Naruto pulled the ninja wire on the floor. Obito was tied with no form of escape, obviously Obito could just substitute himself but let them capture him to see what they would do next.
He then noticed the white eyed Hokage rushing straight at him. He of course stood still and let her hit him. It would work wonders for her confidence.
"Eight triagrams: sixty four palms!" shouted the girl as she quickly jabbed at each of the tenketsu of the Jounin. Obito was impressed by the skills of the team and decided just then that they would pass if he had anything to say about it.
-In the Hokage Tower-
"That was impressive," said Iruka with wide eyes. Right now the parents of Team 7, the Chunin instructor and finally the Hokage were watching the match with great interest.
"They effortlessly worked together and used a clever strategy to defeat Obito," said Fugaku with a hand on his chin, definitely impressed.
"They have alot of potential," said The third as he realised why the Anbu commander asked to pass them so early.
"It seems that I made a mistake here, the Anbu Commander was correct," said Iruka.
"What exactly is the Anbu Commander planning?" asked Hiashi Hyuga.
"He wants to get these three into Anbu by 10," said Hiruzen Sarutobi.
"How high does he think of these kids?" asked Iruka.
"The Commander has the belief that they would be the next legendary Sannin or even greater," said The old Kage.
"Alright," said Iruka.
