This is fhe last part of this multi fic! I'll be continuing it through an actual story!

Seven weeks later

Nikki is now 20 weeks pregnant and you could definitely see a good bump. Jack couldn't keep his eyes of it, he always glanced at her when she was doing a PM or when she walked in the room, she was breathtaking.

"Nikki?" Clarissa said while making her way to Nikki's desk.

"Hmm?" Nikki said focused on her computer.

"Important day right?" Clarissa said with a big smile.

Nikki didn't reply and scrolled trough the big report she was reading. Clarissa tried to clear her throat but also had no effect of getting Nikki's attention. She made her way to her own desk and went to work on some things herself , once every couple of minutes she glanced up to look at Nikki who still was staring at her screen, sometimes scrolling down with her mousepad.

After a little while Jack came back from the science lab and made his way to his own desk.

"Jack?" Clarissa said while looking up to him.

"Clarissa?" He replied while he looked at the woman who was across from him in the main offices.

"You're wife isn't replying to me."

Jack chuckles. "We aren't married yet Clarissa."

"You act like it already, just to the city hall and get married."

"We're actually thinking about doing that."

"Good, but that's not the point. Look at her, she is completely zoned out." Clarissa said while nudging her head towards Nikki who still was in the same position.

"Nik?" Jack said while looking at Nikki. "Hello? Earth to Nicola." When Nikki still didn't reply he walked up to her and bend down next to her and lays his hand on her knee. "Nik?"

Nikki jumped up a little and looked at Jack. "What? What's wrong?"

Jack lets out a little laugh and squeezed Nikki's knee. "You zoned out, Clarissa has been trying to get contact with you for 10 minutes."

"Oh." Nikki's face flushes and his her face in her hands. "Sorry. I was finishing up this horrible report and re-reading it really suck me in to it." She let out a sigh and removed her hands from her face, she leant back in her chair and looked at Jack.

"I know, this case was pretty shitty, is the report finished?" Jack asks still holding her knee in his hand.

"Yes, i just send it to the police." Nikki replied with a little smile. "Finally done." She places her own hand on his and squeezed his hand.

"Great." Jack said while standing up, he kissed the top of her head and walked back to bis desk.

Nikki smiled and looked at Clarissa. "Sorry Clarissa, what were you saying?"

Clarissa smiled and made her way to Nikki's desk. "Don't worry. I said that today is an important day."

"Hm, yes it is." Nikki smiled and quickly looked at Jack who smiled back at her with a wink. "20 week ultrasound." She said while she rested both hands on her stomach.

"Are you guys finding out the sex?" Clarissa asks curiously looking between Nikki and Jack.

"Yes, but Nikki's a bit stuck between two choices." Jack said with a chuckle. "I mean i already know it's a girl but she doesn't know how she wants to find out it's a girl."

Nikki giggles and rolls her eyes. "It's a boy Jack."

"Girl."

"Boy."

Clarissa rolls her eyes at the pair and laughs. "This is going on for ages!"

"Sorry Clarissa, after this weekend you won't hear this anymore." Nikki giggles.

"Then you'll hear me saying that i was right." Jack said with a smirk on his face.

Clarissa shakes her head laughing. "Okay, you two, stop." She looks at Nikki and tried to get the conversation back where it was. "What are the two options Nikki?"

Nikki sat up normally and looked at Clarissa. "Well one option is that we just find out today at the maternity unit.. or we have a little gathering this Sunday with family and close friends and slice open a cake and then we can see if it's a boy or girl."

"A cake?" Clarissa asks confused.

"Yeah it's stupid but i'm craving cake, it's insane! I want cake for breakfast, lunch and diner.." Nikki lets out a groan and stands up. "I'm so done with this, i just want to push the baby out already, i'm done!" Nikki suddenly became red with anger and walked out of the main offices leaving a stunned Clarissa and a snickering Jack behind.

Clarissa looks at Jack, still stunned.

"Mood swings."

"Yeah, i didn't notice that." Clarissa said sarcastically. "Is she having them a lot? I never noticed it at work."

"She always had them, but since last week it became worse, she cried yesterday because we had no more bread, or became angry because i folded the bed sheet wrong."

Clarissa shakes her head and laughs. "You need to he there for her Jack."

