"...I should have known you wouldn't be able to stand up to the task." Spector scoffed, watching his shiny Noivern gazing at the ground hopelessly. The Noivern was panting lightly, and it looked like his wings were trembling from exhaustion.

Spector took in his surroundings and frowned…Paldea…he had wanted to get to Galar, not this sorry excuse of a region. No matter. Apparently according to that Team Skull member, the champion of Alola was either supposed to be here or Galar.

He paused when he noticed his Noivern slowly dragging himself towards a nearby stream, leaning down and thirstily drinking at the water. Scowling, Spector took out two Pokeballs, letting out his Absol first.

"Lumine." Spector narrowed his eyes as the Absol glanced upwards emotionlessly. "Find the nearest town. We'll need to restock no thanks to that deadweight Noivern."

The Absol turned and took off, narrowing his eyes to seek out a town or city.

Spector glanced over his shoulder. It looked like the shiny Noivern was being admired by a group of Gastly and Misdreavus. Some of the Gastly were making faces at the Dragon/Flying type, while the Misdreavus were floating around, almost as if they were inviting the large dragon to play.

…Noivern didn't react to them…didn't give them any acknowledgement, good or bad…

If anything, the Noivern looked back towards the stream and leaned down to take another drink of water.

Spector opened another Pokeball, letting out a large Tyrantrum. The T-Rex Pokemon had several scars across its body, and it looked like a thick collar was around his neck..almost too tightly. Once the Pokemon landed, the large Dragon/Rock type slowly looked up, letting out a low growl upon seeing Spector.

The young man smirked slightly upon seeing the Pokemon's hatred…before pointing towards the Noivern among the ghost Pokemon that still looked interested in trying to get the dragon type to play with them.

"Relieve Noivern of duty." Spector ordered, turning and getting out his Rotom phone. "I have a scan to complete."

Tyrantrum growled and looked over towards the stream, his eyes narrowing dangerously.

"Gaastly! Gaaaastly!"
"Misdreavus!"

Noivern continued to drink at the water…it was so cool down his throat…it felt almost comforting. He could hear the ghost pokemon urging him to play with them…

…how he wished he could be innocent like them…

PLOP!

Noivern paused and looked down, seeing a Sitrus berry set in front of him. The dragon/flying type gazed at it…and looked up slightly. An extremely friendly Haunter had joined this group of Pokemon…and it was offering more berries.

…food…

Noivern turned and reached for the offering-

"RRRAAAAGGGHH!"

"Gas?"
"Mis!"

Noivern paused when the ghost Pokemon suddenly looked confused and spooked, before quickly flying away. Turning, Noivern's pupils shrunk upon seeing Spector's Tyrantrum charging for him.

Spreading his wings, Noivern tried to take to the sky…but he could only get a few feet into the air…he was still severely weakened by his 4 hour flight.

CHOMP!
"KRAAAAA!" Noivern shrieked as agonizing pain could now be felt in his wing. The jaws of the dragon/rock type began ripping into the flesh of his wing, causing the Noivern to feel a pain like no other.

Noivern tried to take flight once again, but was unable. He turned his head and charged up a hyperbeam, firing it for the Tyrantrum…but at the angle his wing was being forced into, the attack missed and went sailing into the air.

The Tyrantrum narrowed his eyes and JERKED his head to the side, causing Noivern to SLAM to the ground. Tyrantrum slammed Noivern to the other side…again…and again…and again.

The ghosts who had originally wanted to play with Noivern watched the scene in horror. One Gastly looked like she wanted to help, but was stopped by the Haunter.

Haunter! We have to help it!
That's a Tyrantrum! We're far too underleveled to help!
But-

CRACK!

The sickening sound of bones cracking caused the ghost pokemon to look back towards the fight…

Tyrantrum had Noivern's neck in his mouth and was biting down hard…

Noivern panted, his body trembling and his pupils shrinking…the shiny Pokemon's body finally hung limply in the Tyrantrum's mouth.

After a long while Tyrantrum dropped the Noivern and turned, licking a thick red liquid off his face. Tyrantrum moved and opened his mouth-

"Tyrantrum! We're leaving!"

The Dragon/Rock Pokemon growled, hearing Spector's voice from the hill. Slowly standing, the Tyrantrum stomped away from his victory to rejoin his master…

…leaving the lifeless shiny Noivern laying in a pool of blood, never to fly again.
