AN: Sorry for going a bit quick in this but I want to go over this part in Naruto's life quickly as I want to get to the actual story.
Sasuke's training was coming along nicely. Instead of having just his sensei helping him, Naruto and Hinata were also helping. Obito mostly taught Sasuke how to improve his reserves so that he could do more than just the fireball technique, Obito planned to teach Sasuke Sasuke with kenjutsu and Hinata helped Sasuke with taijutsu.
Naruto also helped Sasuke unlock his sharingan though Naruto's definition of ethics could use some work
-flashback sequence-
Sasuke was walking towards a training field where they were supposed to meet. Sasuke walked forward after asking his brother for tips on kenjutsu, his brother explained that Sasuke's style was too wide, once Sasuke improved that error, Sasuke could block and parry much better with his attacks being faster, sadly Itachi was called away on a mission.
Sasuke waited for about 5 minutes before looking for his teammates.
"Naruto, Hinata, Obito-sensei!" shouted Sasuke as he walked towards the training field.
"Sasuke..." called out a voice behind Sasuke. There they found Itachi bleeding out, walking towards Sasuke.
"Itachi-nii!" shouted Sasuke as he rushed towards his brother who fell down. Sasuke stopped as he saw blood come out of Itachi. Sasuke was so sad, his sharingan activated. Sasuke closed his eyes.
"Sasuke, you okay?" asked a voice, sounding quite young.
When Sasuke opened he found a similar blond looking at him with Itachi no where to be found.
"Where is Itachi?" asked Sasuke as he looked for Itachi.
"Is that what you saw?" asked Naruto.
"What do you mean?" asked Sasuke.
"It was a genjutsu, Sasuke," said Naruto.
"Wh-wha-what?!" shouted Sasuke.
"I placed it onto you to help you," said Naruto. However Naruto didn't reacieve thanks but rather a fist to the face as Sasuke ran off crying. Naruto just sat there confused.
"Did I do something wrong?" asked Naruto to Hinata who just looked at him shocked.
"Naruto, it is wrong to place your teammates under a genjutsu," said Hinata.
"It is?" asked Naruto.
-Time skip 2 hours-
Sasuke had been sitting on a rock for a few minutes. He was angry at Naruto for putting him into an illusion where Sasuke saw his older brother die. Sasuke however didn't sense a man approaching before Obito sat down next to him.
"Naruto told me what happened, I know you're angry, Sasuke," said Obito.
"And I shouldn't be?!" asked Sasuke, staring into Obito's eyes with his sharingan staring into Obito's very own sharingan.
"You should but Sasuke, think about this from Naruto's perspective, Naruto is a kind boy but has no understanding of what ethics are," said Obito.
"What do you mean?" asked Sasuke as his anger began dissipating.
"He is raised by Anbu, I don't think they taught him how to be ethical, they taught him how to fight and how to survive but he doesn't have any friends except for you and Hinata, so he thinks he is doing you a kindness," said Obito.
"Oh," said Sasuke.
"Yes so I do suggest you try to forgive him," said Obito.
"Can I teach him ethics?" asked Sasuke.
"Yes you can," said Obito as Obito and Sasuke got up. They arrived at the training field to see Naruto and Hinata there waiting for them. Naruto looked at Sasuke and then back at Obito.
"So sensei, will we be doing a D-rank right now?" asked Naruto.
"No Naruto, we won't right now as Sasuke and Hinata will be teaching you something," said Obito as Naruto looked curious about what they would teach him. Hinata herself was confused as Obito walked away.
'I have seen darkness in all three of them, the darkness that Anbu requires, for Naruto I saw it when he looked into my eyes when I told him about his parents, for Sasuke, I saw it just now in his eyes and for Hinata it is whenever I mention the curse bird seal,' thought Obito as he went back to his office.
-Another time skip for a month-
"How is their training going, Commander?" asked Koharu. Koharu, Homura and Danzo believed that the Anbu Commander was just watching the training field, rather than training them.
"Quite well, Sasuke is making progress and will be ready by the time of the Chunin Exams," said Wolf.
"Do you really believe they can be the next Sannin?" asked Homura.
"Indeed," said Wolf.
"What exactly is Sasuke teaching Naruto right now?" asked Sarutobi.
"The importance of ethics," said Wolf.
"Why must he learn that?" asked Danzo.
"Naruto doesn't understand not to put his teammates under genjutsu or the difference between right and wrong when helping a teammate, his teammates are teaching them that," said Wolf.
"So what's the plan?" asked Hiruzen.
"In a month, I will take the team on their very first C-rank, after that the Chunin Exams and by 8 I want them in Anbu" said Wolf.
"I am afraid, I cannot allow that," said Sarutobi.
"Why not?" asked the Commander.
"there is an age limit, by 13 if my age isn't failing me," said Hiruzen.
"Respectfully sir, you were willing to send children into war at 6, why wouldn't you let them join Anbu?" asked the Anbu Commander.
"B-because..." said Hiruzen.
"Sir, I am afraid that I will be inducting them into Anbu by 8 and have an entire plan for them," said Wolf.
"Fine but if anything happens to them..." said Hiruzen.
"Nothing will happen to them," said Wolf.
-A month later-
The month had been harsh for Sasuke but now they were finally on the same level. With the sharingan Obito just had Sasuke copy techniques for taijutsu and ninjutsu, Naruto had taught him enough about Kenjutsu to make him deadly.
Right now, they were on the mission desk going on their first C-rank mission.
"Do you have a bandit elimination mission?" asked Obito. The Chunin at the desk nodded as he handed Obito a mission about bandits near Konoha that needed to be eliminated.
