The gang went to talk to Stacey at her dorm, when they see her walking down the hallway, "Stacey" Susannah said as Stacey backed up and ran, "stop" as Susannah and William ran after her.
"I hate running" both Pete and Lanie said as they tried to catch up with them.
As Susannah kept chasing Stacey, she nearly lost her when she remembered a secret passage, "dad this way" and William followed, while Pete and Lanie were behind them, "we'll catch up to guys" they said out of breath
Stacey ran outside, thinking she lost them when, Susannah and William ran out of the secret passage way, right in front of her, "hello, Stacey. We want to talk to you"
It was 5 mins later, Susannah asked her, "please, Stacey, do you want to know who Paul's killer was?" Just then, Pete and Lanie met up with them, "oh there you, Hannie, and you caught Stacey"
Not paying attention to them, Stacey spoke, "Paul committed suicide and let's leave it at that" she says as she fiddles with her engagement ring and begins to walk away, but Pete and Lanie block her, "Stacey, I saw you both arguing in the library. I heard you say to him, that you wanted him to reveal a secret."
Stacey fell onto the ground crying, "it's my fault he's dead. I gave him the allergy medicine, but gave him a large amount."
"Why, Stacey?"
"I didn't love him. Our engagement and upcoming marriage was of convenience…him as well"
"Oh" William said "so you have another lover and he killed him for you or…"
"Helen would never harm or kill her brother"
"Woah, didn't see that coming." Pete said
"I thought you knew Hannie, after all…" Stacey was about to say something, when Lanie spoke, "but how did he get the head injury?"
Stacey looked confused, "what head injury?"
"Paul was killed by a head injury, not from being drugged" William said
"So I didn't kill him?"
"No, just made him groggy" Susannah said
"It must have been his lover or his lover's wife" Stacey said as she wiped away her tears
"Who was his lover?" Lanie asked
"I thought it was Joe, but they were just friends and didn't even know he was homosexual. When I asked him, he was disgusted and told me to leave him alone."
"When was this?" William asked
"This morning before he left. He transferred to another school"
"Which makes him even more suspicious." Hannie said
"But he said…"
"Stacey it could be an act. Do you know where he was being transferred too?"
"A school in New York. Am I in trouble?"
"No, Stacey, just if you have more information let us know." William said as they gang walked away
"But, just letting you know, despite that our relationship was a fake, I did care for him, he was my best friend"
They all nodded and continued to walk away, when William asked "uh, Susannah, what was Stacey talking about?"
"What do you mean, dad?"
"Stacey said after all…"
Lanie and Pete walked away, "we'll meet you guys later, we're going to get something to eat."
"Dad…you wouldn't understand."
She tries to walk away, but is stopped by him, "Susannah, you can't keep me in the dark"
She turns to him, "you're keeping me in the dark about you and mama. What the hell is going on with you both? Are you getting a divorce?"
"Susannah, please don't say hell"
"I'm a grown ass woman dad and I'll fucking say whatever I want to say. Now tell me, are you and mama getting a divorce?"
William rubs his forehead, "ok, Susannah I don't want to get angry with you, but let's just take a breather, go get a cup of tea and talk. Just like when you were a little girl. Please?"
