Alex had to admit that he had enjoyed that. He didn't understand the hatred that smug face had against him, but if he had to guess it had something to do with the fact that Yassen was training him.

One thing he had learned was that Yassen was respected in this world, in Scorpia. He was the top of the Scorpia agents, and of course someone that wanted to do the same would want the best teaching them.

Instead, the best of the best was spending his time training someone that didn't even want this, a child to make matter worse.

Of course, smug face hates him, Alex would be surprised if the other didn't resent him.

But to be fair even if Yassen wasn't training him, he doubted he would train anyone else. He certainly would train someone that was beaten by a schoolboy.

Not that Alex was taking pity on smug face, if he would to take pity on someone it would be himself. His life was turning to be a shit show in the last year.

So no, Alex wasn't sorry for smug face, in fact he would enjoy rubbing that fact in his face, just so he could watch his face turned into a ripe tomato.

Alex ate his lunch in silence, enjoying the moment of peace. He was halfway done with the meal when the others started to arrive, and to his enjoyment smug face held a noticeable limp appearing to be in pain while walking, and to pair with that Alex could see a bruise starting to form on his face.

Yassen must have noticed the satisfaction on his face "you shouldn't make more enemies than necessary"

"You were the one that made me fight him" Alex defended. Did Yassen forget that Alex wasn't the one who asked to fight with a man nearly twice his size. Besides, it wasn't Alex fault that smug face didn't like him.

"It was to help you to resolve your issues. It didn't help that you fought dirty"

"that's some bulshit, and you know it, you were the one to tell me to 'think outside the box'" Alex argued making air quotes with his hands" besides I did the world a favour, preventing more people with that face"

Yassen raised his eyebrows at the statement "lunch is over. It's time for your studies " Yassen finally said getting up. 'Great' Alex thought, following the assassin

As he was leaving he could feel the glare on his back, he guessed Scott wasn't that happy.

They walked to Yassen's office, at least that what Alex thought it was.

"We are only spending two hours here, before getting back to training" Yassen informed opening the door.

This time Alex didn't wait to be told before making is way towards his seat. His books were in the corner of the table right where he left them.

He took out a random book 'maths' was the chosen, before he remembers that he still didn't have a pen, having spent the last one Yassen had given him.

But before he could ask, Yassen took out a box and hand it to him. Alex stare it was full of pens, similar to the one that he had use the day before.

He slumped, now that he had at least twenty pens, it was useless drying them off. Alex wouldn't manage to bankrupt Scorpia through expensive pens, after all.

Through the next hours Alex manage to finish the chapter, halfway through Yassen had passed him a calculator, a simple one that barely did the job, nothing that Alex could have used to his advantage.

Just as Alex was finished Yassen got up, he guesses he wouldn't be given any break.

They went outside, the sun already weak, starting to go down, thankfully they were alone, the others were nowhere in sight, so there were no chance that Alex had to go against anyone other than Yassen, not that it was any better, but at least Yassen didn't have any grudge against him, or he didn't appear to have.

They stop halfway for Yassen to go fetch something, a large briefcase that Yassen took ignoring Alex's questions about its contents. He followed the assassin to the far end of the island, now it was even darker, the sun was starting to disappear slowly in the horizon, providing the land with the least an hour more of its light.

Yassen stopped, putting the briefcase on the ground opening it, inside were two pistols, Alex dreadfully noticed. For a moment Alex wondered if he should run, but looking around it was all a plain field with nowhere to cover. To be honest it was the perfect place for Yassen to put a bullet in Alex, away from any residential area, with the open sea close by to dispose the body.

Maybe the assassin was tired of Alex, probably had hoped Scott had broke Alex neck on the mat hoping that it would spare him the task. Maybe Scorpia had order it, realizing that he had to pay for ruining two of their plans.

Alex remained in his spot watching as Yassen took out the guns equipping it with a silencer, he didn't run, he didn't plead, in a terrifying moment he even welcomed the thought, he had nothing left, his only family had died, tom and Jack were better off alone, and maybe with his death it would stop Kyra from throwing herself in harms way looking for her parents killers, although Alex knew he had found them.

Yassen turned to look at him probably knowing what he was thinking "shooting lesson" he said gesturing to the distance where the shooting targets were almost hidden by the dark.

Alex almost sighed in relived, quickly masking it "I already know how to shoot" Alex pointed, but he had a suspicion that this fact wouldn't relive him of the lesson Yassen had planned, the same way it didn't in the morning.

"Shooting clay-pigeons is not the same, Alex" Yassen said as if it was obvious. Clearly, he was referring to his stay with the Friends, although Alex didn't know how Yassen got that information

"do you pride yourself of Stalking underage boys, or am I the only one?" Alex remarked, but regrated as soon he said it, it wouldn't be to is advantage to enrage Yassen, not when he had a gun in his hand. Factually Gregorovich ignore him, choosing to explain the exercise.

