It's Not Gen-Jutsu…But Reality
Chapter 13- The Sannin
Author's Note: I'M BACK! So this will be set in the time in which all the Sanin meet together and Naruto wins the bet of mastering the Rasengan in a week. I kinda skip a lot of the scenes in it but I promise to make it up later =D
"I'm so worried! I can't take not knowing!" I said in frustration as I paced back and forth in Chiya's den.
"The time will come when you will be able to return but for now, you need to finish the plans. You only asked the devil for one chance when you first got here so we need to make it count. Concentrate young one." Chiya said as she sat strong like a statue.
"Yea Kiki. If you really want to get up there faster, we need finish." Calcifer stated.
"-sigh- I know you're right. I'm sure Kakashi will pull through and that Naruto and Jiraiya will be okay but it still just eats me away. I have the medical skill to repair the village so much faster!" I said before stopping and calming down.
"Alright, the deal. Here's what I got." I said as I sat down to tell them my plans.
~Tsunade's POV~
I'm going to kill Kabuto. I will not help in the revival of Orochimaru; not after all that's happened and will happen if he comes back. Kabuto may be able to bring back Tsukiko, Dawn, and Nawaki back…all my loved ones…but I will leave them in the past and take responsibility. The village needs a Hokage. This ends tomorrow.
"Have some more Jiraiya." I said as I poured him the last bit of sake I spiked with a sleeping drug.
In a matter of moments after the meal, I left Jiraiya passed out in the restaurant and made my way to the meeting spot.
~Tsukiko's POV~
"The plan is almost ready but it is a bit flawed. We mustn't discuss it any farther though till later." Chiya commented as she walked into the center of the den to sleep.
"I agree, for now we should rest Tsukiko. Rest your mind a while." Calcifer said before we followed his mother.
I laid my head gently on Calcifer's large neck and cuddled into his warm fur. No matter how hard I tried though, I couldn't let my mind rest of Kakashi. If he isn't cared for, then he may come out with permanent damage…
That's it…if it's only for a few hours then I will risk it.
I quietly and quickly got up and made my way away from the sleeping pack and up to where no one would see me. I looked around and listened to make sure no one was watching or approaching before completing my hand signs.
"Teleport." I whispered and waited till I appeared on the surface once again.
I breathed in the chilled summer night air and observed my surroundings before heading towards the gates. My protective sphere surrounded me and hid all signs of my existence as I climbed the gates and jumped inside the village. The first thing that caught my eye was all the ruined buildings and rubble that still littered the grounds. The moonlight illuminated the dramatic damages well but it looked like the villagers are slowly but surely rebuilding. It was a sad sight to see but I only had so much time before he would know I left.
I jumped carefully and with upmost haste over to where the hospital was and quietly entered. There was a nurse at the front desk but she was soon called away for a few moments so I took the change to go through and see which room Kakashi was put in.
Hatake Kakashi
Age: 26
Condition: Critical
Room #: 332
Doctor's Note: Check on every half an hour for progress. Possible brain damage. In a coma.
Kakashi….it's not looking good for you at all…
I heard the nurse coming back down the hall so I placed the files back where I found them and went to find the stairs.
Each step led me closer to him…let's just hope I'm not too late.
I got to the 3rd floor within short but what felt like the longest time. The halls seemed dimly lit and settled. I saw a doctor checking clip boards in front of the doors of his patient's room before entering. The room I was looking for was due right and should be on the right side of the hall.
"326…328….330…332." I mumbled quietly as I walked with haste to find the room.
Once I saw it, I quietly checked around with wolf site to see if any doctors or nurses were around. I saw a different doctor than before in Kakashi's room so I waited a few moments…it was his half hourly check-up.
The doctor soon wrote some notes down on the clipboard and placed it in the basket next to the door frame in the hallway. He looked back in concern and rubbed the bridge of his nose in what seemed like a bit of frustration.
Not a good sign…
Once the doctor finally moved on, I took the clipboard out and read the doctor's notes.
Time: 11:45 p.m.
Patient Hatake Kakashi is not responding well with treatment. Still in comatose state and still no determination as to if he will awake or not. External injuries have healed well. Only concern is possible brain damage and chakra flow corruption. Time back to check 12:25 a.m.
