We continue our story of "Cooper's creed 2 Brotherhood" with the 6th chapter with the aid of both Jasmine and Aria, the boys MIGHT have a chance at taking on the walking manifestation of arachnophobia herself, the Contessa and will stop at nothing to find out where she's keeping Carmelita, Nick, Mario and Neyla, will the family be reunited?
But with that being said
LET'S BEGIN
Chapter 6 A tangled web
(2 weeks later, Sly's P.O.V)
"After two weeks, we finally cornered the Contessa and it's WELL passed time for some payback after she escaped us at the prison and thanks to Aria's help we found out that she's hiding at her castle estate, it's just like Aria described it, a well-fortified, gothic nightmare, that would make even the bravest of souls run in terror, terrible or not, that's where we're heading…to sweeten the deal, we learned that the Contessa who until recently was a secret member of the Klaww gang is in possession of the Clockwerk eyes, according to the Thievius Raccoonus, the Clockwerk eyes are described being so powerful that they can stop opponents dead in their tracks with a single glance, it doesn't take a genius to figure out what an accomplished, hypnotist could do with such POWERFUL artifacts, news of the Contessa's corruption had spread through the ranks of Interpol faster than a wildfire and let's just say they were…less than happy, so Carmelita and Nick's captain, Barkly took it upon himself and hired an army of local mercenaries to wage war on the Contessa and bring her in…speaking of Mercenaries, Bentley and Aria did some DEEP digging and sound out that terminator, the guy who caused ALL this, his real name is Slate, a former Black ops soldier turned mercenary who killed or captured some of the most dangerous bounties in the world and took contracts for the highest bitter, according to the genius's the job he took BEFORE Contessa came to him he made a hundred and fifty BILLION dollars and he certainly had the record to prove his skill, he's never let any of his "prey" get away from him, not a single, failed mission and he cut down ANY who got in the way of his bounty the man was a living, emotionless killing machine who only cares about the money he makes, it looks like were walking into an all-out war, but we have to find out where the Contessa is holding Carmelita, Nick, Uncle Mario…and my beloved Neyla and STOP whatever her plans are and we better do fast before things go from bad to worse"

