"Kol this isn't such a good idea-"Lily declared, it's been a couple of weeks since she met the Original, and they were once again back at the seedy little club where she first encountered him.

"Just have some fun darling-"the dark haired vampire smirked, blood stained his lips, Caius and Fleur had wanted to get out of town for some time. So she granted them their much deserved leave.

"Cool me darling one more time-"she threatened,

"Or what?" Kol drawled coming closer, this vampire certainly lived it up all day and night. "What will you do?" he brushed back her curls.

"Hmm-this is what I will do." Without further ado she slammed her knee up, hitting square in his most sensitive region. A growl was ripped from him. Lily used her enhanced speed and appeared behind him.

"You're such a vicious little creature-"Kol spat.

"But darling you wanted me to have fun." Lily teased winking at him.

"Ergh-you're insufferable" Kol declared, she snorted

"Rich coming from you." Lily helped herself to another glass of gin, she sighed feeling the fiery liquid burning her throat.

"Hmm…well you seem to be enjoying that drink…why don't you try something different-"he egged her on, for the last couple of weeks, Kol had been adamant about attempting make her act like an actual vampire, have fun whilst feeding.

"Kol don't-"

"Come on darling, we're the superior species, don't be so dull." Kol huffed. The music was loud in the background, and there were several people milling about with fang marks on their neck. The Original huffed and grabbed a passing woman's hand

"Hell-"

"Shut up darling-"Kol compelled her, Lily cocked an eyebrow "now do not scream, you'll only feel pleasure. And you will have no memory of this night." He said. He pushed the human towards the red head who managed to catch the woman. Lily's nose flared inhaling the delicious scent of fresh blood.

"She won't feel any pain if you're so worried about it-"Kol added as an incentive. "I know you're hungry-"he smirked in triumph when the black veins around Lily's eyes protruded and she sunk her fangs into the woman's neck.

Soon enough Lily and Kol were completely out of it, high on blood and drinks, "And spin-"Lily laughed and dipped the man, she could see Kol up on stage drinking heavily from one of the singers.

"You-really pretty Miss Lily-"the man exclaimed drunkenly, the red head giggled and staggered, the front of her dress was drenched in blood, and her chin, cheeks and lip as well.

"Hmm-"Lily inhaled the man's scent. There were a sea of people, and Kol had successfully brought out the red head's vampiric nature. "And you smell delicious-"she purred, brushing her nose against the man's throat. The vampire so lost in her blood induced state that she didn't detect the man flinching. "Don't scream-"she whispered into his ear, kissing the shell of it. "This won hurt." She promised her fangs clicked out. Lily gasped and choked on the air in her lungs,

"I know it won't monster-"the man smirked…flashing his own fangs.

Lily's eyes widened "You're a vampire-"she looked down and saw a wooden stake protruding from her chest, he snapped an arm around her waist tugging her close.

"You young vampire-nearing the three hundred mark and yet you still can't tell who's human or not-"he smirked down at her. Lily gritted her teeth and grabbed the other by his wrist.

"I'm older and faster than you don't bother-"he snarled. To prove his strength he shoved the stake further it into her chest. "Open Fire boys, we need to burn this hovel down to the ground-"he shouted Lily was startled when there was sound of bullets being fired. "I'll tell Mikael you say goodbye-"she flayed in his grasp, feeling the wooden object moving agonizingly slow towards her heart.

"Please don't-"Lily groaned in pain, tears welled up in her eyes. He smiled viciously; there were screams from the humans as they were shot at as well.

The older vampire merely smirked, he pulled out the stake, Lily clutched her chest and turned on her heel, now was her chance to flee, and Kol would have run as soon as anyway. Before she could even move, she yelled out in pain and alarm when a wooden bullet buried itself on her thigh. She collapsed and groaned, clutching her bloody thigh.

The red head covered her head as more bullets were fired, she painfully crawled behind the bar, and regret hit here when she saw Carlton the barman with a bullet in between his eyes.

"Lillian Petrova-you cannot hide-"the vampire who stabbed her yelled, Lily's skin was marred in sweat and blood, some of it was hers, and the rest was from those who had fallen. She reached out with a shaky and dug her fingers through the mess of her thigh to pluck the wooden bullet out. As soon as she did she could feel and see her skin knitting itself back together.

Lily winced…she never felt so terrified before in her existence. She could hear women and men screaming…guns going off. She felt a cool breeze behind her and glanced over her shoulder, she could see the back door wide open.

Lily bit her lip which was trembling and let out a shaky breath. She could run. The red head took a deep breath, and blurred towards the door, she smashed into a hard surface and was sent tumbling down onto the glass covered floor.

"Look I don't know a Mikael…"Lily stammered out her chest was heaving, she felt the shards of glass digging into the backs of her legs and arms,

The older vampire leered down at her, "Now that's a lie-"he smirked and slammed his booted foot down on her wrist crushing it. Lily let out a scream and looked up through half lidded eyes.

"Beg…and I won't drag this out-"he smiled obviously enjoying this...

Lily panted and whimpered in pain.

"Didn't you know that begging is beneath you." a familiar voice snarled, Lily's eyes widened when the vampire let out a choke cough, and blood bubbled from the corner of his mouth. There was a crunching sound the vampire fell face first. Lily shoved him off her legs, and saw Kol standing behind the dead vampire holding its heart.

"Want to touch it-it's still warm-"Kol held out the heart.

"Eww no-"Lily gagged, and struggled on to her feet "You know a gentleman would've helped me up-"

"Not a gentlemen darling. Have a squeeze-"she grabbed the heart and threw it across the room. "Are-you're pouting-"she said incredulously, for an all-powerful Original was sure childish at times. Lily looked around at the bar and saw several dead bodies, and in some cases body parts. "We should go-we can't be here-"

"Already on it-"Kol smiled and smashed the candle on top of the bar, with the alcohol it easily lit up; the flames were getting higher and higher.

Lily looked at the massacare….an overwhelming amount of guilt her seeing these people…they were humans, lives torn from them, "No-none of that-"Kol grabbed her wrist "bloody pesky humanity switch is such a problem-let's move-"the Original nearly shoved the red head out of the back door, she hitched up her skirt as Kol dragged her down the dirty alleyway, she jumped when there was a loud 'BANG' from the bar.

