Chapter 3

Amu stared towards Utau as if she had miraculously gotten herself another head. Was she seriously asking that?

"Wha- Why would you want a wolf!" Amu exclaimed

Utau shrugged "they could guard our apartment, besides it's not strange, I know a lot of people who have wolves!"

Amu looked sceptical "Like who?"

"Uhh...Yaya?"

Amu rolled her eyes "I'm pretty sure Yaya's wolf is a husky."

Utau stared "It is defiantly not a husky."

"Rima's a vampire hunter and she's got a wolf!"

"...She does. Her boyfriend Nagihiko is also a vampire" Amu said sighing

"Wait what? Are you serious? Poor Rima, this forbidden stuff really gets in the way of their social lives." Utau spoke frowning.

"I can't believe we're having this conversation in a school." Amu face palmed.

Utau shrugged then turned to look at the wolves. "Fine, we won't keep them."

Amu nodded, glad that Utau was seeing things her way, She then walked over to the wolf closest to her, bending down right in front of it. "It's got a collar on," she muttered, squinting slightly as she reached over to further examine the collar.

The wolf blinked in surprise, stepping back slightly causing Amu to frown. "Come on, be cooperative here, I just want to know your name."

Utau raised an eyebrow towards Amu, stifling a giggle, and all along Utau had thought Amu was a cat person. Utau looked down in surprise as she noticed the other wolf seemed to have been nudging her leg.

Curious in what the animal wanted, Utau began to bend down, reaching out to pet it, a smile seemed to have appeared onto her face without her knowing so, even so Utau began to scratch the back of his ears, chuckling when noticing his tail seemed to be wagging. (A/N:...Do wolf's tails even wag when they're happy? I mean I know dogs do but o-o Idk.)

"Okay, I've changed my mind, I really want to keep this thing." Utau said grinning

Amu rolled her honey brown eyes but she couldn't disagree, squinting at the collar Amu read out "Iku..to? Ikuto? Male."

Utau stared "Does everyone have that name now?"

Amu shrugged "There was your brother Ikuto, then that Ikuto in class, and now a wolf named Ikuto. I had no idea that Ikuto was such a common name."

Utau nodded in agreement as she held his collar reading out loud its name "Kukai, Male."

Amu sighed as she stared into the wolf's eyes. "You want to come live with us?"

The wolf merely blinked towards her causing Amu to roll her eyes, blowing out the bangs that were beginning to block her eye sight, Amu made a mental note to cut them later on.

Utau chuckled as she stood up turning her head towards the mess, she visibly cringed. "I actually feel bad for the vampire hunters."

Amu just shrugged, not really caring as she also stood. "We might as well head home, so much for a good first day of school." She spoke rolling her eyes.

Utau giggled and nodded, giving one last affectionate pat on the wolf's head she began to walk out, with Amu following behind.

"...Utau?"

"Yes?"

"Why are they following us?"

Utau blinked as she turned around and sure enough there stood two wolves.

"Maybe they're hobo wolves." Utau spoke shrugging "I don't mind keeping them, besides you're the one that asked 'You want to come live with us?'"

Amu groaned "I didn't mean it!" Narrowing her eyes, Amu turned around to glare at the two wolves that both looked as if they were amused at the scene.

"Shoo!" Amu exclaimed

Utau sweatdropped shaking her head, "Amu, calm down, it's not like they're going to kill you."

Amu scowled "No, But I might end up killing them if I see them even raise a paw."

Utau sighed; this was going to be a long night.

Utau yanked out her pyjamas from her wardrobe and began to change; she had decided to wear a pair of pyjama shorts considering how hot the apartment was right now. Why it was so fucking hot was beneath her. As Utau put on her top with printed ice cream's Utau smiled as she practically tackled her bed, smiling in pleasure, her bed was so comfortable! Giggling like a school-girl Utau instantly hid under the covers in glee. She honestly had no idea why she was so happy at the moment. Maybe it was because she was tired. She truly didn't know and didn't care as long as she was able to fall into the hands of slumber.

As Utau laid in bed she stared towards her ceiling. She was now a pet owner, go figure.

Utau knew she would have to go through Amu's complaints in the morning. Utau rolled her eyes imagining Amu yell something about one of the wolves stealing her beloved Pepsi, Utau snorted. Yeah right.

Utau yawned as she turned and blinked in surprise as she saw one of the wolves curled up into a ball next to her bed. Utau sweatdropped, they would have to buy a dog basket. Sighing in annoyance of leaving her bed Utau got up and yanked out an old blanket from her closet, placing it over the sleeping wolf; being careful not to wake him up as she did so.

Sighing Utau climbed back into bed in pure bliss, returning to her rightful place under the covers. Honestly Utau thought to herself, I should actually be crowned queen of sleep. Utau amused herself, imaging herself as the queen of slumber, her punishment for the idiots who dare to disobey her would be granted no sleep! Utau thought to herself with an evil grin. What? it was perfect! You may laugh now but sleep was an incredible thing!

Utau sighed as she was finally able to sleep, closing her eyes as sleep hit her like a ton of bricks.

Amu stared towards the thing in her room. What was it doing in her room? Did it like the colour pink or something? Questions began to fill in her mind as she stared towards Ikuto with wide eyes as it stared back. The only difference was that in the wolf's eyes it seemed as if he was amused, much to Amu's dismay.

"Alright, let's start with the house rules." Amu started, out of nowhere causing Ikuto to blink at her, as if it understood what she was saying.

"Rule number 1. You cannot climb onto my bed, under any circumstances. Amu said

"Rule number 2. Don't bite anyone. Got that? Only if absolutely necessary."

"Rule number 3- actually, I'll come back to that one. I can't think of any more rules right now." Amu said as if realisation hit her, "I'll have to make a list later on," she muttered to herself.

Amu began to rub her eyes as she stared in surprise when she saw the wolf roll it's eyes towards her, he couldn't be rolling his eyes! It was a wolf!

Shaking her head Amu glared towards the thing before her glare softened the longer she stared towards it. Sighing Amu began to pet the animal muttering an apology. "I'm being such a bitch right now." Shaking her head at herself Amu got up opening the doors of her wardrobe and yanking out her pyjamas. Amu stared in genuine confusion as she watched him get up and walk out of the room.

Shrugging Amu began to change into her pyjamas, letting it slide. As she climbed into bed, finally able to sleep. It had been a ridiculously long day and Amu was more than happy to get some shut eye.

Just when slumber was calling Amu heard her door open slightly and close, then shuffling and nothing, Amu opened one eyes and inwardly groaned she found that the wolf was curled up on her bed. Amu would of thought she was hallucinating when she saw it smirk at her. Amu would of kicked the thing off her bed if sleep wasn't so needed at the moment.

Ugh. She would deal with the monstrosity in the morning.

Reaching over and turning off the lamp Amu managed to finally fall asleep.
