At Gus' House…
Gus was laying on his bed while he took some time to think about what he would do with his life, or what magic he should have.
For so long, he was the Illusionist, the smartest of smart witches, people whose thoughts and tactics were legendary and yet a craft believed untrue. Gus thought he was one of them, he could become part of the craft, and be as smart as the witches of the Illusion Coven. But if he was so smart, why was he making so many stupid mistakes? What happened to Willow was a wake-up call. If he couldn't even help her against those pixies, what good was he to others in the group? Gus kept thinking about mixing magic programs and wondered if his talents lay there.
Soon came a ringing of the scroll and she unveiled Willow, still covered in bandages from the attack.
"Hey, Gus. How are doing?" Willow greeted.
Gus looked relieved to hear from her since the attack.
"Willow, I'm glad to hear from you. I'm so sorry-."
"It's okay, Gus. I'm fine and thanks for sending me…"
Willow soon was surrounded by mini illusions of Gus as they were fretting and worried about her wellbeing. Gus cringed as he like he was being a pest to her. It seemed this type of magic was too much of a bargain for him.
"Don't worry about it. I'll be okay and back tomorrow, okay?" Willow assured but Gus still believed that illusion was not for him.
Within the Town…
Luz decided to accompany Gus to be there for emotional support.
"I could be on the Oracle track; I wouldn't mind talking to ghosts. Or maybe the Potions tack and mix up something good." Gus suggested.
"I thought you liked Illusion magic."
"Well, maybe I should try some new stuff, what you are encouraging everyone with mix tracks and coven. Maybe there is something better for me out there." Gus muttered, wanting to change the subject, "So, your dad told you about the human family members?"
"Yeah, he even took the name of one of them. Apparently, our ancestor's diary is in the family royal archive at the library. I was hoping you can tag along and see if we can find anything." Luz answered, not forgetting that conversation about illusion magic.
Just as they talk, there would be trouble in the form of a witch's Slitherbeast (Not Mr. Saltine) was on the rampage! It was trashing everything as the people were screaming and running away. Luz didn't see any of the Coven Scouts and knew it was up to her.
"Wait a moment, I have something to take care of," Luz informed her friend.
"Are you going to do the Alpha's Pack Cry? I heard about its power and want to check it out!" Gus squealed with excitement as he heard legends of the Seven Blessings of the Titan.
the Imperial's Encephalon.
Heart of the Unicorn.
Alpha's Pack Cry.
Seer of Unseen.
Dreamer's Wander.
Nature's Shepard.
Hands of Star's Diamonds.
So far Luz has two of the seven blessings and Gus badly wanted to see at least one.
Luz looked determined as the witches watched the princess, face the monster while shielding the child. The Slitherbeast growled as it was getting ready to charge. All the princess must do was be in range at its hearing and Luz can command it to stop. She's been practicing with her father and Eberwolf with her first blessing and now, she was going to try on purpose.
She took a deep breath as the monster charged at her! Everyone gasped, afraid that the princess and Braxas.
"Don't worry, I can handle this." The princess whispered with confidence as it drew close.
But before she can get into range, they came.
Bria, Gavin, and Angmar.
