Chapter 7
Graduation and Annihilation
After hearing their teacher ask who wanted to go first, Kiba decided to take this opportunity to impress everyone as he walked forward.
"Get ready to be amazed," the dog boy cockily said, mostly saying this to the girls in the crowd. Iruka nodded to Anko who did a very quick set of hand signs before slamming her hand onto the ground.
" Earth Style: Mud Wall" she said as a medium sized wall of rock rose from the ground. "Alright Kibbles.." Kiba growled at the nickname "…use your jutsu on this wall."
Kiba got on all fours as he channeled his chakra before rushing forward. He jumped forward with such a high velocity, he created a vortex of wind and chakra. " Tunneling Fang Over Fang."
Kiba rammed into the wall of earth, causing it to dent and crack but it was still strong enough to stay together. Kiba canceled the jutsu and jumped back. The Inuzuka heir was annoyed that the wall wasn't destroyed by his technique, but was still satisfied he was able to do so much damage to a defense generated by a Jonin.
Anko canceled the jutsu and allowed it to crumble away before she recreated a new wall while Iruka wrote down Kiba's score.
The next person to go up was Shikimaru, who simply just wanted it to be done and over with. With a very precise handsign, he whispered " Shadow Possession Jutsu." His shadow stretched out and attached to Anko's own shadow, keeping her in place. "Shadow possession is a success."
Anko stood there with a grin, not at all bothered by the jutsu essentially paralyzing her. Shikimaru waved his hand around that Anko was forced to mimic, laughing as it was done.
The Nara retracted his shadow once Iruka wrote down his result before he slumped onto a tree and closed his eyes. The next person to walk up was Choji who the clapped his hands together and pushed out his internal chakra. " Expansion Jutsu: Human Boulder!"
Choji's body grew in an instant before his body became a huge ball. He took a moment before he started to roll in a fast pace like bowling ball before rolling into the. The wall held its place for a few moments before it began to crack. Debris shot through the field while the wall began to bend. Still though, the wall was able to still be standing as the Akimichi cancelled the jutsu.
" As much as I hate that annoying mutt," Juubi yawned in boredom. " At least his jutsu was better than the fat one's. Though I will begrudgingly admit that the Akimichi boy did more damage than the dog ."
" It seems to work by expanding and expanding one's chakra within their coil through the use of his weight," Shinju observed. " Both use a different version of a similar use of technique by rotating their chakra in different directions and a different speed velocity. Not difficult of a technique to understand and replicate."
"Would it really he possible to copy the jutsu that Kiba used?" Naruto asked mentally. "I mean, it seems like the jutsu would be useful to have."
" It shouldn't be too hard to do so young lord," Juubi replied as Shinju agreed. " In fact, we should be able to improve it as well." Naruto nodded as he paid back attention as Hinata, Ino, and Naruko finished performing already. Sasuke had just finished his handsign.
" Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu!" A ball of intense fire which was twice his size rushed out from his lips and vaporized the wall of rock that was raised by Anko.
The impressive performance, after finally getting the fangirls for the boy to calm down, was followed by Satsuki using the Fire Style: Pheonix Flower Jutsu that pulverized the raised again wall.
Finally, it was his turn as he walked up slowly as he was unsure what jutsu he should do. He opted to just not worry about and allow his body to just go on autopilot and go by instinct. After calming himself, Naruto clasped his hands together before he felt the chakra within his body react to him and change its properties as random techniques flowed throw his head.
" Wind Style: Great Breakthrough," he called out the technique that seemed to be engraved into his very being at the ease he formed the jutsu. A powerful force of wind escaped his lips as it slammed into Anko's jutsu, tearing it apart piece-by-piece. Going on instinct still, Naruto put a bit more power within the jutsu. Enough power was put in that not only did it destroy the jutsu, but left a small trench in the ground.
Naruto cancelled the jutsu as he took a deep breath, calming his chakra once more. Naruto didn't see the shocked look on everyone's faces as they all gazed him and the trench. Iruka having actually dropped his clipboard in his shock. Even Anko had her mouth hanging open in surprise, not expecting an academy student to have that much power in a jutsu. Especially without utilizing handsigns.