"Lillian move-"

"This isn't easy-"Lily growled he was just so calm, acting as if it didn't faze him at all. "Why aren't you bothered they were innocent people in there-Kol-!"She snarled, a low growl left the more powerful vampire's lips.

"Because they don't count-"Kol shouted grabbing her by her shoulders "they're meaningless little humans-"he said staring into her eyes.

"We were once humans too-"Lily scowled shoving him away.

Kol groaned out loud as he took a step towards her. "It's that annoying little humanity switch. I reckon you would be much more fun if it was off-"he declared.

"Don't you dare-"Lily hissed taking a step back.

Kol whined and gently cupped her face, "But you'd be so much more fun. So Lillian I want you-"she clenched her eyes shut, she recalled the first time when she witnessed him compelling another vampire, she was stunned.

"You are attracting far too much attention to yourself little brother." An English accented voice rang out.

Lily swallowed "Nik-"Kol growled, she gasped and stumbled into the wall when right before her eyes Kol choked on a shout…and his skin turned ashen grey. He was dead.

"What-YOU KILLED HIM?" she shouted dropping to her knees, "Oh my god Kol-wake up-"

"Relax Lillian, he's an Original doesn't get killed to easily." She stiffened when the man knelt down in front of her, Lily's tear stained face peered up. She held onto Kol's body.

"Who the hell are you?" Lily glared at him.

"Call me Nik." The man grinned revealed his dimples, "Lovey to see you."

Lily rolled her shoulders back and forth, she cursed under her breath as she rummaged through her large bag. And when she couldn't find what she was looking for she upturned her bag. Completely obvious to the amused looks the Salvatores were shooting her.

"You know if you didn't have this much junk then-oh muffin-"Damon went to grab it, but the red head quickly slapped it away.

"No my breakfast-"Lily grumbled "ah ha-found it-"she picked up the see-through folder with triumph.

"What's that-"

"You'll find out later-"Lily exclaimed, "how long is this going to be? I have to get to the school-"she had gotten a call from Damon, who insisted she come over so Elena could invite her in, so in case there was an actual she'd be able to enter.

"She's signing the deeds now." Stefan exclaimed. The three vampires were waiting outside the front, Lily shoved everything back into her back, and hopped up onto the stone ledge which Damon was leaning against.

"What's got you all broody and thinking?" Lily asked swiping the raven head's glass of Bourbon.

Damon sighed and leant his elbows on the rocky terrain. "Do you think Bonnie can take on Klaus?" he asked, Lily frowned at that, she heard from Jeremy about Bonnie being given the power of a hundred dead witches.

"She said she could channel enough of the witches' powers to kill him." Stefan shrugged his shoulders; he was standing across the pair.

Lily hummed "Well there's got to be a consequence of that-or-"no one should be able to channel that much power let alone a young inexperienced witch.

"You're such a ray of sunshine." Damon cut her off snatching his drink back and downing the fiery liquid.

"Anyway Elijah thought that was the case." Stefan said bringing the topic back on hand, "and he was-"

"A two faced bastard." Lily smiled wildly jumping off of the ledge.

Damon made a face "Still mad about that-?-kind of pathetic-"he groaned when she suckered punched him and sent him onto his knees.

"Kind of hypocritical coming from a vampire who spent most of his existence trying to find a woman who was into his brother." Lily drawled Stefan got quickly in-between the pair of vampires.

"Alright let's just calm thing down here-"

"Of course Saint Stefan-"Lily and Damon said in unison, they glared at each other. The youngest Salvatore groaned he felt like a migraine was coming on.

Lily cleared her throat, "Anyway even if Bonnie does have the power of the witches, we've got a slight problem." She said as she hitched her bag higher on her shoulder. "We don't know who Klaus is, or where he is." She informed the duo.

Damon groaned aloud "Can't Bonnie do one of her locator spells?" he asked,

"No-she has nothing that belongs to Klaus, rendering it useless." Lily uttered clicking her tongue. "I think Stefan asked." She added they all sat down on the edge.

"I did."

Damon stared ahead; one thing has been bugging his mind besides the impending doom…which was Katherine. The manipulative vampire has vanished as soon as Isobel did. "Do you think he killed her?" he asked after a moment of silence.

Lily looked over to him, she saw something in his icy blue yes…he still cared about her great grandmother, the woman who which screwed him over on multiple times.

"Katherine?" Stefan murmured folding his arms across his chest. "Probably."

Lily scoffed "No, from what Katerina said Klaus can hold a grudge." She put her thoughts in "Death is the easy way out, he would want to make her suffer." She declared, five hundred years on the run…Klaus seeking her out, it wouldn't just end like that….she believed the Original would want to make her punishment last for a long time.

"Well even if she is dead…"Damon drawled "she had it coming."

Lily's lips twitched and she looked at him "You don't really believe that do you?" the raven head didn't get the chance to answer since the front door finally opened. Mr Henry the lawyer stepped out after shaking Elena's hand.

"Oh Miss Peterson-your bidding-"

"I'll call you about that." Lily cut him off shaking his hand; she didn't miss the looks she was getting from the others. "What?"

Damon rolled his eyes "What do you mean 'what'? You're bidding for something or-"

Lily shook her head "No I put something up for bid-none of your business-"she added, "Anyway, but my house, I'm thinking of heading towards the sun and the sand-"she smiled. The red head was planning on leaving Mystic Falls as soon as the summer arrive, since she could only stay in this drab little town for so long.

"You're moving-"Damon frown immediately hating the idea.

"For the summer I'll be back for their senior year-maybe-"Lily shrugged her shoulders before turning to her descendent "You mind inviting me in? I've got lessons-"

Elena nodded "Yeah sure, Lily come in." The doppelganger invited her in, the red head didn't waste any time and entered the Boarding House. She heard Elena teasing Stefan and Damon, and decided to do a quick restock.

Lily skipped down the stairs and entered the cellar. She paused when she passed Elijah's door. She peered through bars and swallowed. She pushed the urge to undagger him…she had too much to do today.

Lily opened the freezer and grabbed several bags of blood, stowing it away. She returned to the parlour just as Bonnie was handing Elena her coat.

"Erm…where are you going?" the red head asked looking at the teens.