This is a little worse than I thought…nothing I can't fix though.
With confidence, I put the clipboard back and entered the room. Kakashi was in bed with no mask on….no mask…I couldn't help but smile at the opportunity but I didn't take it. Instead, I did some hand signs and built up a warm golden chakra in my right hand. I sat on the side of the bed and held Kakashi right cheek with my left hand and placed my hand with the golden chakra on his forehead.
"Please pull through Kakashi…I love you." I whispered before concentrating on his brain.
It took about 15 minutes but I was able to restore all of the damaged cells in his brain and body that all the other medical ninja couldn't and smiled since he responded by humming in his sleep.
Slowly but surely, Kakashi opened his eyes into the dimly lit room. I still sat on the bed next to him and looked down at him lovingly without consciously knowing my own actions.
"Ki…kiki." Kakashi said weakly.
"Shh…it's okay. You are safe now. How do you feel? What can you remember?" I said soothingly as I held his white sheet covered cheek.
"I remember Itachi and Kisame attacking…looking for Naruto. I couldn't stop them…" He said quietly.
"You did all you could. Itachi's sharingan is very dangerous Kakashi. I'm surprised he didn't kill you. However, you were stuck in there….for 72 hours at least. Right?" I stated.
"How did you know?" He said with shock.
"Let's just say that I can predict and handle any gen-jutsu better than anyone you will ever meet." I said with a smile.
"Are you okay?" I then asked and I looked a little deeper into his eyes.
"I am…now that you've come back." He said as he lifted his arm up the side of the sheet to hold my cheek too.
"No Kakashi…we mustn't. Remember what I told you about us." I said with a hint of pain as I stood up from the bed to decline his touch.
"Why do you want it this way Kiki? I can see right through you and I know you won't be able to kill your emotions….and you know damn well I won't even try. If I kill my love for you…then I will be a heartless shinobi. I never want to be like that." He said with a tint of anger but mostly concern.
Suddenly I heard the footsteps of the doctor coming back down the hall. I only had about 30 more seconds.
"Fine. Don't kill your emotions. But don't put them on me either. I can't love you so give your heart to someone who will love you…the way you need to be loved." I said with sorrow before backing up and teleporting before the doctor could walk in the door.
"Mr. Hatake! You're awake!" The doctor said with surprise.
I helped Kakashi, now I have to stay away. I can't love him…I don't know how to in my situation and it's not fair to him at all to love someone who can't love in return.
I found myself in the warm caves of hell again and looked around in the darkness to see a pair of wolf eyes on me.
"Tsukiko why did you go?" Calcifer said in our mind link as he sat by the entrance to Chiya's den.
"I had to…I had to fix him Calcifer." I whispered.
"Why fix someone you refuse to love?"
"Because…I want him to be happy." I finished.
Calcifer looked concerned but he turned and walked to lay with his family again. Just as he did, the symbol on my arm burned. The devil wants to see me.
Oh god….he knows.
I walked through the caves and into the devil's office to see what he wanted.
"It seems that we had a little reunion on our hands my sweet. I have 3 new chakra souls I want…badly and I feel that it is time for you to take on the big time ninja. You see, you captured one of the legendary Sannin for me the other day…now I want the other two and the companion of the first one you took." The devil said with a smile as he approached me.
I kept my poker face up and looked serious for the show. The devil stopped and handed me a scroll the details.
"Consider it done master." I said as I licked his cheek with seduction and began to walk off.
"Oh and one more thing my sweet." He said to stop me.
Shit….
"You will need Chiya on this mission. Good luck." He finished.
I smirked in satisfaction for not getting caught but at the same time…I am freaking out!
I walked down to the den to see that Chiya was awake but the rest of the lot was still asleep.
"Mama I need you. I don't know how I am going to pull this off…" I said in our mind link.
"What's the mission?" She asked calmly.
"He wants me to…to…he wants me to kill Tsunade and master Jiraiya…as well as Orochimaru's accomplice." I said with concern.
"You mean the woman that saved your life after that night when your mother attacked?" Chiya asked.
