Finally! After a long wait, I finally have this chapter done! Before we begin I have some things to say: first, I'm taking down the poll I have on my profile because it's not very popular; second, I edited some stuff on the previous chapters. There small changes but they still affect the story a bit. I also rewrote the 58/59 and 1/362 chapters from my one-shot collection, so check them out. Ok, now let's begin!
The First Mission. Paddy's Close Encounter of the Serpent Kind
Downtown Cleveland
Chaos was taking place in Cleveland one sunny day. A huge robot shaped like a brain was stopping down the streets at high speeds, the pilot intend on escaping something or somebody. "You'll never catch me you rambunctious brats!" A deep, maniac male voice sounded from the robot's cockpit, taunting the four seven-year-olds that struggled to keep up. Those kids were none others than Rachel McKenzie, Bartie Stork, Fanny Fulbright and Patton Drilovsky aka Numbuhs 362, 35, 86 and 60 of the Kids Next Door. The four friends had successfully graduated from Artic Training and placed of Sector W, located in West Virginia.
Earlier today, Numbuh 274 had given them their first mission, to capture a villain known as Brain Control. Brain Control was a former brain specialist called Brian Controller who decided to turn to evil after being expelled from his work after doing mind control experiments on children. Changing his name to Brain Control, he went around using strange technology to mind control kids into doing what adults said.
Anyway, Sector W had attempted to apprehend him in his lair, but Brain Control escaped in his Brainbot, stopping on the operatives S.C.A.M.P.E.R. in the process. Now vehicle-less, Sector W foot-chased after the bad guy and had managed to keep up pretty well but the effort was taking its toll.
"Crud!" panted Rachel as the Brainbot was leaving the kids behind. "It's too fast! There's no way we could catch up!"
"If we could just make that thing trip, we might have the advantage." Bartie said as he ran next to Rachel, also panting.
Rachel though about Bartie's suggestion and as she did she noticed two telephone poles on each side of the road ahead. 'That's it!' she beamed as she got an idea. "86! 60! Fly ahead and bring him down!" 362 ordered the ones behind her.
"Yes ma'am!" They saluted as they clicked their heels together, activating their rocket boots. They shot into the air and speed forward, passing Brain Control without him noticing. Fanny and Patton each landed besides a pole, as the Brainbot approached rapidly.
Patton quickly took a rope out of the backpack he was wearing and tossed one end to Fanny's side, the girl tying it to her pole as Patton did the same. They finished just in the nick of time as one second later, the Brainbot arrived. The brain-shaped robot's legs tripped on the rope, tumbled over and-
CRASH!
-crashed on the ground. The Brainbot lay on its side, smoking slightly as Sector W slowly approached with their weapons raised.
"Alright Brain Control, give up!" Rachel ordered with her S.C.A.M.P.P. pointed at the cockpit. "We have you surrounded so come out with your hands in the air!"
There was silence then the cockpit opened and a man wearing a lab coat stepped out. He had grayish hair and psychotic look on his face. Brain Control stared at the kids with his crazy-looking eyes and cackled insanely, "Foolish, brats! Do you really think that I, Brain Control, will give so easily? Well, I won't so why don't you be good children and play with someone your age?"
He took out a remote from one of his pockets and pressed the button on the center. A hatch on the side of the Brainbot opened and various small shadows jumped out of it. The figures landed in front of Sector W and the operatives gasped when they realized that they were boys and girls of about their age. Each kid wore a strange helmet with tubes on it and blank looks on their faces.
"Children, teach these brats a lesson!" Brain Control ordered.
"Yes, master." The controlled kids said in monotone voices and charged at Sector W.
"Kids Next Door, battle stations!" Yelled Rachel and the four kids jumped into battle.
Two controlled boys charged at Rachel and tried to punch her but the blond dodged their blows. She delivered a series of punches and kicks at them but the brain-washed kids didn't appear to notice. One of the boys grabbed Rachel's arms and held them behind as the other one prepared to deliver a kick at the blond girl's face. Just before the boy's foot made contact, Rachel struggled free and ducked, causing the boy to kick his fellow mind-controlled on the face. The boy felt backwards and hit his head on the pavement hard, the impact cracking the helmet. The helmet crackled and sparked as the cracks got bigger and bigger, the boy twitching and yelping in pain while Rachel and the other boy stared at him in shock. Then, with a final electric crack, the helmet crumpled into tiny pieces and the boy feel unconscious.
