My Little Pony FanFic Chapter 3

Chief Berry quickly summed up the crime. Essentially Dazzleglow was discovered by Caramel after 3:00am. Chief Berry along with the Royal Medical Examinar's Office arrived on the scene and Chief Berry took statement from Caramel about how he found Dazzleglow after coming home from his late shift at work. Saw that she was winged unicorn and immediately recognized that she was possibly from the Royal Family but couldn't identify her. He immediately alerted authorities and had been placed on administrative leave until cleared.

Next Princess Celestia turned it over to the green pony with the cutie mark of a hoofprint inside a magnifying glass. "Now the chief royal medical examiner Scope will give her report."

Scope sighed and stood up. She flicked her mane back quite dramatically and looked around at the ponies with barely concealed disdain.

"Essentially the deceased died of blunt force trauma to her skull. She was murdered somewhere else and her body was dumped in the alley where it was discovered – "

"Now hang on just minute. How do you know that?" Asked Applejack. The interruption seemed to both surprise and amuse Scope. But before she could respond Twilight Sparkle chimed in:

"Applejack, the medical examiners look for bloodspatter patterns at the scene of the crime, not to mention other types of evidence that will indicate the time of death etc. Or so I've read anyway."

Scope narrowed her eyes at Twilight. Paused for a moment and then smirked. "Actually our first clue was that she was bone dry when she was discovered. You see it had been raining very heavily during the night and only let up around 2:30 am. But yes, we did explore blood splatter patterns at the scene, of course there wasn't any. No to mention that the position she was in when she died was not the position she would have died in."

"Well what position was she in?" Asked Applejack.

"Well, she was discovered lying on her side. However, if she had been struck from behind, especially with the blow it would have taken to kill her, she would have fallen face forward." Scope answered.

"Anything else?" Princess Celestia asked.

"Yes. Before she died she had been drugged with –"

"Oh my! She was on drugs?" Asked Pinkie Pie in a sudden outburst. The whole room seemed to silently groan.

"No Sugar Cube, she means that Dazzleglow was given something to make her disoriented, or sleepy or something." Explained Applejack.

"Oh my goodness!" Said Fluttershy who was trembling. Rareity patted her on the back.

"In this case," Continued Scope, "she was given Ketamine. A powerful tranquilizer. And… she was expecting a foal. I estimate she was approximately three to four months along. It would have been a colt."

"Simply awful!" Cried Rareity.

Princess Cadence broke out into sobs. Princess Celestia seemed to be shaken by the news as well as she let out a gasp which was drowned out by Rainbow Dash.

"ARGH! We are going to find who did this and we are going to get vengeance for this!" Yelled Rainbow Dash.

"Revenge is not what we need." Said Princess Celestia calmly. "We need to find who did this…this…this dreadful thing and bring them to justice so that we can ensure the safety of everyone involved."

Princess Cadence ran from the room in uncontrollable sobs. "Cadence!" Yelled Shining Armor charging after her.

"Very well. Scope if you could please take Twilight Sparkle and her friends to the lab to go over all of your evidence in more detail so that they can ask you any questions. We will meet again in three days to discuss your progress. Chief Berry, if you'd escort Luna and Myself , I would appreciate it." Said Princess Celestia.

With that they left.

"Shall we?" Asked Scope, looking at Applejack.

"Yes we shall." Said Twilight Sparkle quite forcefully.

"Well what are we waiting for? Lead on!" Said Rainbow Dash impatiently.