"Yes…and Jiraiya. Jiraiya and I go way back to the times of me as a child. He's the one that introduced Naruto's parents to me. Without Jiraiya, I wouldn't be as close to Naruto as I am now and without Tsunade, I wouldn't be alive and have the love of a big sister. We may have different parents but we are actually blood cousins on the 1st Hokage's side of the family. I feel so much closer to her though." I said sadly as I looked at the scroll.
"There has to be another way to complete the mission but still keep your friends safe Tsukiko." Shadowwalker said as she stood up and shook her coat out.
"I don't know…I need the souls…I can't use my own chakra for the souls because that would give it away. Tsunade has an too much of an intense amount of chakra. I only have so many stocks of chakra and I need them for the plan…" I said as I walked around in thought.
"Mix the chakras." Chiya stated.
"Mix them? What do you mean?" I asked with confusion yet curiosity.
"Well, why don't you try this…"
~Shizune's POV~
This is not good! Naruto may be healed but we need a safer place for him to rest. They've already done their summons! I do feel safe with a small clone of Katsuyu, Tsunade's slug, but at the same time, I never thought I would see Manda, Orochimaru's summon and Gamabunta here too! This looks bad…
I observed and noticed that Tsunade is reaching her limits with her chakra. She only has a limited amount of times that she can regenerate before the side effects hit…
Just as Manda caught Gamabunta's sword in his mouth and coiled himself around Katsuyu, a big cloud of smoke came from just next to them.
"WHAT!?" I exclaimed as a giant wolf with a tail made of fire appeared and grabbed Manda's neck and bit down.
I saw blood drizzle down the purple and black skinned snake; tinting it with a dark red. A caped person stood on the large wolf's head and held a large scythe.
"Chiya…it's been a long time." I heard Manda say in the distance.
The wolf growled and bit down harder. The snake hissed in pain and I saw Kabuto jump up to attack the cloaked figure.
Is this another enemy?
"It is time you go to where you belong Kabuto!" A woman's voice came from the cloaked figure as she got ready.
That voice sounds so familiar…
The cloaked figure swung the scythe and it pierced right into Kabuto. He couldn't even defend or strike back! His chakra level was just about out and he was very low on options. Looks like he couldn't even stand a chance.
It was as if the stab was in slow motion…the blade slid through his torso like he was soft butter. The hook of the scythe had grabbed something black from inside Kabuto and tore it out like pulling wallpaper off a wall.
"What is that!?" I asked in shock.
"It can't be…"Katsuyu said as she listened to Tsuande.
"What!? Who is that?" I asked in upmost curiosity.
"Lady Tsunade said that this person is none other than the infamous Guardian or the grim reaper as many claim to know." Katsuyu said as she told me what Lady Tsunade's conclusions were.
The dark substance that came out of Kabuto was still and lifeless. It was as if it was a dead figure or a silhouette. Suddenly, the cloaked figure grabbed the black silhouette by the neck quickly and did an unknown hand sign with only her right hand!
"Extract and seal!" The woman said as she stabbed the figure with her right hand and pulled out a blue orb of chakra!
She then formed an orb of her own chakra in the other hand and clashed both orbs of chakra together! It was as if she formed two rasengans in both hands at the same time! The two orbs then conjoined into one orb and the scythe absorbed the chakra as if it was a towel. After that, the black silhouette was also absorbed by the scythe.
Since Kabuto was gone, Manda disappeared into a cloud of smoke with a life threatening injury from the large wolf and soon the wolf turned to growl at Gamabunta.
"Easy girl, they are not the enemy." The mysterious cloaked woman said as she threw her scythe to the side and it disintegrated in mid-air.
"I never thought I would see you with my own eyes…Guardian." I heard Tsunade said.
The wolf stood in battle stance but didn't growl anymore. Her white eyes were piercing though, it was as if she was able to look into our souls…she seems blind though.
"Wow so you've heard of me Lady Tsunade? I am honored." The woman said as she crossed her arm.
"You seem quite familiar. It is as if I've heard your voice somewhere before. You seem to know Tsunade too." Jiraiya said.
"Chiya, wolf mother of all demon wolves….it's been quite a long time since we've seen you around." Gamabunta said with a froggish smirk.
"Gamabunta? I thought I recognized your scent. If you're here, the other must be Katsuyu. It's has been a long time." Chiya said as she eased up her stance.
"So it's true. You have lost your sight Chiya." Katsuyu commented.
