What is it? An update? WoW! Never saw this coming. Actually I am a lazy person who works 5 hours a day, 5 days a week beside studying Economics in the most crazy-fuck tough university of our country. So I barely get time to do extracurricular. Plus, I follow 23 TVshows and all. You can understand how hard it is for me to get time. But I promise not to abandon this story until the very end as long as you want.
By the way, Happy Originals Tuesday. So, do you like The Originals? I never thought I'd be loving it the way it started but I was wrong. It is mind blowing. I still wait for Caroline to come though but I'm happy that she was mentioned there twice in episode 7. I hope we get her in season 2. Plus, Klaus is coming to MF in January, how cool is that? We will again get some Klaroline hopefully.
Rucky: No, there won't be a baby. I can't even fathom why Klaus needed to be a daddy to find his salvation while Caroline is there to redeem him already. NO. Never a baby. Not in my story.
I don't own Caroline or Klaus (more unfortunately) or any other characters of LJ Smith and Julie Plec. I just own my pool of love for Klaroline and the new plot.
Also, I love putting the canon quotes everywhere I can. I love the shows TVD & TO and I love their dialogues. Why shouldn't I put them?
Reminder that I don't betafy my story anymore so there will be plenty of grammatical mistakes of which I take soul responsibility. But I hope you can overlook as English is not my first language.
I'm Glad You Came
Klaus stroked her cheek, looking at her like she was a miracle. Caroline sighed heavily at his touch and leaned her head sideways in his palm. She closed her eyes again and relaxed. Finally, finally she got out her feelings in words that was building up in her chest for months. Finally she got herself ready to explore what she could have with Klaus.
Of course she loved him. She was so much sure about it now than she was before. The amount of time she missed him in his absence in last two months were intolerable. The absence of him was deafening everywhere she went. She couldn't look at her school campus without thinking of their dance at the 20s party or the time when he saved her. She couldn't stay long enough in the Mystic Grill before she started to think of the times they chatted, flirted with each other and drank. Even the Lockwood mansion gave her goosebumps because they spent an absolute perfect day there with each other at Miss Mystic Pageant. His abandoned house haunted her the most than anybody else. Their first dance, there immeasurable amount of banters and hanging out in that place brought this urgency to look for him out immediately.
She had experienced distances in relationships before. Her father stayed away from her since her childhood, Tyler and she were apart from each other more than they were together. She should've known about the 'missing someone' term well enough. Then what was that she felt when he was away? It was like her heart pierced with each moment. She felt like her dormant 'woman' side that only raised after Klaus' provocation hadn't been latent again, this time it was gone. It was cut off and she was again that 'girly little Caroline' to everyone else. Her confidence on herself as an individual had faltered. She did not like that. She knew it was him who made her complete, who made her feel woman-ish, not a teenager. That moment the longing of him that she denied all the while he tried to woo her was collapsing against the wall of her determination, breaking that.
It was then she realized that it was more than some infatuation. It was fatal. It was irrevocable. She was not only charmed by him, she was in love. The unconditional love that, despite all his horrible acts and indiscretions, wanted to shower over him, draping him from all the hates and accusation of the world.
He was silent completely after her confession, contemplating something. He tried to search something in her eyes. But not a word came from his mouth after her confession, seemed like he was lost in deep thought. She didn't mind though. She already knew how he felt. He didn't need to say it back. It was her time now.
"Okay, so what is the catch here?"
Caroline snapped open her eyes. She was confused by his question.
"Umm... what?"
Klaus' hand that was on her face fell down. But his face was still closer to hers and he was breathing on her. "I'm asking, what big agenda is there behind this little drama you pulled? What are your friends planning now?"
His eyes were suddenly shooting anger. She could totally see the rage boiling on the surface of his blue-green irises.
"I… I really don't… understand…" she mumbled. What was he thinking? Why was he thinking this way? Weren't they long past that?