Rachel and the brain-washed kid stared the unconscious one then at each other then back at the kid. Then the entranced child charged to deliver a punch but Rachel sidestepped, causing the kid to crash headfirst into a wall. His helmet also sparked and disintegrated, also leaving him out cold.
Bartie and Patton were both facing a hypnotized girl each. The boys backed away into each other as the two girls charged from either side. Patton and Bartie ducked and the girls crashed into each other, both their helmets vaporizing as the boys high-fived.
Three kids surrounded Fanny as the lass looked back fiercely. They attempted to beat her up but the redhead block each of their punches and kicks while delivering some of her own. Then she did a swipe kick and knocked all the children of their feet. Like the others, their helmets sparked a frizzled before turning into dust.
"Grrr! You kids think you are so though? Well, try beat up this!" said Brain Control as he send a wave of hypnotized kids toward them. Sector W gave fierce looks and charged to fight back. Working together, the four friends kicked and punched at the controlled ones until each and every one of the helmets was destroyed and the children were on the ground.
Once all the controlled children were knocked out, the four kids turned toward Brain Control and pointed their weapons at him. "Give it up, adult!" ordered Rachel. "We beat up your slaves and we will beat you too!"
"Fools! You can't beat me! I have many more obedient children in my Brainbot!" he was about to press the remote's button again.
"Oh no ye don't!" Fanny jumped at him and kicked the remote out of his hand and into Bartie's.
"Hey give that back!"
The blond boy gave a smirk and raised his hand in the air, bringing them down to smash the remote smashed into a bumillion bits.
"NOOOOOOO-" Control's scream was silenced by Patton bashing his head with a sewer lid.
"Looney," was all he said as he dropped the lid.
"Good work guys," praised Rachel as she Bartie and Fanny walked over to the crazy villain. "Numbuh 35, call Moonbase and tell them to send someone to come and pick up Brain Control." Bartie saluted and hurried over to do his work.
Patton was about to walk away when he noticed some papers sticking out of the mind controlling bad guy's lab coat. "Huh?" he picked them up and examined them, realizing they were blueprints. "Boyfriend Helmet? Now what kind of crazy, possessive girlfriend would use that?"
Later at Moonbase…
"Well done, Sector W!" praised Numbuh 100 to the four seven-year-olds that stood before him. After Prison Transport had come down to take Brain Control to the Artic Prison and another ship had come to take the formerly controlled kids home, the pilots had offered to take Sector W up to the Moonbase. The team had gladly accepted since their S.C.A.M.P.E.R. was now a piece of junk. "You did pretty great in your first big mission."
"Oh, it was nothing, sir." Said Rachel proudly while Fanny and the boys also looked proud. "We held on pretty well though our S.C.A.M.P.E.R. wasn't so lucky."
"Well, I'll ask the technologic officers to rebuild it. Anyway, again good work on capturing Brain Control." The Supreme Leader sat down on his chair and picked up a stack of papers. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a ton of paper work to sign so, you're dismissed."
Sector W saluted and exited the Supreme Leader's office to the corridor. "Hey, you guys wanna grab some lunch at the cafeteria?" asked Rachel. "I think we earned it."
The other three agreed and the group entered the cafeteria where many operatives sat eating and/or chatting. They got into line to pick their food and once they had it, Sector W sat on one of the tables to enjoy their lunch. They were soon joined by Numbuhs 1 through 5 (aka Nigel, Hoagie, Kuki, Wally and Abby, respectively), the new members of Sector V, and Fanny M. Freyre, Numbuh Two Twenty-Seven of Sector PR.
"So, how're things going in Sector V, Nigel?" Rachel asked the bald leader while eating a meatball sandwich.
"Great." The bald brit said back, taking a bite out of his own sandwich. "We sure showed that Count Spank-alot guy a lesson."
"Yeah, we sure did! But we owe it to Numbuh 1." Added in Hoagie." After all, if it wasn't for his leadership we would have gotten a sucker spank from the blood-sucker! Ha! Ha! Ha!" The chubby boy fell down from his seat in laughter at his lame joke.
The other kids instead groaned as they didn't find anything funny about it. "Geez, I don't see why he thinks his jokes are funny." Stated Numbuh 227 while munching on her grilled cheese sandwich. "They won't even make a hyena laugh."
Abby Lincoln shaked her head. "Numbuh 5 doesn't know either but what she does know is that she'll smack Numbuh 2 on the head with her hat if he keeps up with them!" she said the last part out loud hoping that Hoagie will get the hint.
