SailorStar9: And so another chapter goes up. This is Chapter 13. Read and review.

Chapter 13: Game Master Arc: Digital Chaos
"I swear, after yesterday's battle, I don't think Pokémon are so cool anymore." Shin muttered.
"Well, it's just because Game Master was using them for his evil scheme..." Ami pointed.
"I don't understand what he wants, though..." Shin commented.
"He wants to kill us, that's clear, but why?" Ami pondered.
Shin shrugged "Well, we'll find out sooner or later..."
"Seems like everyone else is busy." Nastui mused, bringing in a tray of crumpets.
Ami nodded, "Touma has an exam, Lunari and Ryo are on a date, Shuu and Ditea are making out somewhere... we can't find Litana or Seiji and Hotaru's nowhere to be seen."
"Did someone call my name?" Hotaru said appearing from between the couple, making Ami jump.
"What are you?" Ami turned to her fellow Senshi. "Umino's relative?"
Hotaru shrugged "No. I just thought I should warn you that the Game Master will attack again today."
"What, are you a psychic or something?" Shin asked.
"As a matter of fact, I have weak psi powers." Hotaru admitted.
"You never told us about that." Ami noted.
Hotaru shrugged. "You never asked me' I can only sense evil beings and predict when they're going to attack."
Shin rose an eyebrow "So if the Game Master's gonna attack again, he may also show up... I need more data to try and find out who he is..."
"That's assuming he's human." Hotaru noted "Or he's passing as one of our fellow students or teachers..."
"Litana said she and Seiji have an idea of who he might be." Ami muttered.
"Who?" Hotaru asked.
"Well, yesterday they realized someone at our school is what we could call a 'game master,'" Shin explained.
"Let me guess... Is it that Shuji Kuno guy, right?" Ami asked.
Shin nodded "Though Nanako knows him since they were kids... Maybe he's being controlled by someone else."
"Whoever is controlling him, knew he would be hard to figure out," Hotaru commented.
Ami chuckled "Yeah... One can only wonder what he will use next... "
"With our luck, the crew from the Alien vs. Predator arcade..." Shin muttered.
"Flour." Litana requested, baking up a storm in her kitchen.
"Here." Seiji hand her a bouquet of flowers.
"Not what I meant," Litana sweatdropped. "But thanks."
"But you've got to admit it's funny." Seiji joked. The two laughed at that.
An inhuman howl interrupted their laughter, and both looked at each other "What the...?" Litana muttered and looked out the window. "Oh dear..."
Outside, a violet, massive, wolf-like winged robot was waiting patiently for the Senshi to show up...
Ryo was just finishing his chores when he saw something really weird. "Uhhh... Lunari, you better come out here and see this... "
Lunari walked outside of the cabin and Ryo pointed outside. Lunari looked in that direction and gasped "Go figures... First Pokémon and now this..."
A huge, armoured humanoid dinosaur was standing just in front of the forest cabin.
"Well, shall we?" Ryo asked.
"I don't know how strong that thing is." Lunari noted "I think we should call some reinforcements..."
Sailor Venus and Kongo leapt from the cabin's roof, landing in front of their friends "Fear not, fair lady, for we shalt save thee." Kongo posed.
Sailor Venus and Lunari sighed. "Well, four to one should be a fair fight." Lunari noted. "Let's beat them. Mars Cosmic Power!"
"Busho, Rekka!" Ryo pulled out his kanji orb.
Ami was looking at a map of Shinjuku on her compact computer. . Five red dots were marked in three different sections of the city, three of them were close by, and the other two were far from each other. "Seems like they want to make us split up in groups... she muttered.
Hotaru produced her comm and pushed a button. Both Litana and Lunari appeared in the small screen. "You're not gonna believe this, but a MetalGarurumon is standing outside my apartment." Litana said.
"We have a WarGreymon here," Lunari said, "Venus and Kongo are helping us, though..."
Ami frowned "I've got a reading of a larger group of Digimon... I don't know what they are, but they're near the mansion... I guess we should go out and trash them before they trash the forest."
Haruka's face appeared on the screen, "I am on my way to help Jupiter, Michiru's on her way to help you."
"I detected a sixth creature." Pluto's face appeared on Ami's comm.
"Guess we'd better send those creeps back to the Digiworld." Ami shrugged.
"They probably came out of a PlayStation CD, though." Hotaru noted.
"Same difference." Ami muttered.
"Supreme Thunder!"
The robot dodged the attack with ease, and countered with a barrage of missiles. "That thing's too fast," Jupiter muttered.
"Need help?" A voice asked from above.
