Training

"The news is regarding tonight.", Matt said. "Alright. Let me hear it.", Sarah said groggily. "In the middle of my patrol I've heard three thugs trying to break into a big apartment. I went there and I broke through the window. Nobody was in the apartment. I heard them say that they their job was to kidnap the woman and deliver her to the location.", Matt said. "Wow. Why did they want to kidnap the woman?", Sarah asked with a hint of worry in her voice. "I dispatched the thugs and brought one of them to the roof. I interrogated him and he told me that they were hired by a criminal organization. I think it's the Dogs Of Hell. He also said that they were working with a third party. I asked for the name but he didn't know and then threw him off the roof after he told me to let me go. The rope restrained him and he was dangling upside about few feet in the air.", Matt said with a hint of anger in his voice. "Matt! Are you insane!?", Sarah shouted. "He's going to be okay.", Matt said. "Okay!? You could've—", Matt put his gloved finger onto Sarah's lips. "Shhhhh. I knew everything about it. That's why I tied his ankle with a rope.", Matt said softly. Sarah calmed down for a bit and relaxed. Matt retreats his gloved finger. "Okay. Okay. I'm sorry for the little outburst but you should've—", Sarah was interrupted by Matt. "I get it Sarah. It's alright. The police took the thug to custody.", Matt said reassuringly.

"Alright. You said that the three thugs were hired by the Dogs Of Hell?", Sarah asked. "Yeah I think so.", Matt said. "What's the womans name?", Sarah asked. "Jeanette Walker.", Matt said. "George's wife.", Sarah said. "Yeah I saved her two nights ago from three members of the Dogs Of Hell. She went to the 15th precinct. I think she's still in police custody. She gave statements to the police when George went hiding.", Matt said. "It's good that she's in police's custody. But why would the Dogs Of Hell try to assault her and then few nights ago three thugs that they hired trying to kidnap her.", Sarah said as she furrowed her brows. "To get to George. Get him to leave his hideout.", Matt said. "That makes sense. But I don't think that the Dogs Of Hell wanted to do anything about this. If the thug said that they are working with a third party that means they made some sort of deal.", Sarah said. "Yeah. My theory is that "the third party" told them to do this mission or whatever it is and the Dogs Of hell hired some street thugs from poor neighborhoods of Hell's Kitchen. Because "The third party" didn't want the kidnapping to go back tracing to them. They wanted George to leave his hideout because his wife was kidnapped.", Matt said. "Good theory. The most plausible one. But George's wife is in police custody, which is good, because whoever "the third party" is they can't get her and that leaves them out of many options. If they couldn't George's hideout after all this time, they can't get to Jeanette.", Sarah said. "Yeah. I think so too. I think Orion is behind this. Whoever their Board Of Directors or CEO's is.", Matt said. "Could it be The Hand behind this?", Sarah asked. "They could be. But we don't have enough evidence.", Matt said. "We look for the evidence. We have to prove that The Hand was behind this.", Sarah said determingly. "Yeah. There are few cops from the precinct keeping tabs on Orion. Even throughout the night. After George went into hiding.", Matt said. "Really? I didn't know that.", Sarah said. "Yeah. For the past week or so.", Matt said. "That's good.", Sarah said. "Yeah. I need to go now. Back to my place. You go back to sleep. You need it.", Matt said as he put his helmet back on. "So bossy.", Sarah said while smirking. Matt smirked. He then turned around and walked towards the window. "Matt?", Sarah said nervously. "Yeah?", Matt said as he turned his head around. "I would like you to teach me some of your self defense techniques.", Sarah said. "Okay. The gym is on 22nd and 10th. A couple of blocks away from my apartment.", Matt said. "Okay. I'll be there. Can we meet up in front of the gym tomorrow night? At 8PM?", Sarah asked. "Yeah. We can. I'll be there at 8PM. Goodnight Sarah.", Daredevil said. "Goodnight Matt.", Sarah said. Daredevil then opened the blinds. He then opened the window and he stepped outside on the fire escape. Sarah closed the window and put the blinds back on. Daredevil then jumped into the night.