"Because I'm sure it's something even bigger than any of previous since they made you come all the way over here and make you do this." Klaus' facial expression became stronger. He took two step backwards from her.
Reflexively Caroline took a step forward to close the distance Klaus just made. Her hands reached to hold his shoulders but he shrugged them off. Caroline got baffled.
"Klaus, you're mistaken. I'm not here for any more games. I truly came for you." She tried to reason with him.
"And I'm supposed to believe that, right?" he laughed like a maniac. "Caroline, this has become really old now. Can't your Scooby doo gang find some new tactics? Even I'm bored now."
"You are being IMPOSSIBLE!" she shouted at him. "I came here to be with you, leaving all my friends and family behind and you're accusing me of lying to you?" she became disgusted with each moment. What is wrong with him? He was perfectly fine moments before and now he was acting like that stupid, alpha-male bastard.
His gaze were penetrating at her. "Accusation, eh? What have you done lately other than distracting me? When was the time you were actually with me out of your own free will? You always acted like, as Damon likes to put it, 'little blonde distraction' was the term right?"
"You are disgusting!" Caroline revolted in exasperation. She stomped her foot on the ground. "You had to destroy everything. This is what you do. You shove away everyone from you because you are an insecure twit. You can't bring yourself to believe that someone can actually care for you. Someone can actually throw away everything else and put you first. You did it to your siblings, to the people who actually thought of you as a friend and you are doing it with me now. Your apprehensive behavior is the thing that kept you lonely all these time. Be this way, Klaus, and you're never gonna have anyone in your life. Enjoy the lifetime solitude."
She walked back a few steps and turned to leave. Klaus stood there still, not saying anything.
Caroline started walking out of the Mikaelson premises. She reached the boundary gate and then turned to look at him for the last time. Verifying that he still hadn't moved from the place she left him.
"And for a thousand years old, you know better than any of us what a 'lifetime' means." She whispered before vanishing out, but just loud enough to his hybrid ears.

The party had been over for over two hours. Not that Klaus cared about it anyways but he was irked enough by the buzzing chatters that came to his earshot to want to rip everybody's heads off.
After the exchange between him and Caroline, after she left him stranded in the middle of his yard, he slowly came back to the mansion. The party was still ongoing and he strode over the bar again and snatched away a bottle of Sandy Mac's scotch right in front of Cami's awed look. He didn't bother to say anything to her and climbed up the stairs to their study room. He needed alone time.
He finished the whole bottle in a few minutes and throw if off on the floor with such force. It broke in a hundred pieces near the fireplace. He sunk himself deeply in the leather couch and gritted his teeth with anger that was demanding to release. But he didn't know whom to burst it on.
"Go back to her. Ask her to come back to you. You should make it alright."
Klaus didn't turn. His expression didn't changed but he internally winced. That was what he was thinking to do. But…
Rebekah moved forward in the room and came to the side of his couch. She put one hand on her brother's shoulder and sat on the handle.
"She was right, Nik. What she said in the end was, even though out of rage, but utterly accurate. You were the one being a pain in the behind." She soothed her neurotic brother.
"How am I supposed to believe her? It wasn't the first time she and her friends did it." He complained to her in an emotionally broken voice.
"You do remember that I have a power of identifying if anybody was telling lie, don't you? You think I wouldn't figure it out if she was faking?" Rebekah laughed.
"Even if she wasn't faking it, I don't think she can handle my ways of living. I don't think she will be okay with the choices I make, the acts I do."
"Nik, you roamed around her like a puppy for a solid year, taking every chance to court her in Mystic Falls." Rebekah stood up from the handle and came front of him, slightly annoyance in her tone. "You got in the middle of her relationship with that Lockwood boy to the point that they had to be separated. You've shown your humanity only to her, not even to your siblings. But when she left everything for you, came to you, you questioned her honesty?"
He said nothing. He just kept looking down.