Jupiter looked up and saw Uranus and Neptune standing on top of a building, "Well, it was about time someone came to help..."
"Space Sword Blaster!" Uranus tried her attack, but the metallic wolf dodged it with ease, "Hmmm... I see it's not gonna be easy."
"Freeze Breath!" The huge creature shouted and sent a barrage of icy breath at them.
Pluto looked at her enemy from the ground. The Digimon she was facing looked like a scantily clad female angel, with a helm that seemed to be covering her eyes completely. "If I remember correctly, that thing's name is Angewomon..." She muttered to herself. The female Digimon hadn't spotted her yet, which was lucky since Pluto was trying to think of how to beat her on her own.
Angewomon rose an arm, and two long feathery stripes grew from the upper and lower part of her silky white gloves. She placed her other arm as if the first one were a bow, and a bolt of pure light appeared on top of his extended arm. She aimed it at the Time Senshi and said, "Holy Arrow."
"Dead Scream!" A blast of purple energy hit the arrow deflecting it.
Angewomon said nothing but produced another light bolt and aimed it at Pluto. "Holy Arrow."
"Terra Force!"
Mars and Venus, together with Rekka and Kongo, were blasted back by the massive fire sphere as it touched the ground and exploded, leaving a bus-sized crater in the road.
"Darn it, that thing's wrecking my street!" Rekka muttered standing up.
"Hey, see the bright side, as soon as it rains, you'll have a nice swimming pool right in front of your house," Kongo noted. Rekka sighed and shook his head.
"Terra Force!"
"Burning Soul!"
Both attacks clashed, but WarGreymon's one was stronger and blasted the four Senshi back again.
"What the heck are those things?" Saturn muttered as the Senshi reached the point where the three other Digimon had been detected.
Mercury looked at the three through her visor then frowned, "I don't know who they are, but for what I can see they have the same power as us in our 'Crystal' level."
"Then this will be one fun battle..." Saturn noted sarcastically as she looked at the three creatures.
The first one looked like a raptor with red skin, with black stripes all around and white skin from the chest to the belly. He had small, bat wing-shaped ears, and strong-looking arms and legs with mean-looking talons. It would have looked impressive, if it had been more than one meter and a half tall.
The second one looked somehow like a rabbit, tough his ears were far longer than a normal rabbit's. And the small horn protruding from his head looked like it was pointy enough to give anyone who dared fighting him some nasty holes. Though he overly looked like a stuffed toy more than a fighter.
The third one resembled a humanoid fox, with yellow and white fur and blue eyes. Purple marks resembling a ying/yang symbol could be seen in both her legs. "It seems like our master was right. The Senshi look like strong foes." She noted looking at her allies.
Suiko looked up and down at the yellow fox-like Digimon, and the others all looked at him questioningly. "Err... It's a female Digimon," He explained. The other Senshi sweatdropped.
"Gee, Ami... Beaten by a Digimon..." Saturn commented.
Mercury shrugged "As long as he looks but doesn't touch, I see no reason to worry."
Suiko turned to the Digimon and rose an eyebrow "Just for the records of a game freak... What are your names?"
The fox-like Digimon shrugged "I see no loss from telling you our names. I am Renamon."
"Terriermon." The small bunny-like Digimon beamed.
"Guilmon." The red dinosaur added.
"So, what's the plan?" Saturn asked.
"We let them attack first and see what they can do." Mercury explained.
"Why don't we just beat the stuffing out of them?" Suiko muttered.
"Mercury's plan is the best course of action." Saturn noted. "Running head-on towards a battle can cause you more harm than good."
"Okay, everyone, get ready!" Suiko said.
Guilmon growled at the Senshi "Guilmon will defeat them."
"Talking in third person... Cute..." Saturn muttered sarcastically.
"Fire Ball!"
Mercury and Suiko leapt aside barely missing a massive blast of fire, and the red dinosaur-like Digimon didn't waste the chance to charge at them. "Ice Ball!" Mercury shot her ice ball and it hit the creature's head, but only managed to slow him down a bit. The creature tackled Mercury and both went crashing through a jeweller's window.
Saturn was meanwhile staring at Renamon, who was staring back. "Don't you plan on attacking me?" The Death Senshi asked coldly.
"I don't need to rush things... You'll eventually be defeated." Renamon replied also in a cold way.
"Chibi Tornado!" Terriermon started spinning at top speed and shot forwards towards Earth.
"Super Wave Smasher!" Suiko managed to blast Terriermon, slowing him down, then leapt aside barely missing being hit by the whirlwind.
