Kitty waited as her Rotom phone was in the process of contacting a friend of hers…while she had to keep a wiggling Sprigatito in her hands as still as possible. The grass-type Pokemon was hissing at Freezer, who looked absolutely livid with the kitten.

"Freezer, please." Kitty kept a firm grip on the grass-cat Pokemon, frowning towards her Alolan Sandslash. "I'll handle this. I have to try to get some advice from- GAH!"

Kitty flinched when Sprigatito SWIPED for Freezer, but ended up scratching Kitty's arm instead. This caused the Pokemon trainer to accidentally drop the cat, who landed on the ground and tried to scurry away…however her front left paw was limping badly.

This allowed Harpuia to easily get in front of her, blocking her escape path and glare at her.

Sprigatito panted and took a few steps back, glancing around her as Leviathan, Fefnir and Freezer all blocked her means of escape.

"Please! Please!" Kitty made her way past her Primarina and Emboar, giving her pokemon a firm look. "She's just scared! Don't be too hard on her!" Kitty made her way to the Sprigatito who was crouching low to the ground, her ears flattened against her head.

"Hey…it's ok." Kitty held out her hands towards the trembling kitten-Pokemon. "I'm not going to let them battle you…I just need to find out the best way to take care of your paw."

"...merw…" Sprigatito trembled, but allowed Kitty to gently pick her up and cradle her.

"Hello?"

Kitty paused when she heard her Rotom Phone finally get ahold of the person she had been trying to contact. "Oh!" Quickly turning, Kitty made her way back over to her Rotom Phone, gently petting Sprigatito in her arms. The picture on the phone showed a young woman who looked around the age of 21 or 22 with short black hair and lavender tinged eyes.

"Selena! It's me Kitty." The younger trainer managed to get a full view of her phone. "Do you have a minute?"

"...Oh Hi Kitty!" Selena greeted, a warm smile on her face. "We're finishing up a training session, we could use a break. What's going on?"

"Sorry to bother you, but…I'm currently in Paldea." Kitty held up Sprigatito for Selena to see. "My team and I woke up to this little rascal rummaging through my bag to get our berries."

"Oh what a little cutie!" Selena smiled upon seeing the grass-cat. "It's been YEARS since I've seen a Paldean Pokemon!" The girl paused and seemed to study Sprigatito. "What's wrong with her paw?"

"That's what I'm calling about." Kitty softly stroked Sprigatito's fur to comfort the scared kitten. "Freezer got angry at her for stealing our berries and used Icicle Crash on her. Poor thing didn't stand a chance."

Sprigatito listened to the trainer telling the story while she glared at the Alolan Sandslash who glared right back at her.

Thief!

Freezer took a step up towards Kitty and Sprigatito, however Harpuia put out his arm to keep the hotheaded ice-type from giving the severely under-leveled grass-type a piece of his mind.
Freezer, enough. Our trainer will take care of it.

That little thief needs a lesson!
Freezer flailed his arms and pointed towards the kitten accusingly.

You ALREADY gave her a lesson.
Leviathan the Primarina crossed her fins and gave the Alolan Sandslash a sarcastic look.
She's like…level FIVE…only a coward continues to beat up an underleveled Pokemon.

"Looks like Sprigatito has already made an impression on your team." Selena could be heard on the other side of the line, a smile on her face. "Good thing Paldea is absolutely littered with all kinds of berries."

"...you can understand the rest of them?" Kitty winced. "How mad are they?"

"Oh you misunderstand, I can only hear Ghost-type Pokemon talk." Selena put up her hand. "The only reason I can tell your team isn't very happy with her is the expressions on their faces."

"Ah." Kitty glanced towards her team and huffed.

"Anyways I take it you're not used to frostbite on Pokemon." Selena crossed her arms and looked thoughtful. "This is tough since Sprigatito is a grass type…hold that thought, I'm going to look something up."

Selena stepped away from her phone and walked out of the camera's line-of-sight.

Sprigatito looked upwards towards the Rotom Phone that was hovering in midair. In the background of the call was a very strong looking Scizor who was looking away from the phone, most likely watching what this…'Selena' was doing.

Off to the side was…a black Greninja, who was leaning against the wall, looking interested in the conversation.

Sprigatito paused and stared at the water-type Pokemon in awe. Something about the way this Pokemon carried himself…
…was SO amazing…

The grass-type pokemon paused when the Greninja glanced towards her direction…and she quickly ducked out of sight, a blush on her little kitten cheeks.
…that Pokemon was gorgeous…

"Here we go!" Selena came back to the picture, holding up a book. "If Sprigatito's paw is suffering from frostbite, you'll need an Ice heal, or an Aspear berry."

"Crap." Kitty huffed. "I don't have either of those." She glanced down towards the Sprigatito who was trying to hide herself in Kitty's shirt as though she was being shy now. "...I suppose the next best thing would be finding a Pokemon center."

"There's that too." Selena smiled. "If you're going to send her back into the wild, definitely make sure she's completely healed up before you send her back with wild Pokemon."

Kitty nodded and smiled. "Thanks for the help Selena. I'll make sure Sprigatito is feeling completely better. Are we still meeting up in Unova before the Island Challenge begins again?"

"That's what I have planned. Haven't arrived just yet. I'm still trying to assure Sakura that trains aren't going to eat her." Selena chuckled weakly and rubbed her head.

"Alright. Please wish me luck Lena…I'm sure you know why I'm here in Paldea." Kitty looked to the side slightly. "I…REALLY need to know why Atticus…just…abandoned our friendship…"

Selena was silent for a moment, before she offered a comforting smile. "I'm sure there's a reason, Kitty. I hope that once you find Atticus, you'll be able to talk things out." The girl smirked. "Who knows?...Maybe you can even admit to him about your little crush on him."

Kitty blushed and coughed. "Uh-! I gotta go. Bye Selena! Bye Cye! Bye Phantom!" She quickly hung up and groaned lightly. After a moment she huffed and put away her phone, glancing towards her team…

Who were all smirking at her.

"What?!" Kitty flailed her arms. "It's not like Atticus and I are a thing! He doesn't even KNOW I like him!" She turned and huffed, stroking Sprigatito's fur and started walking.
"...he probably wouldn't even care." she muttered to herself. "...let's just hope he's not like my brother G-..."

She huffed and continued to walk, absently petting the Sprigatito in her arms.