"Yes, but it does not affect my fighting skills. In fact, I'm stronger than before." Chiya said.
"What business do you have here Guardian?" Tsunade said to bring the conversation back.
"I'm here for souls. Specifically you two and Kabuto. However, it is not my wish to take them for you see; you are most dear to me. Jiraiya sensei is correct about me being so familiar. You did know me…very well." The woman said before reading up her hand to remove her hood.
My eyes widened in complete shock. A beautiful mane of red hair fell out of the hood and a very beautiful woman with black scars over her eye lids down to her cheeks came into open sight. Then as if it was a transformation jutsu, she closed her dark eyes and her hair suddenly turned from red into a honey blonde just like Tsunade's hair and her scars disappeared. She opened her eyes to reveal beautiful emerald orbs.
"Tsukiko." I simply said as I suddenly recognized her.
"So Kakashi wasn't lying, you really are alive." Jiraiya said as he smirked.
"Tsu…kiko…"Lady Tsunade said slowly and with upmost shock.
I could see tears slowly forming in her eyes as she looked up at Tsukiko.
"I've missed you greatly. Oneesan." Tsukiko said before lady Tsunade jumped with great speed to reach Tsukiko.
In the blink of an eye, lady Tsunade was standing on the white wolf's head and embracing Tsukiko.
"Thank you Gamabunta for your assistance." Jiraiya said before he jumped onto the giant wolf's head as well.
"See you another time Chiya, summon if you need me again Jiraiya. Take care. Boys! Let's go." Gamabunta said before disappearing into a large cloud of smoke.
"I trust that my assistance is no longer needed. I shall go recover now." Katsuyu said from below me.
Katsuyu then disappeared into a cloud of smoke and left just the large wolf out in the field.
"How can this be!? You died as an Anbu almost 10 years ago!" Tsunade said as she looked at Tsukiko.
"Well it turns out that my mother sold my soul to the devil. I was to die on my 16th birthday. On the mission, a demon took over one of the ninja's body and took my life. Since then, my soul has been locked away and I am to be a reaper under the devil's command for 100 earth years. I feel as I am losing myself though…the dark chakra within me is multiplying and one day I may have to give into the evil." I heard her say.
She suddenly looked down at me and her expression suddenly went blank. In a flash, she was down by my side and looking at Naruto.
I forgot she was his care taker after the 4th death!
"He fought Kabuto!?" She suddenly said in shock as she bent down to grasp Naruto in her arms.
"Yes, in fact, he protected me." Lady Tsunade said as she walked up to us with Jiraiya.
"Wolf-sight." Tsukiko said as she examined Naruto.
"This was bad. He was on the edge of death…if you weren't here Tsunade, Kabuto would have killed him." I said as I gently brushed Naruto's hair away from his sleeping face.
~Tsukiko's POV~
His chakra flow to the heart was severed…Tsunade mended it incredibly well. It seems her healing skill has improved since the last time I have had the pleasure of seeing her work. His vitals and organs looked a bit strained but no longer damaged as critically as before. The cell count is incredibly high. She must have increased it tenfold in order to keep his heart from failing and dealing with permanent damage.
I suddenly looked at his hands and then to the ground up ahead and pieced together an incredible discovery.
"So Jiraiya Sensei…he's just like Minato. He's able to do the Rasengan now huh?" I asked with happy tears in my eyes.
"How did you know?" He asked in surprise.
"The damage to his hands resembles similar damage I saw on Minato's when he first learned. His chakra also looks like it was concentrated to the hands the most out of any place in his body. The aftermath of the Rasengan is evident over there in the ground." I said as I held Naruto's hand.
"You can see that!?" Shizune asked me in shock.
"Indeed. I've worked on my wolf-sight for many years in hell and now I can see how many cells are accumulating and the damage that was once done to muscles and blood circulations. It is so sharply accurate to the point of me being able to heal any type of poison or injury." I said before placing a kiss on Naruto's forehead and placing him down on the ground again.
I saw Tsunade's necklace around Naruto's neck and smiled.
"He's growing so fast. I can't believe it sometimes." I said as I got up and looked at them.
"Since you've been gone, he's been talking non-stop about you. And there is a high caution level on your head. The Hokage wished you could return to the village but since Kakashi said you were dangerous, everyone is to be on high alert if they see you." Jiraiya said.