After setting up shop, Sly was about to head out before
"Sly…take this" Bentley said as he handed Sly a second Hidden blade, for his right forearm
"Another Hidden blade" Sly asked
"Mario wanted to give this to you himself after the Rajan job, he asked me to build it, but he didn't get the chance before he was taken…use it well" Bentley said as Sly slipped it on his right forearm
"I will, thanks pal" Sly replied before he went out to gather information, once in position, Bentley called on the earpiece
"Okay, Sly, here's what we know, the Contessa has the Clockwerk eye's and her prisoners stashed around here somewhere, even if we do find them it's gonna be tough to get at them both" Bentley said
"Good thing we got backup" Sly said
"Agreed, Jasmine and Aria's aid has been invaluable these last couple of weeks" Bentley said
"Anything else you found out" Sly asked
"Yeah turns out that Carmelita and Nick's boss, Captain Barkly is here in Prague and he's hired local mercenaries to aid in taking the Contessa down, which are patrolling the grounds around here but as to what we're gonna do to get through this, you're gonna have to sneak around and take some recon photo's so we can formulate a game plan then, once you get enough pictures outside, your gonna have to make your way up to the Contessa's re-education tower" Bentley said, Sly then looked at the menacing-looking tower
"Looks…pleasant enough" Sly muttered
"Oh, and stay clear of the tanks patrolling around, you know, so you don't end up blown apart into little, stick pieces" Bentley added
"Once again, you state the obvious, have you ever noticed that people say things that you shouldn't do with the thought that you going to do it on purpose" Sly asked
"Just get going" Bentley replied as they hung up, Sly shook his head before he set out Synu and used Eagle vision to get a good look at his surroundings, after words he took off, first was a picture of a boat
"The Contessa has these boats patrolling the waterways around her estate against Barkly's army…they could be useful to get around the place by water" Bentley said
"Beats getting wet and cold" Sly muttered before getting a shot at the same blimp that the Contessa used to escape the prison
"That looks familiar, I bet it can be used to our advantage, make it easier to get around these high towers" Bentley said
"Better than climbing and risk falling to my death" Sly said before he got a shot at an old bank that Barkly's tanks were patrolling around
"Looks like Barkly is using that old bank as an H.Q" Bentley said
"It's a good, defensible position and in the center of these patrolling tanks" Sly said, next was one of the Contessa's tanks patrolling around her estate
"The Contessa's all geared up for war, just our luck" Bentley said
"Well, it wouldn't be a challenge if she left the fortress unguarded, where's the challenge in that" Sly asked
"Alright Sly, head up to the…re-education tower, I suspect that's where we'll find the Clockwerk eyes" Bentley said
"And hopefully a lead to our missing family members" Sly replied before making his way to the menacing-looking tower, after getting past a BUNCH of guards on patrol, Sly got there but since the door was locked from the inside, he had to improvise his way up to the window of the tower and entered
(In the re-education tower)
Once inside, Sly saw the Contessa and with her…Carmelita AND Nick, Carmelita was strapped to a machine, looking like Contessa was trying to brainwash her from a nearby terminal while Neyla was in a cage along with Mario AND Neyla both being held against their wills
"Bentley…there's more than just the Clockwerk eyes up here" Sly called through the earpiece
"You don't mean" Bentley was about to ask
"Yeah…they're HERE" Sly answered
"Why are you doing this Contessa, WHY" Carmelita asked Contessa, trying her hardest to fight off Contessa's attempts to brainwash her
"Because dear…you're a smart one, both you and constable Nick are, you see, by chasing after Cooper, you both learned too much about the Klaww gang and it's spice operations, it was only a matter of time before one or both of you would find out that I was a secret member so when my friend Slate gave me a chance to get rid of you I took it" Contessa told answered
"You BITCH" Neyla said
"You're a disgrace to Interpol, I'll make it my life's work to destroy you" Carmelita stated in anger
"MINE TO" Neyla agreed
"DAMN RIGHT" Nick added
"Oh, please Neyla, you are in no position to make threats and as for you Nick for such a respectable Interpol agents, you and Carmelita certainly have your fair share of secrets, I am not alone in that department" Contessa said
"What does that supposed to mean" Carmelita asked
(Get ready for a shocker here)
"You allowed Cooper to escape you two years ago in Russia while Nick, you should have joined your father, Slate in the mercenary business, you would have made a good mercenary" Contessa said
"WHAT" Carmelita, Mario and Neyla asked at the same time
*WHAT* Sly asked in his head
"WHAT" Sly heard Bentley, Murray, Jasmine and Aria shout from the other end of his earpiece, they were so loud he had to take the earpiece out of his ear since it was ringing a little, he then put it back in after a few seconds
"Slate…the man who PUT US here…is your FATHER" Neyla asked
"He's NOT MY FATHER…he's just the man who knocked up my mother then LEFT us before I was even BORN without even so much as batting an eye or having a second thought…that man is nothing to me" Nick said
"Still, your dad is a mercenary" Neyla asked
"No offence, but that's funny considering you're a woman who was once a cop and gave up your badge for a criminal…not to mention a thief AND assassin" Nick replied
"Hmm…fair point" Neyla replied
"As for your life's work to destroy me children, it won't last much longer, once I integrate the Clockwerk eyes into this device, all four of your life's works will be whatever I tell you" Contessa told them
"I won't be brainwashed so easily" Carmelita said
"And you BETTER be ready for an ass kicking when WE GET OUT OF HERE" Neyla added
"You will NEVER success WITCH, when my nephew and his friends find you then you will be SORRY" Mario said
"Especially when you messed with his uncle AND the woman he loves" Neyla added
"What, you think that your precious raccoon will come charging in on a white horse to save you all" Contessa asked the two
"Without a SINGLE doubt in my mind" Mario answered
"When Sly get's his hands on you, your gonna be praying for death before he through with you" Neyla added
"Let him come, this place is a total fortress and as for your brainwashing, your right, it won't be easy or painless, but I will reprogram your mind and you will take the fall for me at Interpol, now dear Carmelita, just seat back and relax, go to your happy place…and stay there…forever" Contessa said in confidence
"You forget we'll not go so easily" Mario said
"And we'll be kicking, screaming and fighting every step of the way, SLY WILL COME FOR US" Carmelita repeated
"Please, you hate him, why believe that he will save you" Contessa asked
"I don't hate him, just what he does, but I also know that when a member of his gang is taken…then nothing on God's green EARTH will stop him from tracking you down…and END you" Carmelita said
"Indeed, he will, he won't stop until he searches under every rock and check every shadow, to the ends of the Earth itself until he finds us" Mario said
*TELL EM UNCLE* Sly said in his head
"I don't think they've seen you, take the photos and get out of there" Bentley told Sly over the earpiece
"NO, I gotta help them, they're in serious trouble here" Sly replied
"There's nothing you can do for them now, take the recon photos and come back to the safehouse" Sly told him
"Bentley, it's my UNCLE, my LAST living relative on the planet, not to mention the LOVE OF MY LIFE and two GOOD cops" Sly answered
"Sly, you said you trusted me once and I've never done anything to make you think that trust was ill-placed, have I" Bentley asked him, Sly paused before answering
"No" Sly answered
"Then, trust me now, I swear on my life, we'll find a way to help all of them, but I'm gonna need those recon photos to do it" Bentley told him, Sly hatted the thought of leaving the two cops, his uncle and his lover at the mercy of the Contessa even if it WAS temporary but, Bentley was right, they needed a plan, so he took some shots, first of Carmelita in the old Iron tech 250
"Interesting, Carmelita is restrained in an old, Iron-tech two-fifty…medieval but affective" Bentley said
"Think you can crack it" Sly asked
"I'll think of something" Bentley answered, next was the Clockwerk eyes
"THE CLOCKWERK EYES, they seem to be routed through that control-board, get a shot at that consul so I can decipher its make" Bentley said
"Got it" Sly replied before he got a shot at the Shadow guards
"Just like at the prison, those are the Shadow guards driving them out will be a tough challenge" Bentley said
"We've faced tougher odds" Sly said before he got a shot at what the Clockwerk eyes were routed into, a Mind shuffler
"That's…THAT'S A MIND SHUFFLER" Bentley said in shock
"A WHAT" Sly asked
"A Mind shuffler…I didn't believe they were real…it's made of equal part science and BLACK MAGIC…indestructible to conventional weapons" Bentley said
"That sounds like one dangerous machine" Sly said
"One of the most dangerous machines ever created by man if we don't find a way to destroy it" Bentley said
"What" Sly asked, knowing he WASN'T gonna like the answer
"It'll rewrite the memories and minds of Mario, the cops…and NEYLA, they'll become the Contessa's puppets, who knows, she may even make it so they don't even REMEMBER who they are or who WE are" Bentley answered
"Then put that brain to work in figuring out a way to STOP that" Sly replied before he got a shot at an old terminal
"That old terminal should be hard-wired into the systems in this tower" Bentley said
"Find a way to bring it online Bentley, we could make good usage out of it" Sly said
"You got it, Sly but those are all the photos I need, head back to the safehouse and we'll get a plan together" Bentley said, before Bentley left he looked back at his family members and cops
"I swear, I'll be back guys…just HOLD ON" Sly muttered as he left and went back to the safehouse, where Bentley laid it down

"The supposed "war" between Barkly and the Contessa has put the castle on high alert, to get at the Clockwerk eyes, we'll need to subtly manipulate this conflict to our advantage, thanks to information from Aria, we know that the head of castle security is here, Murray, I'm gonna need you to sneak into the castle and kidnap him…I wanna ask him a few questions…meanwhile, Jasmine, you, me and Sly are going to get a little paranormal, I'll slip into the crypts beneath the castle and put together a bad mojo bomb, it should be enough to destroy the mind shuffler, as for you and Sly, Jasmine you two capture a few, local ghosts and then drop them into Barkly's headquarters, hopefully the near-death experience will inspire him to purchase more mercenary firepower…we've all got our assignments…good luck and be safe out there"