Hoagie got it and he stopped laughing, sitting back at the table though he still had a grin on his pudgy face. "Hehe. Ok, I'm done now. But seriously Numbuh 1, you have to be the best leader Sector V has ever had! No offence Abby," He added quickly. "You were a great leader too."
Wally nodded. "Yeah, you did lead the team pretty well specially after that cruddy sister of yours betrayed us-OW!" Yelped the Aussie 'cause he received a hat-smack from the African-American girl. "Wot was that for?" he glared while rubbing his head.
Abby glared back, placing her hat back on her head. "That's for saying stuff about Numbuh 5's sis. Abby knows that Cree's a traitor but that doesn't means he likes people talking bad about her." Numbuh 11, Cree Lincoln, had betrayed KND and, after having escaped decommissioning, joined the Teen Ninjas. All the organization was shocked that such an outstanding operative and Sector Leader like Numbuh 11 had passed to the other side just like that. It was especially hard on Abby since Cree was her older sister and from her Numbuh 5 had learned all the moves she knew.
Wally still glared at Abby and looked like he wanted to say something but he decided against it and just turned away with an annoyed expression.
"So, anyone saw the new Yipper episode last night?" asked Bartie, deciding to change the theme.
Hoagie's face beamed. "Like yeah! It was so awesome! The good guys really kicked the bad guys' butts! First they were all "zooooommm!" then "vrooooom!" and the villains were all "I want my mommy!" he said, making a bunch of sound effects while waving his arms around and almost knocking over Numbuh 86's soda.
"Hey, watch it fly boy!" snapped the Irish in annoyance. "If ye spill me drink, I'll make you pay and Eye don't mean with money!"
"Hehe, sorry." Hoagie said sheepishly.
"Frankly I don't know what's so great about Yipper. To me is just a stoopid show based on a stoopid card game that stoopid boys play."
"Hey! Yipper is not "stoopid"!" said Patton, rising from his chair. "It's a very complex game that requires great strategic knowledge to play it!"
"Yeah, Numbuh 86. Yipper is very fun!" joined in Kuki. "Not as fun as Rainbow Monkeys but it's still fun to play."
"They're right you know." The group on the table turned and saw the Decommissioning Troop Numbuh 59, Doug Murphy, standing behind them. "You need great effort to understand the difficulty of the game."
The Fulbright girl rolled her eyes. "That's what my brothers say. Paddy and Shawnie like to play that game so much that they even play it until late. The only reason they went to bed early last night was that today Paddy 's class has a fieldtrip."
"Really?" asked Doug with curiosity. "They have a fieldtrip today?"
Rachel nodded. "Yeah, they are going to a recently opened zoo that's also an animal conservation center in Delaware. According to my brother, various kindergarten classes from many states are making fieldtrips to that place."
"Well, your brother is right. My little sister's class is also going there." He informed, sitting down next to Fanny M. Freyre. "He, the teachers must think it's a very animal-tastic place if they are making field trips there. Hehehe!"
"Geez, leave the lame jokes to Hoagie!" said Kuki.
"Hey!"
Delaware's Newly Opened Zoo & Animal Conservation Center
A bus with the words "Cleveland School Transport" drove through the gat entrance of the Delaware Animal Conservation Center as the many 4-year-olds looked out either excited or bored. One of the excited kids was a familiar blond girl in pigtails who was barely able to sit still as the bus slowed down to park next to other school transports. "I can't believe we are here!" Sonya Cahill squealed turning to Lee Johnson seated next to her. "Just imagine, in just a few minutes we'll see all the animals! Eeekkk!" She giddily jumped up and down on her seat.
"Wow, calm down Sonya!" said Adam Jefferson, who was seated right behind them with Tommy Gilligan, his wheelchair folded beneath the seat. "We haven't even gotten off the bus yet and you're almost jumping out of your skin."
"Yeah, I don't see why you are so excited about." stated an annoyed Harvey McKenzie, sitting on the opposite row with Paddy. "It's just a bunch of dumb animals."
"Now, now Harvey." scolded Shannon Johnson, Lee's mom and also the teacher. "These animals we are about to see are very special. They are rare and endangered species that may become extinct if we don't protect them."
"That's why we are here in this center, to learn more about them." Said a woman with blond hair in braids, green eyes and wearing a pink dress." She was Sonja Cahill, Sonya's mom and a chaperone on the fieldtrip.