"I want you to try to shoot the centre of the target" Yassen said very straight forward pointing to the barely visible target in the distance. The assassin gave him a gun, but Alex noticed that he kept one for himself, clearly Yassen still didn't trust him. Alex found himself thinking that even if Yassen was unarmed, Alex wouldn't find in his heart to kill him. He wasn't a killer, he wasn't like grief, or Cray, and he certainly wasn't like Yassen

Alex raised the gun, pointing in the direction of the target, trying to make out the shape in the dark. It was pointless, the sun was already gone, there wasn't a single light outside.

"How am I supposed to aim if I don't even see the target" Alex said annoyed lowering the weapon.

" You saw it when we arrived, it is in the same place, imagine the target in your head. Aim and shoot" Yassen instructed as if it was a simple request.

Alex sighed, once again turning in the right direction, lifting the gun. He did as he was told, nevertheless he tried in vain to see the target, squinting his eyes, of course it didn't work. He took a deep breath, he closed his eyes trying to picture where he had seen the target when he got here. He aimed and he took a shot.

"Again" Yassen ordered. Alex didn't even know if he had manage to hit it, but he repeated the process. Yassen made him repeat half a dozen times. Kicking his feet apart to adjust his stance telling him to loosen his arm, until the assassin deemed acceptable, before order him to continue.

Alex didn't know how much time he stayed there but the temperature had dropped and the thin jacket he had dressed wasn't making much difference. He had lost count how many times he had emptied the chamber, Gregorovich of course took the opportunity to make him repeat loading the pistol again and again.

Once again the gun was empty and Alex was already moving to reload it once again when Yassen stopped him with a flick of his hand. Gregorovich took out a remote of his pocket clicking one of the buttons, Alex briefly wondered what he was doing before the field lighten up. A light had been turned on and suddenly Alex could see the target that he had been trying to hit.

He was shocked to see that the sheet of paper, was left barely hanging with multiple holes that had been pierced by the bullets fired by Alex. Yassen didn't say anything as he studied Alex target. He must have been pleased enough to end the lesson. Extending his hand towards Alex, in a silent request to be handed the gun still clutched in Alex hand. He reluctantly gave it back, although if he manages to keep it would be useless seeing that it didn't have any bullets.

They made their way back, Alex sighed in relief when entering the warm building. Yassen took him to dinner where almost everyone was finishing their meal, choosing that last moment of the day to relax and talk to each other. Alex, of course didn't have that privilege not that he wanted, or that anyone would want to talk to someone half their age for fun.

Curisusly, Yassen didn't join him at the table, choosing to join the other teachers that sat all together. Alex was left siting alone in an empty table, he didn't mind, he was tired and appreciated the moment of peace, without having Yassen breathing down on his neck watching his every move, although Alex knew that Yassen was still keeping an eye on him.

He probably stood out like a sore thumb to anyone that enter the room, not because of his age, but because he was the only person alone sitting in a room full of people. But Alex enjoyed, eating in peace, taking his time forking up the food. But that didn't last long. He was in the middle of cutting his chicken when someone sat in front of him, he looked up and almost yelled out in frustration, it was the fucking smug face. He honestly thought that he was done with him, but no, the guy didn't even let him eat in peace.

"What do you want? Another birth control" Alex knew that it wasn't wise to anger the man even more, he already hated him there was need to throw more wood to the fire, but Alex just couldn't help it.

"Joke while you can, rider" the guy sneered "you won't be joking when I put a bullet in your head" Scott threaten jabbing a finger in Alex forehead to make a point

"if you're good at shooting as you are fighting I don't think I have much to be worried" Alex retorted back shoving more food into his mouth

Apparently smug face didn't appreciate his joke because suddenly he punched the table making it rattle. That brought everyone's attention to them, including Yassen's that was getting up from his seat

"do you think you will last much longer here? You're the son of a traitor-"

"I advise you to choose your words very carefully" it was Yassen's calm voice that interrupted, Alex wondered how someone could threaten someone so calmly. Everyone was watching in silence waiting to see what would happen

Scott on the other hand was pale as if he had seen a ghost, although he probably was close to becoming one if he did something else that displeased the assassin.

"Malagosto is a place for training, not conflict. The people you train with are your future connections. I tough you would have learned that by now, but perhaps you're not fit for this school" Yassen had said shortening the distance between them. The tone remained calm as if he was talking about the weather, but everyone could understand the message behind it 'mess up one more time and you're dead'

Smug face instantly nodded his skin still pale "yes, Mr. Gregorovich, it won't happen again" he muttered like he was a kid pleading with the headmaster.

"Good, that's what I want to hear" Yassen said before turning his head to him "dinner is over". Alex got up from his seat leaving his tray behind, Smug face could clean that.

Yassen didn't comment on the incident on the way to the bedroom, only demanding his shoes back before closing the door. Alex guessed he still didn't trust him.

That night while laying in bed Alex reflected on his day, more specifically on the shooting range. He was ready to die, he thought that Yassen was going to kill him he had accept that, he didn't fear it. He wasn't even old enough to drive, but he had been ready to die back there. Alex had already made his decision, he didn't care that MI6 had killed his father, Scorpia was not the place for him, he would get out of here.