First up was Bentley, who geared up and snuck into the castle to where his bad mojo bomb was supposed to be
(Inside the crypt)
Once Bentley was in position, Aria then contacted him
"That's it, Bentley, my aunt's bad mojo collector to transfer the overflow from her Mind shuffler" Aria said
"A semi-magical device that sucks up bad mojo energy, your aunt is devious" Bentley said
"You don't know even the HALF of it" Aria replied
"I'll need it to gather to runout from these spouts" Bentley answered
"Which won't be easy" Aria said
"Agreed, bad mojo is a POWERFULLY, dark force, take any damage when carrying that stuff around…and I'm as good as done for" Bentley replied
"But you can fight, right" Aria asked
"I'm more tech-savvy than physically" Bentley answered
"Then, it's a good thing that the catacombs of the castle have something that can help you" Aria said
"Which is" Bentley asked
"They're outfitted with death traps you know for those unexpected guests" Aria said
"Genius, I can use them against any foe that might attempt to thwart my collection of the ectoplasm" Bentley stated
"You sure you can handle something like that Bentley" Aria asked
"I promised Sly I would do everything in my power to help Contessa's captives…I once swore that I would do whatever it took to break you and the others out of the Contessa's prison…I'm keeping my word to Sly, once I collect the runoff from all, four locations, that should be enough to destroy the mind shuffler" Bentley stated
"Good luck Bentley" Aria replied before Bentley picked up the bad mojo bomb, it took everything he had to get through all four gauntlets to collect the mojo energy he needed, but Bentley pulled through
"Alright, with this much bad mojo energy, we should have plenty of power to destroy the mind shuffler and blow the Clockwerk eyes clean off the machine" Bentley stated before making his escape from the crypt
(Outside)
Once outside, Bentley made his way back to the safehouse and stored the bomb somewhere safe, where it won't accidentally go off, next up was both Sly and Jasmine who got into position near a burial crypt and Bentley contacted them
"Alright Sly, there's yours and Jasmine's new objective, sneak inside and smash the coffin of the evil, wolf priestess" Bentley said
"I would say it seems a little harsh to do that to a person's resting place but in this case…I'll make an acceptation" Jasmine replied
"Glade, you think so, now, be careful in there, no doubt there's gonna be a few death traps, once the coffin is smashed, it'll free all the ghosts trapped in there with her" Bentley said
"Okay, I don't know where you're going with this but freeing a bunch of trapped ghosts sounds heroic enough" Sly replied before Sly and Jasmine made their way inside of the crypt
(In the crypt)
After getting inside and getting past some diabolical traps until they found the coffin of the wolf priestess
"Look, I know that this lady was evil but…doesn't it feel a little…WRONG to be doing this, messing with a person's final resting place" Sly asked Jasmine
"Somewhat, but without this we probably can't reach your uncle, lover or the cops being held hostage" Jasmine replied, Sly then unsheathed his Rapier and then stuck the tip of the blade in-between the coffin and the lid
"Well…this is gonna be one hell of a wakeup call" Sly said before he brought his fist down on the swords opposite end and broke open the coffin which released the ghosts
"WHOA" Sly and Jasmine shouted as the ghosts flew around them before flying outside, Sly then picked up his blade and sheathed it
"Remind me NEVER to watch any ghost movies or TV shows ever again after this mission" Jasmine said
"I'm for that, sister" Sly replied
"Excellent work guys, now just head outside then I'll fill you both in on step two" Bentley called before the two made their way outside
(Outside)
Once outside, Bentley then contacted the two
"Alright, I've outfitted the imager in your binocucom's to capture ghosts" Bentley said
"Hold up, we just freed these guys, why would we wanna capture them again" Jasmine asked
"Not to worry, it's only a temporary confinement, gather all the ghosts then set them free down the smock stack in Barkly's headquarters" Bentley answered
"I don't know about this, I mean Barkly is Carmelita and Nick's boss, I don't wanna give the guy a heart attack or a stroke" Sly said
"I know you're a little resistant to this plan but if we wanna get into the re-education tower and save Contessa's captives while taking her down…you have to trust me on this one" Bentley said
"Sly…you want to help them, don't you" Jasmine asked, he paused for a second or two
"If it's to get our friends and family out and get some payback on that eight-legged bitch then I'm on it" Sly said
"Excellent, now if I did my math right and I" Bentley was about to say
"ALWAYS DO YOUR MATH RIGHT" Sly said
"Um…YEAH…Barkly should respond to this "sneak attack" from the Contessa by purchasing more mercenary firepower" Bentley stated
"And anything bad for the Contessa is good for us" Jasmine said
"You catch on quick" Sly said before hanging up, the two separated and together they captured all ten of the ghosts, even thought they were a bit tricky to pin down, but the two men got them and went to Barkly's H.Q
"Sorry about this Barkly" Sly muttered before dropping the container for the ghosts down Barkly chimney, after that was done Barkly came running out
"WHAT THE HELL, GHOSTS…oh, so the Contessa wants war, huh, perhaps it's time I purchase a little air power, a few air bombers should put that eight-legged traitor in her place" Barkly stated, Sly and Jasmine's work was done, and they headed back to the safehouse before Murray went out to do his job, Bentley then contacted him
"Murray, do you see the general from up there" Bentley asked, Murray then looked around and saw an old bat guard
"Nope, just some old man coming up the ramp" Murray answered, Aria then punched in
"Don't let his appearance fool you Murray, that's General Clawfoot and he's one of the toughest, old soldiers you'll ever meet…not to mention, head of castle security" Aria said
"Wow, how long's he been doing this" Murray asked
"I asked him that when I once visited the castle as a little girl, he told me he served in two wars before retiring and he's been on my aunt's payroll as the head of her estate's security for the last FORTY years" Aria answered
"Wow, THAT is impressive but, what if he doesn't wanna come…I don't wanna hurt em" Murray said
"I wouldn't worry about that factor Murray, he once told me that he's only afraid of two things, fire and water, other than that you couldn't hurt him even if you wanted to" Aria answered
"Alright just get ready to have company" Murray said before he quickly grabbed Clawfoot, he managed to get him out of the castle and got him back to the safehouse where Aria came out sporting a new outfit, around her waist was a mechanics belt filled with mechanical tools and on her head was a visor rigged with multiple lenses
"General Clawfoot" Aria said as she kneeled to Clawfoot's level
"UGH, wh-what" Clawfoot asked before his vision focused on Aria
"WAIT…I KNOW you" Clawfoot said
"Remember me, Aria" Aria asked, Clawfoot's eyes widened
"Little Aria…my STARS, last time I saw you, you were small enough to bounce on my knee" Clawfoot said
"Yeah" Aria said
"Wh-why are you here, the Contessa didn't mention ANYTHING about you coming here" Clawfoot said
"Clawfoot…we need to talk" Aria said before she brought Clawfoot inside and managed to talk him into giving her the information using some charm and a little bit of cunning, after getting the information that the gang needed, it was time for a slide show

"Alright ladies and gents, time to get down to business, the efforts to spark a war between Barkly and the Contessa have gone well, we're down to the final stretch before we spring our trap, thanks to Aria, I've learned about a voice modulator hidden in the Contessa's castle, Sly, you and Jasmine are in charge of stealing them, once you got em and plant it under Barkly's headquarters, if all goes well, we should be able to give orders to his mercenaries, without being detected, unfortunately, Barkly's recent purchase of aerial firepower have made his mercenary group overenthusiastic and they might strike before were ready, which leads me to Murray, I need you to steal one of the Contessa's tanks and go to town on the mercenaries, we just need to intimidate them a little and finally, I'll venture back into the crypts and work on powering up that old terminal in the re-education tower, we're gonna need it on-line to save not only our family member but also Carmelita and Nick, alright, LET'S MOVE OUT"