Mercury was trying to analyse the situation and come up with a plan and frowned as she looked at the Digimon fighting the others. "I double-checked my readings... Terriermon and Guilmon are stronger than me. Renamon... I can't be sure, since she's not fighting."
"But I think I know what Saturn's strategy is." Neptune commented. "She's not wasting her strength fighting Renamon."
Mercury nodded "Well, I think we should help the others. I'll help Suiko."
Neptune nodded back, "I'll just take care of the leftover." And both dashed away in opposite directions.
Jupiter leapt up and into a wall to dodge MetalGarurumon's ice attack. She then bounced off the wall and right over the wolf's head, delivering a powerful jab. MetalGarurumon staggered back and tried to counter, but was kicked by Jupiter as she landed near him. Even with all the hits he'd just received, the massive wolf just growled and stood ready to launch yet another attack at her.
Uranus meanwhile was trying to figure out a way to defeat it, since their attacks weren't working, and physical attacks weren't doing a thing either against the thick armor plating the creature had all around his body. Jupiter leapt back dodging yet another ice blast and landed beside the Sky Senshi "I guess you'll have to go up one level if you want to defeat it." He noted.
Jupiter nodded "Was about to. Jupiter Cosmic Power!"
"Freezing Breath!"
"Stun Spark!"
Both attacks clashed, but MetalGarurumon's one was stronger and hit Jupiter at full speed. She was flung back several feet and hit a wall before collapsing to the ground semi-conscious.
Uranus glared at the creature, and was about to attack it, but someone was faster than him. "Thunderbolt Cut!" A ray of lightning hit MetalGarurumon's head from the side and made him fall sideways. Uranus looked in the direction the attack had come from and saw Korin standing there, his broadsword poised for the next strike.
"Korin, I suppose?"
The Lighting Trooper nodded "Yeah. Is Jupiter all right?"
Jupiter moaned and stood up, "I'll be fine as soon as I get an aspirin."
"Sorry to interrupt you two lovebirds, but the pound puppy is still alive," Uranus muttered.
"Freeze Breath!"
"Not again..." Jupiter muttered.
"Thunderbolt Cut!"
"Stun Spark!"
"Space Sword Blaster!"
The three attacks blasted MetalGarurumon's attack away and hit the metallic wolf making him stagger back.
Venus and Mars hid behind a tree as WarGreymon glanced around looking for them. The situation didn't look good, both Troopers had been knocked out by the massive foe, and the two Sailors' attacks weren't enough to beat it, "There's no other choice... We must use our Cosmic power," Mars noted.
"Let's do it. Venus Cosmic Power!"
"Mars Cosmic Power!"
The two Senshi slowly walked out of the alley while WarGreymon was facing away from them. They both charged up and fired their attacks.
"Flaming Spear!"
"Morning Star Smash!"
WarGreymon turned around fast enough to notice the fiery spear and the star-shaped light blast speeding towards him, but not fast enough to block them. He was blasted backwards and smashed into a row of trees.
"We're doing a lot more property damage than him," Mars muttered.
"Well, technically he's the one that fell into those trees, so he's the one that made the damage..." Venus noted. Mars glared at her.
A muffled shout of "Terra Force!" came from inside the wreckage and a massive energy ball shot at the two Senshi. They both screeched and leapt aside. WarGreymon came walking out of the building and glared at them.
"Flare Up Now!"
"Iron Rock Crusher!"
Rekka and Kongo's attacks hit the metal wings in WarGreymon's back making him stumble forwards. The two Sailors took the chance to attack him again.
"Flaming Spear!"
"Morning Star Smash!"
The massive armoured Digimon fell down to his knees and grunted. He then stood up and growled, glaring at the four humans that had now gathered to fight him.
"That thing sure is though..." Rekka muttered.
"Incoming!" Venus shouted as another energy ball was shot at them.
Pluto leapt over Angewomon's attack and delivered a kick to her head. Angewomon, however, managed to grab her and slammed her into a parked car. "My mission is to eliminate the Senshi... And I find it quite appropriate that my first victim is the Guardian of the Underworld..." she mused as she fled back up and took aim with yet another light arrow.
Saturn and Renamon were meanwhile still staring at each other while their allies fought. "This is getting boring," Renamon pointed.
"Go ahead, make your first move," Saturn muttered coldly.
Renamon's ears twitched, and the next second she had faded out. She reappeared behind Saturn, but only to find that Saturn wasn't there, "Where the...?"
"Death Beam!"
