Chapter 21. Remus gets invited to Grimmauld.
10th May 1986.
12 Grimmauld Place,
London, UK.
10 AM.
Remus Lupin had never been inside the Black ancestral home, it was weird stepping into a very modern home, that had appliances, including a telephone, VCR, radio and record player, as well as washing machine, and electric kettle, not to mention a state of the art kitchen, which had a small child cooking a feast. Wait, what?
"Welcome, Mr. Lupin, please sit down, the teapot is ready," said a very old house elf.
Sirius walked in his pajamas and moaned. "Ah, the light! Why, why do you enjoy making me suffer?" He asked the house-elf.
The old house-elf said. "Master said that the wolfman would be arriving in the morning, and all Kreacher did was wake you, to relay the message your guest had arrived," said Kreacher while folding three napkins and adding them to the kitchen table.
"Oh, fine, sit down Remus, and pass me the pot of coffee. I need caffeine if I'm going to start my day. Uh, Harry, Are you sure, Kreacher or I can't help?" Asked Sirius as he poured himself a cup of coffee.
The little boy turned and said. "Green Enchiladas, Full English, and Pain au Chocolat are ready," Three plates landed, on the table as Kreacher placed them in the order of Enchiladas for Sirius, full English breakfast for Remus, Pain au Chocolate for Harry and Harry added, "Here you go Kreacher, tomato soup and toasted cheese sandwich,"
"Master Harry is too kind," said Kreacher.
"Holy Morgana, you can cook?" Said Remus.
"Yeah, he can cook, pick up for himself, and hit the books like a champ," said Sirius as he cut his meal into smaller bits, clearly enjoying the appearance of the dish.
"Master could learn a thing or too, from little master Harry," said Kreacher as sipped from his cup.
Remus started coughing at the tone of Kreacher. Harry patted Remus's back and said, "Kreacher, the scolding comes after the meal, I don't need our guest choking, and neither do you, agreed?"
Remus regained his breath and said, "Thanks, Harry."
After a generous breakfast, the three went to the library, and Sirius asked, "Why didn't you visit while I was in Azkaban?"
"For the same reason I lost track of Harry, they, and I mean, ministry workers, Albus Dumbledore, and even the late Dursleys would not even answer my letters, requesting a meeting with you and the kid," answered Remus.
"You wrote to me?" Asked Harry,
"Yeah, all the letters were bounced back unopened and returned to the sender stamp on all." Answered Remus, he brought a bundle of letters out.
"What's worse I had a compulsion attached to my old wand, that made me not question Albus Dumbledore. The Goblins recently found out, and then I checked my vault in Gringotts, and found that the compulsion made me put my old letters inside the vault and not question further. I wanted to sort myself out before I restarted searching for Harry, but when I saw you two at Hermione's gathering, I almost lost it, fortunately. The Elven wards at Hermione's place, keep things cordial between magical and mundane. It helped me remain focused and wait for a solution."
"That manipulative old goat, he messed up so many of us, he had no right," said Harry as he began glowing. "Harry, remember, Hermione is a phone call away, please don't mess up the kitchen. You can destroy the table, that I can deal with," said Sirius.
Harry blushed and said, "Sorry about that, I need a minute, be right back," he said as he walked out.
Once Harry was out of the room, Remus regained his speech as he whispered. "That boy is powerful, I felt like he was about to wreck the house,"
"Uh, yeah, he basically annihilated the evil in Azkaban, and he was happy back then. I cannot fathom what he will do when he gets a hold of his enemies," said Sirius.
"Enemies?" Asked Remus.
"Ah, yes, let Harry get back, he has a great story to tell. Mind you, I need you to keep an open mind, it's his story, and I'm just happy he opened up to me, alright?" Asked Sirius.
"Really?" Asked Remus.
"Marauder's honor," said Sirius.
Harry walked back in and asked, "Sirius told you?"
"No, he said you would tell me," answered Remus.
"Okay, sit down Remus, it's going to be a while," said Harry. As Remus sat, Harry's shape-shifted to that of senior Harry and added in a sad tone. "This was my age, the last time I breathed last, before stepping through a portal in Peru. I wasn't alone, my best friend was with me, you know her Remus, her name is Hermione,"
