The remaining days of Brother's punishment had finally come to an end. The Dark Matter bounced excitedly as Lord Miracle hovered over him. The defective Zero could feel the excitement coming from the Dark Matter, though he had no interest in scolding him.

"You're really excited to go back to your brother, aren't you?"

The Dark Matter replied with a nod, though he hoped that Lord Miracle wouldn't feel too lonely without the Dark Matter around. Of course, there was always the chance that they would bump into each other again, so the Dark Matter shouldn't worry too much.

"We will admit, seeing you and your brother often reminds us of when Lord Zero and us were young. You two may not be twins yourselves, but you still have quite a strong bond regardless. We do hope that bond will lead to good for the both of you one day."

Once again, the Dark Matter nodded. He hovered over to Lord Miracle and nuzzled against one of his eyes. Although surprised at first, Lord Miracle closed the eye in an attempt to show affection. Lord Zero must be furious right now, but if it was anyone that stood close to his level, it was Lord Miracle.

With all that said and done, the Dark Matter flew away from the nest. From the distance, he could hear Lord Miracle yell "Take care of yourself!"

The Dark Matter continued to fly, he flew far from Lord Miracle's nest. He flew past the lake, Lord Zero's nest, and the rest of his sibling's nests. He was so excited that it felt like his fins would fall off.

Eventually, he managed to crash into his own nest. His brother quickly rose as if startled from the impact. Once he realized what was going on, he quickly wrapped his cloak around the Dark Matter and rested his head on top of him.

"Hello, Brother! I've missed you SO much!"

The Dark Matter hugged back in response as he tucked his fins back into his body. He was happy to finally be home.

"Now what shall we do today?" Brother asked as he looked down at sibling. "Should we do some training? Or perhaps we could relax at the lake?"

The Dark Matter exhaled as he nuzzled against his brother's chest. He wasn't interested in either at the moment.

"Yes, perhaps we should relax here for now...you DID just get back, after all."

The Dark Matter nodded as Brother lied down. Once again, he rested his head on top of the younger Dark Matter.

Of course, the Dark Matter knew he couldn't stay with Brother forever. Between his missions and Lord Zero's commands, there will be times where they'll have to separate again. But for right now, he wanted to enjoy his brother's company for as long as he could.

It had been years since then, and...well, the Dark Matter was right when he knew that he couldn't always stay with his brother.

Recently, Lord Zero had banished him from his home. The Dark Matter wasn't able to learn any kind of ability, which made Lord Zero very upset with him. Had Brother not done anything, the Dark Matter would've been killed.

So now, the Dark Matter was in a world that was much brighter than his own. He knew the light was going to make him sick, but he had no idea HOW sick it would make him feel.

Luckily, there was someone who was willing to help the Dark Matter. A couple of days ago, a small pink creature and his friends decided to nurse him back to health. And though the Dark Matter was still recovering, the pink creature barely left his side. Said creature went by the name "Kirby," if the Dark Matter remembered correctly.

Speaking of which, Kirby slowly woke up next to the Dark Matter. He rubbed the gunk out of his eyes as he let out a yawn.

"Good Morning, Gooey!"

...Right, the Dark Matter actually had a name now. "Gooey", it was something he was still trying to get used to. Nonetheless he nuzzled Kirby as a way to greet him back.

"So what did you wanna do today?" Kirby asked. "Did you wanna play a game or something?"

Gooey shook his head as he nuzzled back into his pillow. He still felt groggy, and his body still ached, though he wasn't sure anymore if it was from being sick or from crashing into the planet. Probably both.

"OK, I'll go grab us some food, then."

With that said, Kirby hopped off the bed and left the house. This world was a bright and colorful one so far, unlike the world Gooey came from. Everyone Gooey had met so far was kind to him, though it didn't stop him from thinking about his old home.

But if everyone was willing to accept a defect like him, would they accept Brother as well? If Gooey could make friends on this planet, then it was safe to assume that Brother could make friends here too. In fact, they could even befriend Lord Miracle if they looked past the amount of eyes he had.

Although the circumstances were less then ideal at the moment, Gooey hoped that one day he could see his brother again.

All right, I finally have all the bigger stories moved over. And until I have another big story done, I'll move whatever small ones I have on Ao3.

I AM trying to work on something more light-hearted though, but until that's done I hope you guys enjoyed the other ones.