It took the Otsusuki boy a moment to notice the looks, becoming a bit embarrassed by all the stairs as he scratched his left cheek lightly. 'What's with all the stares? Did I do something wrong?' He thought in confusion.
" No young lord," Juubj replied smugly. " You just put these foolish kids in their place. You out did all the damage their jutsu's could do, with the only two being anywhere near your power being the Uchiha twins and Naruko. And the fact that you showed nowhere near your full power only made this all the sweeter."
" I'm going to have to agree with the Juubi on this one." Shinju applied. " There was not a single person that outshined that jutsu. Though I would prefer knowing how we have that you two in our arsenal in the first place."
" Still don't think it really matters where the technique are coming from," Juubi replied with annoyance. " We have it now and we will only get more as time goes on. Just accept the continued addition to our growing strength."
Shinju was about to reply but was interrupted by the excited squeal from a blushing Naruko who hugged him tightly. "That was so amazing Naruto!" she yelled happily. "That jutsu was so powerful! I didn't expect you to know a super powerful jutsu like that!"
"When did you learn how to use a jutsu as powerful as that?" Satsuki asked curiously as she walked up to them. "You didn't even use any handsigns to form your jutsu in the slightest. That shows you have a high level of mastery over your jutsu and its made more impressive due to it being an elemental one."
'The female Uchiha brat has a major point,' Anko thought as she watched Naruto closely. 'A jutsu of that kind of level is usually a Jonin level skillset. Hell, even most Jonin need handsigns for their jutsus, even if they are able to cut down the handsigns to one or two signs.'
Iruka could not gather his thoughts as easily as Anko did after seeing Naruto's impressive display. He looked at the damage the wind justsu caused, trying to piece together how an academy student knew such a powerful jutsu and could launch it to such a degree.
"Honestly, I just learned of the technique in the library and had someone ninja of the village show me the handsigns. Took some convincing though since they saw me as a waste of time due to the level of the jutsu. After that, I just practiced it along with a couple other jutsus I found."
Iruka and Anko snapped out of their thoughts as they told everyone to head inside the academy building for the final part of the Genin Exam. This will be a test of their ability to perform the three academy basic jutsu: Clone Jutsu, Substitution, and Transformation.
Throughout this part of the exam, Naruto ignored it as it was such a simple test to him. Granted, Naruto couldn't do the normal Clone Jutsu due to his high amount of chakra. But during one of his training sessions, he learned or remembered in this case, how to perform Wind Clones and Lightning Clones along with the Shadow Clone Jutsu.
Soon he was called up next to the other room to perform. He made his way over, but was stopped by Naruko.
"Good luck Naruto," she smiled with a blush. She pulled the boy in and gave him a quick peck on the cheek. This not only shocked everyone at how bold she was being, but jealous glares from the girls while most of the boys gave Naruto their own jealous glares. "I know that you will pass, but just a little something for luck." Naruko paid no mind to the looks the two of them were getting aa she made her way to her seat, grinning at the fact that she got a small blush out of crush.
'Damn you, Naruko,' Satsuki glowered as she glared at her friend. 'I won't allow you to get so far ahead of me.' But before she could act, Naruto had already made his way to the test room for his exam.
Naruto entered the room with the grace that he has been known for and got ready to begin his test. First they had him use the Substitution that he used to trade place with a nearby chair to avoid a blunt kunai thrown by Anko. It was then followed up by the Transformation jutsu where he transformed into Anko, matching her features perfectly.
The Tokubetsu Jonin followed this up by walking around the transformed Naruto as she inspected the transformation. "Yeah this is definitely awesome," she grinned as crossed her arms. "Man I am hot! I mean, just look at that giant rack along with my nice tight ass. No wonder perverts can't look away from me." She chuckled as she had not a hint of shame in how she spoke about her appearance.
Naruto transformed back to normal in embarrassment, his face a deep red as he had no clue how to handle Anko. Even after they met, her blunt and shameless words always seemed to embarrass him.
And last but not least was the Clone Jutsu portion of the test where Naruto explained that he couldn't do the normal Clone Jutsu due to his immense amount of chakra. But he did have an alternative clone technique that he could use if that was allowed. Iruka and Anko both nodded, having been told that this may the be the case with people like Naruko and Naruto. If they could not do the Clone Jutsu then any other Clone was allowed as long as they can perform it well.