The next morning Matt woke up around 9AM. He got up and walked to the bathroom. He cleaned his face with water and brushed his teeth. He walked towards the kitchen. He made himself ham and eggs. He also made himself some coffee. As he ate he thought about everything. He thought about The Hand. Their plans and goals for the city. He thought about reaching out to Stick but he changed his mind. He knew Stick would use him for his own agenda as he always did, but he didn't use him the last time they fought against The Hand. Stick told him about The Hand's history. Some of the plans that he knew. Matt also thought about Elektra. How after his talk with Sarah about her he felt more lighter. Like the pressure was taken off his shoulders. He also realized that he hadn't visited her grave for a month. He needed to do that soon. Matt thoughts shifted to Sarah. Ho they are working together to take down a part of The Hand that's in their city. He still felt that he needed to protect her from them. He knew she could take care of herself in a fight but The Hand's ninja were a little more powerful than her. He would teach her to be stronger, to use her speed and the environment around her. He knew he had to this. It was for her improvement as a fighter.

Matt then finished eating his breakfast and got up and walked towards the kitchen. He then put the dirty dishes in the sink. Matt then walked back to the bedroom. He took a black suit, with white dress shirt and black shoes. Matt then walked back to the living room and took his cane and red sunglasses. He decided to go to the 15th precinct and talk to Mahoney.

Matt was already near the 15th precinct. He knew what he had to ask Mahoney. Maybe Brett would tell him about the last nights events. Matt then walked while tapping his cane towards the building. Few moments later he was in front of the 15th precinct. He opened the door and went into the precinct.

As usual the place was bustling with police officers, detectives, criminals, convicts, lawyers and civilians. Matt made his way towards the reception desk while tapping his cane. "Excuse me.", Matt said to the young lady on the desk. "Hi. What brings you here?", the young lady asked. "I'm here to speak to Sargent Detective Brett Mahoney.", Matt said. "Alright. I'll call him right up.", the young lady as she picked up a telephone and started dialing a number. "Thank you.", Matt said as he flashed a charming smile. The young lady blushed red. Matt smiled. He then turned around to wait for Brett Mahoney.

"Murdock.", Brett said as he walked towards Matt. "Sargent Detective.", Matt said. "Got some new leads?", Matt asked. "About George. No. But two nights ago his wife was nearly assaulted by three members of the Dogs OF Hell until Daredevil dispatched and handcuffed them for us.", Brett said. "That happened?", Matt said as he furrowed his brows. "Yeah. It did. We arrested them and now they're in jail. They bond wasn't posted. So they'll be in jail. They have admitted to nearly assaulting the woman. So we charged them with physical assault. Along with other charges.", Brett said. "Did the Dogs Of Hell react to this?", Matt asked. "They tried giving us money to release them from our custody but we said no. They know that they can't attack us.", Brett said. "Good.", Matt said.

"And last night three thugs tried to break into George and his wifes apartment. They were stopped by Daredevil. Our guys are still at the scene. Trying to gather evidence. Two thugs were handcuffed and knocked out by Daredevil in front of the apartment door. We found the third dangling upside down with rope tied to his ankles.", Brett said. "Wait. This happened last night?", Matt asked as he gripped his cane tighter. "Yeah it did. The three thugs wanted to kidnap his wife. But they didn't know that she's in our custody. I think the thugs were hired by some criminal organization to carry out this job.", Brett said. "They wanted to kidnap his wife. Then they would get to George and he would leave his hideout. Wherever George now is, he better stay there until we find a way to contact him discreetly.", Brett said. "Did his wife press charges against the three members of the Dogs Of Hell?", Matt asked. "No. She doesn't want to attract attention to whomever wants to get her to get to George. After she gave her statement we drove her to one of the rundown hotels with a few undercover police officers. Few people have been there before who've been witnesses.", Brett said. "That's good. Keep her there until you find George. Then when all of this is over get them safely out of the city.", Matt said. "I will.", Brett said. "How do you think this could be? Trying to get to her to get to George?"., Matt asked. "Two nights ago three members of the Dogs Of Hell tied to get to Jeanette. Last night three thugs tried to get to her too. The three thugs were hired. I've been closely investigating recruitment of young people around poor neighborhoods by criminal organization. Daredevil told me that it was the Dogs Of Hell who were recruiting young people in to their criminal organization. I think there's a pattern here. I think the Dogs Of Hell hired these three thugs, no questions asked to kidnap Jeanette Walker. I don't think they are interested in George and his evidence. They want money. I think they are working with someone. Who wants George, because of what happened in court. But they want all of this that happened be traced back to them. If anything the Dogs Of Hell will take the blame. While the people who want George for what happened in court or the aftermath of it will waltz right out and nobody will notice their suspicious activities.", Brett said. "Good theory.", Matt said. "Yeah. This is the most plausible theory. Ever since we started searching and looking for George throughout the city we've kept tabs on Orion Limited. The company where George's money was stored. We have few undercover police officers who are near the buildings perimeter day and night.", Brett said.