"Hmmp, whatever." Harvey mumbled as he crossing his arms, the boy seating back on the seat.
The bus finished parking and the children were allowed to descend. Harvey, Paddy, Sonya, Lee, Tommy & the other kids got into a line, following Mrs. Johnson while Mrs. Cahill helped Adam onto his wheelchair and through the bus' back door which had a ramp set on it. As Paddy got off, he felt a movement in his pocket and noticed the tiny nose of his pet hamster Houdini poking out. "Careful Dini," whispered Paddy so the others couldn't hear him. "We don't want the teachers or anyone else to know you are here." The hamster nodded in understanding, snuggling again into his master's pocket.
The group gathered near a wooden statue of various animals like wolves, birds and bears as more kids came out of the other buses. While watching them get off, Paddy noticed that among a group descending a bus labeled "Quahog School Transport", was a girl with very light brown hair in pigtails that was completely dressed in green. She was wearing a light green shirt, a darker green skirt over shorts that matched her shirt, shoes that matched her skirt, her pigtails being held by green bands and bright green glasses over her green eyes that were a shade darker than Paddy's.
Paddy couldn't help but stare at her, entranced by the girl's beauty. His heartbeat quickened faster and faster until he point where he though it will burst out of his chest. Paddy's friends noticed that entranced expression on the Irish's face and wondered what he was looking at. Adam then followed his gaze to the girl in green and a smirk formed in his face. "Hey guys, I think Paddy might have a crush." The others realized what he meant and snickered.
That comment was enough to snap Paddy put of his trance. "I do not!" he glared at his friends, a blush forming on his face. They only laughted more, finding his denial hilarious. Umberstove to them, the girl turned her head toward them, watching with curiosity.
"Seriously guys, I don't have a crush on anybody!" Paddy was getting more annoyed by the second, his face almost as red as his hair.
"Haha! Cupid sure hit his target with him!" Joked Tommy, tears in his eyes.
"Hehe haha! Yeah, look at him! He's so red that you could mistake him for a tomato!" Harvey said trying to keep a straight face.
"Haha, cool! Haha!" Laughted Lee, the short boy wiping a tear from his eye as he flicked his yo-yo.
"Come on guys! This isn't funny!" Paddy was getting more and more exasperated not noticing someone walking up and standing behind him.
Sonya stopped giggling though a grin was still on her face. "Relax Pad, we are just joking. You got to admit that you looked very funny staring at that girl."
"Sonya's right and I don't blame you. That gal is a good looking chick if you ask me." Tommy said, giving a sly look.
"I wasn't looking at her because she looks pretty! I mean, she is pretty but I just think she might be a really nice girl."
"Why thanks!"
"Wah!" Paddy yelped, having been startled by the voice. He turned around and saw the girl right behind him. "Uh, hi!" he waved.
She waved back. "Hi, my name is Jennifer Murphy but everybody calls me Jenny. What your name?"
"Oh, I-I'm Pa-Pad-Pa…" the redhead stammered nervously.
"Paddy Fulbright," said Sonya, helping out. "Hi, I'm Sonya Cahill." said Sonya walking up to Jenny then motioned to the boys. "And these are my friends."
"Tommy Gilligan."
"Lee Johnson."
"I'm Harvey McKenzie and don't touch me!"
"Um, ok." Jenny looked at him oddly.
Adam rolled his eyes. "Harvey is germophobic so don't mind him. I'm Adam Jefferson by the way, nice to meet you Jenny." He offered his hand which Jenny shaked.
"Nice to meet you guys too." The kids where interrupted when Mrs. Johnson, Sonya's Mom, another woman who was Jenny's teacher and a tall man with a jacked that had a logo similar to the wooden statue walked over up to the two classes' attentions. "Ok, children we will have the company of the Quahog kindergarten lead by Miss Tisdale," she motioned to the woman then to the man. "Our guide through the center will be Mr. Desmond Dwrite so please listen to him carefully and follow his instructions."
Mr. Dwrite nodded to Mrs. Johnson and started speaking to the classes. "Good day, children. Welcome to the Delaware Zoo and Animal Conservation Center, recently funded thanks to the public's donations. Now before we start the tour, let me go through the rules. First, stay with the group at all times, we don't want anyone getting lost. Second, don't get too close to the animals' enclosures because we don't want to bother them. A third, if you have any questions just raises your hand. Now if there aren't any questions let us begin!" he walked toward one of the paths, the adults and children following.