Renamon faded out again, barely missing the attack, and reappeared in mid-air. "I see you can teleport too... My turn. Soyouzetsu!" A hundred small diamond-like crystal shards appeared just in front of Renamon's body, and shot forwards at Saturn. Saturn produced her glaive out of nowhere and swirled it around, blocking the attack. Renamon fell down to the ground ready to attack again. "Soyouzetsu!"
Saturn frowned. "Death Beam!" The attack blasted through the crystal shards and hit Renamon sending her crashing into a wall. The fox-like Digimon fell to the ground and moaned before falling unconscious. Saturn turned away and shrugged. "Well, I thought she would give me more of a fight..."
Several meters away, Neptune was trying to beat Terriermon. "Deep Submerge!" she fired off her attack from a tree.
Terriermon leapt back then looked up at Neptune who was about to jump down on him. "Oops... Chibi Tornado!" Terriermon shot up and smashed on the Senshi's chest, sending her staggering back and to the ground. Neptune grimaced at that but also realized that while in the air, it would be hard for the small Digimon to dodge any attack. "Tidal Wave!"
This time, the attack sent Terriermon flying back. Suiko, who was just standing up, saw the creature flying, or rather falling, towards him and leapt up. With a volley kick, he sent Terriermon ramming on the same wall Renamon had been knocked into, and the small Digimon fell over the taller one.
Mercury gasped. "Wow, that was quite a goal kick..."
Suiko grinned, "Well, that bunny was soccerball-sized after all." Mercury sweatdropped.
"Fire Ball!" Guilmon's attack spilt the pair apart.
Suiko summoned his attack. "Super Wave Smasher!"
Both attacks clashed and exploded. "This is not working." Suiko muttered.
"Keep on trying, maybe you'll tire him down." Mercury noted.
"Guilmon is not tired." Guilmon snapped.
"Hmmm... I've got an idea... When he comes charging at me, you use your shield," Suiko said to Mercury then turned to Guilmon. "Hey you overgrown lizard! You keep shooting those fireballs, but I'm sure I could punch you out in no time."
"Guilmon not weakling." The red Digimon snapped.
"Oh sure... Then why don't you try and fight me hand-to-hand?" Suiko teased.
Mercury grinned. She knew exactly what her lover's idea was. Guilmon growled at the water Trooper and then charged at her furiously. Mercury reached out her hands and shouted "Ice Shield!" Guilmon gasped as a thick layer of ice formed underneath his feet, taking away any traction he could have while running. The red dinosaur-like Digimon tried to stop his charge but only managed to stumble forwards and fall.
"It worked... Now for part 2 of the plan... Super Wave Smasher!"
Mercury and Suiko both watched as Guilmon was knocked away by the attack. Ironically, he fell over Renamon and Terriermon, who had just regained consciousness. "Get off!" Renamon snapped and tossed Guilmon aside.
The Senshi all gathered and looked at the battered Digimon "Well, it looks like we're winning," Saturn said emotionlessly.
Suiko nodded, "Why don't you guys give it up?"
Renamon glared at him, "So, you'll let us live if we retreat? It's a nice offer, but the Game Master only created us to fight you. If we try and get away, he'll come and blast us to pieces. So I'd rather die fighting."
Neptune frowned, "You cannot beat all of us..."
"Maybe not in this form," Renamon admitted, "however, if we Digivolve we'll have a lot more power to fight you with."
"Let's do it!" Terriermon said bubbly.
"Guilmon will Digivolve." Guilmon added.
Renamon leapt up in the air and a white light enveloped her. The other two Digimon followed suit.
"Renamon Digivolve to..." Her body turned into a wireframe as the transformation took place. Her face took a more animal look, while her tail was replaced by nine tails, and she was now standing in her four paws, with a weird red and white striped bow around her neck, which ended in two fist-sized bells. "Kyubimon!"
"Terriermon Digivolve to..." The small bunny's body also became a wireframe, and it grew three times its size, as machineguns covered his hands and jeans covered his lower body. A bullet belt completed the transformation, hanging from his left shoulder and all the way to his hip. "Gargomon!"
"Guilmon Digivolve to..." The dinosaur-like Digimon grew several times its size, as white hair grew from his head and his claws became massive. "Growlmon!"
Mercury both gasped as she scanned the creatures "It's amazing... Their power has just doubled!" she noted.
"So I guess this is where the real battle begins..." Neptune commented.
Saturn held her staff in a defensive position and nodded, "So it seems..."
"Stronger or not, we will still beat them," Neptune said.
"Ready to die, Senshi?" Kyubimon asked coldly.
"I was about to ask the same thing to you," Saturn replied just as coldly.
And so, both sides faced off as the sun set in the horizon...