Once Naruto got the ok, he raised his hand for a single handsign. " Shadow Clone Jutsu." In a puff of smoke, the number of Naruto's in the room increased from one to six. Each clone was a perfectly identical copy of the original and had their arms crossed over their chests. He was thankful that Naruko practiced this jutsu around him a lot, so he was able to replicate it pretty easily enough.
Like before, Anko and Iruka were speechless at the level of mastery over a highly advanced jutsu like that was stunning. To only have to use a single handsign to create a Shadow Clone of all things was insane.
'Something is up with this kid,' Anko thought as Iruka gifted Naruto his Konoha headband. 'The skills he has portrayed so far are pretty advanced for his age group. None of them are genin level techniques or skillsets. They are essentially the level of high Chunin to maybe Jonin level. I'll have to report this to Lord Fourth and Lord Orochimaru.'
While close with the family, Minato and the Legendary Sanin are at the least wary of Naruto. They like Naruto well enough and have accepted him as one of their own. Especially Kushina, who adores the boy and likes to play matchmaker between him and Naruko.
But Minato had been amazed at Naruto's fast development since he joined the village. He got chakra control exercises done within the same hour of being shown them. He quickly learned to be able to channel his chakra to different weapons or even different parts of his body parts like it was second nature to him. Now showing that he knows highly advanced jutsu and able to perform them with such minimal effort was unnerving, despite having skilled shinobis in the village performing such feats at a young age before. Due to all this and him being not from the village originally has had the family and family friends watching him closely.
After the last few Genin hopefuls finished their test, Iruka walked into the classroom with Anko. This got everyone's attention, all of them wearing their official headbands as those who failed and did not receive one had already left the classroom.
"I want to say I am proud of every single one of you," Iruka congratulated his students. "All of you have worked hard to get where you are now and have earned your spot to graduate. Your growing strength is truly showing today and I was happy to be here to witness it myself."
" Not like they made it difficult for us in the first place,"Juubj drawled in boredom. " To be fair, we could be just too powerful for these fools to begin with. Oh wait, we are!" The multi-tailed wolf grinned, proud of how far ahead in power they obviously were when compared to the other students and even some grown shinobi.
Naruto and Shinju chose to ignore their ally's prideful boasting, as they were honestly used to it by now. Naruto zoned back into Iruka's words as he said that they were all to meet back up at the academy tomorrow morning for their team assignments.
"As of now, we will announce the top students of the genders along with the top three students overall." The students all got excited, except for a select few, wanting to see who was the best of the class. "For the males, the number one student goes to….Sasuke Uchiha!"
This got a round of applause from the students, while his fangirls squealed at their crush's accomplishment, who was smirking at his success. Satsuki congratulated her twin with a one-armed hug, proud of him.
While the students were happy, Juubi raged in his Naruto's head, not understanding how such a inferior creature to their power was able to outdo them. " They were not stronger than they were!" he raged on.
"For the girls, this was actually a very close one," Anko spoke up. "In the end though, the top female spot goes to…..Naruko Uzumaki! Congrats little sis." The class cheered for the Uzumaki heir, happy for her.
Said girl was in shock as she didn't expect to take the top spot since Satsuki was usually slightly better than her on most occasions. She was instantly knocked from her shock when Hinata hugged her, congratulating her best friend. Both girls were subsequently hugged by Naruto who was happy for her. This sent both of them into a blushing and stuttering frenzy, getting a good natured laugh from the class. Except for Kiba of course, who growled I'm anger and kept his mouth shut.
The Inuzuka boy was furious that Sasuke was the one who took the top spot for the guys and not him, but he could at least be glad that Naruto didn't take the spot either. Plus it helps that there is still a chance for him to get the Rookie of The Year spot as that's tallied differently.
"And now it's time for the spot of the top student," Iruka continued. "And Rookie of The Year will go to the student with not only the best overall performance within the ninjutsu, taijutsu, genjutsu, and shurikenjutsu portions. This means it will include the mastery of said techniques like the speed of the technique and how fast you are able to perform the correct handsets. This will also include the accuracy and speed of your weapon test and how fast you were able to escape the genjutsu, despite not being able to cast one yourself. Your test grades during the written portion will also play a part of the final score. Most of these other aspects were not tallied when accounting for the previous positions. The final spot and this year's Rookie of The Year position will go to….