As they walked, Jenny turned toward Paddy. "Say, your name sounds familiar as does Harvey and Tommy's. You guys don't happen to have any older siblings, do you?"
Paddy had been staring at Jenny again and the question got him back to reality. "What? Oh, yeah! I have an older sister called Fanny, Harvey also has a sister and Tommy got a brother."
"How did you know?" wondered Tommy.
"Oh my brother and cousin told me. Doug recently became a KND operative and cousin Fernie has been one for a few years now. Doug said he trained with some kids called Fanny Fulbright, Rachel McKenzie and Hoagie Gilligan."
"Your brother and cousin are operatives? Cool!" Lee said excitedly.
"Yeah, they are. Frankly I'm surprised that he passed training when back home he can't even stop bullies from giving him a weggie." She recalled.
"Really? Hmmp, some operative he must be." Harvey criticized. "How can he defend kids when he can't even defend himself-Ow!" he glared at the hat wearing boy who had hitted him in the head with his yo-yo. "Don't touch me, Lee!"
"What you was not cool!"
Adam shaked his head at his germophobic buddy. "Like I said before, don't mind Harvey. He's a good fellow once you get to know him."
"Yeah," confirmed Tommy. "Say Jenny, what do your cousin and brother do in the KND? My brother Hoagie is in Sector V which is one of the best Sectors!"
"Well, Fernie works as a pilot and Doug was assigned to the Decommissioning Team with his friend Gwen. They mainly transport captured teens to the Moonbase for decommissioning."
"Your brother is a Decom. Troop?" exclaimed Harvey with distaste. "Ugh, hat has to be the worse job you can get!"
Jenny looked offended. "Hey, for your information, Doug didn't choose that position. That's where the Drill sergeant recommended him to be placed." She walked over to Harvey and the dirty blond boy gulped in fear at her angry expression. "Besides, Doug wouldn't like to decommission anyone especially since Fernie turns thirteen in a few months!"
"Is there a problem kids?" asked Mrs. Cahill, walking over.
Jenny stepped away from Harvey and glared at him. "No, there isn't," she growled making the germophobic boy flinch.
"Well, if you are sure…"
"Don't worry, Mom. We are ok." assured Sonya. Her mother nodded and returned to the other grown ups' sides, leaving the seven kids alone. After her mother left, Sonya and the other boys glared at Harvey. "Geez, Harvey, why do you always have to be the one with the comments?"
Paddy nodded. "Yeah, you don't go around saying those things about other people's siblings." The redhead seemed to be almost as angry as Jenny about Harvey's comments.
"Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend anyone." Apologized Harvey annoyed. "I just don't like decommissioning, that's all."
Jenny sighed. "I forgive you, Harvey. In fact, I understand you. No one wants to lose their memories just like that; I guess that's why Numbuh 11 betrayed them."
The kids decided to forget the theme, especially since the group had stopped walking and Mr. Dwrite directed them to a small deck that overlooked a large fenced area with tall grass and some trees. "This enclosure is the home of our pair of white lions, Sahara and King. Go on, have a look."
The many kids hurried over to the deck and leaned over the wooden posts to gaze at the enclosure. Resting on top of a great rock, white coats gleaming like snow, looking up at the children with regality worthy of rulers, were two magnificent white lions, a male and a female. The male, King, stood up and faced the humans, letting out a roar that shaked them down to the bones.
"Oh, cool!" Lee was in awe, barely able to flick his yo-yo in amazement.
"You can say that again, dude!" agree Paddy, watching the lions next to Jenny.
Out of all the kids, Sonya was the most awed by the white lions. "Oh, they are so cute! They look like they are made out of snow."
"Glad that you like them," smiled Mr. Dwrite, standing behind the children with the two teachers and mother. "King and Sahara arrived from a nature reserve in Africa that's part of a breeding project for white lions." The guide told them and proceeded to explain the differences between them and normal-colored lions and how rare the white lions were. Most of the kids listened with interest mainly Sonya, Jenny and Paddy.
"… and that's the theory on why white lions are like that." Desmond Dwrite concluded his explanation and looked satisficed at the interested faces of the children. "Now, are there any questions?" no one raised their hands. "Ok, then let us continue. We have more things to see." With that said, Dwrite walked on followed by the adult women and the kids, all excited to see what else this place had to offer.