Murray felt confident enough to take his assignment first, once at the location, Bentley contacted him
"Alright Murray, we need your help on this one, Barkly's forces are getting too confident, and they might attack the castle before we're ready to make a play for the Clockwerk eyes and the Contessa's prisoners" Bentley said
"I get it, so we need you to take out the mercenary tanks" Murray asked
"That's right, we need to intimidate them, make sure they think twice before striking" Bentley explained
"No problem chum, this is gonna be FUN" Murray replied
"You'll need to take out all six of the mercenary tanks to get the job done, you up to it" Bentley asked
"Do you even HAVE to ask" Murray asked
"Nope…show em what'cha got" Bentley said, Murray then entered through a window that led to one of the Contessa's tanks
"OW, OH…here we go…oh this seats gotta go back farther than THIS" Murray said, after he readjusted the seat, he then powered the tank up and moved out
"OKAY GUYS, I'M IN A TANK" Murray shouted like he was a kid in a candy store, though the tank pilots tried to fight back against Murray, he easily took care of the mercenaries one by one and after taking out six tanks, Murray's job was done
"OH YEAH BABY, THE MURRAY IS THE VICTOR" Murray shouted before he returned the tank to where it was supposed to be, thinking it might be useful later
"GREAT work Murray, that should give us some breathing room to do our thing" Bentley said, after Murray returned the tank, he then went back to the safehouse, next up was Sly and Jasmine, who moved into position and was contacted by Aria
"Sly, Jasmine, according to Bentley, my aunt plans on taking control of Barkly's army, by fooling them with a prototype, voice modulation device, to get the thing working, she'll need to jack it into the satellite lines beneath his headquarters" Aria told the two
"And Bentley wants us to steal the device and hook it up for our side, giving us control over Barkly's mercenary army, right" Jasmine asked
"You got it" Aria answered
"I LIKE IT" Sly stated
"You two will need to pickpocket a few keys, here and there to gain access to the more secure areas of the castle" Aria told them as they spotted the guards carrying the keys, not too far from their position
"If there's pockets to be picked, we're on the job" Sly said
"Excellent, first, steal a wire-tap and then the voice modulator, after that head for the sewers beneath Barkly's headquarters and insert the device" Aria told them
"Ten-four" Sly replied before he hung up, Sly and Jasmine moved out, it was easy to get at the two keys, after that, they headed to the location that Aria sent them and broke in
(Inside the castle)
After getting inside the castle and past the heavily guarded room, Sly and Jasmine took the wire-tap
"That's the first piece" Jasmine said before Sly saw something else on a nearby table, it was a square-shaped device that looked like something was supposed to shoot out of it
"What is it" Jasmine asked as Sly walked over to the device and took it and examined it
"I have no idea…but I feel like I wanna find out" Sly said
"Let's figure that out later, shall we" Jasmine asked
"Right, let's go" Sly said before they got past the guards without being seen and got outside
(Outside)
After getting outside, Sly examined the device
"Hmm, I wonder what this thing does" Sly said before
"HAULT" A flashlight guard shouted, making both Sly and Jasmine jump before Sly accidentally pressed a button on the device and then two, thin wires shot out of the device and penetrated the flashlight guard before generating electricity from the device into the guard
"GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" The flashlight guard moaned and stuttered as the electricity coursed through his body and made his body do some funny dances (Like when Gru danced funnily when Lucy tazed him with her lipstick taser in "Despicable me 2" that's what the flashlight guard did) after words he fell unconscious on the ground with his body sizzling and twitching before the two wires retracted into the device, Sly and Jasmine then slowly turned their heads to each other before bursting out laughing after a few seconds they composed themselves
"So, THAT'S what it does" Sly said
"A taser shooter, now THAT could come in handy" Jasmine said
"Both for technical usage and…for humorous reasons" Sly said as he attached it to the bottom of his right forearm, now they needed the two keys for the location of the voice modulator, which they easily took and went to the location to swipe it, with both devices in hand and pickpocketing the sewer entrance keys from a couple of guards, the two made their way to the sewer entrance way, they easily snuck in beneath Barkly's H.Q
(Sewers under Barkly's H.Q)
After Sly and Jasmine got to the other end, they spotted where some of the Contessa's men already started digging to find the wire to the loudspeaker
"Bentley, you there" Sly called over the earpiece
"Right here" Bentley answered
"Lady luck is looking down on us today, the Contessa's men have already excavated Barkly's satellite cable, how should we proceed" Sly asked through the earpieces
"Splice in the wire-tap then attach the voice modulator, I'll broadcast from the safehouse to make sure it works, this is gonna be SO COOL" Bentley stated, after attaching the two devices onto the cable, Bentley tested the thing as Sly and Jasmine got out of the area
(On the surface)
"Uhh, hello mercenary tank forces…would you mind spinning your turrets for me" Bentley spoke through the megaphone on top of Barkly's H.Q, first with his normal voice then the sound shifted to sound like Barkly
"Oh, this is cool, I, I mean…you are all very cool…carry on men" Bentley stated

"They have their moments" Sly said before he and Jasmine made it back to the safehouse, finally Bentley was up last as he moved out and got into position

Once Bentley was inside one of the crypts, Sly contacted him
"Alright, Sly I'm in position" Bentley said
"According to the blueprints Clawfoot gave us there are three terminals down there that link up to the terminal in the Re-education tower" Sly said
"And I'll need to hack them all to get it up and working" Bentley said
"Which bring us to a slight hiccup…how are you gonna hack the computers down there when they got no power" Sly asked him
"According to the information from General Clawfoot, there's a portable power source at the end of this hallway" Bentley answered
"Hallway is putting it lightly, from where I'm seating, it looks more like a complex, medieval gauntlet of death" Sly replied
"Yes, well…while the idea of jumping down a crypt filled with whirling…razor sharp spikes might scare me, in fact terrorize every fiber of my being, it's the only way to power up that old terminal in the re-education tower, without that thing online, there's no chance we're gonna get at the Clockwerk eyes or free the Contessa's prisoners…which if you need a reminder includes your uncle and Neyla" Bentley told him
"You're a good man Bentley, a real good man, just watch your tail and try not to get turned into ground up turtle meat" Sly told him
"WHY, OH WHY did you have to say that" Bentley asked him, despite Sly's words, Bentley got through the gauntlet and got to the mobile power source, putting it on his back
"A-HA, this acid battery should be JUST the ticket, I just walk close to an electrode and BINGO…prepare to be hacked, you nave" Bentley said before he started hacking the computer after it powered up when he got near it, the first was a cake walk
(In the re-education tower)
In the tower, Carmelita was holding on strong despite being bombarded with the waves from Contessa's hypnosis rays
"Sly will come for us, Contessa" Carmelita told her
"UH, how many times must you say it, it's impossible for him or his pathetic friends to reach us, it WON'T…happen" Contessa told her
"You don't know him like we do Contessa, my nephew WILL find a way" Mario said
"And when we're out of these restraints, you'll GET YOURS" Neyla said
"And I'm gonna take a CRACK at you MYSELF" Nick added
"I'll get you, I'll get you" Contessa mocked
"WE'RE DEAD serious, he WILL COME FOR US" Neyla growled
"DAMN RIGHT SHE IS" Carmelita said
"Yes, yes, so I've heard" Contessa replied as she continued to work, meanwhile the terminal powered up a bit
(Back with Bentley)
"One down, two to go" Bentley stated before he backtracked through the gauntlet of traps, until he got to the second computer, which he hacked with little trouble
(Re-education tower)
"Hmm, maybe I should approach this through your id, instead of your conscious mins, it might help to get around your super ego" Contessa stated
"If you wanna talk about an ego, try looking at your friend Rajan" Neyla said
"Yeah, didn't think someone like you would throw your lot in with a guy who tries to buy his way into royalty, how pathetic" Nick said
"I agree" Mario said
"Oh SILENCE" Contessa said
"MAKE US" Nick snapped back
"Oh I will…believe me I WILL" Contessa replied, meanwhile as like last time another power node on the old terminal powered up

