It was dark. Very dark. "Hello?"
I saw nothing but darkness. Everywhere I walked, it was pitch black. On my left, right, other left, other right. Nothing.
"What is this place?" I asked myself.
I kept walking. There wasn't anything. I wonder why it's so dark. Am I inside Mt. Coronet?
"Pearl!"
A voice! Finally, I was getting impatient. I ran in the direction of the voice. It sounded a lot like… "Dia!"
"Pearl!"
"Pearl!"
"Pearl!"
"Pearl!"
"Pearl!"
The more I ran, the closer Dia's voice seemed to get. Though it was still dark, I ran with all my might, and before I knew it, there was a light. I stopped.
"Huh?"
It looked like a big screen. There were multiple things on the screen that it was hard to make out what the meaning of it was.
"Pearl!" I heard again.
"Dia?"
I looked closely at the screen. On it were a bunch of pictures of me and Dia's Manzi.
"What the—!?"
The pictures began to shift. Once they were done moving around, there was a big picture of Dia's face. I didn't know the reason behind this, so I continued to stare at it in awe.
"What is this supposed to mean?"
"Pearl?"
I turned around to see Dia, in his whole self. Seeing him didn't make it better, not that I want glad to see him, but because of the background. His was bright and you could see the sky, trees, and everything. Mine was still nothing but darkness.
"Dia, I don't get it," I confessed.
"Get what Pearl?"
"Can't you see it?"
He gave me a even more confused look. "See what?"
"Can't you see—"
"Dia!"
The sound of the voice came from neither of us, but form a girl. It was Missy.
"Missy?"
She walked towards Dia and grabbed him from the arm. This act surprised us both. I could still see Dia looking at me, as if he was asking me what should he do.
"Pearl?" He asked me.
I turned my head.
"Pearl?" He asked again.
"Dia, let's go," I heard Missy tell him again.
"Pearl?"
I got irritated. I turned my head back. "Just go! Why the heck are you asking me about it!? I don't care what you do! Just go already!"
Once I realized what I had said, I turned back. The silence made me feel awful, but when I turned, they weren't there anymore.
"Dia?"
"Dia?"
"Dia!"
No matter how much I called out, there was no answer.
Everything I saw was pitch black, just like the start. I sat down and took a good look at the darkness that surrounded me.
This—This is getting weird. I don't get it. I don't get any of it.
The more I looked the more fear that entered my brain. How come Dia's gone? What about our Manzi? What's going to happen to our friendship?
"Dia."
"Dia."
I heard a knock on the door. A loud knock. "Pearl! What's going on?"
My dad, being slightly careless, broke the door.
"Huh?"
"I heard you talking in your sleep. Where you having a nightmare or something?"
"What!? Why the heck would I!?" I told him angrily.
"You were talking in your dream. Did something happen between you and Diamond?" He asked me.
"Don't you have to go to the Battle Tower now?"