"You didn't tell Naruto about me did you?" I asked.
"No. Kakashi requested that I keep your story a secret, he does not know who you were before your death." Jiraiya stated.
"Good, it needs to stay that way. Since you left the village Jiraiya, I should be the one to inform you of my actions. The day that Orochimaru attacked Konoha, I was summoned by the 3rd Hokage. I was the one that took Orochimaru and the 3rd's soul. I didn't even know Sarutobi sensei knew of the reaper summons." I said as I crossed my arms.
"Kakashi knows about all of this, correct?" Jiraiya asked.
"Yes. I'm afraid him and I are stuck in a bit of a hard situation. It's best if you don't know more about that. For the time being, I have more business to conduct. I need something from you two." I said as I summoned my scythe.
"What kind of business?" Shizune asked.
"I need your souls…however; I have conducted a cover up jutsu so I won't really have to take your souls. I need just a piece of your chakra." I said as I tried explaining what I was to do.
"Are you going to do what you did to Kabuto?" Lady Tsunade asked in caution.
"Well…sort of. I actually took Kabuto's real soul to hell but his chakra I released and cloaked with mine. The devil has a really troubling plan he will set out and start in a few months. I'm trying to take some of the power out of his plan by doing this. I can't really explain right now but in time I will." I stated.
"What do we need to do?" Jiraiya asked.
"Just stand still." I said before starting my extracting jutsu.
I turned back into my reaper form as I tapped Jiraiya's arm and as I pulled back, a stream of blue chakra was extracted from Jiraiya. It formed into a ball in my hand and I formed another chakra orb in my other hand and clashed them together. I then had Jiraiya and Tsunade make a clone of themselves and then I cloned myself as well. I had my clone use the scythe to take Jiraiya's clone's soul and I placed a piece of paper with the word "seal" on it and had my scythe absorb it. I did the same with Tsunade's clone and then dismissed my clone and scythe.
"It is done. I took a copy of your soul and a bit of your chakra to make it look like I killed you. Once the plan is in action, I will release the soul and chakra so the devil can't use them. I fear it is time for me to go though." I said as I looked up at Chiya.
"We have much work to do Tsukiko. Since this worked, we must go to the chamber of souls and do the same to them." Chiya said.
"You have to go? Why not come back to the village? Whatever mess you're in, we can help Kiki! I am now the 5th Hokage and I will protect you." Tsunade said as she grasped my hand.
"This is much bigger than you and the entire fire nation. I have a plan but I can't come back just yet. The day I do though, promise that you will capture me and lock me somewhere secure with maximum security. I don't know what kind of state I will be in when I come back and I could be evil or infected with a demonic bug the devil injects by the time I try and escape. I will say only one thing if I am not evil and can be trusted again but don't ever release me if I don't say it." I said as I took one last look at Naruto.
"And what will that be?" She said.
"Itcha Itcha Paradise volume 23." I said with a wide smile.
"Really? Are you serious?" She said as she suddenly glared at Jiraiya.
"Tsukiko I am honored!" He said with a pervy laugh.
"My favorite novel in the series. Anyways my demonic side won't say something like that so if I say it, it is really me." I said before walking back towards Chiya.
"Wait! What happens now!?" Tsunade yelled over to me.
"Patience. I will return…just hope for the best and please…tend to Naruto. One day he will learn of me. If I can't tell him myself when I get back, I trust one of you to." I said before waving.
"Safe travels back. I knew one day you would make Hokage Oneesan." I said before touching Chiya's front left leg and teleporting us back to hell.
~Tsunade's POV~
"Jiraiya…do you think she will make it back?" I asked in concern.
"I've never seen anyone with such an intense chakra level…she seems much more careful than before. I think she will pull through. We just have to trust in her and prepare for the worse if this doesn't pan out. I'm more worried about this plan that the she said the devil was preparing." Jiraiya said before picking up Naruto and carefully placing him over his shoulder.
Yay I'm back! Well I will say that I find it a kind of hilariously embarrassing form of cheating if you are in a relationship and you are also writing fan fictions about other men. XD Anyways, I am no longer in writer's block or in a relationship so I am back baby!