"School-"Elena replied

Ok now Lily was confused, what was the point of this so called 'safe house' if the doppelganger was just going to waltz out of it?

"No we didn't create this safe house, only for you to leave it." Damon stated coming forward,

"Right-"Elena nodded "but where?"

Lily shook her head "Exactly no one knows" Elena grabbed her bag, "Look I appreciate you doing this for me. And I'm glad that I have somewhere safe to stay whilst I'm asleep, but I'm not going to be a prisoner-"she declared, the red head smiled seeing the doppelganger was actually doing something sensible.

"Plus-"Lily pitched in "Klaus knows where she is, he had the chance to take her already and didn't. So for now we're fine."

Elena beamed seeing that she got the oldest vampire on side, meaning Damon and Stefan won't stand a chance.

"Lily you're meant to care for your descendants not let them run off-"Damon growled, the red head rolled her eyes in frustration.

"And I do…but I don't make their choices for them. Something which I think you should learn to do." Lily said smartly, and checked the time. She could still make good time for her lessons, if she left right now. Plus she wanted to seek out Alaric, to relay Jenna's message.

"Fine-"Damon said grumpily.

"Don't worry-"Bonnie exclaimed wanting to calm the group of vampires "if he shows his face I can take him, I know I can." She said confidentially.

"The way I see it next to Bonnie, is the safest place I can be." Elena declared,

Lily cleared her throat "Well now that's sorted, I'm off." She said, and pushed pass the teens, she had driven here since it would be weird if she ran all the way to school.

"Well could you at least stock up my blood-"Damon shouted after the older vampire.

"I didn't take any-"Lily shrieked back, they could hear her slamming the car door shut.

Stefan snorted and looked over to his brother "What?" Elena asked looking between the pair of Salvatores.

"Lily cleared out the freezer-"Stefan chuckled.

"And she sucks at lying." Damon announced turning on his head towards the kitchen.

Lily glanced up and smiled seeing her students piling in. She had Jeremy's class first thing and they would be going over some past lit.

"Miss Peterson-"

"Oh hi Kayla-"she grinned at the bespectacled teen, there were still more kids coming in. The room was filled with chatter and her desk was a mess of papers that were stacked into piles. She had printed and copied their assignments. "What can I do-"she uttered.

Kayla was a blond haired girl, who was incredibly shy and lacked total confidence, and the vampire decided to take it upon herself to boost the kid's self-esteem up.

"Could-co-could you-"one thing that didn't help her self-esteem was her stammer, Kayla couldn't deny it but she created a bond with her English teacher since she was patient. "Could you be my reference for this summer intern thing at Whitemore-"she asked.

"Sure-"Lily beamed as the bell rang, "Just remind me at the end of the lesson." Kayla nodded and hurried to her seat. She was about to close the door when Jeremy slipped in. she didn't miss the way the teen seem to have a grim expression on his face. "Jeremy you alright?" she asked.

Jeremy plastered a smile on to his face, knowing that Bonnie didn't want to know anyone to know about her secret, least of all Lily. "Yeah-"he cleared his throat and took his seat.

Lily frowned she could feel it in her bones that he was lying. She whistled causing the chatter to die down. "Great let's start-today we are going to go over your plans for your final assignments-remember 30% counts as your final grade-"the red head vampire uttered as she picked up the piles of papers. "So don't screw it up-"

"Lovely teaching Miss Peterson-"Craig one of the jocks said, he was a pain in the arse and on several occasions she would have to remind herself that he was a human kid, so she wouldn't kick is arse.

"Glad you like it. Now pass these back will you-and just think we'll-"Lily trailed off and groaned the plan she had made for Alaric's 60s class was here. "Right just pass these back and read through it. I'll be back-"the broke out into laughter when their English teacher did quite a good impression of the terminator.

"That was actually good-"

"Thank you Cherry I try," Lily playfully bowed "just read through it." She exited the classroom, grasping onto Alaric's lesson plan and made her way down the corridor. Her heels clacked against the polished floor, and she could hear Alaric from his room.

The red head silently made her way towards the door, and cocked an eyebrow seeing the hunter. He was either having an off day…or just really bad at history.

"The 60s" The possessed teacher announced "wish there was something I could say…New York I heard was great. The parties, women and dancing…there was also the Beetles they made it bearable…"Lily frowned…this was weird…she put it down to him being still hung on Jenna. She'll have to talk to him about it. "There was the Cuban Missile thing…we walked on the moon…Watergate-"

Lily chuckled and entered the room. "That was the 70s-"she grinned at the hunter. 'Alaric' nearly choked on the air he was breathing seeing her…when Katerina had mentioned that her great-granddaughter was working in the school, he had been most anxious to see her…he forced himself to school his features.

"Right-thanks it just all mushes up in here." 'Alaric' smiled easily at her.

Lily nodded "Tell me about-anyways I'm going to be your saviour-"she said handing him over the folder, he purposefully brushed his against her soft skin…he had the urge to touch her, feel her…Lily missed the way his eyes darkened in want. "This is your lesson plan for the day. And after this we call it quits-"she patted his arm. The hunter nodded, Lily beamed at the class.

"Don't worry kiddies your lesson is epic today-"she said cheerfully

"Bit bias-"

"Shut up Salvatore-"she said in a mock stern tone. "I'll see you later." Lily smiled at the history teacher whose fingers were crushing the paper folder. The red head vampire disappeared through the door. 'Alaric' cleared his throat seeing the attention was now on him, he flipped through the lesson plans, and quirked an eyebrow.

"Well one thing is for sure…it's not going to be a boring lesson." He declared.

Lily bit down on her apple, it was lunchtime and she had taken up residence in the staff room. And pushed through some of the papers she had to grade, "Dickens was obviously bored since he created the whole Havisham saga-"she mentally slapped herself, seems like she would need to do one-on-one session with some of her students. Obviously they weren't getting the gist of the Charles Dickens novel.

She felt a shadow over, her lips quirked into a smile already knowing who it was. "Really Ric stop staring it's weird-"the hunter plopped down in the opposite seat.

"So this is what you do? Grade papers and-"

"Honey I'm a teacher-"Lily chuckled "Plus this was meant to be done two nights ago-but the supernatural things in this town gets in the way." She uttered, 'Alaric' nodded

"Yes that does tend to happen."