"Okay, only one more computer and I can get out of here" Bentley stated as he once again avoided the deadly traps and made it to the finale computer, he then hacked through it, despite being extremely, well protected and succeeded
(Re-education tower)
"Carmelita, why fight it…don't you want to be my friend" Contessa asked Carmelita
"No, you eight-legged BITCH, NO" Carmelita snapped
"THAT'S TELLING HER CARM" Nick said
"You have your hands full Contessa, Carmelita's will is STRONG" Mario said
"And what makes you think she's that strong willed" Contessa asked
"Because if she wasn't she couldn't keep up with my nephew, I believe her to be a worthy opponent and one that I RESPECT for being a cop that can't be bought or corrupted…that's what a cop is supposed to be, loyal to the creed they swore to" Mario said, Carmelita couldn't help but smirk hearing Mario say such things about her, him an assassin of all things and a wanted criminal saying that he respected her for her determination and that she was a cop that couldn't be swayed, it meant a lot to her on a personal level
*Hmm, maybe that criminal isn't as bad as i thought they were* Carmelita said in her head
"NOT…for long, you old FOOL" Contessa said, meanwhile, the terminal finally powered up and Bentley went back to the safehouse and started to explain the plan for the heist

"Alright everyone, it's time to storm the castle, take the Clockwerk eyes and save our friends and family, well take advantage of the confusion in a plan I like to call "Operation: High-road", here's the plan, first Murray will shut down the castle gate spotlights, using the codes provided by general Clawfoot, then with the help of the voice modulator, I'll order Barkly's forces to attack, Sly will then glide us over to the Contessa's blimp and we'll use it to get inside her re-education tower, due to the assault on the castle, I'm sure the Shadow guards will be sent to aid the other guards and leave the tower, once I'm in there, I'll hack the terminal to release Carmelita and Nick, with luck the two will drive out the Contessa, with them gone, I'll plant the bad mojo bomb and PRESTO, the Clockwerk eyes are ours, Jasmine, Aria you two will be on standby just in-case we need some assistance so if you all are ready, let's get this show on the road"

"Whoa, hold on here, I like the plan Bentley but…HOW am I supposed to glide" Sly asked
"Well, I WAS gonna save this as a surprise for your birthday next month…but I doubt either the Contessa or we have the time to wait, so HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY" Bentley told Sly as he unfolded what looked like a parachute with an eagle symbol on the top
"What is that" Bayek asked
"A paraglider, I made it myself, super light fabric to catch strong winds, useful for getting around, very compactable, easy to carry, easy to access and easy to deployment, just pull it out and hang on tight" Bentley explained as he rolled up the paraglider and threw it to Sly
"Hmm…nice job Bentley, always thinking ahead I see" Sly said
"Don't I ALWAYS" Bentley asked
"You might wanna take this with you to" Jasmine told Sly as she tossed him something
"What are these" Sly asked
"Shibuya or "Rope darts" you familiar with them" Jasmine asked
"Oh yeah…thanks, let's move out" Sly told his team before they separated to do their jobs and Murray moved up to the front gates to put in the codes
"Arian, I hope that General was telling the truth, or this is gonna get ugly" Murray called through the earpiece
"He swears they are" Aria answered as Murray typed in the code and it worked, the spotlights were shut down
"OH YEAH, the lights are down, Bentley, call in the cavalry, I'll see if I can find some extra firepower to help out" Murray called through the earpieces

On the top of the castle, the two got Murray's go word
"Okay Bentley…sound the charge" Sly told Bentley who spoke through the voice modulator device
"Attention bloodthirsty mercenary forces, the castle defenses are down, seize this opportunity for aggressive military actions by pressing an attack on the castle, CHARGE, FOR VICTORY, FOR GLORY" Bentley pretended to be Barkly and the mercenary group was on the attack
"I have ALWAYS wanted to say that" Bentley said
"Now if you're done being a warmonger, you ready to rescue the others" Sly asked
"Just be sure to grab onto that rope hanging from the blimp, I don't wanna drawn" Bentley replied as he hanged onto Sly's back
"What are you complaining about, you're a turtle, turtles swim" Sly asked
"Hmm, you have a good POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOINT" Bentley shouted as Sly jumped, Sly used his glider to get to the blimp, there, they encountered two guards
"GOODBYE" Sly shouted as he did a push kick that sent the first guard off the blimp before the second one tried to attack Sly only for Sly to grab the guards attacking arm and Sly lift up his left knee to hit the guard in his right ribs, forcing him to let go of his spiked mace, Sly then pushed the guard away from himself with his left leg before Sly swung with all his might and hit the guard under his chin so hard, he went flying off the blimp and Bentley redirected the blimp to go to the re-education tower, they disembarked the blimp and headed into the tower

