Unfriendly shadows streak across the floor
Effectively barring an unopened door
The door's handle is stiff and heavy
The room beyond having been long empty
This strange door, shut so tight
Is lost in a never-ending night
It was locked long ago by a special key
One whose existence was known to nobody
Not even the keeper knew—how could he?
That he alone could enter this room and see
What should he find, were he to know?
Secrets, and pains that only grow and grow
Should this closed door ever be unlocked
By the things trapped inside a man would be shocked
For this was not just a normal door or normal lock
And neither was the key a thing to be hid beneath a rock
I'll leave to you what this room and door might be
But remember this: it is inexplicably linked to 221B