"I am! She will come back in the room apologizing, i know her very well." Jack said with a smirk. "That cake idea though, we're not doing that, that's not for people our age who are expecting." He chuckles. "Cara showed us a video and Nikki loved it, but she only loved it because she wants cake all the time."

"You're the worst Hodgson." Clarissa said shaking her head.

Nikki came back in the room, her face was a little damp and so was her hair, she clearly washed her face with some water.

"You okay love?"

"Yeah i'm fine, sorry for storming off." Nikki said with a apologetic face. "These mood swings are the worst." She says while walking to Jack.

"Don't worry about it Nikki." Clarissa said with a smile.

"Yeah Nik, don't worry about it. You know we love you." Jack said while pulling her in his lap, he kissed her temple and wrapped his arms around her.

"You two better love me." Nikki said with a little scoff.

"We do, and if you want a cake to announce the gender of the baby, we will get a cake."

"I don't want it anymore."

"Hm really?" Jack said putting up a fake shock in his voice, he already knew she'd come around.

"When i think about a cake now i get nauseous." Nikki said softly.

"We talked about cakes 5 minutes ago?" Jack said softly, trying his best not to piss her off.

"I know, and now i don't want cake anymore." Nikki said while folding her arms and pouting like a little child.

"And what do you want now?" Clarissa asks with a small laugh, pregnant Nikki was really a character, but a lovely one.

"Carrots think." Nikki said with a smile.

Jack laughs and shakes his head, he made Nikki look at him and quickly pecks her lips. "I love you and your weird pregnancy cravings."

Nikki giggles and slaps his chest. "Not at work Jack!"

"Oh come on, we're the only ones here and Clarissa doesn't mind. Also we're done for today."

"Just don't hump each other like crazy teenagers, then i'm fine with everything." Clarissa said with a smirk.

"I promise! Although i can't promise that for Nikki, pregnancy hormones and everything... she can't keep her hands off me." Jack said with a mischievous grin.

"Jack!" Nikki hisses and slaps his chest a little harder.

"Ow!"

"Oh don't be such a wuss." Nikki said with a smirk.

Jack puts his hand on the place where Nikki slapped him and pouts at her.

"Little baby." Nikki laughs and pecks his lips one more time before looking back at Clarissa who smirked at the pair. "Sorry for that Clarissa."

"Don't worry, me and Max also can't keep out hands off each other."

Both Nikki and Jack smile at Clarissa and shake their heads.

"Okay so, the ultrasound... when can i expect a call today?"

"Do you and Max have plans tonight Clarissa?" Nikki asks with a smile on her face.

Jack knew that smile, she always had that smile on her face when she has an idea, he still had Nikki on his lap but she was sittinf side ways so he could see her face.

"No, we don't have any plans, why do you ask?"

Nikki gave Jack a look hoping he would get what she wanted to suggest, she smiled when Jack nodded at her knowing what was on her mind.

"Do you want to have diner at our place? After or before the diner we can find out the sex together?"

A smile appeared on Clarissa's face. "Do you want us there?"

"Yes." Both Jack and Nikki said at the same time, they smiled at each other and then focused back to Clarissa. "So? You guys coming?" Nikki asks.

"Ofcourse! Max is asking me everyday how you're doing to to meet up soon, i'll have to call him but count us in." Clarissa said with the biggest smile. "How are you going to do that? You won't be finding it out at the maternity unit?"

"We can ask the midwife to write it down on a piece of paper and put in it in a envelope and close it. We'll open it tonight with everyone around so we can share our excitement with all our loved ones." Nikki beamed with excitement and she could tell Jack was too.

"Lovely idea Nikki, i'm honored. I'm calling Max, he'll be delighted." Clarissa said before leaving the offices to call Max somewhere private.

"I love that idea, Nik." Jack said while pulling Nikki in a tight hug. "My da is texting me every hour to say he can't wait to find out."

Nikki giggled in his chest. "I know, he's texting me every hour too."

"Crazy old men!" Jack chuckles and pulls away from the hug to kiss Nikki on the lips.

"I'm so excited Jack, after tonight we can brainstorm on the baby room, and i think i'm ready to shop for clothes too." Nikki smiles and looks at her growing bump.

"Are you now?" Jack said teasily. "I'm happy to hear that Nik, tomorrow or sunday we can look through some ideas for the room and if you want to go shopping, then we go shopping, you're the boss."