Once inside Sly and Bentley spotted the Contessa talking to her Shadow guards
"WHAT…the castle is under attack, all of you GO, defend this tower to the last man" Contessa told her Shadow guard who went to do what they were told before getting back to work on brainwashing Carmelita
"Sounds like Sly and his gang DID get in here after all" Neyla told Contessa
"That's my nephew" Mario said with pride
"A minor setback, I still have time to finish with your readjustments" Contessa replied as she continued working on her terminal
"Let me out of here and I'll readjust your face" Carmelita told her
"Save a PIECE for me" Nick said
"Okay buddy, the Shadow guards are out of the picture, ready for a daring rescue" Sly sked Bentley
"Affirmative, the system for Carmelita's restrains should be in this old terminal somewhere" Bentley replied before working his magic, it took him a couple of minutes to get at it, but he got past the firewalls and the security systems to free Carmelita
"That should do the trick" Bentley said as the shackles for the Iron tech 250 unlocked and Carmelita slipped out without the Contessa noticing it, she then spotted the keys on a nearby table and moved to unlock Nick from his bonds before the two grabbed their shock pistols from the table
"There, I've isolated the brain pattern…you all and me are about to become the best of friends" Contessa said in cockiness
"Okay "new best friend" HANDS UP and I mean all of them" Carmelita told her
"YOU HEARD THE LADY" Nick added
"Oh please, you two, you both really should" Contessa was about to say as she turned to face Carmelita and Nick with their shock pistols and gasped
"SHADOW GUARD, SHADOW GUARD" Contessa yelled as she ran for her life
"GET AFTER HER" Carmelita shouted as she and Nick ran after Contessa
"GET BACK HERE YOU BITCH, I GOT A SHOCK BOLT WITH YOUR NAME ON IT" Nick shouted as she and Carm chased after her, the gate to the higher level then opened as Sly and Bentley jumped down
"Top floor, beautiful ladies in destress in need of rescue" Sly said
"SLY/NEPHEW" Neyla and Mario shouted at the same time, Sly then broke the two out to which the three embraced each other
"NEPHEW, oh thank the ancestors you're okay" Mario said before Sly and Neyla shared a kiss they haven't had in a LONG time
"You okay uncle" Sly asked
"Please, this old man still has some fight left in him" Mario said
"And you, love" Sly asked Neyla
"More than…a couple of guards tried to get more than a little handsy with me…so I returned the savor and made it so they couldn't use their hands for a couple of weeks" Neyla replied
"Ha, ha…that's my tiger queen" Sly said before they kissed again
"Good to see you again, sir" Bentley told Mario as they shook hands
"You to Bentley are you two a sight for these soar, old eyes" Mario replied
"I felt so lonely without you my love" Sly told Neyla
"Me to" Neyla replied as they hugged each other
"What about Rajan" Mario asked
"Can't be much deader than having your heart ripped out and fed to you" Sly answered
"Whoa…REALLY" Mario asked
"Why go so far" Neyla asked
"What he wanted to do to YOU…it made my blood boil like lava" Sly replied
"Enough said" Neyla said
"But, where's that BASTARD SLATE" Sly asked
"Don't know, we haven't seen him since he brought us here weeks ago" Mario answered
"Look, I'm sorry to cut these pleasantries short, but we ARE on a time limit here" Bentley said as he moved to the mind shuffler
"Agreed, get that bomb in place" Sly told Bentley as he went to plant the bomb
"Bomb" Neyla asked
"Bomb" Mario asked
"A bad mojo bomb, it'll knock the Clockwerk eyes out of that control board and bingo, they're ours" Sly told them
"Just be sure you all back away, this thing might have a LARGER blast then anticipated" Bentley warned them
"Meaning, in the words of the immortal James Brown…GET DOWN" Sly shouted as he, Mario and Neyla took cover behind a solid surface and Bentley joined them before BOOM, covering the whole place in red smoke
"Uncle, Neyla, you two okay" Sly asked
"I'm fine" Neyla answered
"Me as well" Mario answered
"BENTLEY, YOU OKAY" Sly called out
"This is no place for an asthmatic…but I've located one of the Clockwerk eyes, can one of you guys find the other" Bentley called out before
"Don't worry brainiac, it's safely in hand" A new voice called out, the smoke cleared to show Slate A.K.A "Terminator" with the other Clockwerk eye in his armor and a poncho
"SLATE" Sly growled as he drew his bow and knocked back an arrow, aiming at the man who broke his family apart
"So, you KNOW my name" Slate said
"And I HAVEN'T forgotten what you DID in fact what I'm gonna do to you, your gonna WISH you killed us after catching us" Sly said, not letting his eyes off of Slate for even a SECOND
"Hmm, doesn't matter, in-fact I SHOULD thank you for clearing out the Contessa, nothing that brainless Barkley did could flush her out or peel her away from the Clockwerk eyes, so here when I thought that I would have to come up with a plan to take the eyes for myself…but then you guys show up and did all the dirty work for me" Slate replied
"I thought the Contessa hired you to work with her" Neyla said
"FOR her, not WITH her, I'm a mercenary, pussycat, we work for whoever pays us the most" Slate said
"So, someone's made you a better offer" Mario asked
"Now you're getting it" Slate said
"By WHO" Mario asked
"None of your damn business old man" Slate answered
"Why are you doing this, what did we ever do to you" Sly asked him
"It's nothing personal Cooper…it's business, it's all just business, but I've wasted enough time here, enjoy this reunion while you can Cooper adios" Slate told them as he made a break for it
"Bentley get to the blimp, I'm going after Slate" Sly told Bentley before giving chase
"NOT WITHOUT ME YOUR NOT" Neyla yelled as she and Sly ran after Slate
"But THE PLAN…this WASN'T in the plan" Bentley said before he sighed
"Out voted, I see" Mario said
"A well-placed plan usually IS, come on sir, we need to get to the blimp" Bentley told Mario as they took the first Clockwerk eye and the two left the tower
(Outside)
Meanwhile outside Slate ran from Sly and Neyla who gave chase to him
"Attention all bombers, the Contessa is making her escape in her blimp, SHOOT IT OUT OF THE SKY" Slate called from the mega announcer to his air-born forces and somehow, he sounded like Barkly
"Wh-what the…oh hell" Sly muttered before getting on the earpiece
"Heads up Bentley, I don't know how but Slate managed to hack into the voice modulator we used earlier, you and Mario are about to come under fire, get to the blimps turret and STAY SHARP" Bentley called through the earpieces, after the two chased Slate, who was extremely agile and fast through the castle, the two eventually cornered Slate
"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE" Neyla yelled as she and Sly had Slate cornered and moved into secure the Clockwerk eye
"You ain't got nowhere to run now Slate, hand over the eye" Sly told Slate, suddenly Sly felt something coming and he dodged backwards as a web net caught Slate, the other Clockwerk eye went flying to which Sly caught
"Sorry Slate but this is mine" Sly said
"DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE" Slate shouted before he was knocked away by someone, it was the Contessa
"Actually, mister Cooper…the eye belongs to ME" Contessa said
"Damn it" Neyla muttered
(With Bentley and Mario)
"Heads up Bentley, I don't know how but Slate managed to hack into the voice modulator we used earlier, you and Mario are about to come under fire, get to the blimps turret and STAY SHARP" Sly called
"Not good, NOT GOOD" Bentley said
"BENTLEY, FLY THIS THING, I'LL TAKE THE GUNS" Mario said
"Are you SURE sir" Bentley asked
"JUST FLY THE DAMNT HING" Mario replied before he took hold of the turret and started shooting down the bombers
"GREAT SHOOTING SIR" Bentley shouted
"And THAT'S how you do it" Mario said
"That's the last of em, Sly, come in the skies all clear, I'm in route to the rendezvous" Bentley replied, suddenly, something hit the blimps guidance system
"AAH" Bentley yelled
"WHAT THE HELL" Mario shouted before they looked down to see Carmelita
"Oh no you don't Contessa, you're not going ANYWHERE" Carmelita as she continued to shoot at the blimp
"MERCIFUL HADE'S, GUYS, CARMELITA SHOT THE GUIDENCE SYSTEM OF THE BLIMP AND I'M DESCENDING AT AN UNSAFE RATE…I'M GOING DOWN, DOWN, DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN" Bentley yelled as the blimp was crashing down

