"Aahhh! Let me go, you creep!"

The witch's apprentice, Irene, floated helplessly in the air, struggling hopelessly against her invisible bonds. Her broom—her only way of escaping her dire situation—laid uselessly on the ground a few feet from her.

Her captor, Yuga, giggled with glee. "Do not fret, dear, for I will transform you into something utterly breath-taking. Even if your wardrobe is rather dreadful..."

Angry, the young witch struggled harder. "Why you...! Just what do you mean you're going to 'transform' me anyways? What are you going to turn me into?!"

The artistic sorcerer's grin widened as he answered, "Oh, nothing...just...PERFECTION!"

Irene screamed as the man waved his staff and summoned a picture frame, then forced her body into it. Within seconds, the girl was transformed into a drawing.

Yuga reached out and grabbed the painting while letting out a joyous laugh. "Oh, how wonderful! My talent is truly superb! Why, I could stare at it all day..."

"So this is your and the princess' idea of saving Lorule, huh?"

The sorcerer stopped his admiration and turned around. Whom he saw made him furious.

"YOU?! What are you doing here?! HOW are you here?!" he demanded at the bunny hood-wearing merchant.

The boy merely lowered his head and said, "I knew you weren't up to anything good. But this? Kidnapping sages? I should have done something sooner..."

The artist continued to scowl at him. "Hmph! Fine then, don't answer my question. It hardly matters anyway. There's nothing you can do, nor could have done. I know you, boy. You're too much of a coward to do anything."

"I know... But," Ravio raised his head, confidently saying, "I have found someone who can, and will."

To the merchant's surprise, the crazed artist laughed. "Let me guess, it's that worm whose face you share, isn't it? Such a poor choice...for he's nothing but a scribble on some wall far from civilization. That runt was almost as pathetic as you are!"

"..."

"Ah, but enough of this chatter. I must be off, for I have more perfection to find in this world. I suggest you stay out of our affairs, unless you want to end up like the worm." With his warning said, Yuga raised his staff and disappeared along with the imprisoned sage.

Ravio lingered, staring at the spot where the mad man left. He then smirked.

"Boy, are you in for a surprise..."