Naruto Otsusuki!"
"What?!" Kiba shouted in rage before anyone could congratulate the white haired construct. "How the hell did that bastard get the top spot?! No way in hell is that bastard better than the rest of us here! Especially since his ability to use weapons is crap!"
"And what about your weapon skills, dog boy?" Satsuki asked asking in annoyance. "It's not like your weapon skills are all that good. How about you fix yourself before trying to criticize others."
"Not to mention that Naruto has shown to be better at other aspects of the shinobi," Hinata spoke up with a hard glare at Kiba. "Your just mad that you are behind him in so many abilities and skills. Let's not forget that you have never beaten him before, which definitely puts someone like you in their place!"
Everyone couldn't help but to look at the Hyuga heiress in shock, not expecting such a biting response from her like that. Hell, Naruko's jaw dropped at her best friend's malice.
Anko whistled, honestly impressed by the backbone shown by the shy Hyuga girl. "Little kitty has some really sharp claws that she was hiding away," she said with a smirk at the indignant look on Kiba's face.
Yakumo looked down, unhappy that a nice guy like Naruto got insulted so much by Kiba. Yeah it wasn't the most seething of remarks, but it's not like he did anything that was deserving of being treated in such a way. She hasn't really spoken to Naruto all that often, but he has always been nice to her when did they did talk and he makes time to hang with her if she was alone.
She also admittedly found him to be both a warn presence and a handsome person too. It's why she had so much trouble talking with him though. Before getting help by the Hokage's family in sealing her Ido , she rarely got the chance to hang around a guy who was her age, never mind one as attractive as Naruto who was also as kind as he was. The closest one would be Sasuke, he just wasn't exactly a warm person, despite being kind in his own way. She knew that Kiba was aware of how strong Naruto was, so she had no idea why he would push Naruto so far.
"Kiba, I will not allow you to interrupt me again so sit down!" Iruka yelled with a glare towards his brash student, getting the heir to back down. "Naruto abs shown a great understanding and usage of his chakra and jutsu than anyone here. With him being able to utilize his jutsu without having to wave handsigns or minimizing it to a single handsign. The damage output of the jutsu alone has shown a mastery far beyond the others here."
To the students, their teacher made sense with his reasoning. Naruto has shown on multiple occasions that his practical use of chakra in all areas was unrivaled when compared to those of his classmates.
"Amongst that and his good grades throughout this exam, Naruto has shown to have truly earned his place as the Rookie of The Year. If you really wanted it, then maybe you should have worked harder to earn it for yourself, Kiba."
Kiba growled as he clenched his fists from how much 'better' Naruto was being painted when compared to himself. "But I didn't need to use any handsigns for my jutsu either," Kiba countered. "Not to mention that mine was a mix of both ninjutsu and taijutsu, which should be more impressive than just blowing some hot air."
"Naruto's jutsu involved the use of nature transformation," Sasuke rolled his eyes as he explained to his fellow clan heir while crossing his arms. "That is usually not used by Genin ninja, let alone an academy student which makes it much more impressive. The Fire Ball Jutsu is a rite of passage for all Uchiha so it makes that both me and Satauki would have skills at using Fire Release jutsus already. A similar thing can be said for Naruko and even you Kiba and most clan jutsus. Naruto here doesn't have that luxury like we do and seems to have not let that slow him down. Not to mention that the power behind the jutsu was able to outdo all the damage that we all have shown."
"But…" Kiba tried to persist further but was shut down from his next argument when a flash of killing intent hit him from a glaring Anko.
"Naruto is the Rookie of The Year," Anko spoke lowly. "Your going to sit your whiny ass down mutt and shut your trap and accept that. If you choose not to then I won't be held accountable for what I will do to make you comply. I'm sure your sister and mom will understand when I tell them that you crippled because you didn't know your place." She gave Kiba a growing sadistic smirk that made the boy shake in terror. Even Akamaru whimpered and hid himself within Kiba's jacket
'It's not like I couldn't cast a genjutsu, I mean I did it when we arrived,' Naruto thought to himself in slightly annoyance. ' I just can't remember how I did it. Most of
"Everyone, class will be dismissed for the day," Iruka continued. "Return here tomorrow at 8 in the morning for team placements and to meet your Jonin teachers. Once more, congratulations everyone." Iruka turned and left the room followed by Anko qw the students felt the sense of relief wash over them.
