Alador led the still embarrassed Amity down to his lab. Amity looked around and saw a lot of tools, a lot of purple stains, and a smell of smoke, which Amity figured came from some kind of tool, since she's never seen Alador smoke. The place was clearly where he worked a lot, and it was clearly messy, which is why she was surprised to see such clean and fancy looking bracelets on the table. Amity grabbed them and looked over them. They were made of metal, and they looked like they would cover a good half of her lower arm, from her wrist, to half way to her elbow.
"Why don't you try them on?" Alador said.
Amity looked confused, but did put them on. They fit perfectly and looked pretty nice.
"So, what are these, anyway?" Amity asked.
"Well, follow me." Alador said, walking to the other side of the room.
Amity followed, seeing a pile of Abomination goo. Alador smiled at her.
"Put your hands up." Alador said.
Amity was confused but did so.
"Give it a command."
Amity rolled her eyes, it wasn't like she could do magic so she didn't think this would work.
"Uh... Abomination... rise?"
The items on her wrists began to glow and that made her hands glow as well. They turned pink and the Abomination goo morphed into a real abomination. Amity looked stunned.
"They work as they were intended too, perfect." Alador said, "I wanted to make sure you won't be in a situation where you were vulnerable. You won't always have someone around to help, so I made these. They allow you to use abomination magic, despite your lack of a bile sac."
Amity looked at her wrists in shock. This is the first time she's gotten jewelry that she likes.
'Yep, I'm never taking these off.' Amity thought.
Elsewhere, Philip was thinking, it was clear that his attack failed, and he doubted that he could "save" the human from these witches as long as that disgusting hybrid is near her. He heard a laugh and growled in the direction of a cage.
"It would seem *Cough* my little cousin... is kicking your ass... with ease I might add."
Philip walked over to the cage and held out a light glyph, revealing Lilith Clawthorne. She was pale... well, paler. She had bloodshot eyes, a couple scars on her cheeks and neck, she was basically just bone wrapped in an incredibly thin layer of skin at this point, and her talk was barely above a whisper.
"You can laugh all you want, but with a simple petrification glyph, I could end you." Philip said.
"You won't... you haven't kept me alive for two years just to end me so easily." Lilith said, "You need me, you told me yourself, without me, all your research won't be of any use *Cough cough*… now, what are you going to do to me next?"
Lilith had a deranged smile, she knew he could hurt her all he wanted, but what she said was true, he needed her, and if he killed her, everything he's planning would be ruined.
"You may say that, but you're wrong." Philip said, "I need your sigil, I need to see the effect it has on others, so I can reverse it and use them to kill everyone. But I can't let you use the power you get, which is why I made sure you couldn't do magic in this cage."
"All I know is... I will get out of here, and I will kill you." Lilith said, "That's the only thing that's kept me alive this long... do your worst... I'm not afraid, because the more you do to me, I'll do to you tenfold."
