Without hesitation Rai swung his sword horizontally aiming for Toren's neck. Toren ducked under the attack and countered with several strikes to Rai's abdomen. Rai turned his body and, with an impressive bout of footwork, he dodged the blows, moving inward he lunged for the demon's throat again. As Rai's sword loomed inches from Toren's jugular a bright yellow flash soon erupted, the flash sent Rai flying backwards several meters before he flipped and landed skilfully on his feet.

"Shit" Rai thought while panting, "This guy has no openings!" Rai looked back up and as the flash cleared several more Torens stood in a line each smirking. There was now 16 of them, Rai confused gritted his teeth raising his sword. Toren laughed at Rai and Rai raised his brow, then he noticed. Toren's counter had shattered the blade.

"Che-" Rai sucked his teeth and threw his sword to the side. Getting in stance again, this time with his hands raised, Rai resembled Ip Man or some Tekken character. A moment of silence shouted through the room. Rai charged and in one amazing display of speed he travelled several meters in a flash. One of the Toren clones eye-gaped as Rai drove his fist into his gut. With several well-formed punches the Toren clones body raised off the ground. Rai's fist glowed bright blue and he released a powerful blast of electricity through the Toren's chest sending it flying. The other Toren clones pounced. Rai closed his eyes and his whole body released a concussive blast of lightning.

The Toren clones shielded themselves with their hands, blinded by the attack, Rai quickly placed a powerful kick to a Toren clone's head the attack was so powerful it caused the clone to face flip. Its feet sprung in the air and its head inches off the ground. Rai came down for the finale - a lightning powered fist dropped to the clone's head. However suddenly two Toren clothes sprang slamming an electric blast at Rai.

"BRRAKKK!" the sound of the blast rang through the air; the power of the strike sent several boulder sized chunks of cement off the floor. Dust raised and whipped across the air and Rai could be seen atop one of the rocks. Fourteen clones chased Rai who, using his environment to his advantage, he used the high speed technique leaping rock to rock unleashing short flurries of attacks at the clones. Suddenly, mid-attack, a cement boulder hurled through the air at Rai. Rai snapped his head, and skilfully swung beneath his airborne boulder and using his electricity he launched his boulder at the incoming one. Rai landed on the ground and the boulders collided.

The entire exchange lasted about 3 seconds and the cement boulders slammed back against the ground the remaining Toren clones scattered to avoid the boulders and Rai used his high speeds to chase and slaughter them.

"Huff, huff," Sweat ran down Rai's head "Now where's the real one?" Rai turned his head as he heard a clap.

"Good, good," Toren said he snapped and suddenly the large wall screen came to life showing the fight between Yusuke and Suzaku. Rai followed the events on the screen. Suddenly Toren sprang.

"Pay attention!" With no time to react Rai took Toren's attack head on. The blast of electricity sent Rai spiralling in the air several meters, before his body hit the ground. Toren dashed and slammed his fist into Rai. Rai narrowly caught the attack and sent his foot into Toren's throat. Toren pulled away and Rai somersaulted to his feet. Both of them spat blood on the ground. Rai charged once again, as they exchanged blows Toren sends a static charged fist at Rai's head. Rai dodged, then quickly grabbed Toren's wrist, with his wrist still in hand he spin-planted an elbow in Toren's face. Rai then sent a powerful blast of electricity out of his body and threw Toren over his shoulder. Toren hit the ground, the impact cracking the cement beneath him.

Then everything was still.

Rai just stood panting, his spirit energy at an all-time low. He stared at Toren's body unsure if he was dead or not. Rai was still scared, the near-addictive adrenaline in him hung in the air. Then Toren spat up blood. Choking on his own blood, Toren forced his chest off the ground; he spat more blood then hoarsely inhaled.

"You got me, kid." Toren spat, he pointed at the large wall screen. The human world was shown, the zombiefied humans going back to normal and two young girls walking away.

"It seems my son has also failed." Toren was smiling however.

"What's going on?" Rai questioned. Toren laughed smugly.

"The demon bugs have laid eggs in that girl. She seems to be rather important to your partner"

"Who?"

"Yusuke"

"Oh right, him…"

Toren kept smiling "Now you have to kill me" Rai paled, he honestly couldn't understand his feelings about it.

"The Panto Box will continue to feed the eggs until they eventually hatch, murder their host, and multiply" Toren declared.

"And why are you telling me this?" demanded Rai.

Toren then laughed maniacally. "Us demons can be terrible people, I've already lost, however corrupting a pure hearted green horn like yourself is a victory. Go ahead, kill me, then cut the Panto Box out of my Heart. Justify it with that girl" Toren let out a chilling laugh and spat up blood. Rai felt it the coldness in his heart, this time. His enemy could no longer fight; he would have to choose to kill him. Rai focused electricity to his hand forming the lightning sword.

This was it, him or the girl, a demon or a human. It was his mission he had to do it. Each step Rai took felt like a mile, the sound of his feet on the floor echoed in his mind. As he loomed over Toren, he gritted his teeth then he just did it. He killed Toren, and with his bare hands he cut out the Panto box. He destroyed the box and his mission was over.

Rai jogged out of the door, his knees feeling weak he collapsed. However someone caught him. It was Ame.

"S-senpai!" he exclaimed hugging Ame. Rai wanted to cry but he held it back. Ame supported him, rubbing his back.

"Listen. I saw the whole thing you did great. Remember this though. That girl, that friend of Yusuke was saved because of you. You saved her life, what you did was... Necessary. "

Rai nodded his head. Ame sighed

"Let's go home."