"Naruto!" Naruko called out, getting the boy's attention. "We are planning to go to Roasted Leaves Bar-B-Q to celebrate graduating. Do you want to come with us?"
The Otsusuk boy thought for a moment before nodding in agreement, deciding that he could go training later tonight.
"How about you guys? You what to come too?" She questioned her other two more elusive friends, Satsuki and Yakumo who nodded, though the Kurama heiress was nervous doing so. Naruto decided he should invite some people as he turned to Sasuke, Shikamaru, and Choji.
"Do you wish to join us too?" Naruto asked his friend and two acquaintances. The Uchiha nodded, knowing that his sister was going to drag him along anyway.
Choji instantly agreed due to not only his parents owning the restaurant, but food was involved. Shikimaru sighed as he drawled out yes since his best friend just agreed to go.
"What about us?" Ino asked as she and Sakura walked up to the steadily growing group. "Are we invited too? I mean, if billboard brow isn't, that cool with me too."
"Shut it Ino-Pig!" Sakura growled to her childhood rival. "Of course I will go! I already know your going to, after all, a pig like you can't help but to eat. Right?" Sakura gave a victorious grin at the pale blonde's vicious growl in response.
Naruko looked towards her friends, Satsuki and Sasuke looked to be both mentally praying to any deity willing to listen to their plea, that their good natured friend would not be nice for once and tell the two girls no.
Too bad for the Uchiha twins, no deity was available to hear their prayers.
"Sure thing you two," Naruko answered, causing both siblings to slam their heads onto the adjacent desk to them. "Would love it if you joined us but do please keep your arguing to a minimum."
"She does realize that he request is going to fell on deaf ears with those two, right?" Naruto whispered to both Hinata and Yakumon, both of whom giggled as they agreed with him.
" It's because that girl is too naïve for her own good," Juubi said. Even Naruto and Shinju could only agree with that as Naruto was a bit too trusting sometimes. Something that even her own mother has said before.
"In fact, Shino, why don't you join us too!?" she turned and asked one of the more aloof boys in the class, surprising the boy by the invitation. The Aburame gave a slight nod of acceptance at the offer.
Kiba was about to ask to join but he felt rather rage that came from most the girls in the group sent his way, causing him to stay quiet. But he did mentally swear that he will make Naruto pay for stealing his 'girls'.
" Enjoy your day Young Lord," Shinju said softly. " We will be upping your chakra training in case more unique and more powerful jutsus start popping up. Plus, I think it would be best if can find a way to counter those Chakra Chains used by Kushina and possibly Naruko. But for now, you have earned a day with your friends." Even Juubi agreed with his counterpart, though he wouldn't exactly call the humans friends. Naruto nodded at the two constructs.
Naruto was knocked from his thoughts as his hands were grabbed by a grinning Naruko who began to pull him out the classroom. 'Soon I'll be leaving the village on missions,' he thought to himself. 'I may be able to finally get the answers of who or what I am.'
Near Red Bean Country Shrine at Night
Fire was spreading wildly around the small village, a remote village that was hidden away deep within Fire Country, that was closer to the oceans. Bodies of various villagers and monks littered the ground and waters. Small homes completely destroyed, as if smashed to pieces.
A once large and proud temple by the edge of the village was now also in rumbles while burning away. Some of the few living villagers were still trying to run away to save themselves only for some of them to be impaled by black spikes. As the people screamed in agony, small wisps of their chakra drained away, causing their bodies to shrivel up.
A black mass of chakra was revealed by the moonlight as it was the thing rampaging throughout the village, destroying anything and everything in it way. It's body was a swirl of black, red and blue chakra. It had four legs and paws, akin to a wolf's, that had sharp four claws on each paw. Two ears that looked similar to a bats protruded from its head. It had a wolf's snout with razor sharp teeth that looked to belong to a shark. It's eyes were wide with red in one eye and blue in the other, showing it was heterochomic. It had no tail but did have a small black stub on its backside tailbone.
