AN: This will be an Izuku focused chapter, next chapter will be split between Shoto and Bakugo. Otherwise, I hope you guys enjoy. Also, goodbye you little creep, so happy to not have you in my story already.
The testing moved along swiftly; students seemed to excel in different areas depending on how they could leverage their quirk to help them. He saw several interesting uses of powers including icing over the field to increase frictionless movement, blasting powers behind them to help accelerations, but probably the most flashy, was when Momo came to the ball throw. She unzipped her jacket to expose her stomach and before long began pulling, and pulling, and pulling. Sat in front of the class was now a large cannon of some sort, which Momo simply loaded the ball into and then pulled back on the arm sized firing mechanism causing the ball to fly and fly and fly. Izuku dutifully noted down the distance and gave her an encouraging grin.
As people moved from one exercise to another Izuku noted down who seemed to do what the best with notes. Todoroki Shoto seemed to have excellent control over his ice manipulation applying it to almost everything in one way or another, the same went for Ka-Chan who found a way to apply his quirk in new ways to amplify his scores. Others performed admirably in different ways, but as Izuku showed them every exercise, and recorded his own results, he found that Shoto, Bakugo and himself ranked amongst the top of the class in basically every exercise. Midway down the list those with real creativity shined applying their quirks in ways he was impressed by. As the scoring came in the bottom of the notes told him to announce the scores aloud to everyone and he did so.
"What will be doing now Midoriya-San?" Tenya Lida asked as the students congregated around him once again.
"That… is a good question, there aren't anymore exercises listed, and Aizawa said he would be back." Izuku said as he pondered what they should do. "Oh! I know. How about we go around and talk about our quirks, there will be classes where we have to work in teams so knowing about each other's quirks will be really helpful in those instances." Izuku said, internally however he added "and it will give me an advantage to knowing everyone's quirks for my notes later."
There was quiet talking going on around him so Izuku decided he would start this show off. "As a show of good faith, I'll go first. As I explained earlier, my quirk is kind of like a battery its name is Dynamo. I can use it to charge myself up with extra strength or speed, or I can give it to someone else, if I could have a volunteer?" He said and held out his hand to the crowd. Momo stepped forward pushing past some of the others.
"My own quirk, Creation, allows me to create items by burning my body fat. Do you know how it will interact with your own?" She said as she placed her own hand inside of Izuku's softly.
"If I had to take a guess, you will probably have to burn off much less of your body fat to create whatever you are focusing on." Izuku said thoughtfully, as the Seafoam colored sparks reappeared and danced along his upper arm, and slowly inched down towards their intertwined hands. They stopped just short of crossing dancing at Izuku's fingertips. "May I?" and with a nod the sparks made the jump sinking deep into the girl's arms tracing their way to her core where they plunged inward powering her quirk massively.
Momo stepped away then and pulled a rope from her arm, after examining it for a moment she exclaimed "amazing, simply incredible." The class gathered around the two of them then, fully encircling them. "This is thicker and more sturdy than a usual rope I can produce, and It took NO energy at all to create it. This is beyond words Izuku, and you say it has different effects for everyone based on their quirk?"
Izuku nodded his head, he could still tell there was energy latent in the girl's system he wasn't sure how exactly, but he just knew. "You should be able to run faster and punch harder as well. The power will remain until it burns out or is used up." Upon hearing this the crowd got restless all clamoring to go next and see what Izuku's quirk did to their own.
However, they never got the chance as at that moment Aizawa reappeared landing in the middle of the throng of students with barely a sound. "Alright listen up, Mineta has been expelled from the school." And with that all the energy in the area disappeared. Sudden Death. "You will be receiving a partial incident breakdown, but for now this should show the severity of any actions we choose to take." A moment later Mina Ashido reappeared to the group.
"Sorry, sir the uh, principle wanted to give me a few more words before I left.", Aizawa simply responded with a nod of his head. The girl then looked around at the destroyed field. "Woah did you guys get to use your quirks? That is so cool."
"Midoriya, why don't you run Ashido through the tests quickly so we can move on." Aizawa said as he looked over the scores and notes that had been taken. "Impressive work on the notes section btw, very analytical, very practical."
Izuku grinned as he grabbed the last ball from the bag and explained the mechanics of the test to the girl. She performed admirably in all the test using her Acid Production Quirk in a variety of ways, such as greasing the sprint track for faster movement, or applying a thin sheen of her acid to the metal of the stretch test so it slid further easier. After a few minutes in which Izuku became so absorbed in instructing he failed to notice that the rest of the class had been called back to the classroom with a note for him to meet them back there when they had finished the testing, they had finished.
"Alright that's the last test, you placed solidly in the middle of the pack if I remember the other scores accurately." Midoriya said as he sat on the bench and patted the spot next to him. As they rested the two exchanged small bits of talking, Izuku shared his quirk with her and told the story of what had happened with Yaoyorozu to her amazement, along with a promise that Izuku would do the same thing with her some time, which caused Izuku to blush slightly.
After Mina had regained her breath, they began towards the classroom before they got to the stairs where she visibly deflated. "Hey, are you okay?" Izuku asked as they stopped just short of stepping onto the stairs themselves.
"Uh, not really… This is where it happened…" Ashido whispered just barely audible to Izuku.
"Where what happened?" Izuku asked not thinking back to the start of class still too busy with all the information form the practical test he had conducted with everyone.
"That little freak Mineta attacked me." Ashido said quickly, and suddenly it was all tumbling out. "I was the last one to come from the classroom since I didn't have a quirk to get me out the window, and as I was walking through here there wasn't anyone here well as I was walking around the corner Mineta used his quirk on me to rip my skirt off." Izuku looked horrified at what she had just said, but she nodded her head to let him know that she wasn't kidding. He's suspended now, but it's just, I don't think I'll be able to go back near this set of stairs for a while."
Izuku nodded and lead them another way, a bit farther into the school where he knew an elevator existed for teachers, but he had seen the code being entered at least once. Once inside Mina shuttered as she thanked him, Izuku simply nodded and suggested perhaps she should ask for a special allowance to use this elevator from now on to avoid the stairs.
As they walked back into class Ashido retook her previous seat next to the invisible girl, Toru, who accepted her back with a hug. Izuku however walked up to Aizawa who nodded for him to approach. He explained her scores, and what had happened that it took them slightly longer to get back than normal.
"I'm sure that you know the details need to stay private unless she shares them. I will see about getting her a pass for the elevator that was good thinking on your part." Aizawa said gruffly as he dismissed Izuku back to his seat.
Izuku sat down at his desk, this was the first day, the first class even, of his hero career and tragedy had already struck one of their students. He couldn't help but to hope that it wasn't a sign of things to come.