"Hmm…so you've got the same excuse on being behind…or you're just too lazy?" Lily teased, he laughed

"Bit of both-"

The red head nodded and finished her apple, "How comes you came late? You're usually the first one in the staff room." she said grabbing her bottle of water, to wash down the apple with.

"Oh-" 'Alaric' nodded "Yeah I was talking to Dana, she had a question about something that we discussed frim the 60s."

Lily nodded "Was you able to answer-for a bloke who teaches the subject, you sure suck at it-"he lightly pulled her curl

"I am actually quite good at history-"he tutted,

Lily snorted and batted his hand away "Sure you are-"she rolled her eyes. "So I heard-"

"Miss Peterson-" 'Alaric' gritted his teeth and looked over his shoulder seeing Caroline standing by the door, he was actually beginning to enjoy himself…but then baby vamp had to ruin it.

"Oh hi-come on-"Lily waved her over, the blond bounced over to them. And much to the Original's annoyance Caroline sat down beside the red head. "You're in a good mood-doesn't she look like she's in a good mood?"

"She sure does." 'Alaric' said grudgingly, Lily shot him a look and mouthed 'be nice' he plastered an obviously fake smile on to his face. Making the red head roll her eyes.

"So Caroline what's got you in such a good mood?" the English teacher asked. And was amused when Caroline let out a squeal

"Me and Matt are in a really good place-"she smiled, Lily swore the teen's smile could light up a whole room.

"That's good-"Lily nodded "anything else?"

Caroline nodded "The banners haven't been put up yet, and the gym needs to be decorated-we've done most of there's just some finishing touches and-"

"You want me to help out?" the red head asked stoically, "Honey puppy dog eyes do not work on me-"she wagged her finger, Clara was the only one who could get away with it. She heard the history teacher snorting.

"Please Lily-just-it'd take you five minutes max-"she added.

"This is meant to be a dance that the students organised not me-you're lucky I'm even chaperoning-"Lily said.

Caroline sighed and nodded "I know but-if we do it-"she was referring to the students "it won't be ready in time. so please-"

Lily clicked her tongue "Come on Lily be nice-she'll do it." 'Alaric' told the blond, hoping that would send her on her way.

"Oh thank you, thank you-"Caroline squealed, both Lily and 'Alaric' winced at the pitch of the blond vampire. "See ya later, and wear something that shows off those great legs of yours." She said.

Lily kicked 'Alaric' hard in the shin, causing him to let out a grunt "Oww what the hell-"

"You know what the hell-"Lily huffed "teen dances are so…ergh-I didn't even want to chaperone." She grumbled,

The man across her eyes cocked an eyebrow and canted her head to the side. "What I thought you'd like dances-"

"Waltzes and the classics-grinding against a mass of people is so not my thing." Lily said

"Well maybe if you've got the right partner you might enjoy it." he drawled, the red head shook her head,

"Well-"she was cut off when her phone rang; she pulled it out and frowned seeing 'Damon' flashing across her screen. "Damon?..."her eyes widened hearing what the pissed off vampire was saying. "Yeah-yeah we're on our way." She stood up.

"What's wrong?" 'Alaric' asked playing along.

"We have to get to the Boarding House. Did you bring your car?" she asked pulling out of the staff room.

"Nope, guess I'm with you then." He said following after the vampire.

Lily walked up the stairs to the Boarding House, and could hear Damon and the others inside. 'Alaric' knocked on the door before opening it.

"Good you got him-"Damon nodded towards his drinking buddy. He looked at the pair of teachers, they entered the Boarding House. Lily could see whole gang here, par Caroline. "I need for one of you to put me down as chaperone for the dance tonight."

"Do you have a fetish for attending high school dances?" Lily questioned, making the younger vampire to stick out his tongue. "Mature arsehole. "

"No Klaus made his first move. Actually he was at the school didn't you notice anything?" Damon rounded on the red head.

"No-I was with Alaric the whole time I was there, besides in lessons." Lily announced folding her arms across her chest; they were all standing around the parlour.

"So we find him and then what?" Elena asked. "What's our plan of attack?"

Lily puffed her cheeks out and shook her head "Odds aren't in our favour-we don't know what he looks like…hell he could be right under our noses." She added.

"Yeah…how about that." 'Alaric' declared, he wasn't going to lie but he was actually having fun with this.

"Good thing Jenna is away." The red head stated, Elena nodded

"I'm the plan of attack." Bonnie said abruptly. "He has no idea how much power I can channel, if you can find him I can kill him." she declared.

Lily bit on her plump bottom lip thoughtfully "What? Just like that?" she questioned, this vampire was an Original…he would have a back-up plan or something.

'Alaric' nodded "Lily's got a point, I mean he's the biggest baddest vampire around." He uttered.

Lily made a face and tucked her hands into the pockets of her pants. "I didn't say that-but…kind of true." She said.

Damon nodded "They got a point; I mean what if he-"all of a sudden the raven head vampire blurred towards Bonnie, the witch easily deflected him by throwing her hand out, sending Damon across the room.

Lily snorted, and Stefan smirked "Huh I was impressed-"the youngest Salvatore ignored the dirty look his brother shot him.

The older Petrova smothered her giggles, she let out a low whistle "Damn Damon, you got your arse handed you to-"

"It's bloody ass-I got my ass handed to me." He grumbled and pushed himself up onto his feet.

Bonnie cleared her throat bringing the attention back to her, "It doesn't matter if he's an Original, I can take down anyone who comes at me." She stated, before looking at her best friend "I can kill him Elena, I know I can." She said.

From the corner of her eyes she could see the history teacher frowning. Lily gently nudged his elbow, "You ok Ric?" she asked, as the group broke up. The red head checked the time, she needed to get back to the school to quickly set up the last of the decorations. "We're off-"she called out grabbing 'Alaric' by the wrist.

"Just worried about tonight." He told her, letting Lily go in front…his eyes automatically dropped down to her rear…and then swept over her hips.

"Are you checking me out?" Lily said with amusement as she climbed into the car, a minute later he was sitting beside her in the passenger seat. The red head was his ride and was going to drop him back at his place. "Because that's a big no-no-"she chuckled revving the engine, and the car roared to life.