The beast was surrounded by monks who began to chant with blue beads wrapped around their hands. The beads glowed as a sealing array appeared under the rampaging beast that growled at each of the chanting humans.
Lightning shot from the seal as it wrapped around the creature, causing it to let loose a powerful, yet pain filled roar. The seal began to wrap around the beast as it pulled it monster into the array while it fought back. All the monks had sweat pouting from their foreheads as they struggled to lock the beast away.
In a few minutes, the seal was successful as the beast was completely pulled in. Once done, each monk dropped to the floor in exhaustion as relief washed overall of their sweaty faces.
This relief was short was short lived as the sealed glowed and cracked along with the beads of the monks. Before any of them could do anything, the seal shattered as the black beast broke free. The beads broke apart and shattered into tiny pieces as the beast freed itself. The terrified monks could only sit there in terror as the creature growled in their direction, rage evident on its face. The back of the beast bubbled before black tendrils burst from its back and the tendrils rushed forward, stabbing each monk in the chest.
Blue and red chakra was shown to be absorbed into the spikes as the monks shriveled up and entered the beast, much like it happened to the villagers. When the monks became nothing but shriveled up corpses, the beast dropped them onto the ground as it shook the earth with another powerful roar.
It gazed towards to the rising moon and growled, its bodyy beginning to glow as it's eyes gained a faint black ring. Feeling a sense of danger, the black beast jumped back as three waves of wind sliced its precious spot. Looking to where the attack came from, it found three monks that it missed around the age of 45.
They each wore a brown and white kimono that was held together by a red sash. Purple beads were wrapped around their left arms and hands. In their other hand were golden staffs that had sealing tags for each of the five elements.
"You are going to pay for what you have done here," the first monk said with a glare. "Satoshi, restrain the beast while me and Pryce weaken it."
The now named Satoshi nodded as he vanished in a Body Flicker Technique and appeared to the beasts left. The staffs lightning tag glowed. " Lightning Style: Electrical Terrain!" He slammed the staff into the ground as the area became electrically charged. The whips of electricity wrapped around the beast, causing it pain as it roared in rage.
The first monk named Tsurugi and Pryce rushed at the beast before slamming the head of the staff towards the ground. " Fire Style: Flaming Vortex!" The fire seal glowed as a twister of fire rushed from both staffs and encompassed the black beast. The beast's cries of pain were drowned out by the roars of flames. The two vortex's twist around the beast as it created a tornado of fire.
The fire tornado bust apart though as black tendrils slammed into the electrified field. The electrically charges were absorbed into the beast as its fur released sparks of electricity.
"Did it just absorb the jutsu?!" Satoshi cried out in shock as the beast glared at him. "But why did it mot do so with the Fire Release?"
The black beast growled as the electrical sparks increased throughout his body. In a released roar, the beast moved in an electrical blur which surprised the monks. Satoshi didn't have time to move as the beast was behind him and swung its arms down onto him.
Thankfully his partners reacted in time as they used a quick set of handsjgns that caused a purple barrier to encase him. This stopped the claw from crushing Satoshi.
Tsurugi and Pryce grunted as the barrier cracked from the powerful strike. "Satoshi, get away from there! The Nirvana Barrier is gonna last a second strike!" Satoshi's earth tag glowed as he jumped into the ground, digging into the earth using the Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole Technique.
Once their partner was out of the way, the other two monks went on the offensive. Tsurugi pointed his staff at the beast as the lightning tag glowed next. "Take this you demon. Lightning Release: Lightning Blast Jutsu!" A powerful beam of lightning rushed at the black beast but it let loose black tendrils that blocked and then absorbed the jutsu.
Pryce appeared to the beasts left and swung his staff forward as the water seal activated, sending a wide archive of water slicing through the earth and rushed at the beast. It slammed into it which caused it to growl as it tried to bisect the jutsu, but was repulsed by it.
Stopping its momentum, the black beast charged chakra into its left paw and swung downward at Satoshi. Four arcs of chakra rushed at him as he slammed his staff into the ground as the earth seal tag glowed. " Earth Release: Earth Wall."
A wall of rock rose in front of Satoshi which was instantly tore to pieces of the attack. He instantly put up another Nirvana Barrier which only held off the jutsu for a moment before cracking. Waving his staff forward, he let loose another fire tag. " Fire Release: Flaming Vortex."
