Chapter 2: Denial and Acceptance
A/N: Hello! It's SL! :) I'm back! Here is a VERY long overdue update for this story. Please enjoy guys! R & R! :)

The first thing that began was the denial. People began to shout accusations towards the sadistic stuffed bear.
"You liar!"
"Don't listen to him guys, it's just a stuffed bear!"
"No one will willingly commit a murder!"
"Hey, hey, now! I am not 'just a stuffed bear'! I am your headmaster! The principal! So show me some respect, you bastards!" Monobear announced.
No one was really listening. They all just kept talking and talking until we noticed Death the Kid march up onto the stage and roughly grab Monobear.
"Listen up you asymmetrical, foul-mouthed creature! You give up on this sick joke and let us all go right now! I won't tolerate this any longer! Let us go right now or I'll-"
Kid was interrupted by Monobear. The bear had been flailing its arms against Kid's grip, but all of a sudden stopped and repeated in a monotonous and out of place tone, "Violence against the headmaster is strictly prohibited! I repeat, strictly prohibited! There will be punishment for those who violate this school rule! Violence is-"
A loud beeping noise started and it seemed to be coming from the bear as it continued on. It came to me that with the bear going on and on about punishment for students, it was highly possible that the beeping noise was a bomb. That was inside the bear. And about to explode. Right in Kid's face.
"KID! Toss that bear away from you right now!" I yelled at him.
"Why?" He gave me a confused glanced as the beeping grew faster.
"Just do it! Now!" I cried desperately, sure that my gut feeling was correct.
Kid chucked Monobear away from him right in time, as the bear exploded in midair, leaving a puff of smoke in its wake. I knew it; the bear did have some sort of bomb-like device hidden inside.
"What the…" Kid muttered.
"Well, that solves that problem." Liz remarked.
"I TOLD you no violence against the headmaster!" Monobear popped up from behind the podium. At our shocked faces, he added, "You can't kill me! I've got plenty of other bodies! Destroy this one and I'll just get a new one." Monobear grinned evilly and turned towards Death the Kid. "I'm letting you off with a warning this time, but next time, don't expect to do that again and come out unscathed. Upupupu!" The bear laughed maniacally.
Everyone remained in denial, but decided to no longer voice their thoughts out loud.
"Anyway," Monobear continued with his introductory lecture, "If you reach into your pocket, you should see that you all have a student handbook containing basic personal information and the school rules."
Sure enough, I found that I had an electronic handbook of my own; it contained most of my personal information, along with some basic information about others, a school map, school rules, and other generic information. I tapped on the school rules section. It showed 7 school rules. Sure enough, one of them happened to be "Violence against the headmaster is strictly prohibited; going against this rule will result in severe punishment."
Briefly, I skimmed over the other rules. Most of them seemed to be just like ordinary school rules, but the last one did catch my eye. "Night Time?" I wondered aloud.
Monobear glanced over in my direction, his creepy grin never fading. "Glad to see one of you dumbasses actually noticed the rule about Night Time! If you haven't seen it yet, it states that the time period from 10 pm to 7 am is considered 'Night Time'! During this time, you will be prohibited from entering certain areas and the water is also turned off!" The bear looked at all of us then stated, "Well, that should be about it by now! Welcome to the DWMA, bastards! It is currently nearing Night Time, so if you want to get acquainted, you'd better hurry up! There's a map inside you electronic ID if you need some help finding your way around….or if you need a good spot to plot your murder! Upupupu!"
The bear laughed once more, then hopped off of the podium and walked off the stage. However, before he left, he added, "And don't you dare try to break the rules! I'll notice! I'm always watching! Upupupupu!" Then, with a puff of smoke, Monobear disappeared.
We, just stood there, shocked and overwhelmed at the wealth of information we had just received. So much to learn! What a crazy place…
But I can't help but wonder if it's all true. Do we really have to kill someone to escape this prison? I mean, yeah I might not be good friends with everyone here, but that doesn't mean I'd willingly murder them! But do the others feel the same way? Someone tapped be on the shoulder, and I lost my train of thought. I spun around and found myself standing right next to Soul.
"Hey. What do you think we should do? And what did you think of the dumbass 'Monobear'?" He asked in his cool voice.
Strange, I didn't think he would be the one asking me what to do. It just seemed like...I don't know… he was the one that seems like the kind of person that always has a plan of action, not me.
"Well, Monobear appears to be a sadistic little toy and not to mention quite the creeper as well. And to be honest I'm not quite sure what we should do. How are the others taking the news?"
"Not well." He replied, using his hand to gesture at the other 13 students. Some people were panicking and running everywhere wildly. Others were chatting amongst themselves, concern written all over their faces. I noticed Crona curled up into a ball in the corner of the room saying in an anguished tone, "We-we're stuck? W-we ha-have to kill somebody? I can't deal with this!"
Ox and Black Star appeared to be plotting ways to kill Monobear, while Tsubaki, Kim, Jackie and Harvar were chatting quietly amongst themselves towards the middle of the room. I couldn't help but notice that groups were already starting to form. Unsure of where I fit in the best, I walked over to the group consisting of Kid, Liz, Killik, Patty, Fire, and Thunder; Soul followed suit.
"So what do you guys think we should do?" I asked the group.
"We should split up," Death the Kid answered me. "It's…" He checked the time on his Student ID Handbook, "9:00 right now, so we still have 1 hour we can use to inspect this place we're stuck in. If we're trapped here, we should at least know our way around. There may be a map in our handbooks, but it's always good to see a new place for yourself."
Wow, Kid is really taking on the leader role. I wish I could sound that confident when bossing people around. But the strangest thing is, no one questions him, it's like his word is the law or something.
Killik decides to chime in. "Okay so if we're splitting up who wants to go where? I'll take Fire and Thunder. We can go check out the classrooms."
Liz speaks up, "Alright I guess I'll take Patty. We'll go check out the kitchen area for you guys."
"Soul and I will check out our dorm rooms." I told Kid, beginning to feel more confident. By this time other students had joined in the conversation.
"Jackie and I will check out the bathrooms and the laundry room," Kim declared.
"Tsubaki and I will head upstairs and explore. Something only a star like me can do! Ahahah!" Black Star laughed and raced off. Tsubaki sighed and shook her head, following him out the door.
"Alright," Kid said. "That means Ox, Harvar, Crona and I will investigate whatever's left. When you're done, let's meet back in the kitchen, they probably have some tables there, where we can sit. Let's go!"
Kid strode out the door and we followed him, branching out in our respective directions to investigate as we finally began to accept that we would be stuck this twisted prison for the rest of our lives.
