~Hinata~

I wish Naruto-kun was here...

Hinata looked around nervously, hoping the person with the straw matching hers would be someone kind. Yusuke kinda reminded her of Kiba, but she didn't know him like she did Kiba. His personality would undoubtedly overwhelm her. Train also reminded her of one of her teammates, Shino. They were both quiet, maybe even cold. They probably wouldn't get anywhere in training together, and there would likely just be many awkward silences. Edward seemed like he'd be the most uncomfortable one to be partnered with. He was extremely forward, and in a way reminded her of Naruto, but he wasn't the underdog that Naruto had started off as. Allen wouldn't be terrible, but definitely not preferable. Ranma was being counted as one of the men, regardless of the fact she was clearly a woman. Hinata hoped to be partnered with her, they had sparred and talked more, making her feel far more easy around her. Due to this, Ranma would be her top choice.

She was thinking of approaching her to check straws, but she was having a hard time mustering her courage. Just when she had decided she would just wait for others to ask her when Ranma came bounding by. Hinata instinctively reached out and gently tugged her shirt.

"Oh, um...excuse me..." She hadn't meant to be so forward, and quickly released Ranma's shirt.

Ranma slowly turned. "Heya. Want to check straws? I've already asked two girls. Didn't match. Let's check!" Without waiting for her to agree, Ranma lifted Hinata's hand that held her straw and placed it against her own. "Woohoo, looks like we are a pair."

She's so forward...

Hinata felt lucky that Ranma was a girl, otherwise such actions would produce much more than the slight blush radiating from her cheeks now.

"Well, um, do we train now?" Hinata couldn't help but look down at her feet as she spoke. Even though she was pretty comfortable around Ranma now, she was still a shy person after all.

"Yeah, sounds like a plan. C'mon." Ranma grabbed her hand and led her into one of the training rooms. It had a number of dummies and a few weapons. There were some control panels that looked like they might allow the dummies to have some kind of alterations. "Why don't we talk a little more about our talents and then we can help teach each other practice?"

Hinata glanced around nervously. "Um...um...okay..." She was having a hard time concentrating. She was worried Ranma would want to learn how to use the Byakugan, and would be upset when she found out she could not.

"I use a variety of martial arts; you can definitely learn all of them, but some will be easier, and some will be harder." Ranma looked at her inquisitively. "By the way, is there a chance I can learn how to use your eye-thingy?"

Hinata was already unhappy about his upcoming disappointment. "N-no...it's genetic..." She looked at him nervously. "I'm sorry..."

Ranma didn't seem bothered at all. "No problem. Can you explain how your fighting styles work then? Afterwards I'll explain what martial arts I use and what they focus on. Then we can practice and I'll teach you some stuff, 'kay?"

Hinata looked at Ranma hopefully. "Y-yes!"
