Chapter 72: This ends here
Hecate Held fast, Her hands moving to throw every attack Agatha threw her way up and away from the Students. Her main priority was to keep them safe. Ada was slowly rising from behind her, but even when she was down there she could see the blood trickling down the back of her head.
"Hecate!" She looked down briefly to see Mildred now stood before her, despite the scared look on her face, there was a determination on her face.
"Mildred, Get out of here!" For the first time, her voice waved. "Find Miss Bat." Miss Bat was never much of a fighter, but She was great with Protective charms, if anyone could keep them safe it was Miss Bat.. And right now, Mildreds safety was her top priority.
"I'm sorry!" Milred yelled out. "We're separating the coven.. I'm gonna take her out towards the Forest!" Mildred legged it, Leaving the stunned Hecate facing off against Agatha. That was the exact opposite of what she just told her to do!
"MILDRED!" She called out in hopes it would do something.. Stop her, maybe. She couldn't deny the own fear in her voice.. Only raising when she saw Juile Hubble hot on Mildreds heels.
"Miss Hardbroom!" Miss Bat game running up to them, speak of the devil. "I've got Miss Nightingale ushering the girls down the hall.. " She moved to help Ada up off the floor, Helping her away. "What should we do with the children, Hecate..?" She asked before leaving.
Hecate didn't have much time to think about it.. She bounced another blow from Agatha away. "Get all the students into the courtyard, get a barrier up, contact the great Wizard, and then get on contacting parents!" She side eyes the lingering Miss Bat, Ada leaning on her shoulder about to say something. "Go!" It was bad enough Mildred disobeyed her, she didn't need Miss Bat and Ada to do it too. Thankfully, they did as she asked, Leaving out the door, ushering various students their way. The Plan was set in Hecate's mind. Clear the hall of students, put Agatha in her place and end this with Juile Hubble.
"You can't keep that up forever, Miss Hardbroom!" Agatha bellowed across the Hall.. Her timing was beautiful to Hecate. The Last strays of the students were right on the outskirts by the other doors.. She deemed it safe enough to go mad without the harm of others.
"For once, You're quite correct.." Hecate spoke, more to herself than anything else. On the next blast from Agatha, she bounced it back at her. "Zip, Zap, Electric-Flack" Lightning sprung out after it, paralysing Agatha for a moment, before she dropped to her knees.
Hecate looked up at the banners, "To My hand, I call you.." The Banners begin to fly towards her. She held up her hands before waving them at Agatha before she could get up. "Wrap around the band, on my cue" The Banners lunged forward, wrapping Agatha up like a gift just for the Great Wizard..
She looked to her, then to the other door. "For once in your life, do as you're told, and stay still." She said to Agatha before taking off out the door. A Hand went to her dress, lifting it up to run into the wild. Her mind briefly went to Pippa, she thought she saw her going after Deliah.. And only hoped she'd be successful. She couldn't bear the thought of losing Pippa.. Or Mildred for that fact.
"If you won't come with me.. Then you leave me no choice!" She heard Juile Hubble before she saw her. Before her, the woman had a hand raised, and Mildred hovered in the air, grasping at her neck.
Hecate saw red. Pure, Unforgiving red. Suddenly every bone in her body felt alight, the hairs on her arms standing up on end, and her beating heart stopped. She clocked eyes With Mildred, and knew in her heart what she needed to do next. No one hurt her girl, let alone attempted to kill her.
She Couldn't bring herself to speak. She simply couldn't. The Clouds above began to crackle and scream, Malcomating into a fierce oncoming storm. The Clouds didn't stop within the sky overhead, they found themselves forming in an icy mist around Hecate's feet.
She brought her hand up, as if grabbing out at air before pulling it back harshly. Juile hubble fell backwards into the cold dirt, Letting Mildred fall, gasping for breath. Hecate had the urge to run to Mildred, to cheek on her. But It was now or never, She had to finish Juile off before she could move onto Mildred, she only hoped she'd understand. Lightning strikes around them, bringing down trees, burning bushes and leaving scorches in the grass.
Julie's eyes opened wide as she scrambled up to her feet, Fear covering her face before it adapts into anger "It seems your intent on getting in my way!"
"And yet.. You keep coming back for more." Hecate growled out.
Juile held her hands out in front of her, arms straight, Palms facing Hecate, a bolt of magic spurs forward. Hecate copyed her act, Colliding Magic with Magic. It was like something Hecate had never experienced before. The Magic came together in an onslaught of light. Both Powering and draining her Magic. She noticed how stiff Juile was becoming.. The Stone was hindering her with every Magical outburst. All Hecate had to do.. Was try and keep it going. And try she did, it was like a game of tug of war. The Magic Colliding in the middle was wavering between the two of them. Hecates eyes flickered to Mildred, seeing her starting to stand up, her eyes trained on Hecate, Worry Covering them.
"ENOUGH!" Juile screamed, echoing around the Forest, She moved one hand, aiming to throw her attack towards the unsuspecting Mildred. Without thinking, Hecate transferred herself to the other side, placed right in front of Mildred. However, when she raised her hand to onslaught the attack, it hit her straight into her arms. Pulsating though as if she'd been burned. The Clothing covering her arms rippled in strands from the magic power hitting her at such force.
It was a pain like she had never felt. Pulsating, aching, it took her breath away and rendered her sightless.. She fell to her knees.. All she could hear was ringing, and distant voices that sounded like something out of a dream..
Before the darkness could claim her completely, she thought how wonderful it'd be.. To hear Mildred say she loved her just one last time, and to maybe get to return it..
Rip Hecate i guess.. Onto the next Chapter!