Nikki laughs and shakes her head. "You're the best for keeping up with my through all these hormones and mood swings."

"Hodgsons can be patient, ya know?" He winks at Nikki. "And besides, some mood swings are in my favor." He said while wiggling his eyebrows at her.

Nikki rolls her eyes at him and gets off his lap. "You're such a horny teenager!"

"Me? You're the one who climbs on top of me in the middle of the night, or undresses herself in the kitchen... oh! And remember that time when you texted me to meet you in the showers? I loved that one the most i think, love all those moments." Jack replies with a smirk on his face.

"I never hear you complain..."

"Me? Complaining? No way! I'm already looking forward to the next 20 weeks.. and maybe the next pregnancy." The last part came out softly, not knowing how she would react.

"Look at you, already thinking about the second one." Nikki said with a little smirk. "Let's first survive the first couple of months with this one before we talk about more mister."

Jack laughs and also stands up to slowly collect his things. "Deal."

Nikki walks over to her desk and also slowly gathers her stuff.

"So about this little one, no filled cake tonight?"

Nikki laughed. "No, no cake please." She grabs her bag and puts her jacket on. "We could..."

"No, we're not filling a carrot."

"I know, i was just kidding." Nikki quickly replied with a shy smile.

"Mhm, of course you were." Jack gives her a knowing look.

The doorbell rang and Nikki opened the front door to see Clarissa and Max.

"Hi you guys! Come in." Nikki said opening the door a bit wider to let the couple in, she hugged Max and Clarissa and took their coats. She led them to the living room where Cara and Conor already sat at the big diner table. "Take a seat, diner is almost ready."

"I hope Jack is cooking?" Clarissa said with a mischievous smile.

"Funny Clarissa, but yes. He is cooking."

"Can't wait! Now tell me how was the ultrasound? Everything okay with uor little prince or princess?" Max asks while settinf a chair away for Clarissa to move her chair in the gap and taking a seat himself next to her.

"I was just telling Conor and Cara that everything is going perfect, the baby is growing good and was a little stubborn already by moving away the whole time, but we has a little peak though before he or she decided to move away again." Nikki said laughing. "What do you want to drink?"

"For me a white wine please." Clarissa said.

"For me a water please, I'm driving." Max said politely.

"Great, i'll be back in a sec." Nikki said and walked in the kitchen to see Jack at the stove, she walked to him and wrapped her arms around him from behind. "I love this."

"Me too." Jack replied smiling. "Diner is ready in 5, go sit down and ask Cara to help me out a bit? The doctor said you need to take more rest Nik, please do so." Jack said with a worry in his voice, the midwife told them the baby was perfectly but Nikki's blood pressure was too high, she needed to take some more rest and think about herself and the baby.

"Yes, you're right. I'll send Cara, i'm just going to grab Max and Clarissa their drinks." Nikki kissed his back and pulled away to make a glass of wine and a glass of water and went back to the living room to set the glasses down in front of Max & Clarissa, she signs to Cara if she could help Jack out in the kitchen, she happily did so.

After 5 minutes Jack and Cara walked in the room and setting the food on the table, Jack grabbed himself a red wine and sat down at the diner table next to Nikki, who also sat next to Cara. Conor, Clarissa and Max sat opposite of the three of them.

"Looks impressive Jack." Clarissa said.

"It's not something fancy. it's Irish stew." Jack said looking a little bit to proud. He knew it's one of Nikki's favorite dishes and she praises him each time he made it for her.

"Well let's dig in! I think we all look forward to the dessert." Jack said while he pointed to the envelope that was sat on the table in the living area.

"Well hurry up then son!" Conor said while grabbing the big spoon to fill his plate.

Jack chuckles and looks at Nikki who smiled at him, he leaned in and whispers a 'i love you' in her ear and kissed her temple before pulling away.

After dinner Jack and Max joined the others in the living area, Jack insisted on doing the dishes because he knew otherwise Nikki would do it and he really needed her to a step back, if that means he needs to do everything in the house himself, he'll do it. Jack sat down next to Nikki on the couch and felt Nikki immediately cuddle in to bis arms.

"I have to say it again but the diner was amazing Jack." Max said while sitting down in one of the armchairs.

"Thank you." Jack replied.