"That's good. Just still keep tabs on the company. Maybe you'll get a breakthrough.", Matt said. "Same. We'll still look for George. I'll keep you posted.", Brett said. "Alright.", Matt said. "I gotta go now. Bye Murdock", Brett said as he started walking in opposite direction. "Bye Brett.", Matt said as he started walking towards the precincts exit while tapping his cane.

It was already around 1PM as Sarah was sitting on her dinning table. She was eating her lunch. She made herself some spaghetti. She ate as she thought everything. She thought about her P.I job. How she started. How this case that she's been working is a breakthrough for her career as a P.I. Her thoughts shifted back to Matt. How she met him. How she found out his secret identity. How he's working with her on this case. She realizes that he cares deeply about her and that he wants to protect her from The Hand. The way Matt cares deeply about Sarah makes her cheeks blush red. He really does care about me. Sarah thought. She also thinks about how both of them have come far. In their friendship and relationship. They would occasionally flirt which makes Sarah smirk. But also the way he hugs her, kisses her on her forehead, if he would only lower his head and she would've lifter her head up to kiss him—

Sarah snapped away from her thoughts about Matt as she drank water. She then got up and walked over to the kitchen with dishes in hand. She put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher. She then turned on the dishwasher. Sarah then walked back to her bedroom. She logged on her computer and started researching about Orion. After an hour of research she started to write down the notes.

Orion Limited LLC. Founded three years ago here in the city. CEO's name is Jason Hyde. The company itself is moving, keeping and storing money of their clients. There have been few clients who complained about the companies policy conduct but they never wanted to sue them in court of law. The past two months the company has been sued by few clients who claimed that the company stole their money from their accounts that the company had. They called police and they checked the accounts and the accounts were normal. Then the company counter sued the clients. All of the clients lost the case in court and had to pay the company for damages. While the company seemingly gave them back their money. All of them payed the company as it was stated in the lawsuit. Only George Walker didn't pay the money to the company. He then went into hiding. I believe the company want to get to him. This is all I know about Orion.

After Sarah finished writing she logged off her computer and put the file she created into one of the cabinets. She then got up and closed her bedroom door. She then walked over to her bed and jumped on it. She set her alar to wake her up around six. A few minutes later Sarah's breathing evened out and her eyes closed as she fell asleep.

The next night Matt was already walking towards Fogwell's while tapping his cane. He knew Sarah was already there as he focused his senses on her. Her heartbeat, her breath, her body temperature. Get a hold over yourself Murdock. Matt thought. He really should stop sensing all parts of her body. They were friends he thought. But they had some tender and intimate moments that made him question the nature of their relationship. He questioned when he had free time throughout day or night. He thought what if feel like to press his lips against hers. Matt immediately shook his head. What if she isn't thinking about the same thing like me? After she heard which kind of relationships I had in the past. Matt thought. Matt also listened if there were any people who followed her to the Fogwell's, who watched from a certain distance. After coming to a conclusion that nobody was following her Matt turned right and he knew he was just a block away from Fogwell's.

"Hey Matt.", Sarah said. "Hey Sarah.", Matt said as he approached her. "So this is the gym Fogwell's. Looks old school.", Sarah said as he glanced around the gym's entrance. "Yeah it does.", Matt said with a smile on his face. He then walked towards the door. He opened the door with a key and side stepped. "After you.", Matt said as he gestured into the gym. "Thank you.", Sarah said as she started walking. Sarah then entered the gym. "Wow. It's definitely old school.", Sarah said as she glanced around the gym. "Yeah it is.", Matt said as he chuckled. As Sarah glanced around a poster caught her eye. She looked at it and grimaced. "My dad's last fight. The same night he got shot.", Matt said with a neutral voice. "I'm so sorry Matt.", Sarah with sadness in her voice. She still felt sad for Matt. For his dad. For his tough past. "It's alright. I got over it long time ago.", Matt said as he put his jacket on the hanger. "You should change. There's a second changing room right down the hall left.", Matt said as he put his bag on the bench beside the ring. "Alright.", Sarah said as she started walking towards the changing room.

