Speaking
Daredevil was jumping and running on the rooftops of Hell's Kitchen. He was going towards Orion. He wanted to listen to suspicious activities within the company. He already was listening to chatter within the company few times during the night but couldn't hear anything suspicious. He thought that he would have breakthrough evidence for Orion.
Daredevil was hiding behind a wall that on a nearby rooftop. He was crouching. He tilted his head to listen to chatter within the company. He knew that the company was closed for tonight as it was already near midnight. He knew that there would be couple security guards on the ground floor. He knew few entrances where he could enter undetected. He knew that there were security alarms by every single entrance. He knew there were cameras on the ground floor and hallways. He knew where the electrical circuits are. He could shut the lights and power off and enter the company building undetected. Then he could go to the upper floors where he suspected that there was evidence or anything related to the evidence. He knew that under the company building are parking garages. He could enter but he would likely go up against the security guards. Not that they were difficult to dispatch. He didn't want to attract attention. He knew building's layout. He mapped it out with his senses. He tilted his head to listen.
"You check every floor?", one man asked. "Yeah I did. Every floor is clear.", other man said. "Are the others checking the parking garage?", the first man asked. "Yeah they are. They should confirm that the parking garages are clear.", the second man said. "Alright. Will wait for the confirmation.", the first man said. "I'll go sit down by the booth.", the second man said. Daredevil the shifted his senses to the parking garage.
"The back of the parking garage is clear.", a man said through his waki-taki. "Everything's clear on the front of the parking garage.", a second man said. "The left side of the parking garage is clear.", the third man said. "The right side of the parking garage is clear too.", fourth man said. "Should we go back to the camera room?", the first man said. "Yes.", the second man said. "Yes.", the third man said. "Yes.", the fourth man said. Daredevil then shifted his senses to the upper floor.
He was listening if there were any secret rooms within the upper floors. If there were going to be any people going in out of the secret rooms. He was listening to the big conference room, if there were any people there who shouldn't be when the company was already closed. He didn't hear anything suspicious which frustrated him. Growling in frustration, Daredevil got up and walked to the other side of the rooftop. Daredevil then jumped into the night.
Two hours later Daredevil was patrolling the streets. He stopped few muggings, car jackings, robberies and fights. He was brimming with adrenaline. It was already past 2AM. He wanted to patrol for few more hours and then go home. Currently he was standing to the rooftop listening to various people around Hell's Kitchen. He heard few criminals from few blocks away. He then ran towards the edge of the rooftop. Daredevil then jumped into the night.
After dispatching few criminals and thugs for the past hour, Daredevil was jumping and running on the rooftops. He beat up a lot of criminals and thugs tonight. He felt satisfied when the police picked them up and drove them to the jail. He knew that some of them police were searching for the criminals in the past couple of weeks. As he was standing on a rooftop listening to the sound of the city, he heard a car stop in an alley. He then heard three men exit the car. He listened as they entered a apartment complex. He listened as they entered the elevator. He realized that they have guns. Daredevil then immediately ran towards the apartment complex.
As Daredevil ran and jumped on the rooftops towards the apartment complex, he heard the three thugs say that they only needed to kidnap a woman and bring her to the location. He was already on the rooftop of the apartment complex. He heard clanking of a fire escape. Daredevil immediately walked down the fire escape as he heard three thugs enter the hallway. Daredevil knew the exact apartment the thugs where going to break in. He broke into the apartment as he stepped inside. He knew that the woman who the thugs wanted to kidnap wasn't in the apartment. He heard one of the thugs picking a lock as they were standing still. Daredevil was already hidden in the shadows. Daredevil was waiting for the thugs to enter the apartment.
The three thugs entered the apartment. They were walking through a hallway. On their left was the bathroom and on the right was what they assumed a guest bedroom. Daredevil was hiding in the living room. He knew they were walking towards him. On their right they opened a door that showed a bedroom. When they saw that no one was there they closed the bedroom. Then they walked. On their left was another door. They opened it and saw that it was a bedroom. They closed the door and walked forward through the hallway. Then they saw that the hallway was going towards the left and right side. On the both sides they saw open spaces. They couldn't see where the master bedroom was. The two of the thugs went left and the other one went right. As soon as Daredevil heard the thug enter the kitchen he lunged towards the thug and punched him with his left arm and uppercutted him with his right hand. The thug fell to the floor and was instantly knocked out. Daredevil heard that the other two thugs turned around in the direction where the other thug was at and slowly walked towards the right side of the hallway. Immediately Daredevil took out his billy club and threw it towards the two thugs. The billy club connected with the first thug who was knocked out immediately and fell down to the floor. Daredevil then lunged at the second thug and tackled him. He punched the thug twice knocking him out. He then got up and took the billy club from the floor and put it back on the holster.