Cara cleared her throat to get everyone's attention. 'Are we going to open the envelope?' She signs excitedly.

"Yes we are." Jack said while signing.

Cara stood up and grabbed the envelope giving it to Jack.

"Do you want to open it?" Jack asks looking at Nikki.

"You can do it, i know you want to." Nikki smiled up at him.

"Well son, open it!" Conor said impatiently.

Jack shakes his head with a chuckle and slowly opens the envelope, he grabs the folded piece of paper that was in it and opens it to read what's on it, a smile appeared on his face.

"And?" Clarissa said very curiously.

"It's a girl." Jack beamed with pride and handed the piece of paper to a shocked but grinning Nikki. "We're having a girl." Jack said softly in disbelief and kissed Nikki quick but passionately.

Everyone cheered and walked to the pair to hug them and congratulate the couple.

"I'm so happy son, ya won't believe it." Conor said while a tear escaped from his eye.

"Are you crying already da? She isn't even here yet!" Jack laughed and pulled his father in a hug again.

'I'm having a little niece!' Cara said with a big smile on her face.

"You better name her after me Jack, aunt Clarissa is going to spoil this girl." Clarissa smirked at the pair.

"I bet you will, still need convincing on the name though." Jack replied receiving a little slap from Clarissa on his arm.

That night after everyone left and Jack came back from walking his dad to his flat, the pair were curled up together on the couch watching a movie. Cara went to her own room to have some alone time.

Nikki let out a big yawn, that didn't go unnoticed by Jack. "Should i bring you to bed?"

"Only if you're joining me."

"Of course i will." Jack replied planting a kiss on the top of her head. He untangled himself from Nikki and stood up, he turned off the television and turned to Nikki to help her stand up from the couch, he grabbed her hand and led her upstairs to their bedroom turning off the lights on his way up.

Tney entered their bedroom and the both of them stripped down completely, throwing their clothes in the hamper before climbing in bed and tangling their bodies together again, Jack hand rested on Nikki's stomach rubbing it slowly, he found himself doing this every night, it calmed himself but also calmed Nikki.

"I can't believe we're having a little girl." Nikki said smiling.

"And i can't believe i was right and you weren't." Jack replied teasing Nikki.

Nikki giggles and captured their lips together for a brief moment. "I wanted a proper kiss from you all day."

"Mhm.. i need more than that." Jack replied crashing his lips on hers, their kiss got intense every second and their tongues found each other battling for dominance, Jack hands now roamed every inch of Nikki's body making Nikki slowly moan in his mouth, he smiled into the kiss and carefully pulled Nikki on top of him, with her bump getting bigger their positions kept changing.

"Ow!" Nikki let out holding her stomach.

"W-What happend?! Did i hurt you?" Jack panicked and laid Nikki back down on her back, he held himself up and looked at her worried. "Nikki?!"

After a few seconde the shock on Nikki's face faded and a smile appeared on her face.

"What?" Jack said confused.

Nikki grabbed Jack's hand and puts it on her stomach. "Feel this?"

Jack still was confused but after a few seconds he felt a soft thump against his hand. "Oh wow." He let out, a big smile forming on his face.

"Not that hard yet, but i panicked when i felt it which made it look heavier." Nikki giggled and stoked his hand that still laid on his stomach.

"This is amazing, she wants our attention already."

Nikki giggles and kept feeling her daughter move very softly. "She's already daddy's little girl, she keeps on moving or kicking while your hand is still there."

When the soft movements slowly stopped Jack withdrawals his hand from her stomach and went to sit on his knees, he bent down and planted multiple kissed on Nikki's stomach making Nikki laugh out loud. "Hello you, stay in there for a little while okay? Daddy will keep you and mommy safe." He mumbles against Nikki's stomach, he feels a very soft kick again and smiles. "I can't wait to meet you in 19 weeks." Jack felt his daughter slowly kick again. "I'm going to kiss your mom again now, you can go back to sleep little one." he kissed Nikki's stomach one more time before making his way to her lips, kissing every inch on his way up.

"I love you." He says while kissing Nikki.

"Mhmm, i love you too."

This is officially the end of the multi fic! Don't worry, i'm continueing this multi fic in an actual fic, i will upload the first chapter in the next few days! I will be posting one shots here again :)
