I Like You, Natsume-oniisan

Chapter 34: Take Back

"Are you Izumi-sensei, our Biology teacher? Ew... forget it. I hate Biology! Biology teachers sucks!"

"Izumi-sensei, those people are throwing trash at me again!"

"Izumi-sensei, why are everyone turning their backs against me?"

"Izumi-sensei, look at my results! Good, right?"

"Izumi-sensei, that night... it was great. Thank you for making me feel so special."

"Izumi-sensei, I have a bad news... I'm pregnant with your child."

"Izumi-sensei, why didn't you tell me about your condition? What about our child?"

"Sensei, thank you and I love you... forever and ever."

Yuka's eyes flew open and found herself staring directly at the ceiling fan. She stumbled out of her bed and walked into the bathroom. It was Saturday night and she was supposed to sleep in early but she couldn't. She was still thinking about the DNA profiling which had proven that her daughter was still alive and worst of all, her daughter was her very own student whom she had been teaching for the past three months. She was Mikan Andou.

"I... I need to see Andou-san," Yuka muttered to herself and flipped open her handphone.

She opened a few files and scrolled down a list of her students' name. After finding Mikan's name, she clicked onto it and it led her to another file, showing her Mikan's home address and home number. Yuka bit her lips and breathed in deeply.

"Mikan Andou-san... Sensei, I have finally found her, our long-lost daughter."

"Ha! Royal flush," Mikan cheered and revealed her cards on the table with a victory smile.

Tsubasa began screaming for joy and shouting to his distraught friends, "Bring it on, Mikan! We're going to kick you guys' arse! Hahahahahaha! In your face, dudes! In your face!"

"Calm down, Tsubasa. If Mikan were to win the next round, we will go and eat in a restaurant after this," Misaki whispered into Tsubasa's ear with a twinkle in her eye.

Natsume sat on the sofa with his hands crossed, looking very disgusted. Playing Poker was not his cup of tea and there Mikan was, showing off her marvelous skill in front of Tsubasa's and Misaki's friends. As promised, she had to take Tsubasa's place in the Poker game and win back the money he had lost during his previous matches. And surprisingly, Mikan was doing extremely well.

"Last round," a man announced and began shuffling the cards.

After Mikan and the other man got their cards, they started playing again but this time, they were serious.

"All in," Mikan smirked and Tsubasa jumped in horror.

"What the? Why are you betting all your hard earn money?" Tsubasa yelled.

"You better not lose! I want to eat in a restaurant," Misaki winced.

Natsume shook his head hopelessly and muttered under his breath, "Stupid... she's going to lose."

"All..." the man hesitated and looked at his cards once more, then back to Mikan who was looking very confident. "I... Fold."

"Mikan Andou wins!"

Mikan and the man showed their cards and he gaped.

"That'a not fair! I could have win with my 'two of a kind'! Look at Mikan, she has none!" the man whined as he pointed at Mikan's cards accusingly.

"Sorry, Sir. You shouldn't have fold," Mikan said with a polite smile, making the man groaned unhappily.

Tsubasa and Misaki stood up and hugged each other joyfully. They rushed to Mikan and cuddled her adoringly. Natsume just continued to sit on the sofa with a poker face. Seriously, what kind of tricks did she possess in the game of Poker?

"Let's eat in 'Chinese Restaurant'!" Misaki suggested while getting into the car.

Tsubasa started the engine and said, "No, I have tried their Chinese delicacies before. I want to eat in that well-known Korean Restaurant. You know, it is called 'Kim Chi House'."

"I want to eat French food!" Mikan exclaimed. "What about you, Natsume-oniisan?"

"Home," Natsume shot a reply.

"I will go for 'Chinese Restaurant'," Misaki insisted with a hard glare. "I have never tried Chinese food before unlike you, Tsubasa!"

"Fine, fine, Dear. So, do my kids agree to eat in 'Chinese Restaurant'?"

Mikan and Natsume nodded, rather reluctantly.

But who knew that Chinese food could be so delicious? Well, except Tsubasa who had already tried Chinese delicacies before.

