chapter 9

I got home around three in the morning in a lot of pain. It felt as if my blood was on fire.
I walked up the stairs and into my room where I stripped down into only my boxers.
I found a note on the bed.

Babe,

I'm sleeping at my dad's house tonight; he wants me home.
I love you,

Jacob

I fell asleep quickly after that, and woke up around noon. I grabbed my phone to find ten texts from Jacob. I smiled small before texting him back.
Me: good morning baby
Jacob: u mean good afternoon babe
Me: r u at sams house? xox
Jacob: yes I am come on over XXX
Me: okay I will b over soon
I exhaled as relief washed through me. I grabbed Jacob's jacket and my key for the motorcycle.

-Flashback-

I was walking along la push's beach, simply looking out at the water when I bumped into someone huge, knocking myself back onto the sand.
"Oh I am sorry," I said nervously, my hands began to tremble and my eyes met his.
"Hey, Dude it's not your fault it is mine. I am Jacob Black," he said holding out his hand.
"Hi, I am Draco Malfoy," I said smiling small at him before shaking his hand.
"Do you want to hang out sometime?" he asked kindly, letting my hand go.
"Sure," I stuttered, shocked at his offer.
"Wow… he's… wow…" my mind thought, taking in his very attractive features.
"How old are you?" I ask quietly, falling into stride beside him as we walked along the beach.
"Seventeen. What about you?" he said in return.

"16."

That day, he imprinted on me.

-End Flashback-

Jacob met me outside as I got off my bike and we embraced and shared a small kiss.

"You got up late today," he said pulling away and touching my cheek tenderly.

"I got home at 3 am," I said, turning my head and kissing his open palm.

An owl dropped me a package. I opened it and inside was a red water bottle, obviously containing animal blood from The Cullen Clan.

Before I knew it, Bella pulled up in her ugly orange eyesore of a truck.

"Oh no, here we go…, " I thought, my hands clenching at my sides.

"What does she want?" I hissed out, my eyes narrowing in hatred.

"I don't know. Babe, it's okay; the pack will handle her," Jacob said, resting a hand on my lower back and guiding me away.

"I hate her and I will not forgive her," I said, my teeth clenching together and making my words sound like hissing.

"I understand," he said, hugging me close.

"What do you want?" I said as she approached us.

"To hang out with Jacob," she said, glaring at me.

"No," I said, moving to stand between Jacob and her.

"Yes," she said defiantly. "I need to talk to you, Jacob. And preferably without him here,"

"Fine," I said, and I turned back to watch them as I walked away.
I trusted him, just not her.
