She felt so odd, out of place, just plain weird.
Toby stood there in a mid thigh length dress, the shoulders were torn and cut so bad that they simply hung off, the sleeves went far past her hands, a black choker was placed around her neck, to hold the turtle neck up, on her feet were almost ballet style shoes. Her makeup was caked on, she was pale already but now she was ghost white, her lips pure red, her eye makeup was done in a soft grey with pure red eye shadow. Nails done in red, her hair now had red tips and her bangs as well.
"There now, feel better as a Red?" The "Hatter" asked her, with an odd smile. Touching her bare shoulders he turned her, so she would face the mirror. Toby gasped in shock. Never had she looked so right and yet so wrong in this. Her curves were beautifully shown (Well whatever curves she had), her face was sculpted and her hair framed it just right.
"Hatter...It is beautiful." She said softly, turning around she placed a chaste kiss on his lips, her lipstick not even smuggling. He wasn't the Hatter she wanted, no he was someone who just took the place.
He held a cocky smirk upon his lips.
"Now now as a Red you must never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, um...what was I saying?" He asked her, tilting his head, scratching his head with his left foot. Toby blinked, "This man, No, this Hatter is insane." She thought.
"As a Red I must never ever, what?" She snapped after a good three minutes of standing there.
"Oh yes! Never, Ever, Ever, Ever be kind." Was his simple response. "Ever."
Toby took a look at the mirror, her mother is worried, and here she was being something she never wanted to be: Something she wasn't. Dropping her shoulders in shame, she could already feel the salty, stingy tears, they tried to flow but she wouldn't, not now. Not anymore.
"Tomorrow we leave for the queen." She thought looking thru the hole in the old straw roof; she saw the grey moon, for now all she could do was pray. "Hatter, give me three days." she said softly, her heart clenching tightly. "Please."
Sleep we have a walk ahead of us tomorrow. And she did as she was told; Toby laid down on the soft bed again, enjoying the way she sunk in a bit from just how squishy it is. Pale blue eyes slowly closed, she didn't know why but the last thing she thought of was Hatter, not her hatter but the one that stood in the door way looking at her, with his bright green eyes.
The moon was up. It was crimson, no longer was the beautiful blue, or white I loved with a red moon. "Dear moon, do you love, do you hate, and do you breathe, or sleep?" Toby asked softly, she was childish she knew, but Toby loved the moon. "Do you care, or cry, do you wish, and do you die?" She almost begged for an answer but none would ever come.
There is was a black castle lighted by the blood red moon, its sharp peeks, and cliffs looked so beautiful you would think it was safe. But inside was a tyrant, a witch, a horrible woman who killed, hurt, and betrayed everything. She was red and at this moment I was blue. As I entered the castle the guards did nothing, they did not speak, turn nor even stop me they stood there like a stone.
"Oh look it is a friend!" A crazed voice said, looking around my blue eyes searching for the person or thing. "Over here in the throne." It said. My blood ran cold, my hair stood on edge. Turning around would be my mistake.
She was not as my mother told me, No this was someone different, someone much madder.
Titling her head she jumped off the throne, landing in front of me. "Take off that make up it looks terrible!" She commanded. I glared at her but ripped off my dress wiping it all away.
We stared at each other. Pitch black eyes vs. Pale blue.
We gave nothing away.
She stood in all her nakedness only covered with tattoo, dark red pure as blood covered her breast, legs, stomach, and hands, but on her shoulders, neck, feet, and knees she was white as snow. Her hair was also like mother said up in the silly bun but this time done in two, a golden crown sat upon her brow n. Toby stood there in a pair of black undies, and a white almost see thru dress, if you could call it that, that only brushed my thighs, all around the edges it was black, and still around my chest the chocker still in place, my feet I had placed on black socks, knowing full well I would never keep on ballet shoes. We walked around each other like a lion would do, our eyes locked in a silent battle.
"Your name?" She asked me, an eye brow raised eyes bored.
"Toby."
"Boy?"
"No!" She yelled, glaring at the odd female, yes I was named after a boy, yes she didn't have a large bust or bottom, she was tomboyish and sporty. But damn she was a girl, and her anger flared like a dragon woken from its sleep to find its loved gold gone. "I am a female. What are you? A fairy, not a queen!"
Her face changed from odd beautiful, to fiery rage. "How dare you! I'll kill you!" Lunging forward her sharp nails out screeched.
