For over an hour you simply lay in Prussia's arms, quietly sleeping as he braced his legs on the other side of the jeep, so the rough bumps and turns wouldn't jolt you awake. Thankful for removing the metal or not, a wild wolf, disorientated at just being woken up, was something he did not want to have to deal with.

You stirred slightly in his grasp, digging your nose into the crook of his arm in your sleep, trying to find a warmer spot. Prussia let out a small (manly) giggle, it was tickly! He moved his arms a little, eliciting a small grumble of annoyance from the subconscious wolf.

"Hey Gilbert? I gotta say, I'm glad Vash is behind us in the other jeep with that other wolf. Imagine what he'd say if he found you flirting with a wolf?" Matthew joked, in his quiet voice, the Canadian accent creeping into the sentence towards the end. Gilbert blushed a deep red, that wasn't what he was doing! The animal was scared, he's simply calming it down!

"Vell Birdie, vhat vould West say if we turned up vith a female volf so terrified of her surroundings zat she gave herself tetanus und died from rusty metal? Zat vould look terrible, West vould kill me!" Gilbert half joked back.

He started stroking your thick pelt, trying to calm down the blush in his cheeks as well as comprehend what Birdie just said. Flirting? Get real, it's only a stupid animal! West needs her for the experiment, she's nothing but an overgrown test rat.

"Gilbert? ...you ok?"

"Ja ja, Birdie, now be quiet und drive kesesesese" Gilbert laughed off, his embarrassment giving him a much lighter mood. "How long until ve arrive?"

"Eh, about ten minutes, I think?" The constantly-nervous Canadian replied. Gilbert nodded in acknowledgment, before putting you back in your cage quickly. You looked at him with your big (e/c) eyes. You would not whine, telling him you missed the warmth of being pressed up against his chest, or the soothing beating of his heart through the delicate ribcage. So you sat there, simply looking curious and a bit disbelieving that he would put you back in the cage, after all of that before. What had changed, you thought?

Gilbert turned around, fishing something out of a box bolted to the floor of the jeep, and took out a weird conical piece of strengthened leather with a long chain tied to it. It smelt of cow and wax, and looked very strong. What was it for, you wondered, eyeing the man cautiously as he opened the cage door again and pulled you towards him.

"Got it on her yet?" Matthew asked without looking at Gilbert "We're nearly here, you know"

"One minute Birdie, nearly done" Gilbert growled back, slightly peeved that the one job he had, the Canadian thought he couldn't do. pulling you towards him none-too-gently, he placed the muzzle over your mouth, tying it under your jaw, and looping the chain around your neck as a sort of lead. It was a weird device, it fit you snugly, you had to admit, and you went to give a small bark of approval, but felt you couldn't move your jaws.

A panic started to envelope you, and you whined and scratched at the muzzle, only getting a "kesesese" in reply before hearing the cage close again. Rubbing it off the sides of the cage made no difference, and you couldn't get your claws into any holes or anything to tear it apart. Still, you didn't give up, even as Gilbert jumped back into the front passenger seat and you felt the car finally come to a stop.

Ignoring all the noises and smells from outside the jeep doors, you focused your efforts on trying to get this muzzle off, but to no avail.

A/N: Hey look, it's finally done! Sorry for keeping you waiting, I don't get much time on the computer at home, so this is kind of rushed. I don't really like it, I feel it's too much of a filler chapter, which I never really like anyways, but oh well!

Reviews=Love. I love all those that review :D (I love those that don't review too, don't worry, but ahhh go on, and review ;) Thirty seconds it all it takes !)