Rebekah sat down in front of his knees and put her hands to his notorious brother's cheek. "Has thousand years taught you nothing, brother? Not everybody plot against you all the time. Love is not a weakness, Nik. It is in fact, one's strength. It's okay to care. It's okay to want something. That's all Caroline was trying to do, all I've ever wanted for you. All we've ever wanted."
Klaus sniffed under his sister's comforting. He stared up at her and kept looking. His eyes were apologizing silently for all the unforgivable things he did to her.

When Caroline got in the only motel available in this quarter, the one on the top of the bar Rousseau, she realized that she left her travel bag at the Mikaelson's. She got even more furious at herself. She should have never come here. She should have never declared her feelings to that jerk.
How could she think that the evil alpha will stop thinking with his foot and listen to his heart? Caroline thought he really had a heart beating somewhere in his stone cold chest but now she was not so sure. She was not sure that all the times they spent together was real or her wild imagination. Because the Klaus she just met was not the one who told her that he would wait for a thousand years.
Caroline waited at the reception of the motel to check in for the night. The owner of the motel, Thierry, showed her the way of a single room after she paid the charges. She thanked him and opened the door.
"Do you want the dinner in the dining place or in the room?" Thierry asked her.
"I'll be having it in the room, please, if you can." Caroline half smiled at him.
"Alright, Mademoiselle. The dinner will be served shortly. I'll bring it in 20 minutes." Thierry informed her and left.
Caroline closed the door and stood there silently for some moment. She sighed heavily and leaned her head on the wooden door, closing her eyes. Waterworks of her eyes started just moments after.
The knock on her door stunned her and her heart accelerated. She wiped her eyes hurriedly and then opened the door.
Thierry brought the dinner in a trolley. That was fast. She looked at the clock on the wall of the motel room. It had been more than 30 minutes since she got in the room. She was crying for half an hour standing in the same place? God!
She thanked Thierry again and dragged the food trolley in the room and to the coffee table. She put the tray on the table and opened the cover. The American Steak looked mouthwatering with mashed potato, pepper rice, veggies and egg. The glass of red wine also looked very delicious.
But Caroline lost her appetite. It had been more than an hour and a half since she left Klaus and she was still not over with the confrontation. She left Mystic Falls thinking of being with him forever but she never thought that the outcome would be this. That she would have to return back in the margin of a day.
Caroline left the coffee table with the magazine that she found on the chair and set off to bed. She kicked off her boots and took off her jacket, throwing it on the chair. She got in the bed in the white shirt she was wearing underneath, putting the white blanket over her legs. She started reading the magazine half lying, only concentrating so much on what she was reading. Her mind was still wandering on her previous events of the day.
She jumped to reality with a start when her phone set off ringing. She thought for a moment. Who could've called her now?
She took out her phone from her jeans pocket and looked at the caller id. Yes, just the person she needed to talk to. She received the call before it went to voice mail.
"Bonnie!" she sighed in relief.
"Care, where are you? I got back in the town few hours ago and everybody is here except you." Bonnie exclaimed.
"Oh Bonnie! I missed you so much." Caroline cried out.
"Caroline, what happened? You sound really disturbed. Where are you?" Bonnie's protectiveness switch immediately got activated at her friend's sobs.
"I'm in New Orleans. I left everything for him, Bonnie. Just to be with him. And he is saying that I am lying. He thinks that I am playing some game with him. He said I am pulling a stunt against his demise." The sobs were getting hysteric as Caroline explained everything that happened after Klaus left Mystic Falls promising her to wait for her forever to today's argument they had.
Bonnie calmly listened to everything. When Caroline finished she still didn't say anything.
"I know. The blame is on me. I shouldn't have taken such a big decision. I mean, regardless of whatever I feel for him, he is not a person anybody can be with. He doesn't trust his own shadow. How stupid I am so think that I can live with him forever?" Caroline kept rambling.