Few minutes later Sarah returned to the gym's main area with her workout bag. She put the workout bag on the bench. She saw Matt had already tapped his knuckles. "So uh, we'll start with some stretching exercises and then we will transition to the punching bag behind you. After we both warmed up we both will go to the ring and spar.", Matt said as he completely tapped his knuckles. "Sounds good.", Sarah said. "We'll do some stretching exercises now.", Matt said as he walked on the centre of the mat. Sarah followed him.

For the next few minutes Matt and Sarah did some head, arm, leg body and ankle stretches. Sarah watched as Matt did stretches effortlessly, as if I was gymnast. During on the stretches she would stare at him and he would notice and then smirk at her which in turn made her laugh and shake her head. Then they went over to the punching bag. "I'll hold the punching bag. You show me what you got.", Matt said. "Alright.", Sarah said as she readied herself to start on the punching bag. For the next few minutes Matt listened as Sarah worked on the punching bag. Punches, kicks, elbows, knees. Matt realized that Sarah had a great punching and kicking technique. Few minutes later Sarah stopped working on the punching bag to catch her breath. She didn't want to drink her water because she wasn't thirsty. "You have a great technique. But I realized that sometimes you over extend your right arm after you did a jab. You should be able to retract your hand after you punch the punching bag. If you don't, your opponent will use that to the advantage.", Matt explained to Sarah. "Here let me show you how to retract your right hand quickly.", Matt said as he took Sarah hands into his own. Matt positioned himself behind Sarah who in turned blushed red and her breathing hitched. Matt then slowly took her hands into his and showed her how to retract her hand quickly. "Your fighting stance is great. You draw your punch from your legs and then it's all in the hips.", Matt said as he demonstrated the technique. Sarah was distracted by the feel of his sweaty body on hers as she grew hot and bothered. "I—I think I—I know how—how to do—do it.", Sarah said breathlessly. "You sure?", Matt asked. "Yeah—yeah.", Sarah said breathlessly. "Alright.", Matt said as he retraced his hand from hers and took a step back. Sarah winced at the sudden loss of his body warmth, but she knew she had to focus at task in hand. She then punched and kicked a bag for the next few minutes. She corrected her mistake of outstretching her right hand after the jab. She jabbed and then punched with her right hand and immediately retracted her hand to her fighting stance. She kicked and punched with some knees and elbows. After a few minutes Sarah stopped punching and kicking the punching bag.

"I'm impressed. You're also a fast learner", Matt said with a smile on his face. Sarah blushed red. "Thank—you.", Sarah said breathlessly.. "No problem.", Matt said as he still smiled at her. Sarah then walked over to the bench and took out her water bottle from her workout bag. She drank one gulp and put her water bottle back in the workout bag. "Now we will step into the ring.", Matt said as he hopped on the edge of the ring. "Okay. Lead the way", Sarah said as she took Matt's hand to list herself up on the edge of the ring. Matt then separated the ropes for Sarah to enter. "Thanks.", Sarah said as she stepped into the ring. Matt smiled at her. "What we will do now is spar. I just want to feel your fighting technique and to see if you should improve something. Okay?", Matt said. "Okay.", Sarah said. "Then show me what you got Sarah.", Matt said her name a with a hint of a flirting tone. Sarah blushed red and started to spar against Matt.

