I'VE FINALLY FIGURED OUT WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH THIS STORY OH MY GOD. Sorry I suck at updating.

Trigger warning for this chapter: rape. It's the first section.

"Are you alright, Regina?"

It was the question asked every night of the Queen by the King. As the Queen would lay awake, she'd felt a hand caress her shoulder, stroking down her arm gently. "I'm fine," she lied as her husband moved closer, wrapping his arms around her, his body molding to hers.

He was hard.

Daniel began kissing her neck slowly as his hands caressed her body, moving up to her breasts as his hips pressed harder against her, his erection growing. It was how it always went. He'd ask if she was alright, she'd lie, and they would have sex - it was her wifely duty after all. But tonight she didn't want to. It had been two months since she slept with David, and she knew she would have to tell the King about the baby soon. She would start showing soon: Kathryn had said so.

Regina's cousin had married a man named Frederick several months after Regina became Queen and had become pregnant within the month, further adding to Daniel's disappointment in not having an heir. But he would soon enough.

It just wouldn't actually be his.

"Daniel, not tonight," she protested gently as his hand made its way toward her center. He didn't listen, instead reaching his hand into her underwear and finding her folds. "Daniel, please!" She cried, trying to pull away from him, but she couldn't; he was too strong. So she tried to summon the same power she'd used that night when forcing Cora through the portal, but she couldn't. She could no longer feel the magic within herself.

Regina began to panic as he rolled her onto her back and climbed on top of her, one hand pinning her wrists above her head as the other ripped her underwear from her body. He kissed her harshly, his taste different than before. Where it used to be kind, it was now rough and demanding. The Queen's tears flowed freely and she clenched her eyes shut, turning her head away from the man on top of her. "Please," she sobbed, powerless to do anything else but beg for him to stop.

At this point, the King had removed his pants and his face hovered above hers. "You will give me a child," he growled before thrusting into her harshly.

Regina felt herself leave her body as her husband pounded into her. She tried to get as far away as possible until he was finished, but no matter how hard she tried, all she could think about was the pain as his nails dug into her skin and his teeth bit her neck hard enough to leave a mark. She hated the way her body betrayed her as she felt the throbbing between her thighs and the building of pressure within herself. She tried to stop it. She tried to prevent herself from achieving orgasm, but the pressure was too much.

The Queen cried out, tears streaming down her face as her body denounced her mind, her walls clenching as he came inside of her. The King thrust several more times before collapsing on top of her. "That wasn't so hard, was it?" He murmured in her ear before rolling over and falling asleep once more.

David sat at his desk, nursing a drink. He had to admit his brother had had great taste in wine.

It was amazing. Just a week ago he'd come home from being with Regina and now...he had a dead twin brother he'd never known and was suddenly asked to be a prince. He slugged the rest of his drink.

"James."

David exhaled angrily. "That's not my name." King George entered the room haughtily. "And I'm not your son."

The King chuckled evilly. "As long as you fear for her life, you are," he retorted. George didn't know who the woman was, but he knew she existed and that David would do anything to prevent harm from coming to her. When there was no response from David, he continued speaking. "Tomorrow you are meeting the woman to whom you're betrothed. Try to pretend you remember her," he insisted before turning around to leave.

"I won't do it," David told him without bothering to turn from his freshly poured drink.

George spun on his heel. "You will do as I say or the woman you love will be killed," he said.

David narrowed his eyes as he tilted his head to look at the older man. "When I marry, I will marry for love."

A growl emitted from the King's throat. "Then why didn't you marry before?" It left David speechless. He couldn't exactly explain what prevented him from marrying her in a way that would rid him of the King. "That's what I thought," George told him, grinning wickedly. "She will be here at noon. Don't be late."

The Queen's entire body hurt. There were bruises on her wrists and neck, and where he'd violated her was sore as though she'd taken a beating - which she essentially had. She slowly made her way to the stables to see Rocinante. She knew that her soreness would prevent her riding, but seeing Rocinante was soothing.

The mare nuzzled her friend's face comfortingly, and Regina let a tear fall from her eye as she wrapped her arms around a brown neck tightly. A quiet sob escaped her lips as she clenched her eyes closed.

"Regina!"

The Queen gasped and quickly wiped her eyes before turning to the young woman who was rushing into the stables. Snow White was growing, but Regina didn't like her any more despite the young woman's efforts. Snow was convinced that Regina was her best friend and confided in the Queen about everything. "Yes, Snow?" Regina asked, a cheerful lilt forced into her voice.

Snow was giddy to the point that she didn't even notice the older woman's tear-stained face. "I have the most wonderful news!" She squealed excitedly.

Regina's stomach tightened in knots. It sickened her to see Snow so happy whilst the young Queen suffered in silence. "And what would that be?"

Snow took Regina's hands and spun around excitedly. "I am to be married!"

The older brunette swallowed heavily. "That's wonderful, Snow," she said through gritted teeth. Of course Snow was too excited about her own news to notice the Queen's anger. Regina's hands had tensed, but where the tingle of magic once resided, now there was nothing. No spark.

It was probably best, for if she'd been able, she would have thrown a fireball at the delighted princess.

That morning, the King had left on a trip with Leopold, and Snow decided that rather than remain at the castle, she wanted to stay with her "best friend," Regina. Daniel had grown to see the man as a mentor and friend more and more, and Leopold treated him like the son he wished he'd had. So when the betrothal was announced, Snow White's prince was to meet her at the palace under the supervision of Regina. It was quite unorthodox for the father not to be present, but it seemed that neither man was very concerned about the protocol for betrothal.

So Regina was forced to meet Snow's husband-to-be. The Queen dressed herself to fit her mood: dark. A black jacket with tails that touched the floor buttoned once over a deep purple corset with intricate beading. She slid into black leather pants and tucked them into black boots with a four-inch stiletto. Her lips were painted blood-red, and she finished the look with an intricate updo.

There was a true contrast between Regina and the younger woman in every aspect, and it was never so obvious as in the moment they walked side-by-side to meet the man. Regina's eyes were dark and angry. She walked with determination and confidence. Snow, on the other hand, dressed in a pale yellow gown, was barely able to keep up with the shorter woman whose heels had caused her to rise inches above the princess, and her light eyes smiled with excitement.

Regina had been told she would be encountering King George, so she knew that the man Snow was betrothed to was his son, Prince James. She was fully prepared to see the man who bore such a striking resemblance to her David.

She wasn't prepared to see the man she loved standing in front of her.

Okay, I know that wasn't a surprise at the end, but it's where I'm going with it and I finally got a chapter out there, so I hope you liked it. Please review! It's so helpful. :D