"And that's bad because…"he trailed off licking his lips.

Lily shot him a look "Because you're in love with my best friend." She said it as if it was the most obvious thing in the world; she pressed her foot down on the pedal. "Are you drunk or something-?" she asked outright, something was off with Alaric.

"No-just-Jenna-"he scrounged his mind for that woman's name.

Lily made an understanding noise, "Ah right-well I actually got good news for you-"she said tearing down the road. The Original grimaced one thing that he didn't miss over the years was Lily's driving.

"Would you mind slowing down love-"he blurted out,

A befuddled look crosses her face and her head snapped in Alaric's imposter direction. "Did you just call me love-"she asked, and shoved down the breaks as they skidded to a halt. "Well?" they were outside his apartment block.

He sighed and raised his hands up in surrender "Alright you caught me." He said simply, Lily was confused

"Huh?" there was a moment of silence…she couldn't help but feel her pulse quicken thinking…well she didn't know what she was thinking.

"I've took a few glasses of Bourbon at lunch time and…I just miss Jenna so much." He sagged in the seat, and inwardly smirked when Lily bought it.

"Aw Ric-"she wrapped her arm around his shoulders and hugged in, 'Alaric' leant into her touch "Well I got news for you-"she smiled unbuckling her seatbelt, she could shift around. She was now facing him.

"It's good news I'm guessing-"he murmured.

Lily playfully pouted "You see right through me.-"he laughed "anyways I got word from Jenna, she is coming back soon. And she wants to talk to you-so you're in there-"she grinned. It faltered when there was a lack of response from the history teacher. "Shouldn't you be overwhelmed or something?"

'Alaric's' lips stretched into a smile "Sorry just-wow she's giving me a chance-"Lily grinned and surprised him by hugging him…it made Klaus think how close was she to this hunter? "So just don't fuck it up right?" she tapped his nose, and leant over to open his side of the car.

The hidden Original inhaled her sweet scent, and smiled when she straightened up.

"I'll see you at the dance, and see if you can find something vintage." Lily kissed him on the cheek and sat back in her seat. "Ric…you wanna get out now?"

"Oh-right. Bye Lily-"'Alaric' jumped out of the car, with a wave the vampire was off. "Seriously need to get back in my own body…then I'll be able to enjoy her kisses." He said to himself.

Lily zipped up her white go-go boots. And stood up in front of the mirror, she had gotten home after dropping off Alaric. She had a quick shower and had a small dinner as well as downing two blood-bags. Before she got ready. The red head had dug out some of her old dresses from the 60s she had stored away.

The vampire decided on a mini dress, with splashes of orange and brown. It had been one of her favourites back in the day.

"And I is done-"she said to herself, she self-consciously tugged the skirt of her dress down "girls in the 60s were sure slutty-"she mumbled and smoothed down her curls.

Lily checked the time and knew she needed to leave now. She shut the front door behind her and locked it. When she turned back to walk down the gravel path she nearly jumped out of her skin seeing 'Alaric' there.

"Hey-what are you-"

"I thought I'd come and help you out…plus…my car broke down the road." Lily snorted and nodded

"Now that makes more sense. So Mr Saltzman, do I look like a 60s pin up girl?" she spun around.

He chuckled "You look stunning-"he declared.

Lily blushed "Quit doing that. You're meant to be making your girlfriend blush-"she slapped him upside the head

"Apologies Lily-" 'Alaric' sighed, causing her to frown in concern, she noted him staring off at the Gilbert house, she followed his gaze her heightened hearing picked up only two heartbeats, she guessed that the doppelganger was at the Boarding House, getting ready there.

"So fancy being my date tonight?" 'Alaric' asked,

"Ric you-"

"No as friends I mean-"he hastily added, Klaus and her were far from friends though. Another added bonus of using the hunter's body though was that he and his red head seem to have a close friendship going on. "I just…last decade dance Jenna was here…and now-I just don't want to go and be reminded that she isn't here." he played her,

"Come on Ric" Lily said clapping him on the shoulder "I think I can keep you company for the dance. and must say nice outfit choice."

"Thanks-took a while to find." He drawled, she smiled and started the car "So do you think it's smart for Elena to go tonight?" he asked.

Lily shrugged her shoulders "She's a Petrova, however much she wants to deny that she's not like Katerina, she sure is stubborn like her." she pulled out of her driveway. "You mind buckling in? It would totally suck if I kill my best hunter friend." She joked and zipped down the road.

'Alaric' canted his head to the side, as Lily took her usual route towards the school. "So do you know many hunters?" he asked.

"What? Oh no-well there has been some brushes with a few in the last few years." She admitted "nothing life-threatening, the werewolves were the biggest problem." She mumbled, and cursed when a car in front of her got into her lane. "SON OF A BITCH-USE YOUR BLOODY INDICATOR-"she shrieked. Causing the possessed hunter to wince at the volume of her voice,

"Your road rage is out of control-" 'Alaric' said and gripped onto his seat, when she spun the wheel if he wasn't strapped in, he knew he would be moving across his seat.

"Not road rage- it's only called that if I'm completely out of my mind." Lily drawled "So what's with all the questions Ric?" she called him out "you're asking me a lot-"she added.

'Alaric' shrugged his shoulders "Just curious, I'm a history teacher, and you're the living embodiment of history-"he added.

"Honey you were asking about hunters-"Lily's lips quirked at the corners.

"Yeah that was rather random-"he lied. Klaus had kept constant tabs on the red head wanting to know whether she was safe or not.

"Hmm-here we are-"Lily finally pulled up to large school building. "So get ready to blow up some balloons." She winked clamouring out of the car.

The dance was now in full swing, and the gymnasium was decorated completely, Lily had to admit when Caroline organised something it always turned out so well.

There was music, and with the sound system they had ordered it echoed around the halls. Lily had used her enhanced abilities to place the streamers, she swung her hips to the music, and laughed when Rocky one of the more dorky kids attempted to some street dancing.

The gymnasium was filled with music, laugher and chatter….such a human atmosphere the vampire thought.

"Rocky careful-"Lily tutted and winced when the teen popped his shoulder out of his socket, the place was packed with kids. They were all moving to the music.