"Care, did you try to put yourself in his shoes for once? Did you stop for a second to think why he accused you about your intentions? Bonnie asked her evenly.
"What do you mean?" Caroline didn't understand.
"What did you do all along for him to believe that you want to be with him forever? Did you ever return the interest he showed on you? No. You were always spiteful with him. He knew that you liked him but he didn't know how deep it was. He didn't know that it would take only two months of absence for you to realize how much he means to you. A person like him will obviously think of the worst possible way to interpret the situation. It is Klaus we are talking about, after all."
"But…" Caroline started but didn't know what to say.
"But what, Caroline? Tell me what he said was wrong? All the times you spent happily with each other, were there ever a moment when you weren't distracting him from other things that we were trying to pull against him? I know both of you were yourselves emotionally whenever you were together spending times but can you deny that the real motive behind that wasn't something else?"
"I've been watching Klaus for last two months, Caroline. I've seen him being invincible with the immunity spell, I've seen him fighting off Silas. I can say after Stefan, I'm the one outside his family who saw Klaus' day to day life. He is lethal, Caroline. He is a psycho-maniac. He doesn't care about anybody. He has severe trust issues. He instantly jumps into assumptions before verifying everything. But you know, he still behaved with me. He took care of me even though he knows how much I hate him and how much he hates me. He made sure I got back home safely. He didn't need to do that. His work was already done. Then why did he do that?"
Caroline could only ask "Why?"
"Because of you, silly. Because I was your friend. Because there is only one person he never wants to let down. That is you. I still don't get that why in the world he thinks that way for you but I get this much that it is true as daylight. He truly loves you." Bonnie revealed something that Caroline already knew but didn't believe now.
But then her memory took her to a not so distant past.
I've done more than enough. I've shown kindness, forgiveness, pity… because of you, Caroline. It was all for you.
"What do you suggest me to do now, Bon?"
"Give him time, Care. That arrogant prick will surely understand his mistake by morning. If he doesn't, then go to him again, try to explain everything you feel for him and why you do. If he still doesn't understand, then probably you weren't meant for each other like you think."
"I don't understand how you can be so positive about myself and Klaus. After everything he did to you and our friends…" Caroline trailed off.
Bonnie picked up her line. "After everything he did, you managed to fall in love with him, Caroline. I will never understand that but that doesn't mean I can't respect your feelings. I do and I will always stand by you and Elena. If Elena wants to be with Damon and you want to be with Klaus, I will always value your decisions, it doesn't matter what I personally feel for them."
"Okay, enough of my tragic love life. Now tell me how you are. How is Elena and everybody else?" Caroline tried to distract her with other worries.
"Everybody is fine. You were here even yesterday. You very much know there is nothing to be concerned about now here. So you better be concerned about your 'tragic love life' and make sure it doesn't stay tragic. Live a little for yourself, Caroline. It's about time."
"I love you, Bonnie Bennett. Never forget that." Caroline smiled.
"I wouldn't dare. The wrath of Caroline Forbes is not something sane people look for. Now take rest. Bye." Bonnie laughed and disconnected.
Caroline pulled her lips into a big smile and kept the phone on the bedside. She was about to pick up the magazine again but the knock in the door startled her.
Thierry must have come back to take the food trolley back to wash. Caroline shied that the food was still untouched. She got up from the bed and opened the door.
The person who was standing in the hallway, waiting for her, was not the one she expected to see this soon.
Klaus looked at her twining his hands in his back. Guilt was evident in his stare. Bonnie was right. He did came, realizing. It took faster than she thought though. But she's glad that he was here.
Both of them gaped at each other silently. The inaudible conversation between their gazes were more promising than their spoken words. It had always been like this. Their eyes explained their heart more than mere words did.
Klaus was the first one to break this trance. "Caroline, I…"
"I know."
"I misunderstood…"
"I understand." she nodded.
"I shouldn't…" he waved his hands.
"I get it."
