A message to all:
Hello everyone, Suez here, writer of Re:Destiny. It's been a long time since I last updated the story. Not sure exactly how long, but it's been too long for sure.
As for why I wasn't writing. I kept going over the story in my head, over and over, and I realized that I wasn't happy with how it was going. My whole idea going into writing revolved around the events of Re:Zero coinciding with the events happening in the Destiny universe.
Regarding the "non-canon" Guardians and other characters. My idea was to have a set of characters that would act as conduits towards introducing the already established and well-known character. I wasn't happy with how slow I was taking it, or with how I was leading it on. Arc 6 of Re:Zero is an amazing set of volumes, and with how I wanted to go about writing it, I felt like I wouldn't do it as much justice. Which is why I decided to now scrap that idea.
I love writing, it's a brand-new passion that I found which honestly, one that I had no idea I was capable of. Which hurts even more that I want to scrap the current iteration of Re:Destiny.
Which is why I am scrapping the ideas I had and instead starting anew.
I'm going to start from scratch on Re:Destiny.
Instead of Arc 6, I'll be starting from Arc 7.
I have a few reasons for this, one being that I'm starting to go over Arc 7 myself and am having a lot of fun reading it. Second is that I could catch up on both stories better and have some more fluidity.
When I was rewriting the first two chapters, Lightfall was just around the corner, and I would've loved to write about Calus, the Witness and whatever other entity of the Light or Dark we'll encounter on Neomuna. Now with Lightfall out and Root of Nightmares being thoroughly scrounged for lore, I have a new piece I would love to tackle in later portions of the story.

As of now, I have written the first two chapters and I'll be posting them shortly.
I'm going to try to follow a two-chapter per post formula and see how that goes. Although at this point, I'll be posting the first chapter after this goes up, and the second chapter in the following days. I'm getting back together with my beta reader so it should smooth out as time goes on. At some point I would also love to incorporate some sort of art, either my own or any I commissioned.
Other than that, I don't have much else to say.

Thank you. It means a lot that you returned, even if its to just read this post. If you don't want to continue and wait for this new project then I understand, it's a pretty tall order to wait for something for so long and then have it canned and redone.
Either way, thank you to everyone for reading this post, see you in the first two chapters. I'll have them posted in the next few days!

I'm not familiar with halting/soft deleting a story, so hopefully I'll be able to update it correctly accordingly. If it's possible to "halt" one story, then I would love to know. I don't want to delete the original story, but at the same time I don't want attention diverted away from the new one.
