Completely clean, Kagome set about brushing and braiding her hair. It was a tedious task, considering how much she had, but she enjoyed doing it. It was calming. Finishing her task, she set to cleaning up her stuff, placing her things into her bag, and strapping it to her back.

Stepping towards the trees, she called out, "I'm ready."

She jumped slightly when the taiyoukai appeared in front of her. She rolled her eyes and gestured for him to lead the way, "Um, Sesshoumaru-sama… I need to return to the village for a moment. I need some things, and I have to let Kaede know where I am headed. She will need to find a temporary replacement for me as the village's protector."

Other than a slight turn of his head, he did not acknowledge her statement. But Kagome knew that he had heard what she said. When his feet turned onto the path towards the village, Kagome smiled, knowing that he was taking her wishes into consideration. Even though, as the son of the Great Dog General, he did not have to. He was a Prince to these lands. He did not have to do anything she asked. She was glad he did though. She would hate for the village to go unprotected for any length of time.
