Chapter 7: Conclusion

Harry and Curly had left the Emerald City in search of Hermione, Peter Pan, and Lord Voldemort. Their mission was to find a way to rejoin Peter and his wandering shadow back together again, while at the same time rescuing Hermione. Hermione was wearing the ruby slippers and Voldemort wanted to destroy them because they were the last bit of magic left for him to harness in the Land of Oz. Harry knew Voldemort would surely kill Hermione once he managed to get the slippers off of her, and Harry also knew it would only be a matter of time before Voldemort figured out how to do so.

Harry and Curly had been walking towards the mountains for a little while, when suddenly- several flying monkeys came from out of nowhere, attacking the two of them.

Harry tried using his wand, but there were too many of them flying around to try and fend off.

While Curly was using his arms to protect his head, two flying monkeys swooped down and grabbed a hold of his shoulders. Then, they lifted him up from off the ground and began carrying him away towards the taller mountains off in the distance.

Harry knew the only way he could find out where they were taking Curly was to allow the flying monkeys to also grab a hold of his arms and carry him away as well. He would just have to think of another plan once they arrived at their destination.

Meanwhile… Moira, Tootles, and Ron had been following the Yellow Brick Road until it finally ended at a tall, dark castle. They also noticed a couple guards standing near the entryway.

"Do you think the Wizard of Oz is in there?" Tootles asked.

"I don't know." Ron replied. "It's awfully gloomy looking."

Suddenly- the three of them could hear foot soldiers marching closer and closer. They quickly jumped behind a few boulders to try and hide from them.

As the footsteps got even closer, they could hear the chanting of the Winkie guards as they marched along one by one.

"O-Ee-Yah! Eoh-Ah."

"O-Ee-Yah! Eoh-Ah." They repeatedly sang.

It seemed as if they were all under some sort of a trance.

Just before the guards made it to the entryway… A green cloud of smoke appeared. After the smoke dissipated, the Wicked Witch of the West was standing before them.

All of the marching guards immediately stopped and then knelt down on one knee. "All hail the Wicked Witch!" They announced in unison.

"My flying monkeys are bringing me the Potter boy and his friend. If I'm going to get the ruby slippers from that dreaded sorcerer, I'm going to need those boys in hopes of negotiating a trade." The Wicked Witch informed. "But… I'm sure some of the other travelers will come looking for them soon enough. I want you all to guard this castle with your lives!" She exclaimed, pointing her finger at each and every one of them.

"Yes, Wicked Witch! We shall do your bidding, all mighty one!" The head guard spoke up, still bowing his head.

"And, if I don't get those slippers… I'm going to cut those boy's heads clean off! Then… I will also cut off all your heads for failing me!" She declared, disappearing into another thick cloud of green smoke.

"Oh no! Did you hear that? They've captured Harry and Curly." Moira loudly whispered.

"And they are going to cut off their heads!" Tootles blurted.

"Shhhh… You are going to get us all caught!" Ron harshly whispered.

Just as Ron said that- three of the witch's Winkie guards snuck up from behind them and pointed sharp spears at their necks.

Ron, Moira, and Tootles acted as if they were going to give themselves up peacefully, but… as soon as the troopers came in close enough, the three teenagers managed to get the upper hand by grabbing a hold of the spears and reversing them on the guards. Then, they forced the guards to give them their armor. Their plan was to blend in with the other guards near the entrance so they could get inside without being detected.

After tying up and gagging the guards, the three teens noticed a marching squad heading their way, so they quickly blended in by joining in on the back of the line. Luckily for them, the Winkie guards were heading inside the dark castle.

After making it inside, the three of them broke away from the pack and scoped out their surroundings while hiding behind some tall stone columns.

Soon, they spotted a tall, narrow staircase that led to one of the higher towers. After the coast was clear, they began making their way up it.

They were almost to the top of the stairs, when suddenly they heard some commotion going on from up in the main tower. That's when they heard Harry's voice. They quickly rushed to the top and then peeked into the room.

"Get your damn hairy ape hands off of me!" Harry bellowed, trying to wiggle his arms loose from the grip of the flying monkeys.