"Oh god Miss Peterson I think I'm dying-"Rocky nearly sobbed.

Lily snorted and grasped his arm firmly "No you're not-how's the assignment going?" she asked, distracting him.

"Pretty-ARGH-"he yelled out in pain when Lily put his arm successfully back in his socket.

"There you go-"she smiled and shoved him back on the dance-floor, Lily nodded her head towards the music and was about to go get herself a drink, she was also on the lookout for Elena, the Salvatores, Bonnie and Jeremy. She had put Damon's name down for the dance, which was rather an easy feat.

A hand snagged her wrist, and she found herself being twirled "Alaric-"she grinned at her friend.

"Lily must say your vamp abilities were put to use. The place looks great-"he said, and dipped her causing the red head to laugh.

"Aww stop flattering me.-"she said sternly but there was a playful twinkle in her eye. 'Alaric' mockingly clutches his heart.

"Afraid that's not so easy lo-Lily-"Klaus mentally berated himself he needed to be more careful…otherwise she'll be onto him. "So-you're a dab hand at this type of thing-"the pair of teachers was jostled by the crowds of students.

"Hardly" Lily grinned "ergh Tag is trying to spike the punch-bowl. Try and not embarrass yourself-"she squeezed passed him. Klaus watched as she disappeared into the crowd of students…he could still feel her in his arms…well not his…he wanted out of this damn body. It felt more than wrong to be touching her, whilst he was stuck in this meat suit. Once witch-bitch was dead, and the sacrifice was done he'll be able to move on, and take Lily with him. After all it was only the logical thing to do. His eyes landed on the Dana girl, before swiftly moving over to her date…he could use the boy.

"There you are-"Lily spotted 'Alaric', there was a slow dance taking place. She pushed her way through the sea of students, and stood on the side-lines beside him.

"Here I am you-oh thanks for the drink Lily, but I'm not a fan of fruity punch-"he said as the vampire shoved a plastic red cup into his empty hand. She was holding one herself.

"No you arse-"Lily rolled her eyes "we need something much stronger than fruity punch to get through this evening." She said with smile, and took a sip.

'Alaric' took a sip and groaned "Malt whisky? How the-"

"I think Tag raided his father's liquor cabinet." Lily chuckled, and spotted Damon and the others. She saw Elena waving at her with a smile on her face; the red head returned the gesture. She downed the malt whisky and sighed,

"You thirsty…for blood I mean?" the possessed hunter asked.

Lily quirked an eyebrow "Hmm…no-"

"Did you feed?" he demanded to know, causing her to frown.

"Why are you concerned with my feeding habits anyway? Usually you kind of not want me to mention it." Lily stated,

'Alaric' shrugged his shoulders, "Well we don't want a hungry vamp in a school of kids." He stated, lying to her face.

Lily chuckled "I think you got the wrong vampire. We all know who's got issues with being on the wagon." She whispered nodding towards Stefan, the younger vampire obviously heard her, and proceeded to childishly stick his tongue out. Lily laughed brushing back some of her curls which had fallen out of the small jewelled clip.

The music died down as Dana took to the stage, the red head knew it wasn't just Caroline who helped out; the brunette teen also did a fantastic job.

"Thanks for being here everybody-"Dana yelled into the microphone, there was a round of applause "we have a special shout out tonight, this is for Elena-"Lily stiffened and a frown marred her face "from Klaus." She finished off.

A muscle in Lily's jaw twitched at that. She could already see her descendent tensing up at that, as the teens clapped.

"Whoa-so he could be here then?" 'Alaric' shoved his hands into his pocket.

"Or-"Lily countered "he could be making us want to think he was here….arsehole, there goes another high-school dance that's ruined…"she grumbled and snatched the plastic cup out of the history teacher's hand.

"Are you an actual fan of high school dances?" 'Alaric' cocked an eyebrow, amusement was clearly written on his face, seeing the pout on the red head's face.

"Just want one dance not to turn in to a supernatural war-fare." Lily huffed "Ergh here's Damon…"

"Lovely to see you too sweet Lillian." Damon smirked; his eyes roamed over her body, the pair were completely oblivious to the hunter clenching his hands into fists. "Must say Lily you should get your legs out more…"he licked his lips "they look good-"

"Eww-you're such a dick-"Lily scowled "plus stop fantasising about my legs, it weird especially since you're in love with my descendent." She added.

Damon pouted and took a step forward "But Lily, the look so inviting-pale-long-"

"Eyes up Salvatore" 'Alaric' growled burning a hole into the vampire's head. Klaus shoved down the urge to shred the boy to bits.

"Whoa calm down Ric-just kidding around-"Damon help his hands up seeing the glare on the laid back teacher's face. "I'm never going to get your friendship-"he muttered.

Lily rolled her eyes "Of course you won't since it's platonic, you have to turn everything sexual-"she drawled.

"Hey I am who I am. You told me to be proud of that." Damon smiled widely, Lily grinned

"And you're a total dick…just don't shove it in my face." she countered.

Damon shrugged his shoulders; his eyes fell back towards Elena and Stefan. 'Alaric' didn't miss this.

"So-"he cleared his throat, he needed to be civil, playing the history teacher was wearing on his nerves "Special dedication huh? This guy is a little twisted."

"Five hundred years spent hunting Katerina…that should have told you something. Can't say he isn't dedicated himself." Lily commented, her emerald green orbs wondered over the crowd of people, no one stuck out…she knew all the kids and the teachers. Perhaps there was no Klaus here?

"I'm not impressed." Damon said cockily, 'Alaric's' head snapped in his direction.

"No?"

"Let me know if you see anything out of whack." He informed the pair before meandering off.

Lily hummed "He's scared for her you know." She said to 'Alaric' "being in love with your brother's girl…such a bad thing to be." Lily said.

'Alaric' pressed his lips together, "How about we dance Lily? Might as well have some fun." He held out his hand.

The red head smiled, everyone else was dancing so why shouldn't they? So with that thought in mind she grasped on to 'Alaric's' hand, and he pulled her onto the dance floor

"You're actually good-Jen never mentioned this-"Lily's cheeks were flushed as they moved to the music, 'Alaric' spun her out and brought her back in.

"Well I got moves that Jenna hasn't seen before." He smirked and dipped the red head.

