Inside Adrian Graye Vernworth's sanctum…

The Master of the Mind, Head Adrian of the Illusion Coven was meditating to perfect illusions and sharpen his mind.

From thought alone, his room became a utopia of beauty and grace. From his imagination, he can create a world of beauty and wonder. Pages from a book can be brought to life and displayed for all to marvel at. In this tiny world, Adrian can make anything he desires. In his meditation, he feels the hesitation of the boy and the map in the hands of the younger brother of Stevetholomule, Mattholomule. He focused his energy to foresee what was happening…

Within the Town…

Luz decided to accompany Gus to be there for emotional support.

"I could be on the Oracle track; I wouldn't mind talking to ghosts. Or maybe the Potions tack and mix up something good." Gus suggested.

"I thought you liked Illusion magic."

"Well, maybe I should try some new stuff, what you are encouraging everyone with mix tracks and coven. Maybe there is something better for me out there." Gus muttered, wanting to change the subject, "So, your dad told you about the human family members?"

"Yeah, he even took the name of one of them. Apparently, our ancestor's diary is in the family royal archive at the library. I was hoping you can tag along and see if we can find anything." Luz answered, not forgetting that conversation about illusion magic.

Just as they talk, there would be trouble in the form of a witch's Slitherbeast (Not Mr. Saltine) was on the rampage! It was trashing everything as the people were screaming and running away. Luz didn't see any of the Coven Scouts and knew it was up to her.

"Wait a moment, I have something to take care of," Luz informed her friend.

"Are you going to do the Alpha's Pack Cry? I heard about its power and want to check it out!" Gus squealed with excitement as he heard legends of the Seven Blessings of the Titan.

the Imperial's Encephalon.

Heart of the Unicorn.

Alpha's Pack Cry.

Seer of Unseen.

Dreamer's Wander.

Nature's Shepard.

Hands of Star's Diamonds.

So far Luz has two of the seven blessings and Gus badly wanted to see at least one.

Luz looked determined as the witches watched the princess, face the monster while shielding the child. The Slitherbeast growled as it was getting ready to charge. All the princess must do was be in range at its hearing and Luz can command it to stop. She's been practicing with her father and Eberwolf with her first blessing and now, she was going to try on purpose.

She took a deep breath as the monster charged at her! Everyone gasped, afraid that the princess and Braxas.

"Don't worry, I can handle this." The princess whispered with confidence as it drew close.

But before she can get into range, they came.

Bria, Gavin, and Angmar.

Using their combined forces, they were able to create a shield, then dealt with the animal and tied it down. Braxas was safe but Luz disappeared as Spade came with a Beast-Keeping Witch Student.

"Snickers, there you are! I am so sorry she caused trouble; she ran away from her shots." The witch apologized as he took the pet away.

"I was just there to get the papers for Cheesecake's next appointment for my uncle when all that craziness happened. Thanks again, though my cousin could have handled that mess herself." Spade added, "Who are you lot?"

They kneeled before one of the princes of the royal family.

Spade rolled his eyes at them as Gus approached them.

"You-you guys were amazing, I've never seen such comradery with three others before." Gus complimented, the three shocked that he wasn't bowing to Spade.

"Yeah, they seem pretty synchronized. Maybe we should try it with the others, Gus." Spade wondered as they were more surprised.

"You-you know Prince Spade?" The girl gasped.

"We became friends when my cousin introduced us. He is quite a formidable witch, a prodigy." Spade proudly explained, "He's pretty awesome, even at mine, Will's, and Hunter's league. He's a smart cookie."

Gus blushed as the three marveled at the boy. After all, if a member of the Royal family shows such praise, then he must be truly powerful.

"Forgive us, we did not know we were in the presents of an imposing witch. I am Bria, these are my companions, Gavin, and Angmar. We are simply humble witches in the presence of the prince and one of his compatriots." Bria bowed with the other two.

"It is an honor to be in your presence," Gavin added.

"Highest." Angmar finished.

Gus knew somewhat of how Luz felt now.

"Please don't do that," Gus asked.

Bria smiled as she rose with the other two, just as Mattholomule appeared with the map.

"Got the map, only took fifty noogies from my older brother!" He declared while panting, "Sorry I was late. G-got to save some b-babies from a fire."

Spade rolled his eyes again; he could smell a lie from miles away.

"The maps to the Looking Glass Ruins?"

"The Looking Glass Ruins? But that's a sacred place, only Illusionists are allowed there. They protect the sacred Gladderstones, which are forbidden to use or take." Spade coldly informed the laws.

"But we're not going to take them. We're going to protect them. You know from those crazy evil witches who are causing trouble." Bria lied.

Adrian smiled as it seemed that not one, not two but three would be going on this little quest. He watched as Luz appeared from out of nowhere from her invisibility spell (such a showman, like her father), receiving bows from the brats again, then asking them to stop. She then gives Gus her glyphs, since he was touchy on the subject of illusions. Luz then mentions something about the family archives.

"My beloved Mirror Mirage, have the promotion requests for Amity Blights ranking from Assistant Librarian to Imperial Knowledge Keeper arrive, yet," Adrian asked his palisman.

The gargoyle squeaked and nodded while holding its powerful mirror.

"Good boy, one less thing to worry about before performing our grand play."