The Wicked Witch of the West was standing near her crystal ball. "Don't worry, boy. The dark sorcerer will be here soon enough. He can have his precious Potter… and I will get my RUBY SLIPPERS!" she spouted, pointing her broomstick directly at Harry's forehead. "And… if he doesn't show up, I'm going to cook the both of you in my boiling cauldron."

Harry continued squirming his arms, fighting with the flying monkeys, showing that he wasn't afraid of the witch's harassment. "You better hope Voldemort hasn't harmed a hair on Hermione's head!" he declared.

Ron was about to charge into the room, but… just before he could-

POOF! A dark gray cloud of smoke appeared in the tower. After the smoke cleared, standing before the Wicked Witch was Lord Voltemort, Hermione, and Peter Pan.

Hermione was tied up and Peter looked as if he was in some sort of a trance. On the wall, just to the right of Peter, was Peter's shadow. The shadow was standing in a completely different stance than what Peter was standing in.

The Wicked Witch knelt down at Hermione's feet. "These ruby slippers will be mine soon, my pretty!"

"Step away from the shoes, you toad-colored wretch!" Voldemort demanded.

The Wicked Witch stood up. "We had a deal!" she proclaimed. "You said, if I captured the Potter boy, you would give me the slippers!"

"I lied!" Voldemort smirked.

The Wicked Witch grew a mean stare. "Do you think you are the only one with magic powers around here?" she rhetorically asked. "Take a look around! You are outnumbered!"

Voldemort looked around. He noticed that several Winkie guards were ready to attack him. Plus, there were a slew of flying monkeys also preparing to attack.

"Silly witch. The only reason they would attack me is because they are under your spell."

"That's right! And now I'm going to get those ruby slippers whether you honor our agreement or not!" She declared.

The Winkie guards and the flying monkeys began moving in closer to Voldemort.

"They can't attack me if you are dead." Voldemort retorted, stepping closer to the Wicked Witch.

"If you take one step closer, my minions will have you for dinner!" She warned.

"Ha! I don't need to step a foot closer." he informed her. "I only need to say one word." he threatened, raising his wand. "AGUAMENTI!" he commanded, causing a gush of water to splash against the Wicked Witch.

Instantly the Wicked Witch's face began to make sizzling noises.

"Ohh! You cursed Warlock! Look what you've done! I'm melting! MELTING!" She bellowed as her body began to shrink until she finally dissolved into complete nothingness, leaving only her tall pointed hat on the ground.

The Winkie guards and the flying monkeys instantly came out of their trance.

"He killed the Wicked Witch! We are finally free!" The guards celebrated.

"Not so fast!" Voldemort exclaimed, pointing his deadly wand at the guards. "You work for me now… or at least until I get those ruby slippers off of her!"

The Winkie guards quickly knelt down. " Yes, Warlock! We are at your command!"

"Good! Now, the first thing I need you to do is kill Harry Potter and all of his friends!" Voldemort demanded.

All of the Winkie guards turned their spears in Harry and Curly's direction.

Voldemort pointed his wand at Hermione's feet. "Now, it is time to get those slippers off of you!" he hissed.

Black fog flew from his wand and surrounded Hermione. The fog began entering Hermione's nose. She tried hard to not breathe it in, but Voldemort's magic was too powerful.

Soon, the ruby slippers began to lose their bright red finish, turning darker and darker every second.

The Winkie guards were about to stab Harry and Curly, when suddenly-

"Leave her alone!" Harry demanded. Then, a bright light came from out of Harry's body, blinding everyone in the room.

Voldemort looked stunned. "So… you have somehow possessed the last bit of magic from the Light Stone." he stated, pausing the black magic he was using on Hermione. "It doesn't matter! I am much too powerful now. The magic of the Light Stone has nearly been diminished.

He then pointed his wand at Harry. "But… since you have it… I will simply finish you off myself!" He exclaimed, blasting Harry with the same black magic he had just been using on Hermione.

"Argh!" Harry bellowed in pain as the black magic began coursing through his body. "Peter! Do something!"

"Ha!" Voldemort laughed. "Peter can't hear you! He is completely under my spell! His shadow and all the powers of the Dark Stone belong to me now!" he declared.

Just when Harry thought all hope was lost-

Ron, Tootles, and Moira bursted through the door. "Step away from my friends! STUPEFY!" he yelled out, sending a stunning spell in Voldemort's direction.