"They look cosy-"Lily said, she left 'Alaric' and headed over to Elena and Jeremy.

"Hmm…makes me think they're up to something-"the brunette teen murmured, Lily helped herself to a glass of punch.

"Or they could be secretly in love with each other." The red head said casually. Causing both brunettes to choke on their own drinks

"What-"Jeremy and Elena gasped.

"Joking-"Lily laughed "any clue though Jeremy?"

"No-nothing I need some air." He hurriedly left, Lily frowned and grasped Elena by her wrist

"You stay here I'll deal with him." it would make more sense for the doppelganger to be with the Salvatores then chase after Jeremy.

Lily weaved her way through the crowd and opened the double doors; a small sigh left her lips feeling the cool air against her skin.

"Jeremy-"she called after him, her heels clacked against the polished floor. The red head easily catch-up with him, "You're hiding something-"she forced him to turn around.

"I'm not-"he said moodily and went in the other direction, he jumped when she appeared in front of him.

"I'm a vamp you can't exactly run from me. Now spill." She ordered sternly. Jeremy's retrain wavered before completely crumbling. He looked down; Lily gently lifted his face, so his eyes met hers. "Jeremy you can tell me."

Jeremy nodded….they needed to know what Bonnie was up to. It was only fair. "It's Bonnie…"

"What is it?" Lily asked, Jeremy remained silent "Jeremy it's obviously bothering you. Tell me."

He was nervous about telling them, especially Lily and Elena but he had to man up. "If Bonnie takes on Klaus, channelling all that energy is going to kill her." he revealed.

Lily pinched the bridge of her nose. She knew it was too good….she had a gut feeling it wasn't going be the case…the witch killing an Original wasn't going to be a simple task.

"What am I supposed to do Lily?" Jeremy asked looking to her for advice.

Lily cleared her throat. "You're going to tell your sister the truth. Come on." She took his hand and led him back to the gymnasium.

She pushed her way into the dance, and Stefan's eyes immediately landed on her. "Go-"she pushed him in Elena's direction.

"Hey what's going on?" Stefan asked.

Lily swallowed "I think your brother has a lot to answer for." She got the feeling that Damon knew about Bonnie's suicide mission since the pair were acting odd around each other. The older vampire went on to tell the youngest Salvatore what was going on.

"Come on Lily you're looking far to glum for a dance-"Lily found herself propelled into the crowd of students.

"Ric-"he threw his hands up and shimmied, causing the red head to laugh loudly.

"Have some fun-"

"Kind of difficult when one of my students is on a suicide mission-"she said loudly over the music.

'Alaric' made a face "You can't not dance to this-one of your favourites I believe-"he grabbed her hand and they moved to the music, "Go on, you know the words-"he goaded.

Lily grinned, one thing about not being the only teacher here who was aware of what was going on…Alaric helped her forget. When the pair got together she kind of actually forgot about their problems. If only Jenna was here, then it'll be even more fun.

"Running as fast as we can-"Lily sang to the music and laughed when he sang back. "Gosh we are some lame oldies-"she spun around causing her hair to hit his face.

"Ah but we know how to have a good time." He countered. "Oh looks like drama-"he said, she followed his gaze and saw Stefan dragging Damon out. And Bonnie and Elena had vanished. She stopped dancing and noted that even Jeremy was gone. "Something's up-"she said.

"Come this way-"the history grabbed Lily's hand, dragging her way through the crowd, till they came to a stop by the bleachers,

"Ric you sure you're ok-?" Lily asked

'Alaric' shook his head "Just-"

"You had the whole bottle of malt whisky didn't' you?" she said before glancing around, there were no signs of Damon or Stefan. "Where'd-"her eyes bugged out when 'Alaric' all of a sudden smashed his lips against hers. Lily stumbled back into the bleachers and would have fallen if he didn't grasp her by her shoulders his lips moved eagerly against hers.

It took her a second to comprehend what was going on, the red head shoved him away and hastily wiped her mouth. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" she spat. "You're with Jenna-you-"

'Alaric' shook his head "Sorry I'm not myself-"he smirked "I'll go out and get some air." Before she could question him he hurriedly left.

Lily frowned and rubbed her lips….there was something weird with him…"I'm not myself-"she mumbled remembering his words…her eyes roamed the gymnasium, there was no Elena, Salvatores…Jeremy…Bonnie…Alaric "I'm not myself-oh shit-"she swore realisation hitting her.

Lily jogged down the corridor, she could hear shouting….she was heading into the abandoned part of the school. She rounded the corner, and could hear Elena.

"Alaric are you on vervaine?" the doppelganger asked,

"Now why would you ask me that Elena?" he smirked, and it widened seeing the familiar red head.

"Back off-"Lily growled appearing behind the pair of teens, the hunter took another step towards the three females.

"What's going on?" Bonnie demanded

He chuckled "Lillian figured it already didn't you-"Lily's lips curled up into a snarl "It was the kiss right? Totally out of character right?"

"What-what's going on?" the witch demanded.

'Alaric' rolled his eyes "I'm not Alaric." he revealed.

Lily swallowed…he took another step towards them. "Klaus-"she breathed.

"Surprise-"the red head vampire found it downright creepy when his face lip up. This wasn't Alaric. "You're possessing him-where is Alaric?" she snapped.

Klaus rolled his eyes "Don't worry darling Lillian he's safe. Must say I don't like how close you are with him-"

She narrowed her eyes "This isn't possible-"the doppelganger was in denial.

"Relax Elena, you're not on my hit list tonight-"his eyes moved over to Bonnie, "But you on the other hand are-"Lily gasped when he ran at Bonnie, the witch hurriedly threw her hand out, sending 'Alaric-or Klaus whatever' careening towards the lockers.

Lily didn't miss the way he easily got back on to his feet, laughing as he did so. She took a step forward so she was partially blocking the two teenagers. "Did I mention that I know a few witches as well?" he smirked.

"Not a shocker-"Lily sneered

"You're going to have to hit me a lot harder than that-"he once again ran at them, but the red head was just as fast and shot forward meeting him halfway.

"Lily-"Elena shouted as her ancestor threw him into the trophy case. Lily glared down at him, and held him by his throat.