Later
The visit had turned out much better than some would expect. Dwrite had showed them the many animals that the zoo/conservation center housed. They had seen large grizzly bears that stood on their hind legs like humans, noisy macaws of many colors and were even showed a large, red-kneaded tarantula that Jenny was so desperate to stay away from. ("I'm not scared of spiders!" she protested when Tommy asked her about it. "I just don't like them.")
Anyway, the teachers and Mrs. Cahill noticed that the children were enjoying the trip, even Harvey seemed to be having a good time. After a delicious lunch at the zoo's cafeteria, the group was walking to a specific place in the center to see some very special animals before departing back home.
"Now to finish up this exciting visit, we'll see the reptile area, home to a variety on lizards and snakes from around the globe." Said Mr. Dwrite, leading the kids into a small building with a sign that said "Reptile House" perched on top of the entrance.
Inside the reptile house were many glass windows viewing into large habitats were the children could see a variety of cold-blooded lizards and snakes slithering inside. They stopped in front of one of the habitats, which housed a few large snakes that were either coiling around branches or warming up under the habitat's lights. "These are Amazonian Boas, a type of constrictor snake. Constrictor means that they aren't poisonous and instead choke their prey to death by squeezing them with their bodies." The children listened with interest to Dwrite's explanation. "This habitat was made to imitate the Amazonian jungle, so that it felt like home to the boas. Now, any questions?"
Mr. Dwrite smiled Paddy raised his arm. "Aw, yes Paddy, what is your question? Is it about the boa's diet or maybe is about how snakes change skin?"
"Actually, I wanna know where the bathroom is."
"Oh, well the boys' room is down that hallway, second door to the left." He indicated to a corridor near them to where Paddy hurried off to not a second later.
Some minutes after the redhead had left another zoo worker approached them and nervously whispered something to Desmond Dwrite's ear. A worried look came to the guide's face as he turned to the women. "There appears to be a problem.
Boys' Bathroom
A toilet flush was heard from one of the stalls as the door opened and Paddy came out from doing his business. He walked over to the sinks, turning the water on to wash his hands. Turning the water off, Paddy suddenly felt a long, smooth thing slithering by his leg. "Huh?" the boy looked down to the floor.
"!" Paddy's eyes widened at the sight of a small, orange snake coiling its body around his legs.
Back with the others
"There's a lose snake?" asked Sonja Cahill frantically, trying to keep her voice down.
"Shhh, don't say it out loud or else you'll scare the kids." Said Shannon Johnson, trying to calm the mother down.
"Yeah, we must stay calm." Agree Miss Tisdale.
"Right, there's actually no real danger. Corn snakes are small, non-poisonous snakes so we are perfectly safe." Assured Mr. Dwrite. "Besides, what are the odds it's even in this same area?"
"AAAAAHHHHHH!" Startled by the scream, everybody turned their heads to where it came from. The door to the boys' bathroom burst open and Paddy shoot out, a terrified look on his face. "S-snake!" He then began to frantically shake his leg, trying to shake off the orange serpent that was coiled around it like a lose strap.
The other kids stood back in fear as Mr. Dwrite walked over to Paddy and grabbed the snake, uncoiling it from the boy's leg like it was nothing. As soon as the wriggling reptile was secured in the guide's hands, Mrs. Johnson walked over to Paddy to comfort the young child. "It's ok, Paddy. The snake isn't dangerous." The woman said gently.
"Doesn't matter! Just k-keep t-that t-t-thing away from me!" he pointed to the snake, shivering with fear.
"Um, I think it's time that we return to the busses, Shannon." Suggested Sonya's Mom.
Lee's Mom agreed and the two women gathered the children, taking Mr. Dwrite for the tour. The guide nodded and walked off to return the corn snake to the vet's office. Jenny waved goodbye to her new friends, wishing Paddy good luck before joining her own class next to Miss Tisdale. Once all the kids were gathered, the women led them back out to the parking lot where they boarded their busses. The busses drove away from the zoo, back to their own states to return the children home after a long day.
What started off as a great field trip, in which new friendships were made, had ended up in an incident that perhaps affected a young boy for the rest of his life.
Wow, this chapter took me so long to write and it has to be the longest yet. So, I hope my efforts are worth something. Next time, we will reveal something about Numbuh 227 that a certain author already knows. Jenny Murphy belongs to me and any similarities to any characters or OCs is coincidental. Anyway, I'll try to work on the next chapter as fast as I can but I can promise you it will be out soon. So, until next time: Review!