Daredevil then handcuffed the two thugs and walked over where third was knocked out. He realized that he would take him to the roof and interrogate him. He then walked back where the other two thugs were laying and picked up effortlessly. He knew that they weighed less than him. He then walked over to the apartment door. He stepped outside and put the two thugs on the floor in sitting position. He then walked back to the apartment and closed the door. He then walked throughout the hallway. He heard a door opened from the other side of the apartment hallway as a couple stepped out and saw two people laying on the ground. Few moments later he heard them call the police as they realized that they could be criminals. Daredevil walked back towards the thug who was knocked on the floor and picked him up. He then walked towards the window. He pulled the thug through window. Daredevil then stepped outside of the apartment. He rolled the window down and then he picked up the thug again as he walked up the fire escape.
Minutes later Daredevil found a rope and tied to a rooftop door. He then put the rope around thugs ankles and picked him up. "Wake up!", Daredevil said in a low deep voice as he slapped the thug. The thug groaned and slowly opened his eyes. As he saw Daredevil he quickly panicked. "Please-please.", the thug said with fear in his voice. "Why did you want to kidnap the woman?", Daredevil asked in a low deep voice. "We were—were supposed to—to kidnap her—her and bring her to—the location we—we were informed—informed of.", the thug said as he stammered. "The name of the woman?", Daredevil asked in a deep low voice. "Walker. Jeanette Walker.", the thug said with fear in his voice. "So you wanted to kidnap her to get to George Walker?", Daredevil said in a low deep voice. Thugs eyes widened. He gulped. "Yes—yes. But we were—were supposed to—to only kidnap her—her. Bring her—her to our—our employers.", the thug stuttered in fear. "Who's your employer?", Daredevil asked in a low deep voice. "I—I don't know—know. They never—never gave us a—a name.", the thug stuttered in fear. Truth. Daredevil thought. "Tell me what you know.", Daredevil said in a low deep voice. "I've heard—heard that they—they are working with—with a third party. Our—our employers asked—asked us to do—do this job. We accepted.", the thug stuttered in fear. "Who's the third party?", Daredevil asked in a low deep voice. "I—I don't know—know their name.", the thug stuttered in fear. Truth. Daredevil thought. "Why did the third party ask your employers to do this?", Daredevil asked in a low deep voice. "Because they—they didn't want it to—to be traced back to—to them.", the thug said in fear. "Why did you do this?", Daredevil asked in low deep voice. "Because of—of money. They—they gave—gave us money.", the thug said in fear. Daredevil then connected the puzzle pieces. He knew about who the thug was talking about. Daredevil then let the man's collar go and took a step back.
"Are—are you gonna let—let me go?", the thug asked in fear. "Why would I do that?", Daredevil said in a low deep voice. "Well—well I gave you information—information in exchange for letting me go.", the thug said in fear. "I never agreed to let you go.", Daredevil said with anger in his voice. As the thug wanted to answer him, Daredevil pushed the man over the rooftop ledge. The man screamed as he was falling upside down with rope tied to his left leg. Then he stopped falling as the rope stopped. The man was hanging upside down few feet in the air. Daredevil heard a person open a window. The person gasped as she saw a man hanging upside down. She then immediately took her phone from the night stand and called 911. Daredevil then jumped into the night.
Daredevil was running and jumping on the rooftops as he was going towards Sarah's apartment. He already knew that she was sleeping but he had to wake her up. He had to tell her about Ms. Walker and the reason the three thugs wanted to kidnap her. He thought that Sarah would understand the situation.
Daredevil was already on the fire escape. He realized that Sarah was in the bathroom. He sensed that she woke up to go the bathroom. He then listened as she got out of the bathroom. Daredevil then knocked three times on her window. Sarah realized that it was Matt and walked over to the window. She opened the blinds and then the window. Daredevil then stepped into her apartment. Sarah then closed the window and then the blinds. "Sorry for interrupting your sleep.", Daredevil said a he took of his mask. "It's alright. I woke up to go to bathroom.", Sarah said as she waved her hand dismissively. "Alright.", Matt said. "You got some news?", Sarah asked Matt as she furrowed her brows. "Yes. I also wanted to hear the sound of your voice again.", Matt said while smirking. Sarah blushed red. She tried to fight the blush but to no avail. "Alright—alright.", Sarah said breathlessly. She then composed herself to form a coherent sentence. "Say it then.", Sarah said. "It's about tonight what I've found out about a thug that knew something important.", Matt said.
A/N: Matt investigates Orion again. But he doesn't hear any suspicious activity. He then stops three thugs from breaking into the apartment of Jeanette Walker. One of the thugs tells him everything he knows. About the woman, his employers "the third party." He then goes back to Sarah's apartment to tell her all of this. What will Sarah say about this intel?
