As Sylvie looked around, she realized she'd never had so many friends in her life. It seemed like no matter which direction she turned, there was someone she knew. Sure, she was closer to some than others, but there were still so many people who smiled and waved when they saw her. Who she was happy to see having a good time at prom.

The room was beautiful, with faux old stone walls dripping in fairy lights interspersed with large glass doors, open to let in the warm night air, and let out the party goers onto the balcony. Even from across the room the skyline looked stunning, and the first thing Sylvie wanted to do was head right out one of those doors. Unfortunately, for the moment they were trapped in line to get their official prom photo taken, so she was stuck people-watching for the moment, which wasn't so bad.

Wanda and Vis were just ahead of them, getting their picture taken. The two couples had driven together, blasting music and singing badly the whole way. Nat and Clint were scoping out the room together, having just finished getting their own photo. Nebula and Thor were laughing by the snack table, midway through filling up their plates. Sylvie hoped there were some chocolate covered strawberries left when they were done, since half of the platter seemed to be on Thor's plate (not that she could blame him). Val and Gamora were on the dance floor together, swaying to the slow song with their arms encircling each other's wastes and their eyes glowing with joy. Apparently Sylvie hadn't been the only one kissing someone other than her girlfriend on the day she'd gotten with Loki, which was good since it meant a clean breakup and remaining friendship.

Of course, Loki was right next to her, holding her hand loosely. She'd noticed in the time they'd been together that he was a rather touchy person. If they were together, he liked to always be holding her hand, having his arm around her, or at least close enough that they'd brush against each other. She'd never initiate it, but she loved how it made her feel secure.

When it was their turn, they stepped into the well lit photography space and decided on the classic her-back-against-him prom photo pose. When his arms came around her, Sylvie glanced up at her boyfriend, smiling affectionately as he smiled back down at her in the moment before the photo was taken. Or so she thought. The camera clicked before she had time to turn her gaze away from him, and the photographer grinned. "Perfect!" he exclaimed.

Both Sylvie and Loki looked at the screen that displayed the previous photo taken by the camera, and saw how absolutely smitten they both looked. "I love it," Loki grinned.

"Me too," Sylvie agreed.

Since they were happy with their shot, they moved on into the party. "Where to first?" Loki asked.

"Balcony," she answered right away, and took his hand to pull him willingly through the crowd.

The night air was warm and the city lights twinkled all around them. "When I heard they were having prom at a library I didn't think it would be…this," Sylive said.

"I didn't either," Loki admitted. "But I don't know how they'll top it next year."

"I don't know how anything will top this year," Sylvie smiled contently, leaning her head against him.

"Oh, I don't know about that. You'll be mine the entire time," he answered, and then softly kissed the top of her head.

"Have you been watching rom-coms with Wanda?" Sylvie teased him.

"Oh no, she's been watching them with me," he teased right back.