Sly heard the whole thing on the earpiece
"Bentley…MARIO, ONE OF YOU ANSWER ME" Sly shouted into the earpiece, worried either one or both were hurt
"Friends are such a disappointment, aren't they" Contessa said
"You BITCH, IF MY UNCLE OR BENTLEY IS HURT" Sly said
"Your threats mean NOTHING to me Cooper I do so HATE to repeat myself, that eye belongs to me, and I want it back NOW" Contessa demanded
"No way, do you think I'm crazy, on second thought, don't answer that, I really don't want your professional opinion" Sly told her
"Not crazy, just stupid, you're an ignorant child, playing dress up in his father's legacy, oh, I know all about you and the Cooper clan" Contessa told him
"Then, you'll understand why this eye like the rest of Clockwerk's parts MUST be destroyed" Sly told her
"Short-sighted FOOL, I'm not interested in your narrow interpretation of morality, I'm above all that, above good and evil" Contessa told him
"This bitch is crazy" Neyla said
"Crazy's not a strong enough word for her, you honestly think I'm gonna give the eye over to someone who's ABOVE morality" Sly asked Contessa
"You've got no one to hide behind and no way to escape this time, Contessa, why not come down here and take your ass-kicking by a woman" Neyla
"Give me that eye NOW" Contessa demanded
"The only thing I'll give you is THIS" Sly said as he flipped Contessa the bird
"YOU INSECT, you will pay for that" She told him
"Neyla, go see if you can help Bentley and Mario…I've got this witch" Sly told her
"Are you sure" Neyla asked, Sly then winked at her
"I'm sure, now GO" Sly replied
"Be careful, love" Neyla replied before she left the two
"You want this eye so bad, Contessa…I invite you to try and TAKE IT" Sly said
"Oh, I intend to, besides it will be more fun…when I take the eye from your COLD, DEAD hands" Contessa said as the fight started, Sly took on the Contessa who despite her cowardly tactics was no slouch when it came to fighting, while they were fighting, Sly overheard what was happening on Bentley's side of the earpiece and Carmelita stole the other Clockwerk eye, Sly got the better of the Contessa and knocked her to the ground
"Enough…you've shown me the error of my ways" She said, faking defeat, Sly then shot Contessa through her left wrist
"GAAAAAAAAH" Contessa shouted
"You think I'm really THAT stupid huh, I'm a highly trained ASSASSIN and I've come across my fair share of people who fight dirty" Sly replied
"You RAT" Contessa growled
"You know, it's sad, all that education and you STILL don't know right from wrong" Sly told, thinking he had Contessa cornered before she threw down a flash bomb and it temporarily blinded him before she whacked him away and grabbed the eye with her webbing
"NO" Sly shouted
"Oh…but you are a fool…you should NEVER let your guard down when fighting an intellectually superior opponent" She told him as she went to higher grounds, soon enough Sly's eyesight returned to him before he shook his head
"GRRRRRRRR, Aria, your aunt is making it REALLY difficult for me not to kill her" Sly muttered to himself before he ran after her
(With Carmelita)
Carmelita took the other eye and was trying to get away in a tank
"How does this work, what's this DO and THIS" Carmelita asked herself
"GUYS, HELP, Carmelita took the other Clockwerk eye and she's trying to get away in one of the Contessa's tanks" Bentley called
"Someone STOP HER" Sly called Murray then showed up in the tank he used earlier
"Don't worry guys, I got this one" Murray told them as he used the tank to track down and stop Carmelita in her tracks, he then got the eye and picked up Bentley and Mario before heading to the van where Aria and Jasmine were waiting, meanwhile Sly went after the Contessa for the other eye
(With Sly)
"Everyone's waiting at the van Sly, we're just waiting for you" Murray called through the earpiece as both Sly and the Contessa faced each other on the top of the castle
"Great Murray…this isn't gonna take long…what's the phrase…come into my parlor said the spider to the fly" Sly asked
"A fitting quote to put on your gravestone COOPER" Contessa said
"I was thinking more on the lines of "Nightmare to all criminals" or "Ass-kicker to all crooked men and women" but I won't have to worry about that JUST yet" Sly replied
"Then I will have to CHANGE that" Contessa said
"Look…there's nowhere left to run Contessa, we BOTH know I can beat you in a straight up fight, so why don't you make this easier on yourself just hand over the eye" Sly told Contessa
"You know something…you're right Cooper, in a battle of strength against others such as the late Rajan and past members of the Fiendish five, Muggshot and Panda king you've proven yourself more than a match against physically superior foes…but, with this Clockwerk eye…I can battle you in your MIND and in that regard Cooper…you're not even armed" She replied
"We'll see about that you Charlotte's web knockoff" Sly replied before the two tangled with each other, with the eye in hand, she tried to mess with Sly's mind, but he proved to be very strong mentally as he was physically and knocked some SERIOUS sense into Contessa
"You…you've got a strong mind, Cooper…I'm impressed" Contessa told him
"Comes with years of training, it would have been easier for you to just give me the eye, it would have saved us BOTH the trouble" He told her
"Get it over with then…kill me" Contessa said, expecting him to kill her but Sly remembered his promise to Aria
"As much as I WANT TO for what you put my UNCLE, my FAMILY and my LOVER through…I made someone a promise to let you live" Sly said
"What" Contessa asked
"Well, despite your rude as hell…BEYOND cruel…and so sadistically manipulative nature…someone wants you to live" Sly said
"Who" Contessa asked
"Why don't you ask Aria" Sly answered, the Contessa's eyes widened at his answer
"Aria" Contessa asked
"REMEMBER this act of mercy and NEVER come after my family or commit crime EVER again" Sly said before he knocked her out with his new taser line shooter
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" Contessa screamed before she fell to the ground, unconscious
"Or all deats will be forgotten" Sly said before he took the Clockwerk eye
"An eye for an eye as they would say" Sly said to himself before he felt someone behind him and he knew it wasn't anyone friendly
"Well…I gotta say Cooper" Slate's voice came up from behind Sly who turned to face him
"I didn't think you were such a softy" Slate said
"It's called honor, I'm honoring a promise I made, not that you would understand what that word means" Sly said
"Honor, there is no such thing as HONOR in my line of work, there's just the bounty and what lines we're willing to cross to collect on it" Slate replied
"Including the lives of people unrelated to said target who are standing in your way, you don't care if you have to cut them down" Sly asked
"Without even batting an eye, like I told the old man, you're catching on, now hand over the eye" Slate said
"If the Klaww gang gets their hands on all the Clockwerk parts and finds a way to put em back together then it'll be a nightmare" Sly explained
"Your nightmare perhaps…but not MINE, now, I WON'T repeat myself a third time…hand over the eye" Slate told him as he pointed his duel Heckler and Glock pistols at Sly
"STOP" Nick's voice came from behind Slate, the mercenary and Sly looked to see Nick, shock pistol pointed at Slate
"Well, well, well, I see your as every bit of a sly fox as I remember" Slate said
"DON'T CALL ME THAT, you're under arrest, Slate, drop your weapons and get ON your knees" Nick told his father, Slate then holstered his guns before turning to his son then taking off his helmet showing a possibly 48-year-old fox with black as night fur with a little gray in his hair and amber eyes along with a few scars on his lip, forehead and sides of his face other than those two facts…him and Nick were mirror images of each other
"You honestly thought that it would be THAT easy…just wave your big boy gun around in the air and act tough, boy who do you think you're talking to" Slate asked
"A COWARD, a less than a man piece of SHIT who left my mother when she was pregnant with your child, you RAN instead of taking responsibility for your actions, you USED HER FOR YOUR SICK PLEASURES AND THEN LEFT HER WITHOUT BATTING AN EYE" Nick shouted as Slate put his helmet back on
"And you're willing to fight for this thieving, murdering piece of trash" Slate asked, pointing a thumb at Sly
"Sly has more honor in his FINGER than you do in your whole body…he didn't have to come after me OR Carmelita, but he did" Nick said
"Spare me the lecture, how I fathered such a WEAKLING like you is beyond me" Slate said
"Hey Slate" Sly called, Slate looked at Sly before he moved to the edge of the castle top
"What are you doing" Slate asked
"You want this Clockwerk eye" Sly asked, Slate got an idea of what Sly was gonna do
"Don't you DARE" Slate growled
"THEN GO GET IT" Sly yelled as he motioned to throw the eye out to the body of water behind him
"NO" Slate yelled as he went to stop Sly only for Sly to give up the ruse he was giving and used his rope dart to wrap around Slate and hang him just above the body of water
"You really think I would toss this away after going through ALL this trouble to get it…some mercenary you are" Sly asked
"WHY YOU" Slate growled
"Figured you'd go for it if you thought I was gonna toss the eye, so just HANG around for a bit" Sly said before tying the end of the rope Slate was tied up it to a solid structure then turned to walk away
"Cooper…COOPER…YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS" Slate yelled Sly then walked up to Nick
"So…your dad, huh" Sly asked
"Yeah, you know the saying, you can pick your friends but not your family, right" Nick asked
"You can say that again…so, what now" Sly asked
"Well…seeing as how you saved mine and Carmelita's ass…I guess I owe you" Nick replied
"Hey…what he said…you're NOT weak, you are strong, Nick" Sly told Nick
"Thanks" Nick replied
"Now let's get the hell out of here" Sly said
"I'm all for that, I've had enough horror shit to make me swear off anything REMOTELY related to horror for the next…couple YEARS" Nick replied
"I'm with you on that one…unless it's related to Tim Burton's: A nightmare before Christmas, that one can slide" Sly replied
"Now you're talking my kind of movie" Nick replied before the two got the hell out of dodge