For the past few minutes Matt and Sarah have been sparing as well flirting, Both of them wanted to say a flirty remark to distract each other from the sparing. "You're going easy on me in this sparing session Mr. Murdock.", Sarah said with a flirty tone. Matt chuckled. "Nonsense Ms. Riley.", Matt said with a flirty tone. Sarah blushed. Matt then swung his left fist at her but Sarah dodged to the left and tried to hit him with a two piece combo. But Matt effortlessly dodged her punches. "It seems like you're taking it easy on me in this sparring session Ms. Riley.", Matt said I a flirty tone. Sarah smirked. "Nonsense Mr. Murdock.", Sarah said in a flirty tone. Sarah then tried to swing her left and right fists at Matt both he dodged her punches effortlessly. "I thought you would be a better fighter Ms. Riley.", Matt said in a flirty tone. Sarah chuckled. "I'll show you who's better.", Sarah said in a flirty tone. "I'm waiting.", Matt said in a flirty tone. Sarah then tried to punch him with her left and right wrists. Matt dodged her punches. She then tried to kick Matt's body with her right leg but Matt caught her right leg. As Matt sweeped Sarah's right leg she started falling down on the ring floor, but she grabbed Matt by his neck and yanked him down. Matt ended up on top Sarah. They were both panting for breath after their intense sparing session. Suddenly Sarah felt a bit damp between her thighs. "Looks like I'm the winner.", Sarah said breathlessly. She was feeling a bit aroused by this position that her and Matt found themselves in. "No. I think I've won—", Matt was interrupted by Sarah who suddenly hugged him tightly and flipped him over. Now Sarah was on top of Matt. "Ooops. Looks I'm still the winner.", Sarah as said as she was inching her face closer to Matt. "That's not fair. I should've won.", Matt said breathlessly as he felt Sarah's breath on his jaw. "I think it is.", Sarah said as she inched her face closer to Matt's. Sarah was inching closer to Matt's face. He didn't stop her moving. They could feel each other breath as their face were so close for a kiss—

Foggy. Foggy. Foggy. Suddenly both Matt and Sarah got startled by the beeping sound. Sarah realized that she was so close to Matt's face that she immediately retreated. "I need to get that.", Matt said as he tried to get up. Sarah then got up and took a step back. "Uhhhhh It's getting late, you should change.", Matt said with a bit of edge in his voice as he stepped outside of the ring. "Alright—alright.", Sarah said breathlessly. She then stepped outside of the ring and took her workout bag from the bench. She then walked towards the changing room with Matt on her mind.

After a few minutes Sarah was already dressed and waiting for Matt. She thought about Matt when she was changing her clothes. She almost kissed him. She hummed at the thought. She was in a trance for a few minutes after they were interrupted by a phone call. She didn't how he would react. She then saw Matt enter the main area of the gym. Sarah was immediately nervous. "So—what did—did Foggy want form—from you?", Sarah asked nervously. Matt was caught like a deer in headlights. He froze. After a couple of moments he composed himself to form a coherent sentence. "I—um—he wanted—me—um—", Matt was interrupted by Sarah. "Just—just say it Matt—Matt.", Sarah said breathlessly. "He wanted me to invite you to the annual Nelson Meats Charity Event. To go with me.", Matt said nervously as he put his hand in the back of his head. "Ohhh.", Sarah said surprised. "So what do you say? Will you go with me?", Matt asked nervously. "Yes.", Sarah said with a smile on her face. Matt smiled back. "Let's go outside.", Matt said as he started walking towards Sarah. "Let's go.", Sarah said.

Few moments later Matt and Sarah were standing outside in front of the gym. "Who knew that the famous Matt Murdock would be nervous to ask a girl out to go out on a date with him.", Sarah said while laughing. "C'mon Sarah. I wasn't nervous.", Matt said. "You were nervous. You were blushing after you asked me to go out with you to Foggy's charity event.", Sarah said while laughing. "Fine you win.", Matt said while sighing. "He-he-he.", Sarah laughed. "You're really going to be laughing at me?", Matt said while sighing. "Yes.", Sarah said while giggling. "Sarah.", Matt said in a serious tone. Immediately Sarah stopped laughing and looked at him with furrowed brows. "What is it?", Sarah asked with furrowed brows. "When we—we sparred. When we were—were down on—on the floor. When you tried to kis-", Matt was interrupted by Sarah who flagged down a cab. The cab parked near Matt. Sarah then slowly walked to Matt and kissed him on the cheek. "I had a good training session with you Matt.", Sarah said while smirking. Matt was left speechless. He froze. His jaw was slack. His breathing hitched. "Goodnight Matt.", Sarah said as he opened the door of the car. "Goodnight Sarah.", Matt said as his breathing hitched. Sarah then sat down in the cab and closed the door. Matt listened as Sarah gave the address. Then the cab drove off. Matt then started walking back towards his apartment. He had to suit up for tonight.

Elsewhere Mike sat in his office doing some paperwork. He then heard two knocks on his door. "Come in.", Mike said. He then saw Jake and Chris enter the office. "Boss. We have something.", Jake said. "What is it?", Mike asked as he stopped with the paperwork. "We found out where Sarah Riley lives.", Chris said. "Excellent. Commence with the plan.", Jake said while grinning darkly.