"I love it when you're rough-"he smirked gripping her thigh. She dug her fingers into his throat causing him to groan "Keep doing that love, I can just get into another body-your witch's…Elena…those Salvatore boys-"

"Run-"She heard Bonnie shouting in the background.

Lily snarled, flashing her fangs at him "You're lucky you're using this body-"she hissed.

"One of the many reasons I used him." Klaus smirked up at her, since he had a witch's magic over him….he was able to flip Lily over, she gasped feeling a shard of glass in the small of her back, causing her to arch upwards.

"How-"

"Witches know what to do, especially when you threaten them-"their roles were reversed, he had her by her throat…unlike her grip on him, he was crushing her wind-pipe. "Sorry love about stabbing you-I'll see you when I'm in the right suit-"he winked and kissed her hard on the lips before jogging on.

Lily winced and gingerly sat up, fire coursed through her veins when she moved. She reached down and pulled down the piece of glass. And felt her skin knitting together again. She staggered on to her feet; she needed to find the others.

Lily sped out of the hallway and burst through the double doors, seeing Damon and Bonnie there…Elena wasn't there, most likely disappeared to find Stefan.

"What-I thought you was keeping Klaus occupied?" the raven head snapped.

Lily glared at him "He got away-"

"You're four hundred-"

"He stabbed me in the back….and the witches gave him something extra." She rushed out

"See-"Bonnie declared "He's trying to kill me-"

"No-"Damon gritted his teeth shaking his head "Klaus does not get to win tonight-you're still willing to do whatever it takes-"

"Yes-"Bonnie agreed.

Lily frowned "What-you're going to get yourself killed-"she rounded on the teen.

"I have to-"

"The hell you do." Lily growled

"Don't you get it-"Damon grabbed the older vampire's by her shoulders "we've got a way to end this-"

"By killing a child Damon-that's what she is-"Lily snarled.

"A witch-she-"Damon snapped.

"She-"

"It's my choice Lily-"Bonnie intervened "I'm sorry but I have to do this-"she said.

"I'm not going to let you-"Lily snapped and grabbed Damon's hand, easily breaking it. The vampire groaned but kept one hand securely on her.

"You don't have a choice. Sorry Lily-"Bonnie said mournfully. She had gotten behind the red head whilst she was arguing with Damon.

"What-"Lily gasped and jolted forward in Damon's open arms. She felt the darkness take her. The eldest Salvatore gently lowered an unconscious Lily to the floor, out of the way.

He looked up just as Bonnie threw aside the empty syringe which had been full of vervaine.

"Not bad witchy." Damon smirked. "How comes every time you want me out of the way you give me a brain explosion thing?"

Bonnie rolled her eyes and scowled "Because I actually like her don't want Lily to get hurt" Bonnie snapped. "Let's do this." She had stabbed Lily with the needle in the back…she was so going to get a telling off later. With one last glance she and Damon strolled away.

Lily groaned and blinked. "What the hell-"she slowly sat up and winced. She felt weak and drained. The red head used the lockers and walls to push herself out. She shook her head and staggered out of the school and into the parking lot, where she could see Damon. Her eyes hardened and she clumsily made her way towards him.

Being vervained sucked…she was recovering from it though faster than before. Since Lily had sort of gained semi-immunity to it, since she had been ingested it since after the werewolf incident.

"What the-oh my god-"Lily choked seeing Bonnie's form in the back of Damon's trunk.

"Lily-"

"You son of a bitch-"she growled, anger, rage and fury swept through her. "Your brilliant plan killed her-"

"No-"Damon yelped when Lily threw him into wall. "Just listen-"she ran at him, and grabbed him by the back of his head, before slamming so hard against the brick wall, causing parts of it to crumble. The red head flipped him around, and held him up by his throat.

"I'm all for keeping Elena alive, but don't think everyone else is just going to be collateral damage-"she sniped.

"She's alive—"he choked out, his temple was covered in blood and his eyes watered.

"What-"

Damon inhaled as much air as he could; he felt his windpipe which she had completely crushed beginning to heal. "Bonnie-she's alive-"he mouthed not wanting to risk anyone, meaning Klaus's minions to find out. "He needed to believe that-"

Lily staggered back; relief swept through her…Bonnie was ok. "Ah-that's good-"she smiled before it dropped. "Who's idea was it to vervaine me?" she asked.

"Bonnie-so we're cool yeah?" he smoothed down his jacket a smirk on his face.

Lily canted her head to the side "Not just yet-"she pulled her fist back and punched him straight in the face, breaking his nose. Damon groaned and clutched his bloodied nose and clicked it into place.

"What the fuck was that for?"

"For bloody lying you arsehole, I would have got in on this plan if you told me." Lily huffed, he glared at her "When you're not too busy come over…you sort of deserve the good Bourbon." She nodded, and with a kiss on the cheek she disappeared.

Damon shook his head, his nose healing up already "Only woman who can punch me…then offer me a drink." He mumbled making his way towards his car.

"Damon-"Jeremy called.

"Great-"the snarky vampire mumbled, he would have to deal with baby Gilbert now. He wished Lily was here to deal with the angsty teen.

It was way pass midnight, Lily was showered and was currently in her kitchen, she was sitting on the bar stool, sipping on a glass of blood. Her phone was by her hand, one thought was running around her mind. Klaus was in town...it felt like he knew her.

She just realised that she basically spent the whole day with Klaus…and much to her annoyance she actually enjoyed it. But this could all have been a front….the Original was here, and from tonight one thing Lily learnt was none of them stood a chance against him. They would need help…from a certain Original.

She licked her lips and downed the rest of the blood, she grabbed the phone and dialled Elena's number, and she already knew that the doppelganger was staying nights at the Boarding House.

"Hello?"

"Elena-"

"Lily-what' what's wrong-?"

"We…our best bet against Klaus is Elijah." Lily uttered. "Pull the dagger out of him." She instructed. She heard Elena's breath hitch, unknown to Lily the doppelganger was contemplating this…they needed him.

"You sure?" she whispered.

Lily swallowed…it was their only choice at the moment "Yes. He wanted your help, and now we need his. Just wake him." Without another word she hanged up.

Lily pressed her lips together…she didn't know what she would say to him…but right now she was heading to bed. She would deal with him tomorrow if he stopped by.