"Let me finish." Klaus growled. They stared at each other for another moment. And then they both broke into laughter.
When they both stopped, Caroline said, "I understand your fears, Klaus. But you also have to understand that I'm doing just what you asked me to do. I know my friends have done lots of things and I have done lots of things to you. But I was never faking anything. You knew it before me, didn't you? The moments we had were too precious to be fake. The only thing I was ever faking was not reciprocating what I felt inside. Because everything that were happening around us back then never gave me a chance to tell you how I feel. I wasn't sure about my feelings. But when I was, I didn't wait. I came straight to you. Now it is your turn to accept."
Klaus listened to her without interrupting. Then he took a step forward to her door and Caroline released the door open, "But I will always be like this, Caroline. My fears overpower everything else. I take rash decisions. I promise that I will try not to think with my foot instead of heart but I can't promise that this won't happen again. That I will never be suspicious about anything people around me do. I have been like this for a thousand years, Caroline. It has become my basic trait. Will you be able to live with such a monster?" his voice pierced through her heart.
Caroline kept looking at him while she raised both her hands and intertwined them around the back of his neck, locking him in between.
"We shall never know if we don't try." She whispered at him. Her breath once again washed over his face.
Klaus laughed silently. "So you've felt the attraction that comes when someone who is capable of doing terrible things, for some reason, cares only about you?" He eyed her.
Caroline also laughed along. "No, I didn't feel the attraction. I felt something more powerful, more unalterable. I felt what I couldn't feel for anyone else before."
"And I feel the same, love. But in a quite bigger range than yours," he stepped forward inside her hotel room, making Caroline take two steps back for still locking him with her hands.
"I'm not overly sure that your claim is correct." Caroline made a face.
"Is that an allegation, sweetheart?" he dared her.
"Umm… Probably?" she raised her eyebrows.
"How can I acquit myself?" his dimples revealing his questionable innocence.
Caroline stood on her toes to come to his level, balancing her weight with the hands tangled around his neck. She whispered in his ear, "I can show you a technique or two. Or probably you can teach me better." She said suggestively.
Klaus grinned, "Deal."
As if to seal the deal, she closed the distance between them with her lips crashing on him. This sudden advance took her off balance but Klaus instantly held her on the waist. He embraced her and pulled her off the floor. The kiss was deepened and he shoved his tongue inside her parting lips. He devoured all of his apologies for earlier behavior in this one connection and Caroline took everything. His taste, his saliva, his feelings, everything. They were completely oblivious that the door was opened, or maybe they didn't care.
He released her lips and left open mouthed kisses all over her cheek and then down to her bare neck. She threw her head back in satisfaction and cooed. Klaus grabbed Caroline by her ass and lifted her a little more so that he could have better access to her neck.
"Klaus… I love you." The conviction was covered with lust and Klaus' erection twitched in response.
"I've waited for a thousand years for you, love." Klaus told her between the kisses. "You are the only one that matters to me."
It was a simple moment of truth for him but it gave her goosebumps and she felt the dampness of her panties. "That's all matter to me as well." She specified.
Klaus walked a few more steps inside and then shut the door with the back of his left foot, no time to release Caroline.
Yep, yep. They are finally doing it. *drumrolls*
I will not cut the smuts. Expect their activities behind the closed door broadly explained in the next chapter. But in the meantime, I hope you will review me, critically and supportingly, both. Because the only thing I probably love more than Klauseph (Klaus & Joseph) is your thoughts about my story in the review section.
There's a trailer of this fic in youtube. You can find it in my channel WazihaNSonchita. This is the link watch?v=gxJbGDjU3zI
I have written a fluffy oneshot Klaroline a while back. I hope you check it out. It's name is 'Irrevocable' and the link is s/9521685
What you think about this chapter? Should I continue? Please let me know on the review section guys. I so much love you for that. Next chapter will come only as your wish. This is all about Klaroline and will always be. ;)