The flaming swirls rushed at slash's and they clashed in a powerful struggle.
Satoshi was beginning to lose ground though as the chakra strike pushed the fire jutsu back. Satoshi was quickly joined by his Tsurugi and Pryce as they too unleashed their own Flaming Vortex that combined with his. This gave it enough power to overpower the chakra slash and rushed towards the monster that unleashed a set of ten black tendrils.
Like before, the jutsu was completely canceled out as it was also absorbed into the beast. This time, fire flickered around its fur as it roared and pushed the monks onto their backs.
Fire was then gathered into the beasts maw as it released a torrent of flames that were reminisce to the Flaming Vortex Jutsu. The twisting flames rushed at the monks but only Satoshi and Tsurugi were able to avoid it as Pryce screamed in agonizing pain.
"Pryce!" Tsurugi cried out for his friend as he activated the water tag seal on his staff. " Water Style: Wild Water Wave!" A jet stream of water fired from the staff as it began to douse the roaring flames.
Satoshi, angered by the situation gathered his chakra as he glared at the beast and the lightning tag along with the water tag glowed. " Water Release: Water Wall!" A wave of water rammed into the black beast, but all it did was make it take a couple of steps back. Then the staff sparked heavily. " Lightning Style: Emotions Wave." Blue lightning chakra danced across the wave of water rushing at the beast. This elicited another high screech of pain as the lightning was enhanced by the water and vice versa.
Suddenly a vortex of fire rammed into the black beast. Satoshi noticed the fire jutsu came from an enraged Tsurugi as more chakra was pushed into the flames. Looking next to him, he saw their partner Satoshi was not breathing.
Pryce was definitely dead.
As before though, black tendrils came out of the beasts body and absorbed the two jutsus. Once the jutsus were gone, the beast walked forward as not a single wound could be found on its body. Red chakra bubbled from the beast along with blue chakra. They gathered in front of its mouth and turned into a black sphere.
Tsurugi and Satoshi began to shake in fear at the dense chakra, as they recognized the technique.
"No way," Tsurugi whispered in worry. "That's a Tailed Beast Bomb! That thing is a Tailed Beast!" Tsurugi and Pryce took a step back as they ran away with a Shunshin, but it didn't matter as the beast appeared in a flash of lightning behind them.
The now Tailed Beast fires the Tailed Beast Bomb that became a blast of destructive chakra. Tsurugi was pushed away by Pryce as he was incinerated by the blast. The blast destroyed everything in the village, nothing in its path was still standing.
Tsurugi could only stare at the destruction left behind, not one piece of rubble not vaporized in the path of the blast. "Our deaths were guaranteed the moment you had arrived, wasn't it? You were the one that is going to send us to Kami, you Reibi (Zero Tailed Beast)." Several tendrils rose from the Reibi's back as they pierced the chest of Tsurugi's body, causing the man to drop his staff as he felt his body be drained of all of it's chakra.
Once he felt the monk die from the chakra being totally drained away, the now named Reibi threw the shriveled up corpse away. Sensing no other chakra signatures in the immediate area, the beast growled as it began to leave the now ruined village. No idea where it should go next, but not caring either way.
It must feed on chakra. It must restore itself and recollect all of its lost chakra as it gazed at the full moon once more. It's consciousness was out there in the world somewhere and once it reabsorbs him back into itself, it will collect all the other forms of its power then recollect its body
Letting loose a blood curdling roar, the Reibi ran off in the dead of the night, crushing the now crumbling walls of the village and any trees nearby.
It would be a full day before anyone were to discover the now destroyed minor village and temple of the Land of Fire. Nothing to be found other than some destroyed structured and shriveled up corpses. No one aware that new Tailed Beast without a tail has awakened.
The Zero Tails, Reibi, is now on the hunt.
AN: And that is where I am going to end this chapter at, at long last! I am so sorry that this chapter took so long to get out. A lot has happened since I introduced this story. From my writing style slightly changing, to more personal things like moving into a new apartment with my family. Either way, this chapter has revealed a true Zero Tails, not like the false one we got in the Naruto movie. There is a reason I did this that will pertain to later in the story along with why it exists, the same with Naruto, despite Kaguya having absorbed the Ten Tails before.
