Small AN: Its been awhile, life has changed a lot. Lets hope for the best together

Classes had begun in earnest once again with Harry being dragged to and fro, between subjects by Hermione and Ron to certain classes, and in others he was pulled bodily away by Daphne or Susan. All along the way thinking about the strange divination session he had had with Professor Dumbledore. He had begun poking into the library looking for books to explain what he had seen, unfortunately that had not yet bore fruit for him. He may have to look in other places more exotic for his answers, possibly even using Hedwig to fetch books for him from Diagon Alley

"You know if you are looking into divination more heavily than the base level that students in our age range have need for, you could always go to Professor Trewaley." Susan said to him as he continued peering through the library stacks around him in the section of the library devoted to divination readings that he had access to.

"I've never met her, what is she like?" he asked as he took down a book meant for third years about interpreting astral signs and shook his head and placed it back on the shelf. Yes, the moon was an astral sign but this book focused more on the astrological positions of certain bodies in the sky compared to how he needed them to be in divination form specifically tea leaves. While useful it would do him no amount of good to look here, but maybe in the future if he took astrology and arithmancy it could be a good book to reference back to.

"She is… ditzy is probably the best word for it, her rooms are heavily incensed but that is because she claims it helps her focus more on the readings than the world around her, they say she is descended from a coven of witches of the old ways. Supposedly they cut themselves off from society even more than we do now. They live amongst the woods in tune with the spirits and commune with nature in ways that we more modern wizards have forgotten about or chosen to leave in the past." Daphne said as she twirled her hair between her fingers absently picking through an essay for Transfiguration.

"That is both reassuring and not at the same time you know? I wonder how she came across a job here, Hogwarts is fairly progressive isn't it?" Harry questioned as he moved from one row to another passing a Ravenclaw fifth year. Roger Davis if Harry remembered the name to go with the face.

"There were lots of rumors about that when she first started apparently." Susan said as she pulled out a small leather-bound book and started making notes in it. The way she was writing connecting bubbles of different ideas together always intrigued Harry who had taken notice when the book made contact with the table.

"What do you know about covens in relation to houses and such?" He asked as he finally gave up his search with a huff; If what he was looking for existed in the Hogwarts library then it was either beyond his reach or simply hidden to well for a second-year student to find with his current ability.

Harry slid into the seat next to Susan and began sketching out the symbols he saw in the cauldron. First the large dog, recreating the raised hackles and snarl he had seen in its visage was difficult taking him many attempts. After he had a reasonable approximation of it, he moved the half decent looking copy aside, effectively placing it in front of Susan who peered up from her book taking in the detail that had been placed upon the way the animal looked.

Harry hummed to himself as he continued drawing, next was the crescent moon hung above a bright emerald colored pool of leaves, the moon was fairly simple but recreating the leaf pile took him more tries than he was happy to admit, who knew that leaves were so hard to do. Once done he again slid the correct one off to the side once again in front of Susan, who studied it in detail with a similar curiosity to the previous, less expressive than the last drawing, yet the detail attributed to making the leaf pile sit correctly was noteworthy.

The final picture came instantly and perfectly, the raised pattern of the strange symbol etched into his mind, he felt a sort of connection to it, but why he had no idea. The circle came as one swift movement one turn of his wrist and it laid upon the parchment, and just a moment later with a slash of the quill it was bisected just the same, and finally the triangle connecting the two together as if it had meant to be there all along. Harry's unintentional theatrics had drawn Susan's eye from her note taking, and she had been enraptured by the symbol. She was even more entranced by what Harry was drawing next. The snake similarly seemed to flow out of his hand with grace and ease, it's fangs dangerous and curved inward looking wickedly sharp even in the drawing. The eyes though… even as he put quill to parchment, they seemed to follow his every movement shifting and always keeping him in view as he added detail work to its scales and a large frill to the back of its neck.

Susan did not wait for Harry to move the drawing on his own instead snatching it which drew a shout of indignation from the boy.

"What is this symbol?" Susan asked voice curious, it seemed to draw her in to itself. She couldn't seem to pull away, even her smaller pool of magic which she normally struggled to feel outside of when she pulled directly from it, felt uneasy in the presence of this symbol.

"I'm not exactly sure." Harry said as he started gathering up the wasted parchment from his failed attempts. "It feels familiar, but I don't know why, I'm fairly certain I've seen it before, and yet." Here Harry paused for a moment. " I can't place it anywhere."

"It gives me an odd feeling." Susan said continuing to gaze at the eerie drawing in front of her without looking away. Finally, she placed the drawing down on the table and began packing up her things. Their next class would be starting soon, and Susan refused to be late. Harry Hurried after her shortly, not noticing they had drawn the attention of a watcher in the stacks of books.

Herbology was a long trek from the library, but the duo had left early enough that it didn't really matter much, as they arrived at the classroom they would be using well before the class officially began. There were already a few other Puffs conversing amongst each other and Susan went and joined them shortly after arriving and bidding Harry goodbye. The class was okay, not much happening except for lecturing from Professor Sprout, and yet Harry could not commit himself fully to the lessons even as Hermione attempted to keep him on task and paying attention, his thoughts continued to stray to large wolves, and Snakes moving in ways he simply couldn't help but feel were familiar.