The same mysterious figure watched the whole thing unfold but this time using special spy drones that were the size of fire flies which were video linked to his binoculars and he was taking notes on a notepad
"Hmm…I wonder why you didn't kill the Contessa" The mysterious figure muttered before he got a call from the grandmaster
"Yes, grandmaster" The mysterious asked
"Report, I hope that observing the other two was worth it" The grandmaster said
"They are skilled, particularly strong in their fields, that Aria girl is very intelligent and Jasmine is rather talented in physical prowess…but whether they have something worth while is…questionable" The mysterious figure replied
"I see, and the Contessa" The grandmaster asked
"She lives, though as to why I can only guess that the subject has some reason for that" The mysterious figure replied
"Very well, continue to follow the subject and continue your observations" The grandmaster replied
"Yes grandmaster" The mysterious figure answered before hanging up
"Rather impressive, taking advantage of the war between Contessa and the police chief…you've brought together a rather impressive team…Cooper" The mysterious figure said
(Sly's P.O.V)
"Things didn't go exactly as planned but the Contessa was beaten and the Clockwerk eyes were finally in safe hands, with the Contessa imprisoned, we thought it was finally gonna get better but once again we were dealt a bad hand, apparently Barkly saw Nick and Carmelita fleeing from the castle with us and he jumped to the conclusion that they had gone rogue, Carmelita and Nick now on the out's with Interpol had to run with the rest of us for a while and escape from the cops, I offered them both sanctuary with us until we could find a way to clear them of their false charges, they said they needed to do things on their own, I understood, when you gotta do something you gotta do it and sometimes you gotta do it your own way, so we went our separate ways until next we meet, Mario got to meet both Jasmine and Aria, after hearing their stories and how they helped to free us, he figured it was for the best that the two stick with us for a while longer, after all they're skills came in handy to which we all agreed, I try to put it all out of my mind, this Klaww gang business was spirally out of control SO FAST and I had a sinking feeling in my stomach that my gang and I was at the center of it, but it wasn't all bad, we were FINALLY reunited, it was great and it was ALL thanks to Bentley for stepping up to bat, even the van ride out of town was like a party, Murray had to pull over twice because he was laughing so damn hard, it was funny when you think about it…even in these bad times we could still find reasons to laugh…to smile…to love being alive, to celebrate we went camping over the next two weeks, we fished, boated, swam, had a small firework show of our own, it was great and I NEVER left Neyla's side throughout the WHOLE trip, I could speed soundly with her in my arms and for the first time since Murray's had his van…he let Bentley DRIVE I could see Bentley growing before my eyes and I'm proud of him, he's coming out of his shell, we would be back in action soon enough but for now, I'm just beyond happy to have Neyla back, safe in my arms once again"

WHEW…it took some brainstorming to make this take on "A tangled web" unique to my version of the Sly Cooper cannon but, eventually got it done an I think that things are going great with the Contessa removed and the family back together and with two, new members, things should be fun, don't ya'll think so?
But, once again the team is followed by this mysterious figure and he's studying them, what's his and this grandmaster's endgame?