Voldemort stuck his hand out, allowing the spell to bounce off of him.

Ron then charged at Voldemort, but Voldemort easily struck him down with a blast of magic.

Tootles was next to try and stop Voldemort, but Voldemort laughed because he knew Tootles didn't possess any sort of magic. "Puny muggle!" Voldemort then used his magic to lift Tootles up from off his feet and then flung him across the room, causing Tootles to slam into the wall, knocking him out instantly.

"STUPEFY!" Moira blurted, hitting Voldemort, catching him off guard.

"STUPEFY!" she yelled out again.

This time Voldemort managed to deflect the stunning spell. The ricochet bounced off him and hit Peter, causing Peter to fall over.

"You little wretch!" Voldemort exclaimed, using his magic to lift Moira up from off the ground, all while still pointing his wand at Harry, allowing the black magic to continue coursing through Harry's veins.

Voldemort then squeezed his hand, causing Moira's body to feel like it was being crushed.

Everyone was helpless to Voldemort's dark magic.

"Peter… please do something. Please help us." Moira begged as she felt the life being squeezed from her body.

Just then, Peter opened his eyes. He looked around to see what was going on. "Wendy?" he muttered, mistaking Moira for Wendy because Moira looked so much like Wendy when Wendy was that age.

Harry used the last bit of strength he had left to dig the Light Stone out of his pocket. He then tossed it near Peter's feet.

Peter looked down. He knew the only way Harry could have possessed the Light Stone was if Tinker Bell gave it to him. He also knew that meant Tinker Bell must be dead.

"Noooo!" He screamed, clutching the Light Stone in his hand and squeezing it tightly.

He then spotted his shadow. "It's time for you to stop wandering off!" He declared, holding out the stone, causing his shadow to draw nearer to him.

Voldemort couldn't do anything at the moment because both of his hands were busy controlling Moira and Harry.

"Light Stone, Light Stone, shining bright.

Release the Dark Stone of all its might!" Peter chanted.

Suddenly- Peter's shadow rejoined his body, causing the Light Stone to shine brighter than it ever has before.

Voldemort could feel the Dark Stone's magic leaving his body.

"NOOOOOOOO!" he cried.

Harry and Moira could also feel Voldemort's grip loosening.

With the last bit of Dark Stone magic Voldemort could whip up, he released Harry and Moira and then quickly vanished into a dark cloud of smoke.

Everyone in the room began to rejoice. They could also see out the windows that the dark clouds were dissipating and the plant-life was turning green again. Also, Hermione's slippers began changing back to their ruby-red shine once more.

The Winkie guards knelt before Peter. "You've done it! You've saved us from the evil wizard and restored the magic in the great Land of Oz!"

"Land of Oz?" Peter asked, showing a confused look on his face.

"It's a long story." Harry replied. "I will explain it to you while we make our way back to the Good Witch of the North and Captain Hook."

"Captain Hook? What is that swashbuckler doing here?" Peter exclaimed.

Moira stepped up to Peter. "It's okay. He actually came with us to try and help." she informed him, grabbing hold of his hand.

Peter looked closely at Moira. "You're not Wendy Darling."

"I am Wendy's granddaughter, Moira. She has told me all about you."

Later on, after traveling back to Munchkin Land, Harry told everyone what had happened at the witch's castle. Everyone celebrated, knowing the Wicked Witch of the West was dead.

"It looks like it is time for us to travel back to Neverland." Tootles piped up.

"Yes. And it is also time for us to go back to Hogwarts." Harry made mention.

"Actually… I would like to go back to Neverland with Peter and the Lost Boys." Moira spoke up.

Then, Captain Hook also spoke up. "And… I am staying here in the Land of Oz." taking hold of Glinda's hand. "Me and the Good Witch have formed quite a bond since we've been here." he smiled, Glinda reciprocated with a smile of her own. "Besides, there is nothing left for me in Neverland. Especially since the Jolly Roger has been shipwrecked here."

"How will we get back to Hogwarts?" Ron asked.

"Good question." Harry replied.

Just then, Hermione's ruby slippers began glowing bright.

"The slippers will show you the way." Glinda informed them. "Just click your heels together three times and say, there's no place like home."