"Gosh!" Mikan smacked her lips and rubbed her stomach in contention. "I love the curry crab and the fried wantons."

"Geez! Mikan ate the most!" Misaki hiccuped. "Did anyone see her eating almost half of the crab away?"

"I did, but it's fine anyway. She was the one who had helped us to win the Poker game so let her eat till she's contented," Tsubasa laughed. "Natsume, what about you? Do you like the food?"

"Yeah. I like the Oolong Tea only," Natsume replied huskily with his eyes closed because he was sleepy.

Tsubasa and Misaki laughed at his answer, except for Mikan. She was staring at Natsume's sleeping face. His face looked peacefully and vulnerable this way. Since when did she last see his sleeping face?

It must have been ages ago too. Time flies very fast indeed.

"What?"

Mikan jumped in fright as Natsume's eyes suddenly flew opened and he spoke to her. She must have been staring at him for too long.

She immediately looked away and stammered, "N... Nothing! I tho... thought I saw a ri... rice sticking on your chin."

He rubbed his chin and looked at his hand, only to see no rice at all.

"There is nothing. You better go for an eye check-up." He sighed tiredly and closed his eyes again.

Misaki looked at Mikan and Natsume through the rear mirror and then smiled. She knew Natsume's secret too. In fact, she had just known it not too long ago. It was true that she was shocked at first but she had gladly come to accept the fact that Natsume really liked Mikan. It was not wrong. They were not blood related. Who cared about what others had to say about the Andou family?

As for Tsubasa, he knew about it too as Misaki had told him the day before. His response was like a gaping goldfish as he refused to believe that his beloved foster son was in love with his beloved foster daughter. But soon, he accepted that as well. His reasons were the same as Misaki. Who freaking cared about what others had to say about them?

In short, both Tsubasa and Misaki were supporting Natsume's one-sided love, though Natsume kept refusing to take any action because he did care about what others would say about him and the Andou family. He did care ever since he was young, that was why he had rejected Mikan, no matter how much he had wanted her so badly.

Actually, he was glad and thankful that Tsubasa and Misaki had accept his situation. He had heard multiple stories about two non-related siblings falling in love with each other but in the end, they had to break apart because their foster parents found it disgusting.

"We are home!" Tsubasa chimed and stopped the engine. "After our showers, let's watch some movies. I bought a few CDs last week and have yet to watch them."

"Okay!" Mikan cheered and shook Natsume awake. "Wake up, you sleepyhead!"

Natsume groaned and rubbed his eyes. He quietly got out of the car without even looking at Mikan. His mind was totally hazy and blurry after sleeping, even though it was for a short while.

"Natsume-sensei?"

Natsume turned his head absentmindedly to the back and frowned.

"Onii-san, what happened?" Mikan asked loudly as she got out of the car, followed by Mikan and Tsubasa.

Mikan looked at his eyes and followed the direction where he was looking at. She saw a figure standing under the lamp post next to her house. She walked closer towards the person and frowned too.

"Yuka-sensei, what are you doing here?" Mikan asked.

"Yuka-sensei? Mikan, is she your teacher?" Tsubasa asked.

"Yes, she is."

"What are you doing here, Yuka-sensei?" Natsume finally spoke in an impatient voice.

"Natsume-sensei, I didn't know that you and Andou-san are living under the same roof," Yuka said with a soft laugh.

Natsume interjected, "You still haven't answered me, Yuka-sensei."

Yuka clutched onto an A4 size letter tightly and bowed to Misaki and Tsubasa politely. After that, she took out a file and brought it forward.

"Good evening, Tsubasa and Misaki Andou-san. I'm here to take back my daughter, Mikan... Yukihira."

Not-so-important note(s):

- The next chapter is the end of fifth part of this story.

- Six more chapters to go before this story ends, approximately in September-October.

- For some readers who have read my previous note in Chapter 30 and told me not to leave the GA forum, please don't get me wrong. I'm not leaving. It's just that after this story is completed, I won't be writing anymore new GA fanfics until I've completed 'Fight for Love!' unless I can't control the urge to start a new GA fanfic. Haha! :D

Don't forget to leave a review! Thanks! :)
